Better entertainment options and faster boarding.

One of my bags didnt arrived. It was a priority bag. And the flight was a really bad experience. There were two kids (2-3 years old) from two families in business class that cried during literally 10 hours! Was a really long flight

Pro: "it was ok."
Contra: "Crew allowed passengers in with no masks. Why do they write a boarding time on a pass? They started 15 min later. Then, "be fast, be fast, we are behind". Plane departed 20 min late."
Contra: "Swiss air returned my bagage damaged and there is no way to report it!"

Contra: "Next time, I will give Turkish Airlines a chance, because their aircraft seats only 9 across in Boeing 777 coach. On the SFO-BUD flight, the connection is through Istanbul, but the flight time is the same 15 hours, as on the SFO-ZRH-BUD route. In addition, two checked bags are free in coach."

Pro: "I was late ( I had to drive 230 Km ) and I managed to call in advance the company that was doing the check-in on behalf of SWISS - I asked them the Check-in time closing time and by almost flying ( speeding like crazy ) I arrived before that moment."
Contra: "I did not check the terms and conditions of the ticket. I am a Star Alliance Gold member and I was expecting SWISS to have a similar booking system like the others I fly with. I found out that the ticket fare did not contain checked luggage ( so I had to pay a hefty fee for it ) and also my 20" wheeled case that was ok in all the other flights I took it with me, this time was oversized and overweight . My wife took out the 2 laptops so it became within weight limits but still oversized - My wife paid for the fee ( I wasn't there at the time and she is not a such experienced flyier as I am ) . When I found out about the fee, I checked their rules and I found out that the hand luggage is allowed to be 22" . I saw in the airplane a lot of people with cases having the same size as mine, that went as checked luggage at a cost fo around 40 . I want to see how can I get my money back . . ."

Contra: "I have just had the most unpleasant experience with Swiss Air and feel that anyone on FB should be very careful when dealing with this airline. I am a Gold Member of Star Alliance for more than 20 years and have flown dozens of times on Swiss and would expect courtesy and consideration in return for my loyalty to their airline. Their flight from Hong Kong to Zurich leaves at 00:15. I mistakenly booked this for Nov 9th instead of the intended late evening of the 9th which then turns out to be Nov 10th. When I discovered my error, I called Swiss at least six times to explain my error and ask if my son could stand by for the same flight on the 10th or even apply the amount to rebook the same flight the next day. ZERO flexibility or consideration. Missed flight, lose entire value. Start from scratch. Astonished that an airline that claims to be serving their customers would treat me this way. I travel through Europe at least 6-10 times a year from Asia. I will now route through Frankfurt, Munich, Paris, London, Vienna, Instanbul or even Moscow before ever going through Zurich again. I encourage anyone making travel plans to be very careful when considering flights with Swiss Airlines. Perhaps this treatment of a loyal customer explains why they went through bankruptcy already once."

Contra: "We had to Run from our arrival gate to our departure gate, and take a train, and go through immigration and then a second documents check. It looked to me like Swiss Air knew we were running close as the flight rarely (if ever) leaves on time. It was stressful for us and for the 30+ others who were still in line in immigration when the flight time passed. It turned out to not be a problem but the published times are unrealistic. Seats were tight and comfort in cattle class is NON Existent sleep on an 8 hour flight was not even possible."
Pro: "The woman who checked in my baggage was very helpful and patient. I had to re-arrange some weight and she assisted me in maximizing weight and minimizing cost. The flight attendants we very kind in trying to assist me in finding appropriate food. The flight was very comfortable and the flight attendants were wonderful all-around."
Contra: "Boarding of the flight was delayed which impacted our arrival time in Zurich. I had a connecting flight- but so did at least 10 other Swiss flights at that time. The queues for customs were incredibly long and the only reason I made my flight was because I ran through the airport. I also had a challenging time with food. I am celiac and often cannot eat the standard fare on planes. I called in advance of my flight to notify someone of my allergy - and they told me the only way I could ensure such a meal was by purchasing a meal that cost $30. I was not willing to pay such a hefty surcharge for food because I had already payed a bit extra than budgeted because my partner had recommended the excellent service of Swiss. I have traveled on several airlines for intercontinental flights between Boston and Europe - and have always had my allergy accommodated at no extra cost. Once on the flight - I was offered an orange and banana for dinner and a small yoghurt for breakfast. I will be flying Swiss again in December and I sincerely hope they will be better equipped to provide for my dietary requirements."

A bit of a pain for a long haul flight of 8 hours...."

