The flight to Romania was a different story. They haven't been very professional at all. The flight had a delay and nobody said a word. It was just a clerck there who didn't tell to the Lufthansa passengers for a while anything about our delay. Pro: "Had really less than an hour to pass through immigration and catch a connecting flight to Rome. In particular I thought my bag would not make the connection, and as I was going on to Perugia that evening and it would have been a big mess. At check-in for the Rome flight, the LH lady was able to confirm my bag was already aboard which put me at ease. It came through very quickly in Rome and I arrived in Perugia on time and with my bag! Food from Bogota was tasty and there was a complimentary snack on flight to Rome."

Pro: "I flew in Business Class from JFK to Munich and then back to JFK via Frankfort. Both flights were on time and very smooth overall in both directions. The cabin crew was good both ways and all spoke English well. Lufthansa long haul flights still use the older 2 x 2 x 2 seating arrangement (unlike the more modern and common 1 x 2 x 1 arrangement where all seats have aisle access)...so if you don't want someone crawling over you trying to get to the toilet while you are trying to sleep be sure to choose a center seat (both with direct aisle access.) While not totally uncomfortable, the Lufthansa business class sleeper seats are narrower...less well padded...and have less recline options than those used by most other long haul airlines, especially the very narrow foot-wells. The pillows and blankets could be better too. The food was OK - but not on a par with what most other airlines serve on long haul flights. The JFK to Munich flight was non-problematic in all respects. However, there was a screaming baby in my aisle (Row 4 on a 747-8 only 2 seats away from me) on the Frankfort to JFK leg...which I found TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE."
Contra: "What airline would permit a lap baby (less than 2 years old...a periodic screamer...and totally unmanageable by its solo-travelling mother) to occupy it's Business Class section on a 7+ hour flight - while inconveniencing (and aggravating) all other nearby Business Class passengers who paid thousands of dollars/euros to ride in Business Class so they don't have to put up with this kind of nonsense? The answer is: "LUFTHANSA!!! And YES, this actually happened on my Frankfort to JFK flight (LH 400 on 23 January 2017.) I'm not sure if the woman in question paid for two seats or not but this unmanageable kid finally calmed down and fell asleep - but he did so in the seat next to her. If this unmanageable lap kid was allowed to do everything he did (including to use a Business Class seat for free IF that is what actually happened) then this just adds insult to injury. WAKE UP LUFTHANSA!!! People pay huge sums to ride in Business Class to avoid this situation - and it's time you BANNED this situation from even occurring."

Thumbs up for KLM crew, planes and Schiphol Airport, though short on staff and a little late everything went smooth, including the flight.

Problems with the in-flight wi-fi (none) and the flight info (none). However, movies worked fine and the selection is exceptional.

Travelling from Nigeria was a nightmare. Those thugs at the airport gave my husband and i hell because we had our boarding passes on our phone. We had to keep bribing and begging them to let us through. It is the worse travel experience I’ve ever ever had in my entire life. And I travel a lot

It’s always so dry on planes and I would have liked to be able to get more than one tiny glass of water at a time. Also, would have loved a window at my window seat. Plus no WIFI!?"

Contra: "Information on KLM website and flight status said 50 minutes delay and was never updated with the true status. 3 hours before we took off. KLM blamed the fog at Manchester but to be honest most other flights seemed unaffected. Put up in an IBIS hotel and fed substandard food and shitty hotel room with an Aircon unit that clunks into action every 30 seconds keeping me awake. It's external so I can't switch it off. Being given a 10 Euro voucher for food at the airport when most food and a drink will cost you 12 to 15 euros."

The food on the plane had spoiled so we were all starving on the flight, and we all missed our connections. Horrible experience and wouldn't fly with KLM again."

Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible."

Pro: "The very dirty plane was cleaned at Dar-es-salaam and became less dirty. The pilot kept us updated periodically through the flight. The flight attendants were very pleasant."

The plane did get cleaned a little bit in Dar-es-salaam however I was still missing a pillow and blanket which I had to actively seek out. Seating was not very comfortable as there was a box attached to the leg of the seat in front of me, making it necessary to keep my feet at an uncomfortable angle through the long flight. I did not enjoy the food."

It would be great if the line for immigration were to move smoother. Spent over 30 minutes in line and almost missed my flight.

I received a notification around midnight that the flight would be delayed from 8am to 1pm. Certainly the delay would allow only a narrow margin to make any connecting flights. Naturally, the process of loading the plane and some "communication error" resulted in additional delays. As a result, the rebooking offered by American Airlines included a flight to LAX, landing at 1230 am followed by a 6 hour layover. I can expect arrival at home at 0800, shortly before my work shift begins. I purchased the tickets with an expect arrival time as 830 pm the same day. A 12 hour swing is simply beyond the pale of reasonable delays.

