Lufthansa made no effort to pass along their connecting flight information, they just drop all responsibility and say it is a United flight so offer no help. First and last time with Lufthansa."

Contra: "Very cold, I understand that is possible being in airplane a lot, my tv screen was not working and I asked a flight attended for help and was told, “we’ll fix it later.” 8 hours later the plane landed and did not get a chance to use the tv screen features. Should not have to ask again when i have been assured the problem will be handled by an attendant."
Pro: "The Germans are known for their efficiency and Lufthansa followed through with that. From the check-in process to cabin service, all was top notch. As I was sitting near the front of economy, any "extra" economy plus meals were handed out as to avoid waste. I was the recipient of a delicious Caprese salad. A nice treat."
Contra: "It made us miss our fly due to Lufthansa use stroller stairs for passengers to get off the airplane instead as I had my 89 years old mother who needed wheel chair assistance which did not have during that time. And, with my heavy carry on luggage, plus my under seat luggage that I had to hold my old mother that I had to walk to the bus With pretty good distance that took us to another 10 minutes terminal drive. By the time we got to the connection gate to Berlin, the plane already rolled out to the runway. Now, they have to send us to the next fly, which was at another different gate. Overall, this trip made me very disappointed and horrible."
Contra: "Manchester Airport couldn’t organise a bus to take us off the plane. Stuck on a landed plane for ever."
Contra: "The food was not good at all. The economy seats are uncomfortable and you should be able to walk around the plane, especially on a 9 plus hour flight."
Pro: "I fly transatlantic often, and I've flown Lufthansa several times before. During the flight I was thinking this was literally the best transatlantic flight I've ever had, and if I can make it work with my schedule and cost constraints I'm going to fly Lufthansa every time. I never really had a 'favorite' airline before, but I do now--Lufthansa. I should have captured the economy classes crews names, but it was 414 from Munich to Dulles on 25 May--they were truly outstanding."

Contra: "I was enquiringly about the transfer of my luggage from the Hurghada flight with sunexpress with one of the Lufthansa correspondents at the central fest and the guy was absolutely clueless. Needless to say- our luggage wasn’t in Manchester when we arrived. Had to travel back to Manchester to collect it 8 hours later as it was left in Munich. Not happy one bit"
Pro: "The flight from Chicago was only about 2/3 full and there was no one in the seat next to me so I had plenty of room to stretch out and get comfortable. The flight was super smooth...hardly any turbulence and crew worked hard to keep passengers refreshed."
Contra: "I sat next to the biggest jerk on the plane (something out of Lufthansa control so I don't hold that against them). Also the seats were not the most comfortable...even for an economy seat was pretty basic. Also the entertainment system was temperamental and some of the features (flight tracker) didn't work at all."

I am not fluent in German so that may have added to my uncertainty. And my suitcase, which she said she was making sure would get to me in Marseilles, did not come for 24 hours."

Can write an essay on my whole journey."
Contra: "My flight was cancelled due to the pilots' strike. I only learned about this when I attempted online check in. Lufthansa never attempted to notify me. Then when I called in to the Romania Service Center to rebook, the phones went down in the middle of the call. That is understandable given the extreme volume of calls they were handling. What is unacceptable, is that they made no attempt to contact me once the phones were up. I ended up calling the U.S. service center at 1am local time to rebook...only 3 hours before I needed to leave for the airport. It took an hour - which I paid for at direct dial international rates - to find a flight. I'm very grateful for the U.S. service rep who was kind and helpful. She was the one bright spot in this poorly handled situation."

Contra: "The seats are very uncomfortable on Austrian air. The only way I would fly them again would be if I had extra money for the exit rows with more leg room. Food isn't great, but no airline food is really great. Boarding was significantly delayed from what it said on the boarding pass, with no updates. But we arrived on time. Getting luggage after flight at Dulles took a really long time, but I think that is more of an airport issue as getting my luggage from another Austrian airlines flight to another airport was a breeze."

When I got to checkout they said I had pay for the suitcase. Turns out my flight was economy 'light' flight and I had to go the Austrian airlines desk and pay euro 40 for my suitcase. Wish that would have been clear when I purchased the ticket. Also there is no clear info on what the cost is for your bag at what point in the check-in process."

Contra: "My parents were traveling, they dont speak english and I verified with Austrian airlines that they would be assisted at the gates and that they had the correct visas for each airport they had a layover in. I was assured there would be no problems. Upon boarding they were not able to get on their flight. I have never had so many communication issues and frustrations in the middle of the night with an airline. disappointed."
Pro: "It was a total nightmare all Austrian flights they put us on were canceled !!! We did not leave Vienna for another 7 h a total nightmare all planes had technically difuculties !! Austrian airlines had total chaos !!!"

