The staff at Frankfurt were incredibly rude telling passengers “I don’t have time for you”. I’ve never had a worse experience than with the ground staff Lufthansa in Frankfurt. Avoid at all costs.
Pro: "the crew were amazing. The food was good. 20 minutes late in a snowstorm, amazing. Seats were comfortable. I will definitely fly Lufthansa again."

Contra: "Really great flight. Can’t say enough about it."
Contra: "Agent changed our flight to Munich and sent as a email with with confirmation on July 10. involuntary. On July 20. I checked Lufthansa app and found that only flight that was shown was flight Toronto-Thunder Bay. After 3 hours of phoning I found that flight from Munich to Toronto wasn’t available for date that was given us in email. Only option was day earlier or later. Left us to take day earlier and we could not changed last flight( Toronto- Thunder Bay). We had to come on Aug 22. and stay in Toronto for 27 hours and than take a flight to Thunder Bay on Aug 23. We lost a day of our vacation, had to stay at hotel. Not good experience at all. We still don’t know whom to complain about that."
Contra: "Great food, comfortable seats, enjoyed the whole 11 hour flight."

Contra: "New planes have 9 sits in the rove (economy class) which affects the passengers comfort."
Pro: "Entertainment and food were geat and a great distraction from the seating arrangement and the horrible leg area."
Contra: "Not having a chair leg in the middle of the leg area. being able to sit next to my partner instead of having us split up. If we bought two tickets at the same time we should have been able to sit together. Lastly the huge delay that caused us to miss are final flight."

Pro: "The agent worked hard to find us another flight to rome"
Contra: "Our plane sat on turnac in Toronto waiting for a parking gate for 30minutes making us miss our connecting flight. Finally arrived but missed our train to Florence had to stay Saturday night in Rome while our villa in Lucca sat empty which was paid for"
Pro: "All good - Lufthansa even handled an unexpected air traffic delay well, meaning my connection still worked. Great price too - booked at short notice and Lufthansa business was half the price of BA. Far better device too."
Contra: "No negatives."
Pro: "The crew was amazing and so welcoming! They did not flinch when they saw my three-year-old son and went out their way to make sure we had everything we needed. It was very nice to be greeted with such hospitality!"
Pro: "Food quality was good, and movies had a great selection. Boarding went quickly."
Contra: "We did not request special meals because in the past there has always been an option without cheese. For both legs of the trip, everything had cheese. They tasted great, but left my husband eating only bread. At the first meal the crew just shrugged their shoulders. Second meal they brought him a snack from business class, but it had cream cheese on the sandwich. Drinks were only served during the meals on an 8 hour flight. When crew came back through at the first meal, they only had two bottles of wine in hand offering top offs (no cart, just physically carrying the bottles). We do not drink alcohol. During the second meal I did not even see them offering the top offs. All other airlines have at least come through a couple of times offering water or soda. Announcements were only audible half the time. Customs forms were confusing for people passing through Canada. This might have been explained over the intercom, but again, it was hard to hear."

Received headphones, a pillow and a blanket for the flight. Legroom was good, but probably cramped for people over 6'0" tall. 24 hour online check-in was smooth an trouble free. I like having the boarding pass on my phone. No paper to carry around."

Pro: "The on board crew worked hard to make up for the 2 hour delay. I was happy to be fed in the right hour flight, but the food was not very good. I did not download the app for inflight entertainment so I can't rate it."
Contra: "The plane departure was delayed and the passengers were left wondering about the flight. There was no announcement to explain until an hour after the departure time. All monitors showed original departure."
Pro: "Very pleasant experience: comfortable airplane and helpful crew, timely departure/arrival, continuing support with information about baggage after arrival."

Contra: "It took over an hour to drop off a bag prior to boarding. I had already checked in online. There were long lines in Bucharest and simply not enough staff working the Lufthansa desks."
Pro: "The crew was professional and cordial. For some reason the entire AV system needed to be rebooted which required at least 15 minutes."
Contra: "There was supposed to be a meal and a snack on this flight. There was a good meal but the "snack" was a pack of pretzels. I think Lufthansa's partner AC could do a little better. I think the drinks cart should precede the food cart. I did not receive my drink until 3/4 of the way through my meal."
Contra: "Although we had reserved (paid) seats as a family in an entire row, upon check in we were given different seats. We had to spend 20 minutes talking with different agents in order to get our original seats."

