Pro: "I was stopped at gate check in and taken to one side as passport security had reported that I was intoxicated. I was badly injured in the armed forces and have lost my hearing which affects my balance. I asked for an aisle seat as I'm a big guy as s personal trainer. But was given seat E. Next to a huge obese guy. He slept whole journey, must of had nightmares and jumped and banged me repeatadly. I had the first meal, which was not great but edible. I couldn't eat it properly as I couldn't move my left arm due to the blob Sat next to me. I asked the stewardess to wake me at the meal times so I could get more food. She didn't. Not once. I couldn't even get out the seat to go toilet or get any of the help yourself stuff outside the toilets due to the fat blob I was put next too. Totally disgusted with the whole flight and crew when everytime I've used the same company before it was excellent."

We paid for a hotel for the night (we should have landed at 1am) and instead landed at 7am, so we had to completely skip our hotel and had no sleep for the wedding the next day. We’re out of $120 for the hotel we already paid for and the staff gave us no help in form of compensation."

Only good thing was that Emirates gave me a boarding pass to a later flight and a meal voucher that was accepted with bad grace by the barista at terminal B Costas. Two of the meal voucher choices Cozi & Burger King had gone out of business!"

Contra: "When I boarded my flight, a man and his family took my seat and forced me to sit in the middle of two very large men and made my 7 hour flight very uncomfortable. I purposely chose that seat for leg room and even though business class was empty, they could not provide me with a different seat."

Contra: "The sandwich served with mayonnaise and chicken was at room temperature. It didn't set well with my stomach. The plane landed and then parked so far away from the terminal. It took a half hour to exit the plane, board the non-air conditioned bus, and arrive at the terminal. The shuttle bus was extremely uncomfortable!"

I have been on many flights, and this was perhaps the worst meal I've ever had. The coffee was bitter enough to make me gag (even after I added cream), and the chicken was flavorless. The boarding process was a mess. It was hectic and unorganized. The flight was delayed an hour, and the crew failed to provide an adequate rationale as to why. Speaking of the crew, they weren't helpful. At one point, I had asked to use the restroom, and I couldn't get in. Again the crew provided no rationale as to why. Then, a few HOURS later, a lady approached me and said I could go "very quickly". This was my first time flying with Emirates and I don't think I'll be flying with them again."

Contra: "There was so little leg room that my knees touched the seat in front of me. Everyone in the row had to get out for the window person to use the bathroom. There were 2 kids next to me that stood on their seats and jumped and screamed almost the entire flight. No one said anything."

Contra: "Flight initially was said to be 1 hour late and then it was cancelled altogether. There was no information about why and what are the next steps. People were just following blindly as the group moved, finally everyone was led out of the airport after immigration cancellation, then to baggage claim where we had to collect all checked in big bags and board a bus to take us to hotel . The hotel was good but getting there with the big bags for just a few hours and then the flight was scheduled for night (12 hrs later than original schedule) They could have just held the checked in baggage with them, or arranged an alternate aircraft to arrive sooner."

Pro: "I was late ( I had to drive 230 Km ) and I managed to call in advance the company that was doing the check-in on behalf of SWISS - I asked them the Check-in time closing time and by almost flying ( speeding like crazy ) I arrived before that moment."
Contra: "I did not check the terms and conditions of the ticket. I am a Star Alliance Gold member and I was expecting SWISS to have a similar booking system like the others I fly with. I found out that the ticket fare did not contain checked luggage ( so I had to pay a hefty fee for it ) and also my 20" wheeled case that was ok in all the other flights I took it with me, this time was oversized and overweight . My wife took out the 2 laptops so it became within weight limits but still oversized - My wife paid for the fee ( I wasn't there at the time and she is not a such experienced flyier as I am ) . When I found out about the fee, I checked their rules and I found out that the hand luggage is allowed to be 22" . I saw in the airplane a lot of people with cases having the same size as mine, that went as checked luggage at a cost fo around 40 . I want to see how can I get my money back . . ."

Pro: "Passengers completely ignored the commands of the crew and crew was unable to take control of the crowd (passengers refused to follow crew's multiple demands to sit down during the high turbulence, finally crew gave up to force passengers to take a sit). Several times, standing passengers fell on the sitting ines. When at the end of the flight, the issue was pointed out to the captain and supervising flight attendant, both became aggressively defensive to the point of being rude."

Pro: "I was supposed to visit my father who was just put in a nursing home for a few days and the day of my flight I received an email from Swiss that they had rebooked me for the next day! So frustrating! The trip would have gotten so short that it wasn't worth it so I had to reschedule it 6 weeks out. It got my dad really upset! Thank god his health is stable at the moment."

