At the Istanbul layover they forced me to pay $160 or else my items wouldn't make it on board. With a business class I still had to pay extra for a carry-on they said it was okay but then they changed their tune. I get it's in a different location but the same company is telling me two different things that ended up costing $160. On top of that, when I finally arrived at IAH they didn't have my skateboards... so I paid $160 for them to lose my boards."

Pro: "We were hesitant about flying Turkish Airlines. In the past they have had bad reviews and there had just been the terrorist bombing at the airport. But the flights to Croatia were cheap so we bought. The food was great and plentiful. Staff were very polite. We had a night flight to Istanbul and both my wife an I were able to stretch out in empty middle rows seats and sleep. I would definitely fly them again. They are very underrated."

Contra: "Service was fine until our water bottle (which we thought was empty) leaked a bit in the overhead compartment and the female crewmember was incredibly rude and gave the most disgusted look when we claimed the bag that had a small leak of water (about a tablespoon). She also whispered something in Turkish to fellow crewmembers and they all laughed. It was embarrassing and unnecessary. We also were left in the bus on the tarmac for 10 minutes before we could board without any notification of what was going on."

Contra: "You, Kayak, sold me economy tickets. When I checked in online I saw it for the first time that our tickets were Economy Light. So even though we are Frequent Flyers, we payed $220 for three checkin luggages. I intend to dispute this case."

Contra: "I din't like the fact that Lufhtansa company uses double standards for the countries where they have their flights. From USA, San Jose, Ca, to Frankfurt, Germany everything was good (flight on 08/31/2018 - 09/01/2018). They have been very profesional, beganing wih the boarding time untill the arrival in Frankfurt. The flight to Romania was a different story. They haven't been very professional at all. The flight had a delay and nobody said a word. It was just a clerck there who didn't tell to the Lufthansa passengers for a while anything about our delay. So, finally, he said after 15-20 minutes that our fligt will be later, 20 minutes, than the scheduled time on our tickets. They seemed do not care too much about the Romanian passengers."

Both luggages are missing. -made the complainment, now we are waiting to show up in Romania and to be delivered at home. -went to pick up the rental car, because of the plane delay, they gave our car away. -after trying several companies, we found a car, 3 times more expensive, but we have a car....yeeyy"

But it took more than 20 minutes while mid way waiting for clearance to leave for the plane. The service bus did not turn on the AC while we waited even though we complained. We were suffocating. There was no entertainment on the plane."

Only thing to watch in English were highlights. I had to turn to Children's entertainment. Plus, my screen froze at one point after being hard to function. The flight overall was very uncomfortable."

I just filed a claim and got rude service saying I should have filed the claim at the airport baggage area but there was not anybody there to do the claim then he agent upstairs said they just spoke to them and they are there and I should have done it there. This was so rude and there is no way to get back into customs area. If we paid 200 for bags I expect them to arrive on time. I’m asking for a refund of the baggage fees."

The ticket agent, the gate agent and the cabin crew all did nothing to make up for the fact that their system screwed up and stuck me in a cramped coach seat in the back of the plane for 11 hours-- TWICE! Beyond that, KLM must have one of the oldest fleets in the sky. Both ways LAX->AMS->LAX, I was on a 30-35 year old 747 with no wifi, no power and a ten-year-old entertainment system. Never again."

Contra: "We arrived at Berlin-Tegel two hours before our flight, as is generally recommended for air travel... to find that there was no one working to check us in to our flight, and no option for automated boarding passes. We had to wait for a half an hour before a desk attendant for SAS showed up to begin checking people in specifically for our flight. We were told by floor staff that desk staff usually don't even arrive until two hours before the flight they are supposed to check in. Then when they arrived we were told we had been waiting in the wrong line (priority) and had to get at the back of the regular line. There were no signs, so we had no way of knowing this. Then someone else told us one line was for if you already had your boarding pass, the other was for if you didn't: luckily we had chosen the right one, but a bunch of other people had to move again. One passenger mentioned to staff that it would really help if there were signs (there were monitors, but they were blank) but she was ignored. The line was massive and there was only one desk agent, so it took a long time. Anyway by the time we finally got through security we only had 20 minutes before boarding. I don't even know how everyone else behind us made it onto the flight, or if they did. At our gate there were literally ten seats in the waiting area. So of course everyone waiting for our flight was clustered around, standing awkwardly, and couldn't help blocking all the walkways. Then when we thought we were finally boarding the plane we just got onto a shuttle bus to go all the way across the airport to where our plane was waiting. Overall, pretty ridiculous. I have not flown out of Tegel before so I'm not sure how much of this fiasco was the airline's fault and how much was due to the airport itself. But we were very frustrated by the time we finally took off, and will probably avoid both (Tegel and SAS) in the future if at all possible."

Contra: "Left till last to board flight. Case taken from me. Asked continually when I wld be taken as I am 83 and recovering from major operation. Told 45 minutes before flight but was taken 10 minutes ahead. Rush has left me very upset."