Contra: "The flight was considered a Lufthansa flight and had a Lufthansa flight number, but was operated by Air Canada. We could not check in online ahead of time for some reason. When we got to the airport, we tried to check in at the Lufthansa kiosk and check in line, but they told us we had to go to the Air Canada area. The ticketing/check in process was very confusing. As for the food, the chicken "wrap" was not a wrap, and was a weird Hot-Pocket type meal. After each meal, we ended up having to hold our garbage for quite some time which made manuvering in and out of seats a little tricky. I wish the seat cushion had a little more cushion since we were sitting for so long. Also at some point the overhead lights came on and stayed on, which was annoying if you were trying to nap."
Contra: "The return leg has been nothing but a disaster, in every way possible, specifically my time and financially. At no point in the booking process, when I paid over $800 for the trip, was I told that I needed a specific travel visa (Canadian ETA) to fly back into Toronto for my return flight. Subsequently when I checked in for my flight yesterday morning in Manchester, England, I did not have the required travel documents and had to be rerouted onto a flight into the U.S. at a cost to me of $350. The rerouted flight got me to Washington Dulles airport, where I then had to purchase a second flight to get me home to Cleveland, Ohio, at an additional/extra cost of $450. MY CAR IS PARKED AT TORONTO PEARSON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT!!! I am having to now rent a car and drive there tomorrow (Friday) to collect my car, at another additional cost of $100 plus a 10-hour round trip. Due to the lack of information and communication on your companies behalf, I am down close to a $1,000 and will lose 2-days in work as of the additional days I am having to travel back to Toronto to collect my vehicle. I would appreciate contact from your organization to find the avenue I need to take for compensation of my time and finances. Regards"
Contra: "This airline has little respect for its customers. In the economy/coach cabin, they squeeze the seat distances to such an extent that, when the person in front of you leans their chair back, you cannot get out of your seat at an upright angle. You have to significantly bend your body. To not loose your balance, you have to grab on to the seat in front of you and that disturbs the other passenger. If they're sleeping, they can be woken up by that. Lufthansa does not care much for its passengers. Nor do many other companies, for that matter, but I think Lufthansa is taking things further than most airlines. It is a disgrace. Their brand is not what it once was."
Contra: "My flight was cancelled due to the pilots' strike. I only learned about this when I attempted online check in. Lufthansa never attempted to notify me. Then when I called in to the Romania Service Center to rebook, the phones went down in the middle of the call. That is understandable given the extreme volume of calls they were handling. What is unacceptable, is that they made no attempt to contact me once the phones were up. I ended up calling the U.S. service center at 1am local time to rebook...only 3 hours before I needed to leave for the airport. It took an hour - which I paid for at direct dial international rates - to find a flight. I'm very grateful for the U.S. service rep who was kind and helpful. She was the one bright spot in this poorly handled situation."
Contra: "The flight was delayed for 2.5 hours, for a reason they never made clear after they let the passengers wait in line for 45 minutes to board. Once aboard, the Lufthansa planes were much much less comfortable than the Air Canada plane I took to Frankfurt. There is very little space and the seats are crammed together. The food they served was very bad, especially again in comparison with Air Canada. Once we arrived in Toronto, they made us wait nearly an hour before exiting the aircraft. It would seem that the Toronto airport would have to know we were coming and should have prepared accordingly, but apparently not. We sat, several passengers missed their connecting flights and were angry. I nearly missed my flight, having to run and race through customs (who are in no hurry)."

I asked the male flight attendant about changing airplanes, said our new gate was right next to our arriving gate. He said no problem. He failed to mention we had to go through customs and security again, and walk almost a Kilometer in the process. Fortunately they held the Amsterdam plane because many passengers would have missed it. I did not appreciate the lack of information from the flight attendant, however holding the plane was a godsend."
Pro: "The attendants on Austrian air are all very nice and helpful. You can make any request of them or ask any question and they are happy to help. Great customer service. Arrived on time. Also, very good entertainment options!"
Contra: "The seats are very uncomfortable on Austrian air. The only way I would fly them again would be if I had extra money for the exit rows with more leg room. Food isn't great, but no airline food is really great. Boarding was significantly delayed from what it said on the boarding pass, with no updates. But we arrived on time. Getting luggage after flight at Dulles took a really long time, but I think that is more of an airport issue as getting my luggage from another Austrian airlines flight to another airport was a breeze."
Contra: "Austrian Airlines cancelled my flight with no notice, technical difficulties. Woke up before 5 am and went to the airport to find out, then waited in line for two hours to get re-booked on a flight the next day. Really poorly done. No compensation. Would not recommend Austrian Airlines, ever. -Mark Cox"

No luggage until yesterday.It never happen before.But in top of everything my plans in Albania were messed up.I have to pospne my return flight 1 week and the charges are unbelievable tooo much 650 dollars.I am not stopping here.Thank you."