The cabin crew service was better for this flight than a recent San Francisco to Chicago leg of the trip. The food service also was better. Unfortunately there were flight disruptions at the layover point in both my "there" and "back" legs of my trip (San Francisco to Boston).

Contra: "Many of the crew members seem as if they hated their jobs. I hesitate asking them anything."

I checked my bag because they said they were running out overhead space and then they went and put my bag on a LATER FLIGHT so I still don’t have my bag"
Pro: "The helpful gate agents getting the assisted on board. The crew was friendly."
Contra: "The seats have no leg room. the person in front of me laid their seat back and I could not get out to use the restroom. The screen where my husband sat did not work."
Pro: "Entertainment streaming was decent."
Contra: "The plane arrive almost 2 hours late then there was a 2 hour delay due to weather. My daughter was traveling to Italy so missed her connecting flight by 15 minutes. She did get put on another flight a couple hours later but had a 12 hour layover in London which made her miss a full day of vacation."
Pro: "All was great - we even arrived early."

Contra: "Lost our bags on our 6 hour layover in Bogota and when we arrived in Lima (our last stop cusco) they were not nice about it at all. So rude. We almost missed our flight to cusco because of it as well even though we had almost a 3 hour layover. Took more than 24 hours to get the bags"
Pro: "The Bogota based crew provided the best service I have ever experienced. Extremely pleasant and customer focused. We were flying with twins and they assisted us through out the flight. Once we landed in MIA they helped us maneuver through the maze to reach the customs & immigration area quickly. All in all a great experience."

Contra: "The staff doesn't hold passengers accountable to carry on bag size and additional bags. It results in cabin luggage storage being full before 3/4ths of the passengers board."

Contra: "We purchased seats and they changed them without telling us so we picked new ones. Well guess what, we get to the airport and the same thing. I was seated at the front of the plane and my fiancé was at the back. Luckily a nice gentleman switched seats with me and we were able to sit together but it was the last seats that did not recline on an 8 hour flight. We will never fly American again. Their customer service offered no help and was extremely rude to us."

Contra: "I rarely check bags but this was the second time in the last few months that I have and they were both terrible experiences. Last time, on my return flight home from Phoenix, I was forced to pay $250 for my long sports bag, even though the tag to get there was still on it and my receipt showed that it was the standard fare and was bluntly told the other attendant 'didn't do their job.' This time, after my travel mate already checked in and payed for two bags, when we brought the bags to the counter to drop off, we asked for future reference what the procedure was for AAdvantage card holders to get their first bag checked free. Her response was that she couldn't refund our money. I told her I wasn't asking for a refund and repeated my question - how to do it in the future, to which she responded that we should have come straight to the counter without checking in but all accounts are different and she had no idea what his was. To her credit, she did warm up after that, perhaps she heard how abrupt and unhelpful she was being but it was unfortunate to start yet another airport experience with coldness at American Airlines"

They scheduled us a new flight with Vianca and Iberia: Bogotá-Madrid + Madrid-Brussels. My partner and I could not sit together on any of these flights! 1 of 10 hours and of 2 hours! I would NOT recommend AA to anyone! This was full responsability of AA!"

Flights delayed, poor protocols to accommodate passengers in other flights.AA does not take responsibility of reimburse or compensate the passenger for cancellation of flights for technical problems of their aircraft even thought the flight is operate by AA. Zero help and communication with airlines (AA and LATAM) involved with the delays, lost connections or frights cancellations. I should be reimburse or compensate for all the inconvenience generated."

Contra: "I had reserved seats 31A and 15C for my flights 1561 and 6779, goinf Frankfurt to Dallas, and Dallas to San Jose. The charge for reserving seats was $182.03. Instead, I was put in mid-row seats 42D and 24E, on both flights. No notification or explanations from American Airlines or Kayak, and no refund...yet. Any comments?"
Contra: "The wifi prices are absolutely outrageous. In a time where hotels are giving wifi away for free bc it's baked in their pricing and costs the airline should be doing the same. It leaves a bitter taste of feeling nickel and dimed when you charge spears toy for this. Especially at $21 for a 3 hour flight. Seriously?"

Contra: "I called around 5 times since june or july to change my flight because I was injured at work and couldn't travel. I called customers service and they told me that I cannot change my flight they dont give another solution they just told me that I have to buy another flight ticket. I will not recommended amy of my family or friends to travel in vayama."

Glad to see young, friendly flight attendants. In flight catering of food quality is really poor and needs to improve.

Great comfort and entertainment in business class Food was fine but it seemed like eating dinner at 10 in the morning

Both outbound and inbound they changed the aircraft which meant our good seats got changed to bad. The flight times got changed twice as well. Not what you wanted on New Year’s Eve. Lots of people missed connecting flights.

