"My flight got cancelled several times, I booked my flight through Fly. us, that was throughly KAYAK engine, I regret my decision to do that, because fly. Us has horrible service no communication what do ever, I contacted them, called them several time but no response so far, I called airline they said they will refund to fly. Us if they request but after 1 week and half no response from them. Please only use direct airline sites during COVID times because flight cancellations is very common during COVID time, so that you guys can avoid trouble of middle man."

Pro: "Good food. Professional crew. and overall good experience for a 15.5 hour flight."
Contra: "Again, If you allow people to choose tickets online and they pick the front row, at least don't put them in the back row. That is the opposite of what they requested. After a.long flight and the limited recline, I am very sore in my back. Probably the most uncomfortable flight to date in my travels."

Contra: "Dubai airport is highly disappointing. The bathroom situation is atrocious! I am not exaggerating when I say I waited in line of 25 and 35 women two different times! The men’s situation isn’t ideal but is no where near the problem that is the women’s restrooms. The boarding process is mildly confusing - there is no public drinking fountains but if you buy water you are not allowed to take it to your gate. This info isn’t posted anywhere and makes no sense bc you purchased the water after you were checked through security. Also this rule truly only applies to women. A stewardess showed preferential treatment to someone who looked more native than us and then didn’t apologize. I understood the customer was upset so the flight attendant was trying to pacify the lady/couple but at least apologize for being rude. Dubai airport very much favors men and I would never travel without my husband. I would fly Emirates again but it won’t be my top choice and I won’t be going back to the Dubai airport anytime soon."

In other news, rushing us into the bus and then leaving us standing there for 30 minutes is not my idea of a good start to the journey."

Pro: "The cabin crew were excellent. All of them. They gave me great service. It was once of the best long haul flights I've had in economy. Fantastic. I was seated in seat 80H. Please see to it that the cabin crew who serviced this area are well rewarded. If every flight had crew like these guys and gals then flying would be a lot more enjoyable."

Contra: "I was scheduled to leave Accra yesterday at 5:50pm. The flight was unexpectedly cancelled and the stranded passengers like myself were corralled to a nearby hotel. The flight has since been rescheduled several times today and settled to finally leave at midnight this evening. I missed my connection but it has also been rescheduled, but I doubt I will make it. Emirates has left me stranded. It's ridiculous how they failed to keep us accurately informed."

Pro: "There was pretty much nothing I didn't like. Everything was great, including the Business Class Lounge in Dubai. The service was great, the staff was very pleasant, the comfort of the seats was unmatched."
Contra: "I remarked that the entertainment was OK, only because I have seen most of the movies and tv shows that were available, the response time for the buttons between the remote and the view screen was sometimes slow, and of course, the WiFi, I'm sure, will be improved with time."

Contra: "The online site didn't let us allocate seats even before 48 hours of schedule flight timings. Complimentary seats were allocated badly. Even when contacted with airline staff they didn't pass on the right information. We found on airport counter that exists seats opened before opening the airline counter at the airports whereas we are told that it would be allocated at the airport counter only. Misleaded at Dubai by airline staff that airport counter would open 3 hours before flight departure whereas we found and told at counter it was opened 48 hours before flight departure. Faced lots of inconvenience in allocation of complimentary seats. I speak with other co-passengers in the flight and found single complimentary aisle seats were allocared to passengers. They same opportunity was not extend to others having more than 1 seats in the flight."

Contra: "Crew woke us up to ask us if we wanted food. I've only ever been woken up before for safety reasons (seat belts, etc) We were not impressed with the arrival in Dubai. We came in a large plane and had to deplane very far from the terminal onto buses, down a long set of stairs. They did not send enough buses so we waited on the hot outside stairs for about 15 minutes. It took us a full 45+ minutes from landing to get to the actual terminal. We were grateful we had a long layover or we would not have made our connecting flight!"

Contra: "Wifi kicked me off after not even using my desired amount yet."

