They march you out after already standing in the terminal, since there are no assigned seats (typical low cost). I payed for a assigned seat extra, but still had to wait in line, just the one for priority. Then once you go outside of the terminal, you wait again in the weather until they allow everybody to board at same time (not sure how the whole priority line works, since you only get priority to get out of the building). Seats where very hard and did not recline (something you are not worn about when you buy the ticket). The seats were also so flat your neck hurts if you want to sleep. After 3 hour flight the in the late evening it was not comfortable. No food or drinks, only for purchase . They were the same price as the staff in the terminal, so don't bother buying to take on board. Low cost airline, low cost experience is what you need to expect."

The ones next to me were smelly both due to ling time, no see with soap&water and also some wine was involved in their breath, I think. Pro: "It's a ultra low cost carrier so the key is to be prepared. Make sure you purchase the extras (i.e luggage) before you show up to the airport. Our flight was short and I can only recommend for flights less than two hrs. But it was a very pleasant flight and the staff was about as good as any mainline carrier. We departed on time and arrived early."

I wish somebody warned me of this policy as we almost missed an entire day in Santorini."

Contra: "I absolutely hated this trip. In order to check in i had to have my tickets on my phone. Even though I knew my confirmation number. We were told to go to a terminal to get our ticket printed out. I checked in early online so that was weird. We went to the terminal and couldn't figure out how to print it out. After about 20 minutes we got upset and left the terminal to get help. A guy told us he could print off our tickets 37€ to get a flight ticket printed off. He worked for Ryanair. He said if I pull it up off my phone I could get it with an email. Unfortunately I'm a tourist and don't have signal in that country and the wifi was conveniently not operational. I was to to try a local cafe to use wifi. I went to the cafe used their WiFi and then pulled my ticket online. I brought it to the guy who needed my ticket. I asked to check my luggage on. She said I couldn't because my luggage was broken because on my flight to Athens it came back to me broken. Frustrated I walked off to security in Athens. I went to go to my gate and looked at the ticket. The ticket didn't even have my gate on there. I searched on the board for my flight to come on in English but everything was moving too fast so it took 10 minutes to do. I finally found the gate I needed to go to and left. By this time 1hr and 30 minutes we're expended before I got to even security. I got to security and through my backpack containing my camera equipment onto the scanner taking my laptop out. They kicked the back back saying I had to take all my gear out of the back so they can scan it. ( I mean what's the point of a scanner anyways) they they told me to open up my lenses to see inside.... Like what?! I did that so he could look into my lenses. Then he asked me to open up my laptop so he could see inside the laptop.... Again... Seriously?? You have a scanner. Then they told to take all my hygiene products including my expensive calone I put in my bag that was intended for check luggage and throw it away. Because my luggage was broken and wasn't able to go on the plane I lost about $100 of hygiene products. Let me tell you I also work in Africa.... I can't get hygiene products anymore. We began boarding the plane. The ticket on my phone wasn't able to be scanned and see had to put the number in manually. Then we got to the plane and told us to leave my luggage at the bottom of the stairs to be put into the plane with the checked luggage. My broken luggage that wasn't accepted for check luggage was now checked luggage just without all the important items I needed -_- worst airline and airport ever. Never fly with them."

Contra: "We only received emailed in Greek while we were in the United States and didn’t receive any emailed while we were in Greece prior to our flight to Santorini from Athens. When we went to the airport we were told that we had pay 66 euros per person because we didn’t register online for checkin. We were told that if we didn’t we wouldn’t be let on our flight. This happened with many customers that were inline with us. Terrible flight, would not recommend it to anyone."

Contra: "If you don't pay to choose your seats, they intentionally split you up from your traveling companion and then pester you to pay in order to sit together. Literally, a significant part of the plane were not sitting next to their spouse/companion. And then the crew announced that people were not allowed to switch seat because "assignments were made based on weight and balance calculations"! Wait, what?! No one asked me or my wife our weights, size, or even weight of any carry-ons, so what calculation were they making?! I'll tell you. They calculated how much money they could squeeze and, dare I say, extort from their passengers!"