Contra: "There is little that can be done to make a long haul flight comfortable when a baby is screaming and crying for it's entire duration. Its behaviour cannot be helped. But it certainly didn't make the flight comfortable, nor did the young child kicking incessantly at the back of my and my daughter's seats. This could have occurred on any flight, but it didn't contribute to having a positive experience on this one. The flight attendant serving breakfast completely ignored that fact that I was awake and strolled past without asking if I would like anything as meals were being served. I informed another flight attendant that we hadn't been offered breakfast and she was able to provide us with meals. Besides this the cabin crew were courteous and pleasant. I've flown with Swiss on other occasions and have had better experiences. I'd like to think this was just a one off and not representative of the level of service that Swiss normally provides."

The gate agents then allowed those who checked their rollaboards to board before Zone 1,which was fine. However, a bunch of people without gate check stickers on the rollaboards were also allowed to board before Zone 1, which was aggravating. There was a long delay on the tarmac, during which we had to pull back to the gate or to a maintenance area before we finally took off. When we arrived in Vegas there was no gate for us to pull into, which led to another long delay of an already long and delayed flight."

Contra: "The positives don’t even come close to offsetting the misery of Delta’s seats. I honestly don’t remember the last time I was so cramped and uncomfortable. I’m not an abnormally large man - 6 feet 200 lbs - and there was no room for my legs or my shoulders in an “upgraded economy” seat. I fly weekly for work on another major airline, and only took this one in a crunch. But I am quite certain this was my last Delta flight and I’ll be advising others similarly. The service and entertainment aren’t sufficient to mask an awful seat configuration."

Contra: "Went First Class. What a joke! Coach seats & service. Only difference is they leave the middle seat empty. This appears to be the European standard (we flew on 3 different airlines) for 1st Class within Europe flights. Save your money, fly coach within Europe."

Pro: "The people who work for Lufthansa are the nicest i’ve met, on par with Turkish airlines. The times for boarding and departure were respected, the flight was short but pleasant."
Contra: "The long lines. After check in and security, boarding could have involved less of a standing and waiting, with a bit of ahead communication that could be attained. For instance indicate the order of boarding, time until boarding, and place where the passengers from rows 50-70 should form ia line..."

Pro: "All good - Lufthansa even handled an unexpected air traffic delay well, meaning my connection still worked. Great price too - booked at short notice and Lufthansa business was half the price of BA. Far better device too."

Pro: "I have been spoiled with the large planes, so the small ones to me are cramped, but thats with all carriers not just Lufthansa. I generally prefer to fly Lufthansa when heading to Europe."

Contra: "It took over an hour to drop off a bag prior to boarding. I had already checked in online. There were long lines in Bucharest and simply not enough staff working the Lufthansa desks."

Contra: "Although we had reserved (paid) seats as a family in an entire row, upon check in we were given different seats. We had to spend 20 minutes talking with different agents in order to get our original seats."

Contra: "My flight was cancelled due to the pilots' strike. I only learned about this when I attempted online check in. Lufthansa never attempted to notify me. Then when I called in to the Romania Service Center to rebook, the phones went down in the middle of the call. That is understandable given the extreme volume of calls they were handling. What is unacceptable, is that they made no attempt to contact me once the phones were up. I ended up calling the U.S. service center at 1am local time to rebook...only 3 hours before I needed to leave for the airport. It took an hour - which I paid for at direct dial international rates - to find a flight. I'm very grateful for the U.S. service rep who was kind and helpful. She was the one bright spot in this poorly handled situation."

Contra: "All would have been great, but the cross Atlantic had a locked seat assignment. I was assigned last row and middle seat, I could not change seat when there were other seats available at check-in. United would not let agents change either. Maybe kayak related? Expedia always allows seat changes"

Pro: "Seat backs are flatter, which for me (a shorter woman) is much more comfortable than the more contoured seats on other airlines."

Pro: "The crew was incredibly joyful, happy and patient. Always a smile throughout the long flight. Very willing to help. Nice new planes, liked the lower galley for restrooms. Very much appreciated the warm face towels at beginning of flight...would really appreciate a warm face towel at end of flight too. Good amount of water available throughout the flight, sometimes airlines are way too limited on amount of water they make available. Appreciated the wine and aperitif as well. Excellent flight! Would try to fly Lufthansa again!"

Contra: "12 hour long flight from Frankfurt to LA was exhausting."

Contra: "No gluten-free food when they served the food. They said that they didn't serve gluten-free food on short flights, but this was two and a half hours. Also, I had asked for a gluten-free meal when I booked my flight. Not good in today's world, when quite a few people have to eat gluten-free. (I am a medical doctor.)"

