We were disappointed with KLM when comparing with other airline companies offerings when you book in Premium Economy."

Cabin crew were in such hurry that they missed our row couple times. They served water only 4 times for 10 hours flight and refused to give a whole bottle for some bogus security concern."

Pro: "The most important part of a flight is arriving and returning safely, so in this regard, Aeroflot made the grade. The airplanes appeared new and on one of four flights, there seemed to be a decent amount of legroom in coach."
Contra: "The crew...upon boarding, they literally say things like "come on, come on, hurry up" when you are moving as fast they allow you to move. It was just rude. In Moscow, the boarding staff were even more pushy and rude. The flight attendants are relatively polite, but definitely not friendly. The bathrooms smelled of urine upon boarding the flight. The movie system (while it was better than nothing) worked very poorly, froze up, would not take the button presses and aside from a couple of the movies, the majority were from the 1980's, 90's and early 2000's. Lastly, and the worst, the food was over cooked and tasteless. We were served a total of 6 meals on all of our flights. I had requested gluten free meals. I was served the EXACT SAME FOOD at every single meal! Worse yet, that meal consisted a 2"x 2" piece of chicken (which was palatable), tasteless yellow rice and a teaspoon glob of deathly overcooked spinach. A salad with just olive oil for the dressing. No vinegar, nothing. And a dry rice cake. Seriously, it was the worst airplane food I have ever endured. I would avoid Aeroflot if at all possible."

Contra: "Food was awful. No tea or coffee after the meal. Long delay at Sheremetyvo on taxeyway for de-icer. Audio system on in flight entertainment was high pitched. Screen was dark even with added contrast. Seats rather cramped."

Contra: "3 out of my 4 flight during this trip were late. One of those was at Moscow's SVO, 5 hour delay, because there were no planes! I don't know how does that happen, but that's what we were told. Called to board 3 times, cancelled twice. On my way to Bangkok the plane was late by an hour to the transfer to Moscow's SVO, they taxi's us to the furthest part of the airport and then the bus took about 15 minutes to get us to the terminal. Inside at the transfer gate one officer and about 150 people waiting to be checked. I had to cut the line to reach my flight. Horrible experience, and talking to others who use Aeroflot, I was told this wasn't the first case, but certainly the worst they have seen so far. Avoid this company and maybe even SVO airport as well."

Contra: "The food service really isn't very good. On two of my Aero flights they offered drink service (wine is complimentary beer is not) and hour before the meal. That's fine, but there is nothing offered during the meal(s). Not even water. Several passengers had to contact the attendents to bring coffee because we were offered none. This happened twice. Also, for breakfast there was no egg option, just oatmeal and pancakes. The attendents' English is not that great for international flights--you have to wonder how they are assigned these flights."

Contra: "I missed my connection in 20 minutes because of an hour delay. The airline said the evening flight was fully booked and gave me a red eye instead. I had to find out myself there's another evening flight! When I transferred I made sure that my luggage will move with me to the evening flight, the representative said it will although it was obvious he wasn't sure. All the airline representatives didn't speak good enough English. Last but not least, there was no AC on the plane for the first 3 hours. Of course when I arrived to my destination, my luggage didn't arrive as expected (arrived on the red eye)."
Pro: "The female flight attendants are all stunning in their bright orange uniform."
Contra: "The planes are very tight. Ever since they updated their aircraft they added one or two rows and planes became so narrow! On the way to Moscow we didn't have an entertainment because they monitors didn't work for 30% of the plane. On the way back they delayed the flight for 5 hours because they plane had technical issues and they were changing it. We missed our connection from NY to Miami and since it was a separate ticket I lost those tickets. They didn't update us while we were waiting what's going on. A few times they would announce boarding on the electronic tableau, people would line up and wait for 40 minutes. The staff would just look and say nothing or smile and say "we don't know why you are standing, I didn't tell you to line up!" We had a special meal on the flight. They gave you exactly the same food twice. I was just laughing but other people who had special meals were really upset. If someone asked they would probably say "it's your problem that you don't want to eat like the rest lol! Next time when booking a flight I'll pay more but have a normal experience and not the torture "Russian style""