Contra: "Croatian Airline checkin service was good but was made to check in carry on. However, baggage clerk was extremely hostile and wanted to charge us for two bags for which we had prepaid. Would not accept our evidence of payment for the two bags. Finally accepted her mistake but Forced to pay 90€ For the extra bag. Ripoff!! Other airlines (Vueling, Air Europa) checked same bag as courtely, did not charge. First and last time flying Austrian."

So I try to call Austrian, but they work just from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm. I start to search all the info the site of Austrian, and find one phone number that seats be working 24 hours. So finally I got a person on the phone who was able to help me. ..."
Pro: "Make sure your carry on luggage is less then 8 kg. Or you would have to check it at your own cost. The food is OK but the portion is very small. If you want a window or isle seat, it would’ve cost you 30 euro to reserve it. The crew is very nice. I guess because the air fare is very cheap, they need to do everything to make the extra cash."

Worst is the lack of communication during the 45 minute wait, for which I have little understanding seeing many older people clearly suffering."

This was a terrible trip & we will never use Austrian air again. I will tell all my family & friends of my terrible experience."

Contra: "The time of the layover between a Ryanair flight that requires you to check baggage and then pick up from the carousel, go through customs, and an Aer Lingus flight that you then had to check into at the Aer Lingus desk (online check in was not an option) and go BACK through security IS NOT HUMANLY POSSIBLE. This was a huge waste of time and money and I do not recommend using two airlines, especially not if it involves RyanAir and the Manchester airport. I have to cancel reservations that I will not be able to make the rest of the time I’m at this destination. Moving flights cost me €60 and missing my reservation at an escape room is an emotional cost that cannot be compensated. Very unsatisfied."

Seemed a bit disorganised. Fair enough have the rule about potentially putting them in the hold but make sure they are pre tagged. Flight delayed as a result."
Contra: "We were forced to get on the aircraft when it arrived late, with another 737 taxiing next to it( I know illegal). Then forced to sit on the plane for nearly 3 hours on the ground in heat. Staff were rude and awful. Everything was stupidly expensive, even water!!! When we eventually got to Manchester we had to wait in the plane again for 45minutes for the bus to arrive to take us to the airport. Only one person on passport control. Where our bags were all in a pile on the floor because of some malfunction. Ryanair flights are hell!!"
Pro: "3 hour delay due to an Italian air traffic control strike. Not the crews fault but they handled it well, especially the captain who spoke to everyone face to face"

Despite having photographic evidence!! No tap water available - given ice and boiling water I am done flying with Ryanair"
Pro: "The crew didn’t allow a very visibly drunk passenger on board which was good. We were concerned about him coming on the plane so were very pleased they didn’t allow him to board."
Contra: "The plane was delayed and when we did board it was very clear that absolutely no cleaning had taken place. Appreciate the effort not to be any later than we were but not nice to get to a seat with crisps and malteasers everywhere."

Contra: "At FRA Airport ryanair sits about a 20min drive from the terminal. Adds 20min to boarding and landing procedures. But this is compensated with FRA being a super efficient airport at the baggage carousel and border control"
Contra: "Dirty seats, tables and floor. Both times we checked in and because we didn't pay for early check in we all got separated despite there being room to all sit together or at least in pairs. Had to pay to move to sit together. It costs £80 to bring a suitcase for the hold, however if you don't pay for priority boarding your handluggage gets placed in the hold anyway despite there being more than enough space in overhead lockers. If I had known how much it would be to pay for the 'extras' which area really basic requirements, I would not have booked with Ryanair. Next time I'll be going with another company who actually provide a basic service"

Paid for food in pounds but given change in Euros - disgraceful - don't offer to take payment in a currency you can't provide change for. Overall a poor experience, will not be flying with RyanAir again."

Contra: "Being made to queue for almost an hour, with staff seeing and allowing people to push in front because they had a child (over 5y.o) with no regard for people who queued. Staff then came from the back to the front of the queue telling people they had to put their carry-on luggage in the hold. When questioned why, the response was "you either do it or we won't let you fly. You don't like it? What do you want? It's Ryanair, deal with it." Very disappointing, flown many times with Ryanair but never been treated like that. Also disgusted with the new policy of having to pay to sit next to your partner of the same booking. Disgusting."

Contra: "Kept staying for 1 hour unnecessarily. Plane late. Flight late, arriving 1 hour late. run out of many refreshment options, plane dirty."
