They did not send enough buses so we waited on the hot outside stairs for about 15 minutes. It took us a full 45+ minutes from landing to get to the actual terminal. We were grateful we had a long layover or we would not have made our connecting flight!"

Contra: "I had a terrible experience on my flight from BLR to LAX on 12/30/2016. My flight from BLR was delayed for 3 hours because of fog. I had a connection flight from Dubai at 3:15 pm the same day and I was going to miss it. I had a flight from LAX to SFO(I had booked this separately via a domestic airlines) on the 31st at 10 am. The ground staff at BLR told me that they would put me on the 8:30 am flight to LAX on 31st. That would mean more than a 12 hour wait at Dubai airport and they informed me that accommodation would be provided. Based on this I rebooked my LAX to SFO(I paid extra for this) for the next day. On reaching Dubai I was told that I will be put on the 3:30 pm flight on 31st instead of the 8:30 am flight. That would mean a 20 hour wait at the airport. I was also given a SINGLE food voucher and told that no hotel accommodation would be provided. I was also going to miss the LAX to SFO flight which I had rebooked. I requested the ground staff to try and put me on a direct flight to SFO instead. After begging them for a while they put me on a stand by status on the 7:30 am flight the next day. I spent 12 hours in the airport. That flight was further delayed by 3 hours. When my husband contacted the customer service on 31st morning, they told him that accommodation would be provided and sent me an email confirming that. This was in the morning after I had spent 12 hours in the airport. If accommodation was available why was I told by the ground staff that all rooms were full? I also saw them hand out hotel vouchers to other passengers with shorter wait times than mine. Was it based on their nationality(I sincerely hope not but the reviews I am reading of Emirates online suggest otherwise). Fog and other weather conditions are completely understandable but the discriminatory behaviour of the ground staff in Dubai was really disappointing. This new year weekend was my honeymoon and it was completely ruined because of this trip."

However flight design is little awkward that it squeezed me, wife and our baby in bassinet seat. - We had opted for Asian veg food and was very tasty and was served hot all the time. - Many restrooms - Travel accessories - Great entertainment options."

Contra: "Seat selection is very constrained 48 hours before journey, even for passengers booked together on same ticket. Would strongly recommend that automatic default seating selection for passengers booked on the same ticket should be for all of them to be seated together, right from the time the ticket is paid for rather than having to individually select where each passenger sits."

Contra: "1. I joined at Bangalore. The staff worked strictly according to the rules. While this is good it lends itself to passenger discomfort at times. Example: I had only 1 suitcase of 45 pounds, and I had a hand baggage of 13.7 kgs, because I was carrying all my precious crystalware back to Houston. The attendant kept insisting I lighten the hand baggage to les than 7 kgs. Finally he even suggested I send the hand baggage as checked luggage. He must be insane! I had a few thousand dollars worth of crystal in that hand bag and there was no way I'd send as checked luggage. Finally, I lightened the load to 10 kgs and called his manager and I was allowed to carry the hand luggage. 2. On landing at Dubai, everything unraveled. The airport was full of thousands of stranded passengers because 18 hours ago a plane had crash-landed at the tarmac causing flight cancellations. Obviously Emirates was poorly prepared for handling this this emergency. Many of the passengers, including myself, ended up standing at the customer service counters (there were about 10 customer service stations all over the airport), and every customer station had about 500 irate passengers and 3 or 4 agents handling them. Not only that, the customers were standing in stuffy atmosphere, no fod no water for hours, many mothers were desperate with children. Emirates had no idea how to handle this situation. I caught hold of a senior police official and told him that the least he could do was to give the customers some bottled water to keep them hydrated. Within minutes, in typical Arab hospitality - many cases of bottled water showed up, followed by cupcakes and then Mango Frootis. This helped to calm the passengers down. Then there was the chaos of everyone crowding the service desk. No lines, no semblance of order. After discussion with the policeman, we installed barriers for that passengers would stand single file. One thing that was very wrong and out of our control was there were only 3, sometimes 4, persons behind the desk, attending to more than 500 stranded passengers at each station. I reckon we would need at least 20 or 30 staff at each station. I noted that at each customer depot there were at least 10 computer stations at our service station, but only 3 were manned. Also, there was no one to advise the passengers on their status, what arrangements were being made, what the status update of the situation was...... nothing. We just stood in a bunch at the customer service desk and hoped for some attention. Appalling. Emirates needs to beef up their crisis management strategies. As a Crisis Manager myself, I was appalled to see how poor their capability to respond to a crisis situation was. I have many ideas based on my experience in crisis management. If you want suggestions call me. Besides this crisis, Emirates has always been a very good airline to me. Their everyday service is impeccable and a treat to experience. Contra: "You need to do a better job of placing families together. I moved from my seat twice in this first flight because of poor seating choices you provided for families and young women. The first move was because a father wanted to sit next to his young son. The second was because a young women was uncomfortable sitting in a row of men. I started with an aisle seat but had to move to a middle seat through all of this. I gave up my comfort to ensure that other passengers were properly taken care of. You should only hope that others will be willing to do the same."