Contra: "We missed our connection flight in Moscow by 5 minutes, don't understand why they couldn't hold the flight for 10 people just 5 minutes when they knew we had already landed and were held in the plane because nobody was coming to open the doors. No staff waiting to help us get to the connecting flight, no information and the door had been changed. Massive queu to change flights for the following day, they promise a hotel for the night but never happened. I was flying with a child and the only thing they gave us was good voucher for around 5 pounds each not even enough for a decent meal. They said because we didn't have a visa we couldnt leave the terminal they couldn't accommodate us outside the airport and the hotel inside the airport was fully booked. Spent the night in the airport in terrible seats were you couldn't even lie down, no sleep at all. Then the morning flight was delayed 3 hours. Got, finally to Spain and one luggage was missing. Overall a nightmare! Never again I will fly with Aeroflot!"

Contra: "The food was terrible and the flight attendants not very friendly. Not many beverage options and I didn't feel like I could ask for more. Wine was only served during the first meal, and no drink options with the meal if you had already drank your beverage when it came. The menu makes the food sound appealing but it's like fast food, you get your meal and it's nothing like what you expected and a huge letdown. Only one meal option was left when they got to me and I was in the middle of the plane."
Pro: "This was a cheap flight from LAX to ZRH with a layover in Moscow and that's about as good as it gets."
Contra: "The check in personnel was not that helpful and were very slow to check in everyone to their corresponding flights, and since kiosks were not available for aeroflot the experience was unavoidable. The plane economy class is really as uncomfortable as it gets for a transatlantic flight. There were no beer options for the flight (nor vodka which is weird), and flight attendants weren't that happy to talk to you in English. 5 hours wait at Moscow are the worst, if you're thinking on saving some dollars on a transatlantic flight this is not worth it."
Pro: "Cabin staff (Russian) tried very hard, had limited English, drinks available through our flight. In flight entertainment there were a lot of choices (13 1/2 hr flight). For LA to Spain it was the best price."
Contra: "Announcements from flight deck in English very hard to impossible to understand. Most passengers are Russian. There are some differences in culture and etiquette that exist and you can either deal with them or you can't. Their norm is to be willing to stand in long lines. Personal space may be less than what we are accustomed to in US. The airline staff usually have some English but are not interested in having a discussion with you, just a couple of words. Food: passable, no more. Lady sitting next to me opened up a paper then plastic wrap, placed 2 smoked fish on a stack of napkins then proceeded to dismantle it with her fingers and eat it. It was smelly and disgusting. I commented to a flight attending that I found this impolite to inflict on other passengers - nothing was done - she didn't say a word to the passenger. I don't want to rule others but when I pay money, I don't feel that I should have no say. I might do it again but the cost difference would really have to make it worthwhile."
Pro: "Was the cheapest airline to my destination (Israel). Blanket was nicely comfy instead of the really thin ones I've had sometimes on other airlines."
Contra: "Never had a problem with any airline's in-flight entertainment system until Aeroflot. (1) Navigation not intuitive - couldn't tell when to use on-screen buttons vs physical buttons (2) Unresponsive navigation would have to press buttons multiple times (3) When rewinding, I could not stop it to get it to Play, resulting in a lot of wasted time trying to get back to where I was (4) No option of selecting subtitles. I'm a native English speaker but due to white noise of plane, would really help to have English subtitles. This was the main reason I needed to rewind so much - because I couldn't make out the dialog. These problems, plus poor food, would make me think twice about using Aeroflot again."
Pro: "Free meal choice when preodering. Pleasant staff."
Contra: "Small plane.No screens, neither individiual, nore common. Small seats even for the medium sized people like I am. Small departments for hand luggage. No alchochol with meal. Long delay when disembarking."
Contra: "The flight was delayed 15 minutes. Then we boarded the aircraft and spent two hours inside, just sweating. Someone came and said it would take another 15 minutes to check the aircraft again. We were sent back to the airport with no information and nobody knew what was happening. We finally boarded the flight 5 hours late, and we lost our connection to Hong Kong. Nobody cares to explain or give you a solution. When we arrived to Moscow they said that we had to spent the night at the airport because their hotel was full. We verified at the hotel and they offered us rooms if we wanted to pay for them. The airline employees offered no help and we spent at least 5 hours looking for a solution. We decided to enter Russia and found out that the airline had another hotel in which we spent the night after finding the answer ourselves, because nobody explained anything to us. We wouldn't recommend this airline to anyone. They had passengers sleeping in the floor of the airport with little kids because they didnt offer them a room. They simply dont care about their customers."
Pro: "The service, it improved dramatically on Aeroflot, during the last 4-5 years."
Contra: "The food needs improvement, and the plane seemed a bit old. Had two annoying Romanian neighbors behind who were very unhappy about the fact that their last-row chairs din't recline, so they made a scandal when I put mine back but I managed to handle it."
Contra: "The handling of Skyprioriuty boarding was one of the poorest I encountered (in SVO airport)"
Pro: "This crew was wonderful! They were friendly and smiled and made sure everyone was comfortable. They were also extremely helpful with baggage and the like."
Contra: "I think I cannot think even one thing that I like about Aeroflot. Staff behavior was very very rude and unprofessional - didn't know how to talk to customers. In flight food special meal Asian vegetarian was the worst food I had. Air hostess were very rude and unprofessional, brought me non veg meals instead despite of special requests. Both of my flights were delayed which made me miss my connections delaying my trip by 1 day and missing my other connections which made me incur a loss of more than $200. The remuneration I was given for meals was enough for just 2 chocolates a meal."