Contra: "Norwegian gives you nothing on international flights. We got no meal, no blanket, no pillow, and no leg room. The flight attendants never came by to give out drinks, or even to take trash. We could not even get a glass of water. They were not concerned at all with whether we had a pleasant flight."

Contra: "I thought we had paid for two checked bags in advance but was told we did not and so had to pay for them at the airport. I was very focused on making sure I had two checked bags paid for online when purchasing the tickets. I don't know if it's some glitch in your website or that it was just confusingly worded/phrased, but I did think I had bought the higher level package that allowed for two checked bags."

Contra: "Didn't like the economy class seats paying for business.A real rip off."

Pro: "The flight was fine. No issues except it was late. Not a big deal."
Contra: "My bag was soaked and my clothes inside - top layer and some second layer items were wet. Some colors bled into other garments and they are ruined. Really not happy my bag was left out in the rain in Germany."

Contra: "We had only a 45 minute window to connect our flight from Oslo to Trondheim and that wasn't nearly enough time to get off, get our bags, which one got lost so we had to deal with that, re check our bags, go through security again and walk 10 minutes to the next hanger. We ended up missing our connecting flight. It was an awful experience especially being in a foreign country."

Contra: "Taking a bus from the airplane to Frankfurt Airport is less than ideal, but it worked fine."

Pro: "From Toronto to Warsaw we flew with Air Belgium even though we paid a ticket for Polish Airlines and everything was horrible. We waited an hour without any explanation before boarding and another hour and half after boarding. The seats were very uncomfortable and there was no leg room. Flight from Warsaw to Belgrade was a lot better, however 2 out of my 3 luggages were lost. Crew on both flights were lovely."

Flight attendant was aware of time issues and were going to help me get off plane quick. They didn’t.. Also, why is the 787 so hot? Nice plane but needs air vents. Both times now it was sooo warm in the cabin."

Contra: "Airplane didn't provide flight specifics. (Speed, altitude, outside temperature). Just basic info. Seats in this particular plane are really narrow. Everytime someone passing hit my shoulder. This didn't happen in other planes."

Contra: "They kept changing departure time from Warsaw to Lviv , and totally we were stocked at airport for 4 hours. Lot didn't provide any drink or food, and also they didn't give us any information about our flight, they just ignored us. We were very frustrated, our kids were hungry and thirsty but nobody from LOT company didn't care about it. They even didn't say "sorry " . I will not recommend this airline to my friends or to somebody else, just be careful with this airline."

Contra: "Boarding at WAW was a joke - very disorganized and cramped gate area. Simple remedy is to give passengers guidance on where to line up for their assigned zone prior to boarding. No individual air ventilation - got hot and uncomfortable at times. Cramped economy seats - and if passenger in front of you fully reclines - your TV screen is almost in your lap. Hot meal included very rubbery chicken - obviously either overcooked or nuked too much. Attendants seemed indifferent or annoyed if you asked for individual attention outside of their normal rounds of serving drinks/etc (all I wanted was a Coke). I was essentially told to go to the back of the cabin and get my own drink... Upon arrival - de-planing took an eternity. We had a large group of teen band members traveling - who had scattered their instruments in overheads all around the plane. So anyone that was behind them had to wait until they figured out where all their stuff was stowed. OK - not necessarily LOT's fault - but again - a little thought and some hand's on guidance by the crew would have made it easier for the other passengers to get off the plane quicker after a 9 1/2 hour flight..."

Pro: "My flight was pretty comfortable. I had heard so many negative things about LOT Airlines, but I loved the cabin crew who were extremely courteous, and the food served was pretty good (dinner and breakfast since it was an overnight flight). The entertainment was pretty good as well; they even had some Oscar nominations like Dunkirk and Shape of Water available to watch. Overall, I was very pleased with my flight experience."
Contra: "The only thing that I was not a fan of, but which didn't bother me that much/didn't affect me that much, was that we departed from JFK in NYC *an hour late* because we boarded so late. For some people, this caused an issue with their connection in Warsaw, but for me, I luckily had a four hour layover. Still, an hour is pretty bad in terms of departure."

Pro: "Flying with pet and airline could not have been more helpful. The food (dinner) was much better than expected. Wish I had asked for more. The pork, the vegetables salad and dessert had flavor. Flight attendant helped me with back off the plane even."

Contra: "LOT REQUIRES RECEIPTS FOR ALL LOST ITEMS WHEN THEY LOSE YOUR LUGGAGE. There is nobody to talk to in order to appeal. They will only deal with you by email. If they lose your luggage, you lise... BIG TIME!!!"

Contra: "They loaded us on the bus, then parked us in front of the plane for what seemed like 10 minutes. May have been more/less, but standing there in that stuffy bus made it feel worse than it was. Departure flight was delayed, so my 50 minute layover may have contributed to my bag not being transferred, and lost."