Pro: "Not much"
Contra: "Stewardess never smiled once! She was approx age 45 and should know by now how to be professional. Not the start to a vacation anyone would want."

Contra: "Connections to US destinations now require your checked in baggage to be processed before you can proceed to your connecting flights. The real problem is that this is no sign or communications describing this. Everyone is simply stopped in the corridor and told that they cannot proceed farther until their name comes up green on a monitor. Unfortunately the monitor switches displays so frequently that it is almost impossible to read. In addition to that it seems names do not always appear on the monitor unless you get your boarding pass scanned a the desk (this is not communicated to you unless you ask why your name is not on the monitor at all). People late for connecting flights (because of inbound flight delays) are required to wait without explanation sometimes needlessly if they don't have a checked bag. A nightmare if you're trying to make your connection. In addition once you've cleared that hurdle you need to go through security again (something we were unprepared for since we were already in the secure area. You then proceed to customs and then your connecting flight (if you haven't already missed it by then). Allow lots of time to get to your connecting flight, and ask to get you boarding pass scanned at that mysterious "checked bag" stop in the corridor."
Pro: "The flight was uneventful, lucked out with exit aisle."
Contra: "Boarding took way too long. Typically an airline will ask people to voluntarily check their overhead luggage free of charge if they know it's a full flight, not on this flight. Instead, they tried to get everyone to board with luggage in hand, then once they realized there was not enough space they asked people to hold on to their luggage while they came through the plane to tag it and stow it below - very inefficient and made the boarding process crazy as people tried to make their way around luggage that was sitting in the aisles."
Pro: "The flight boarded quickly and even though we were at the back of the line there was still overhead bin space for our carry on luggage. The in-flight entertainment worked well on our iPads (no need to rent one) and the stewards always had smiles on their faces. The flight left on time and landed a few minutes early which is a bonus when you are on vacation."
Pro: "Nothing"
Contra: "Sitting around Calgary airport for 7plus hours, Late arrival in Toronto at 6am - meetings start at 8:30. Second major delay (mechanical) in 3 weeks - losing confidence in AC"
Pro: "Luckily had an empty seat next to me. Good tv and movies to watch"

Food was horrible- stereotypical airplane food and such a disappointment compared to some of the other flights with other airlines I’ve taken to various parts of Asia. Also, who charges for alchohol on an international flight?! They also don’t have entertainment systems on their flights- you need to download their app before take off so you have access to 5 crappy movies. Seriously, pay $100 more and go with someone else."

Pro: "The staff and crew were just amazing, I traveled with my 83 yr old mom who's in a wheelchair and the staff was with us from arrival to boarding and once boarded, the air crew was helpful and checking up on her often during the flight. The plane was full load of people so it was really hot but the crew came by often with water refill. A lady besides me was coughing a lot and sure enough the stewardess came by with water and to ask if anything she could do without having been summoned. We rented tablets to see movies and I'm not very technological but the stewardess was very patient with me and took time to help me set up and she showed me how to go about in your application. The flights to and from Las Vegas were perfect and all thanks to the wonderful crew you have, even the pilot was standing at the entrance to greet us when we boarded which was great as I got to see who I was entrusting my life to during this 4h38 min flight, quite reassuring. Anyways, UA, Transat and AA take a back seat to Air Canada any day of the week!"

It was never stated that we had booked tickets on ROUGE, their budget airline. We are avid and frequent travelers and after paying nearly $ 5.000.00 we feel ripped-off and deceived. It is particularly painful, since this trip was supposed to be special, for our 50th wedding anniversary. If Air Canada is represented by Travelocity it should at least insist that it is not misrepresented. Air Canada's reputation is worth the effort. A more appropriate name might be Air Canada Rogue. We could see them at the counter where our gate was but no one would come out and talk to us! Our plane finally got off the ground at 8:30 PM!"
Contra: "Tell customers beforehand that they need to download the AirCanada app to use wifi. One is unable to download the app in flight, and so we are without internet the entire time. I can't believe on this super long distance flight we didn't have TVs to watch anything. I had one on my first and shorter flight, but not the actual international flight portion? What the hell?"
Contra: "Agents at boarding desk were not courteous at all and did not have a helpful attitude towards questions and solutions requested by me, it was well below expectations."
Pro: "I liked having the pillow and blanket giving to us. So great!"
Pro: "Nice, polite and helpful bilingual crew. Apologetically when trouble started and we had to do two unscheduled stops in Calgary. THe second crew was also very nice but not very bilingual."
Contra: "The fact that we were over 6 hours late, and even with my old age, I went 24 hours without sleep. I missed my ride to the apartment where I was supposed to stay and had to rent a room at an hotel nearby, adding to the costs of the flight."