Contra: "The flight from Budapest to Vienna was delayed so we missed our connection to Tel Aviv. The behavior of the ground staff who were supposed to assist us was outrageous. They behaved like a low cost company with one answer to any request, and this is the word "NO". It does not seem logical that we ever go with Austrian again. We do deserve a compensation for the delay and the behavior."

I was sent to three different terminals (which required two different bus transfers) to get to my United flight to the states. I had been warned by a friend that the Paris airport is the worst. It is! And the airlines should bear some responsibility for the lack of clear information. I could write about this for a long time."

Pro: "The B-767 is far superior to the B-777 in comfort; it is not so horribly crowded."
Contra: "Austrian check-in at VIE was a disaster. None of the machines could read my passport; and when you entered the data by alternative methods it STILL required a machine to read the passport--which it exactly what they were unable to do. Thus, it was a circular Catch 22. I went through six different lady agents working my way through the system, until they finally took my bag and let me go. They themselves said it was new to them and they did not fully grasp how it worked and they did not know why it did not accept me. SOFTWARE PEOPLE BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD."

Contra: "Passport control in Vienna was completely disorganized. This is not an Austrian Air issue. Look to Disney World for how to line up large groups of people. Yes, I know Air Baltic is low fare. I have never paid for water on a flight. At least the WC was included in the fare."

Pro: "The entertainment screen was a small 4" screen. The movie selection was outdated. The screen in my seat did not work. Flight attendant said she would "call to have it reset" but it never worked. Fortunately, there was an adjacent empty seat that I moved to on my own initiative and without the flight attendant offering a seat change."
Contra: "I did not like that i was in the bulkhead and there was not sufficient overhead storage for us. The bin was only big enough for 1 backpack. 2 of the 3 of us in that row had to go 2 rows back to store our luggage. This is very inconvenient when deboarding because I have to wait for many others to pass before I get a chance to walk towards the back of the plane to get my luggage."
Contra: "Staff where so unhelpful that I missed my flight and then refused to offer any assistance as to how I could remedy this situation. This cost me over €180 which is a weeks food and stay for me. Don't fly with these guys or with air Croatia."

As the arrival was little late, all the passengers have missed their connection flights in Toronto and there was no notification or communication made on the new flight. When I went to the Air France counter in the airport, the staff has gone for the day and trying to get a hold of telephone rep took 2-3 hours and I by the time I found about my new connection, I was already late. Somehow I managed to get to the Terminal 1 and when I spoke to the lady (indian) at the Check-In counter, she has refused me to Check-In because i slipped the line up. The people in the lineup didn’t have any objection and they let me go first for Check-In as I’m already late to my flight. I wante to say something to her, but I’ve controlled my frustration. Luckily the other person in the Check-In counter offered to help me Check-In. Here is my word to the Indian lady staff “F**k You B***h” - learn some people skills."

Contra: "Too much of hassle checking in as the airlines partners with a couple of other airlines like Jet Airways, WestJet & Aircanada. The food was just okay and the cabin crew refused to serve extra butter. When you are serving extra bread, make sure you serve the butter as well. How could someone eat bread by itself?"

I was told to go to the baggage claim instead by a staff member when I came out of the plane, but this was wrong, so I ended up waiting a very long time for them to bring me my carry on bag to the baggage claim."
Pro: "didn't get my flight you said booking was guaranteed refund 24 hours but when i call to change or refund you said the airline would not change or refund. you didn't live up to your end. if you refund i would consider tat but for now. i would never use kayak again and will post my experience"

I was supposed to get to Toronto at 2pm for a 5pm presentation, but I didn’t get in until 9. I also felt their website was deceptive or maybe needs updating,When I bought my ticket It stated that I would get 3 bags complimentary since it was Canada that wasn’t the case, I was charged for $60 for both."