Contra: "The check in experience is the worst I have ever had. One bag was a little heavy so I had to pay the fee which I was happy to do. But, they took me out of line and up to the office, I then had to wait 30 minutes to be helped only to then learn that the credit card machine was not working. So, I had to get cash from an ATM, which charged a fee, and there was no change available so I ended up paying more than the fee actually was. Then, I had to go back through security and stand in line again just to get my boarding pass. I was at the airport 3 hours early and this disorganized system almost caused me to miss my flight. It was just unprofessional all around."

Pro: "I have been spoiled with the large planes, so the small ones to me are cramped, but thats with all carriers not just Lufthansa. I generally prefer to fly Lufthansa when heading to Europe."

Then when I called in to the Romania Service Center to rebook, the phones went down in the middle of the call. That is understandable given the extreme volume of calls they were handling. What is unacceptable, is that they made no attempt to contact me once the phones were up. I ended up calling the U.S. service center at 1am local time to rebook...only 3 hours before I needed to leave for the airport. It took an hour - which I paid for at direct dial international rates - to find a flight. I'm very grateful for the U.S. service rep who was kind and helpful. She was the one bright spot in this poorly handled situation."

Flight Attendants can switch from German to English without hesitation and were very professional. Look forward to flying with them again."

Contra: "I felt like the airlines deliberately cheated me. I purchased a flight that was listed as "economy" , which means I am authorized one suitcase. When I got to checkout they said I had pay for the suitcase. Turns out my flight was economy 'light' flight and I had to go the Austrian airlines desk and pay euro 40 for my suitcase. Wish that would have been clear when I purchased the ticket. Also there is no clear info on what the cost is for your bag at what point in the check-in process."

In the U.S., we are customers that paid for a service and are asking for details on that service. In Europe, we are annoyances that depend on staff at the boarding gates to get on the plane, so power tripping and general disdain to customers beings confused are part of the game. I will try never to fly Austrian Airlines again. Absolutely unacceptable behavior toward families, mothers with children, senior citizens. I can almost see the smirks and annoyed and superior attitude of staff at the boarding gate when they had to deal with more passengers asking why boarding hasn't started half an hour ago when we were announced it would. No answers, just show me the passport and boarding pass, ok, please go back, we'll let you know, then ignore questions."

What I really didn't like is that I called Kayak to include my Global Entry number on my boarding pass. They said it would be there and when I printed it, it wasn't. So coming back into the states and thru customs took waaay longer than it should have with those chaotic and ridiculously long lines. I didn't bring my Global Pass card with me and will from now on!"

Contra: "When our plane arrived late, many on board had missed connections. We received no help/guidance at gate, other than to be told to go up one floor. One floor up we had to go thru security to reach customer service. 100 people lined up for customer service from 3 Austrian airline reps. After 2 hours of standing, there were still 27 people ahead of me. The woman behind me gave me the local phone number for Austrian airlines and I was able to get on a flight to US leaving in 30 minutes. I managed to make it, and would not have had I waited another hour in line. Why no surge of staff to help? All 3 help numbers on my Lufthansa e-mail receipt could not help. Horrible experience."

Contra: "The first announcement they made to all of us in the economy section was thay they did not have any headphones for anyone but business class. I was told when I booked the seat that the headphones would be complementary. So I did not bother to bring any assuming they were going to keep their word; I figure I'd make it work and watch a movie without sound. If that isn't bad enough midway through my nine hour flight my monitor went out and would not turn back on."

Contra: "Flight delayed ... Myself and three other colleagues didn't have our luggage show up from KLM flight from Amsterdam to Brussels...even though all of our luggage was labeled "priority". Once in customer service line, we looked and saw that many of the other passengers on our flight also never received their luggage. We estimated that 20-25% of the people on that flight did not receive their luggage as they were in line with us for the same problem. Hard to understand how so many pieces of luggage could have been overlooked and not loaded on our flight. Obviously there is a huge gap in their quality system to ensure mistakes like this are prevented."

More monitoring of this would help because I saw other people bothered by this."

No priority boarding, they proceeded with boarding the first half of passengers all at once so rather confusing."