Also, despite the aircraft being newer than most Tarom planes, it was cramped, with very little leg room, very cheap trays and no storage space on the back of the seats in front. No warm beverages (no coffee, no tea!!). Will seek compensation for the delay."

Contra: "That I couldn't bring myself to test the sandwich for fear of poisoning. You should have seen how many people handed their sandwich back to the stewardess. What happens to those sandwiches? Do they attempt to hand the same ones back on later flights? I think they do. Anyway, take a close look at those sandwiches they give you before you bite into one."

They were kind to invite first families with children to pass to the bus but this meant sitting in a sauna @ 40+ Celsius until all passengers went through the gate. Driver was all red and close to fainting. Pity, I was looking forward seeing one of the big managers coming next to us to enjoy the Tarom experience...!"

The airplane seems to be 30 years behind time. Crew was unfriendly and smiling faces are not part of the uniform."

We had to use the safety manuals to fan ourselves. We eventually left late and got to Lagos one and half hours we were meant to get there. Lastly not all the luggage arrived. Two days into my arrival and I am yet to get all my luggage. It was truly a horrible experience which was echoed by fellow passengers."
Pro: "We got to the desk to check in and there was one person being served in front of us. He finished with him, turned and left the area through the dooor. No one came to help us for 15 minutes. Then they came out to answer the phone and said we were 10 minutes past the cut off and we could not fly."
Contra: "Staff just walked away while we were in line, the rudeness and mean attitude, they blamed us for being too late after ignoring us and made us late, they didn't offer an alternative flight until we asked. Overall, horrible customer service. Never been treated so rudely by people in the airlines industry in my entire 42 years of flying!"

Seats were okay but no recline and underseat storage was small. (Backpack wouldn't fit underseat and had to be stored in overhead.) Passengers crowding from back of plane upon arrival made it hard to deplane and felt rude."

Once we landed in Warsaw, we sat on the plane for around 20 minutes waiting for them to bring the bus to pick us up and remove our luggage from underneath. I had a connecting flight I would have missed if it wasn't delayed. They also had the door open while waiting and the heat and humidity was pretty stifling with everyone already standing up waiting to disembark."
Contra: "NYC to Warsaw, the flight was 4 hours late no voucher for food. some got it some not. i lost the flight from Warsaw to Bucharest they put me on flight from Warsaw to Vienna that flight was late as well i got to Vienna and i ran to get the flight to Bucharest. i was very tired"

Contra: "The ground staff and customer service staff made mistakes with our infant's name and twice her ticket got canceled. Instead of saying that they will just fix it they blamed us and were very rude to us when they had to fix their mistake. I almost had a heart attack when Anna Aleksandrovna Esina (agent at registration counter #131) informed me that my ticket has been cancelled and she does not see me on the passenger list. I was in shock when I heard that and ready to cry as I was so anxious to get back home. Then she added that it is not her job to look for my ticket and there is nothing she can do for me. She did not want to make any effort and do something to resolve the issue. With the help of another agent it was determined that I WAS on the passenger list and I finally (after some agonizing time) was given my two boarding passes. It is amazing how just one unprofessional agent can spoil your trip... Thankfully the rest of my journey went really well!"