Pro: "I used to fly lufthansa for my europe travel for work about 15 years ago a lot and thought in recent years it may not have been as good but these flights made me appreciate Lufthansa anew. Crew extremely helpful and polite, always followed up to any requests. Instead of barking at us like United or American crew, they went out of their way to help my daughter get a makeshift icepack for some very painful bumps she got during our vacation. Crew also kept the bathrooms clean from time to time, which was a welcome relief for such a long flight. Desk staff/service desk also was helpful in directing us during the 5 hr layover to things at the airport itself that we could do. They also helped reprint the boarding pass and write down the baggage tags when security made me lose those by separating my wallet and boarding passes into mutliple bins."
Contra: "Phone service. When I tried to book my seats and meals, the lady kept getting things wrong, and ended up not getting me the seats I had specifically ended up asking for. So, when I arrived at the airport and printed my boarding cards, those were seats I did NOT want and all the service desks insisted that's what I asked for. No low carb meal option was surprising. Meal service sometimes felt like too close to each other else too far apart from snacks - didn't feel like we had enough time to digest and get some sleep, while at other times we were seeking out snacks.Overall good quality of food however."

Contra: "In Boston, the boarding process was worst I have seen of any airlines and terribly organized. Given it was 747 flight, the boarding took over an hour and 50 min behind scheduled start time. The crew did not board until after the scheduled boarding time. No crowd control or baggage control announcements. compounded with traffic on the runway"

Contra: "The flight was delayed (again!) for some 40 minutes and I was worried that I would miss my connection flight in Atlanata. Fortunately the pilot made up for the delay (probably costing the airline thousands in fuel). It seems these days that every KLM flight I take is delayed. This stretch goes back to 2015! Yet KLM prides itself as being punctual. Not the KLM that I have been flying!"

Contra: "Delayed flight, horrible baggae policy when the flight is actually operated by a partner of the company you bought the ticket from and not the actual company. Dirty seats, no in-flight entertainment whatsoever (not even a magazine)."

First bag arrived a day late, second after I had left Billund and it was six days before the bag with my clothes reached me. I was told I will have 100 euro credit for clothing, but in the winter and for 6 days, this was not even close to the amount I needed for clothing and necessities, to have my time here."

Pro: "Thankful for coffee being served without charge. Not all airlines do that."

Pro: "From downloading the KLM app to the final touchdown of my final flight, everything was an ease, checking in, the option to change my seat, the service received was great."
Contra: "The ability to state a seat or meal preference within the app would be good but otherwise all was good."

Contra: "Our flight was canceled from Amsterdam to Bordeaux and did not receive any direction and had to find alternate flights for ourselves with the personal expense of using our own cell phones. Then our luggage lost for 3 days. Not happy!"

Pro: "Staff at Schipol airport were lovely and very helpful. Cabin crew were friendly and efficient. On board snack was nice."
Contra: "Elbow room is a little bit awkward and I didn't get to sit next to my fiance WE will still definitely recommend KLM though!"

Pro: "I was upgraded to Buisness so, no complaints"
Contra: "No Marlboro light cigarettes on the duty free shopping cart"

Pro: "Short layover connecting from US flight and luggage transferred ok to destination. Food option not great but at least they didn't charge for it unlike some other airlines. No entertainment but to be expected on such a short flight."

Contra: "No power to charge phones, laptops, etc and no WiFi available. For such a long trip (10 hours) below industry standard."

Contra: "I requested low fat meals. The first one, was OK. But they forgot my request for the second one."

Contra: "I paid extra for a window seat, but due to the poor alignment of the seats with the actual windows, I actually sat next to a wall! Nol much to see out of a wall. If KLM are going to charge extra for a window seat, then they should make sure there is a window there! If the seat had actually had a window it would have been an excellent flight."

Pro: "Much more civilised for the same cost (or less) as the budget carriers. Proper food and drinks included as is the norm with international flights even though it's a very short haul."
Contra: "The stinky guy behind me, but that's not the airline's fault."

Pro: "There was no flight! So it's one thing that you have to cancel the flight because of fog; but rebooking us the next day on a flight through New York that doesn't exist, was way below the standard of care I would expect from any airline. Apparently, the NY to LAX flight that KLM booked us on, was only one leg of the flight to Sydney Australia; and according to some airline agreement, only Australian nationals are permitted to take that flight! Running around at JFK from terminal four, to terminal seven, to terminal eight, back to terminal four, to get a flight out, was a bit much considering how tired we were – not to mention hungry, since KLM neglected to provide the kosher meals we had requested with plenty of time – BOTH going to and returning from Europe."

Pro: "Flight was delayed by over three hours."

Pro: "The service of the crew onboard"
Contra: "Entertainment not to many recent movies and the boarding process was a little bit confusing."