Contra: "Flight to Stockholm was cancelled. SAS Provided no informaton on the steps for re-scheduling my flight. I had to call the SAS headquarters in Stockholm before receiving any guidance on what to do next. All service attendants ditched the ticketing desk leaving one poor employee to answer questions for over 70 disgruntled passengers. Very very very poor communication. Luckily I was finally able to book a flight using another airline after waiting on hold for 20 minutes with the regional customer service provider."

Pro: "Flight left on time, the plane was clean and comfortable, but the staff could do with some additional training."
Contra: "They did not serve coffee in our table, the cabin crew were abrupt, almost rude, and in my opinion they can do better."

It appears that SAS's pricing is gaming the system when searching for flights or that Kayak is not being up-front about the type of fare they are advertising."

Not stand and fight to get food because your airline gives no snacks or drinks!! It's like entering prison for 2hrs"

Contra: "No complimentary peanuts or cookies! Paying for soda or juice. Very tight legroom. Window wouldn't close."

Contra: "Got delayed 13-hours in an airport with no SAS staff present to communicate anything to all of the passengers. We were not accommodated with hotel vouchers or provided with alternative travel options to our final destinations and missed flights. SAS did not cancel the flight after the first 4-hours of delay which is illegal by EU Standards. None of us were able to leave the airport as we were not told any information about potential flight departure times and it would have been $2000 to re-book with a different airline. No answers were given by SAS over the phone and their staff seemed unaware of any problems."

Pro: "I mean, it was how a flight should be, painless."

Contra: "This is our third delay with this airline on this trip and all they will do is send you to their service center which in Copenhagen is located so far from the gates it's a joke. Once again they are doing their best to discourage any interaction with their customers."

Pro: "I was offered pizza and promised to get my money back as I would¨t reach my destination anyway. Still waiting for my enquiry about money,"
Contra: "The plane is very old and I¨ve been expecting this to happen. I wish they could set in a modern plane on this distance as the train also don¨t offer a proper connection."

Contra: "70euro baggage fee at counter check in while flying on SAS. The same fee is 13 Euro if is bag selected at the time of ticket booking. kayak never gave me the option."

We do not know if she is training , being rediculously conscientious, being too social or a power/control thing. We had plenty of time, I feel sorry for people who had tight connections. LOTS of people switched lines but we didn't know it would continue to be rediculous. There are stairs to climb from the gate which will be a problem for people with any physical issues ( bad knees). The plane took off late and this time we were nervous with a tight connection in Stockholm Location of Gate display is slower than most airports and we were told It changes at the last minute. We will avoid the Oslo airport in the future."

Pro: "Easy flight, nice crew members, no issues had here"
Contra: "My luggage didn't show up for five days of a 7 day trip from a direct flight! SAS was completely useless by phone, email, and Facebook.... They set up a phone line that nobody monitors and had my luggage in-country for days before even sending someone to deliver it"

Pro: "Wide seats with excellent leg room in exit row- a bottle of water waiting at or seats-- we love the two seat configuration --attendants ready to serve any need with a smile."
Contra: "Bought our tickets from Kayak and as a result had a very difficult time upgrading seats."

Contra: "8 years ago on similar flight from Lax to got, we had to retrieve checked bags in Sto, and then go through security. It was not clear at all on this trip if it was the same. SK agent at lax seemed unsure, Arlanda customer service agents at baggage in Arlanda also seemed unsure. We then learned from another airport worker at baggage they would go all the way through. It is very important to know since turn around time is very short, and I almost missed flight 8 years ago, and bags did miss it last time. Tks"

Pro: "It was weird boarding last. We understand different airlines have different policies but we believe letting the elderly and families with little children should always have first priority... We as a family and with an elderly who is not 100% well have big challenges... It is always nice for other airlines to get us in earlier so the elderly and the little children can settle. This airline's policy is a shift for us. If not for the good price, we'd choose another... But it was just ok just a longer wait... Children and the elderly should always have the best benefit... Not the busiiness people.. Crazy policy!"
Contra: "Service was mediocre. Staff was nice but not very caring like other airlines and most were older women who are burnt out... Its almost like they don't want to be there. Food was excellent but there was a charge for red wine. This is Europe. Thought the US was bad... Economy class comfort is not that comfortable as always... o well! Your staff English especially the women announcers were terrible. We could not understand hardly anything. The pilots were a lot better! Need to take English classes.. Sorry but have to be honest..."

