we had great time at the Pera Hotel.Hotel is new, very clean and the stuff is great-very kind and helpful.
The location is superb and the price very reasonable for a modest but stylish little hotel. Free wifi in rooms is much appreciated.
my room was rather cramped (there are bigger rooms, maybe at higher cost?). The breakfast was not bad - typical for Turkish budget hotels, but could have included yoghurt, butter, fruit.... and some optional extras eg eggs...... ?
We were lucky enough to get a deal whereby we paid the standard room price for their deluxe room, which was on top floor with impressive 360 degree views of the city and the Bosporous. Also was very well located with regard to cafes, bars, shopping, metro stops, etc.
The one only critique would give is that the top floor can be chilly in the colders months, windows a bit thin and not so well insulated.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Postal services were closed due to the end of ramadan, but the hotelstaff posted are postcards after we left. Bathroom is small by western standards, but modern and clean.
Breakfastbuffet was very basic and the breakfastroom has no natural light. Bathroomdoor didn't close. Showercabine is cramped.
We stayed in Pera hotel for 3 nights. it is great hotel! Very cozy atmosphere and design. The personnel is very friendly and helpful. Amazing view (just for the top floors) for Golden Horn and Topkapi , St. Sophia and a lot of mosques. we had a great pleasure to stay there.
At night it is very loud outside, so you have to close the window not to hear the night life :).
rate is relatevely low but for this qaulity should have been much lower. The hotel is clean but main problem is the space ... the rooms are extremly smal!!!
We stayed in the Pera hotel for 8 nights. The room for three people was very small and there was no daylight to the room, only a door to a smelly staircase in the inner court. But the most uncomfortable thing was that the room was never properly cleaned despite the fact that we politely pointed it out (hair, sand, dirt on the floor, not enough towels, dirty sheets etc). Starting from the moment we started telling the staff about the negative things, they were very much unpolite. The hotel has just been opened but strangely the floor was badly made and made a terrible noise every time you stepped on it. If this was not all, they tried to make us pay 10euros more the price per night. To get the good price, we needed to be three girls demanding.
kind and friendly staff
hair dryers in the rooms, richer breakfast
Very good hotel. Wonderful position in Istanbul near Galata Tower. Very new and clean structure. Nice room with all conforts. Wonderful staff: very kind and helpfull. They speak English. Very good!
The hotel was brand new (they had opened a week before our arrival) so at the beginning we had no tv, no hairdryer and even the room numbers weren't indicated... But the hotel was evolving every day before our eyes so by the end of our 3-night stay nothing was missing. The hotel staff is very friendly and nice. Rooms were cleaned and towells were changed daily. Although I must say rooms are tiny. Breakfast is served in the hotel lobby and durng our stay they had only 3 tables for may be 20 rooms... This will probably be improved soon. The location is perfect if you prefer Taxim/Beyoglu area (shopping, nightlife).