Contra: "My daughter is in a wheelchair. She was a carry on (I e I carry her on board). The staff knew this but failed to notify the airport. Hence, we had to deplane without a jetway. I didn’t. The steep stairs made it unsafe. Had to wait a long time for a handcranked lift. No one really knew what they were doing and they wanted to put her in an adult wheelchair in spite of my identifying safety issues. My daughter was scared and upset. Epic failure on AA’s part. Communication breakdown on many levels. Shameful."
Pro: "Great Wifi! After reading bad reviews it was actually ok. Flew business on the A319 (single aisle plane) and it reminded me of qantas 737. I think for a short haul day flight I may just put up with economy instead for the price. Food is ok. I think with AA you have to pick your aircraft, it makes a difference what plane you fly as to what you get in business class. FA's were great. Overall I'd fly them again. Food was ok."
Contra: "They asked everyone to put the window shades down but I fly window seat because I like looking out! It was a day flight too! LAX T4 lounge is being refurbished so you need to go to T5 and make sure it's not the regional lounge!"

Whenever I would ask for a napkin (that she had forgotten to give with my drink, I might add) or any other questions, she would come off as annoyed and as if I was testing her patience, which I did not appreciate as I had been having a horrible experience with American Airlines as it was. Also, why do you not serve milk with your coffee? The flight only served half and half, and I cannot have cream in my coffee at all. So unless you want to clean up my diarrhea in your toilets, I suggest you start giving options. It's not like milk is a scarce delicacy in the US. How is it that other airlines offer both milk and cream, but I get told by your staff, rudely, that half and half "is milk" and that it's all you have? Unbelievable. I hate to be a b*** but honestly this isn't the first time that I got treated like this on AA. I always seem to have a horrible experience with this airline."

But the lack of staffing was and a hotel should have been provided to me due to this. I will never fly America Airlines again due to my incoming flight to Toronto and the out bound to Philadelphia (cancelled on the way to Philly for no apparent reason)."

Contra: "I hate paying extra for almost every seat on the plane. It's a con job. Food selection was terrible. If I'm paying anyway, give me better choices. No monitors in plane at all. Entertainment needs to be viewed on a tablet or laptop of some sort."

I was assigned a seat in Row 44 and when I got to my seat there was no luggage compartment for Rows 42,43,44. Centre Row. The crew member said I would have to find room in another compartment but the flight was pretty full and it is awkward trying to find a spot with very little room. Maybe the staff at check in could make passengers aware of this so they could find a compartment as they make their way back the plane. Otherwise it was a wonderful flight
Probably not the airlines fault but covid regulations for boarding and deboarding the plane were completely different. Not sure if covid boarded the plane mid-flight.

Pro: "The check in process was easy and straightforward but we were in the front of the line--which was very long. The lady who checked us in was very nice and pleasant and she was there for boarding as well. This process was very smooth for us."
Contra: "No water available unless you paid for it --same true of coffee and they only take credit cards. Was not able to request seats early and ended up next to the bathroom and lots of people standing in my personal space and the smell is overwhelming--the chemical smell."
Pro: "Seats are comfortable, head rest is adjustable, good leg room, nice entertainment selection and no extra charge for adult beverages!"
Contra: "When we arrived at London Heathrow, there was no gait, no stairs, and no buses to transport passengers to the terminal. We were stuck on the plane for an hour waiting. The crew was helpful in keeping everyone informed and let us know they called the airport staff multiple times for the stairs/buses to get us off and those with connections (me) going. The crew was frustrated too."
Contra: "Flight was diverted for 4 hours due to thunderstorm in Toronto"
Pro: "The flight was delayed prior to leaving the gate, while lined up to take off and during the flight. All delays were promptly explained by members of the flight deck. The cabin crew were outstanding nothing seemed to be too much of a inconvenience to them."
Contra: "It was terrible cold. We received no free food or drinks."

Contra: "It seems amazing to me that BA will leave 50 First and Business Class passengers standing in line while they pre-board "families with young children". Some of the families had children who were 7 or 8 years old and certainly had no need for pre-boarding; its just an opportunistic way of jumping the queue. Similarly, some of the "elderly" passengers who claim to need pre-boarding on departure spring to their feet and dash down the aisle on arrival. Air Canada boards Business Class first on this same route; I'm going to migrate back to them, as virtually everything else on the two flights is comparable."