Contra: "My suitcase was never put on my flight from LAX - ARN, despite checking in 24 hours early and arriving at baggage drop 2.5 hours before my flight. I still have not received my suitcase in Helsinki, and they can't seem to locate it. I am on vacation in Finland and have no clothes, medicine, or toiletries and everyone at SAS and baggage claim have been very unhelpful."

Contra: "We were delayed before boarding, then delayed again upon landing. Hence, we missed our connection and had to fly to Copenhagen and not arrive in Helsinki until after midnight."

Pro: "Offers nothing over the worst airline in US. Small space, uncomfortable seats. No head rest. No entertainment , no seat charger. One bathroom for entire full flight. I wrote these here to leave room on other section to write what I really did not like. Having seen European airline, I am going to embrace our own airlines in good old USA with warmth"
Contra: "They wanted to charge us for two small carry one weighing 12.5 kilos each since we had not maked on purchase time that we had luggage to check in. Some $ 75 each. I do not remember online purchase page having any section to make down the luggage at the time of purchase. On the flight we were in hot plane for 1/2 hour with no air conditioning dehydrated only to find out that our dring water allowance was 2/3 of a small plastics cup. Yes, believe it. It is the truth. They will refil hot tea once or twice but no cold water. One much purchase if they like which was not so cheap. Attendant said they have limited cold drinking water allowance on board for reason. I am thinking , I guess , it would have made the plane weighed too much. Stingy airline like the others in Europe such as AirBerlin. I get the feeling that Americans are at this disadvantage and not swedes since we saw many other passengers carying carryon the same size as us."

Contra: "Lost 4 out of 10 pieces of luggage from our group, and damaged one piece. Got 2 pieces of luggage 5 days later, one piece 7 days later, and the last one 9 days later."

Contra: "That I wasnt on the flight! Air traffic in Rome delayed us from leaving on time. Airline wouldnt comment until 15 minutes before landing if connecting flights would be held. They werent...we were 45 minutes late. Though my son and I were put up in a hotel it didnt compensate for our missed engagement in Chicago.1 full day gone!"

Pro: "The plane was brand new with comfortable seats that had adjustable headrests. This made sleeping very easy. I was impressed with the food and the flight attendants were great."
Contra: "The seating area was cramped making it difficult to move around, do work or view the screen.I know this is typical of coach class but I still don't like it. The selection of movies was adequate but smaller than I'm used to. There wasn't much in the way of music to choose from. Only one choice for jazz and classical."

Pro: "Staff was very helpful and flight was comfortable."
Contra: "The inflight beverages are totally over priced. $3.00 for a coke and $9.00 for wine. the snacks were overpriced. Two hour flight but did not offer the use of the entertainment console."

Contra: "Small screen tv's that were mounted on the bathroom walls at the middle of the plane remained on during sleeping time and were too bright. Difficult to sleep during this as the scenery pictures continually changed."

Pro: "A nice flight attendant got me a vegetarian meal even though I didn't request it ahead of time. I enjoyed the movies. Every flight was on time."
Contra: "The food on the outgoing flight was too greasy. Even though I usually don't eat meat. I ate some of the chicken dinner and didn't like it. My husband did."

Pro: "The cost of the flight was low and affordable - that's about it."
Contra: "Not much legroom for an 11-hour flight. SAS provides 2 meals during the flight, which is similar to other airlines, however, drinks are only provided with the meals. If you want a drink at a different time, you have to pay for it. I find that quite unacceptable for a flight of this duration. The checkin agents (not employees of SAS) took quite a while to help me - almost half an hour, which prevented me from spending some time outside the airport."