Contra: "Firstly, there were no sandwiches (hot or cold) available on a late afternoon flight, so the remaining food options were poor. Secondly, my £7 Gin and Tonic that I'd hardly touched slid right off the frankly useless trays and into my lap. The flight attendant literally threw me a few paper towels to help. I spent the remaining three hours of the flight soaking wet."

Contra: "I feel this airline tries to add additional fees for everything. Airline charges a rediculous amount per ticket if you don't print out your boarding pass to check-in. I flew with 8 family members and had to pay over $100 because I did not have a paper copy of my ticket. They do not accept online confirmations for non- EU customers and no kiosk to print one...how old school. You are unable to pay for extra baggage or overage fees at the desk where you check-in. You have to leave the line and pay elsewhere and then wait back online. The charge for overage was outrages even if it was over by 1 kg..it was over $12 per kg. By the time you pay for 3 kg over you virtually pay for another baggage fee. As soon as the plane is in the air...the carts are going around for you to by products from their catalog. Collecting as much money from the customer is the first priority....customer service is second. By the time all was said in done I ended up paying more for my flight then I could have with most other airlines. The one thing I learned was to never fly this airline again."

Contra: "They charged 3 times more on the actual ticket for CHECK-IN at the airport and PRINTING BOARDING PASSES. Sent us to the cashier two times separately to pay for checkin bags and for the boarding passes. When we did not understand the extra round trips to the cashier the agent yelled at us. If you must fly RyanAir -make sure you pay for every thing on line ahead of the tIme and unless you are a back packer do not think you are getting a bargain price."
Contra: "I did check in online but the web site did not send me the boarding pass to my email. I thought it is fine. But We I got airport the counter charge me more than $60/each for check in!!!. And they are very rude. Just say to us either do it or just leave. Very bad feeling"
Contra: "Worst service ever. I didn't see the email reminder that they sent to print the boarding pass. I also didn't prepay my bag because I wasn't sure if it was going to be 15 or 20 kilos. They charged me 160 euros just to print the two boarding passes and 1 20 kilo bag and the man at the counter told me that I should have printed them at home. Not only have I never ever had hat happen to me on any respectable airline but we took Vueling from Mykonos to Rome and they included the bag and they printed the boarding passes for free as all other customer friendly airlines. Never again!! Horrible customer service."

Contra: "The airline is dependent on tacking you with extra fees from extra baggage or denying you boarding so that you eventually have to pay more. If you depend on this type of service as an airline they should never be in the business period."

The customer service was terrible, we had to rush to our flight, and the baggage lady gave me back the wrong passport. What a joke. I will never fly this airline again."

Contra: "The entire check in process is a joke. They have no signs or employees standing there telling you where to go, so you wait in line with everyone else. Then you get to the ticket counter and they tell you you need to go to a counter behind in order to get boarding pass + pay for baggage claim. We wasted 45 minutes in a line that could have been avoided if they were more willing to help their customers upfront."

Contra: "Boarding had long with lines for check in and the policy of having a check in counter and then a second check in for carry on bags after the passport control and scanners was deceptive at best. I watched several frustrated passengers trying to cram legitimate small bags into the carry-on measuring cage. After failing they were asked for money - these bags were small and reasonable so be aware of the measurements before you fly."

Contra: "Be prepare for surprised$€£¥! Ryanair wil always find a way to get from you ~4x the cost of you ticket. They will have a charge for everything (check in at the airport=€45, select seats,etc) and you will be told from this at the check-in time. I though I was prepared to avoid all these surprises, but at the boarding time they told to most of the passengers they need to check at least one carry in item because there will be no space. They charge us €65 to check one carry on luggage, even though it complied with carry on dimensions and weight. If this surprise charge of €65 is compare to the €18 cost of the ticket (from ATH to JTR) you will note you will actually pay 4x of the ticket cost."

For a sample the staff told me that I had additional kilos and that 4 Euros was nothing and I had to pay $67.50.