And to add injury to insult her bag was left behind in JFK during our transfer for our flight to Seattle. No big deal right, Delta will deliver the bag to our house the next day, wrong, we were told we have to go to the airport ourselves to get the bag."

Contra: "The cabin on the 777-200 was far too hot (about 25c) and with no individual air vent I found this unbearable on a 12 hour flight. And despite the flight taking place entirely during daylight hours and leaving at 10:30 am, inexplicably we were made to all pull our blinds down and the lights went off after a couple of hours - in the middle of the day and for about 8 hours! So although I had paid for a window seat there was nothing to see apart from the window shade. As it was the middle of the day I could not go to sleep, the person in front of me reclined fully so for me the flight was a hot, claustropobic, dark hell. An utterly miserable experience. I felt like I was going mad, trapped in my own little cell."

Then when you know that you have to go to terminal 2 for this flight, it takes them minimum 45 minutes to transport you from emirates terminal to terminal 2. 3. FlyDubai staff in general is less courteous and cooperative than emirates. 3. T2 is minimally maintained terminal with even basic amenities missing in some parts of terminal. 4. It also feels less secure."

The FlyDubai terminal in Dubai is also quite lacking- I felt like I was trapped in crappy restaurant. I'm not certain that I will ever use use this airline again- not impressed."

Contra: "Termiinal 2 at Dubai is very overcrowded. As I bought this flight as part of an Emirates ticket, it would have been nice if a meal would have been included."

Contra: "You should warn people who are purchasing one ticket from two airlines about flydubai being a different terminal. It caused a great amount of stress to have to go through immigration, get my luggage, exchange money in order to pay for a taxi to get to the other terminal. I barely made my connection. I was not a happy customer yesterday."

Pro: "FlyDubai knows customer service. I would have given 15 stars out of 10 if it let me. I flew economy but was treated like first class. I will only book with FlyDubai for all trips. See you guys next month when I return to Dubai."

Pro: "there was nothing special to like words "cheap airlines" got a really true meaning with Flydubai i will use then only if there will be no other possibility it is not about the crew it is about the "politics" of it"
Contra: "i am 6'8 tall so normal seats are not for me just wondering why having a free row ( no 15) of exit seats in the flight from Dubai to Zanzibar i needed to pay for it and on my way back row 15 was free of charge? one way charge one way not? something is far from easy to understand..and why having a combined flights (Emirates and Flydubai) i couldnt check in online? and will i get any response?"
Pro: "This flight though it does not have the reclining/bed seats was such a relief after the previous Emirates flight. The crew were so incredibly nice and helpful."

Contra: "Delay in take off by about 30 mins. Ground services in Dubai sucks and you are treated like low/no class passengers if you fly with other airlines apart from emirates. Transport bus from Term 3 to Term 2 via Term 1 make extra stops as per driver pleases. This would be last time I go via Dubai on other airlines non Emirates. Toilets in Term 2 also sucks and would rather go on the plane...."
Contra: "You had to pay for water and they left the lights on all most of the evening flight. Rough flight."