They took great care to get people what they wanted, and I saw them fulfill a few special requests from the people around me politely and quickly. The entertainment selections were good. The variety of interesting musical selections allowed me to go the whole flight without running down the battery on any of my own musical devices. The seat space was comfortable, especially compared to domestic flights I've taken for the last 10 years. The enforcement of carry-on luggage rules meant the overhead compartments were sufficient for what was brought aboard and people weren't filling the foot-space with bags."

It was a pleasure to travel with Turkish Airlines. Excellent food, entertainment, and staff, not to mention the little pouches with basic necessities for the flight and the safety bags. It really gives you the feeling that this company cares for the comfort and safety of their clients.

Contra: "I was at the gate for my flight from Istanbul to Bucharest but 25 minutes before departure I noticed that passengers were lining up at a different gate so I asked what happened. I was told the flight had departed even though it was still 25 minutes before flight time. I then had to go to ticket sales where they charged me $425 dollars for the 80 minute flight to Bucharest. In the US, I would have been put on the next available flight fee of charge. I will never fly Turkish Airlines again."

Contra: "The crew when boarding the plane in Istanbul were downright RUDE. Not just rude, they were unhelpful, unwilling to listen, and were actually offensive. It was quite bad. The boarding process was also terrible. The boarding area was stifling hot, crowded, and disorganized. There was no announcement telling us when it was delayed, there was no information about where to line up, and people were chaotically cramming in everywhere. They could have done a much better job of that."

Contra: "Second trip to/from Europe on Turkish Airlines. Overall the flight was quite good and the food, service, and entertainment was excellent. However, the comfort level was the worst. This was mainly because the cabin crew kept the temperature of the plane almost like a sauna. Sweating, opened shirt, rolled up the sleeves, impossible to get comfortable or get any sleep!! The plane just seemed to get hotter and hotter! This was on all four segments across and back! The local flights seemed to be a bit better, and while not as cool as I personally like, they were acceptable. For clarification I am a premier flyer with star alliance, primarily United, and fly close to 100,000 miles per year. To date I have received NO mileage credit for any Turkish Airline flight!"

Expected A320neo as per the booking, got a 28 years old A321. Still no food service. Not impressed at all this time by Lufthansa.

The employee at Lufthansa Senator lounge was nice enough to tell us that the crew must have felt like leaving early. She was very nonchalant about the whole issue. She also refused to assist us, and told us we needed to exit the airport and reenter through the ticketing counter. I upheld my end of the deal by reaching the gate in time. This situation needs to be rectified."
Pro: "The people who work for Lufthansa are the nicest i’ve met, on par with Turkish airlines. The times for boarding and departure were respected, the flight was short but pleasant."
Contra: "The long lines. After check in and security, boarding could have involved less of a standing and waiting, with a bit of ahead communication that could be attained. For instance indicate the order of boarding, time until boarding, and place where the passengers from rows 50-70 should form ia line..."
Pro: "All good - Lufthansa even handled an unexpected air traffic delay well, meaning my connection still worked. Great price too - booked at short notice and Lufthansa business was half the price of BA. Far better device too."

Vegetarian meal was good, but only on the long leg. Munich to Madrid was not possible to choose the special meal, but that is not that important for me, so I eat what I could and that was good enough. The crew was super nice. The plane is huge, toilets are literally 'downstairs' and extra room to hang out. I will definitely choose Lufthansa again for my trips to Europe."
Contra: "If you want to reserve a seat in advance you need to pay for it, that's the only thing I didn't quite like because I found it after I bought the ticket. It was not mentioned clearly in advance, and it felt like an afterwards surprise, really? I paid for it anyways. For me it is worth it to make sure I get a window seat on the long leg flight."
Contra: "My flight was cancelled due to the pilots' strike. I only learned about this when I attempted online check in. Lufthansa never attempted to notify me. Then when I called in to the Romania Service Center to rebook, the phones went down in the middle of the call. That is understandable given the extreme volume of calls they were handling. What is unacceptable, is that they made no attempt to contact me once the phones were up. I ended up calling the U.S. service center at 1am local time to rebook...only 3 hours before I needed to leave for the airport. It took an hour - which I paid for at direct dial international rates - to find a flight. I'm very grateful for the U.S. service rep who was kind and helpful. She was the one bright spot in this poorly handled situation."

Contra: "I asked at the gate in Frankfurt if I would need to show all our passports again before boarding. The Lufthansa gate agent said she didn't think they would be checked again and to just have boarding passes ready. So I packed the passports on my carryon backpack and just had our 7 boarding passes for our family. Then at the end of the jet bridge right before getting on the aircraft, two people were checking passports again. I had to unpack them from the folder in my backpack. Not a big issue, but the gate agent gave me bad information and should have known we needed boarding passes and passports for boarding."

Nobody even came to tell them that the gate has been changed. It was because of my father's alertness they didn't miss the connecting flight and when my father asked help to members on airport none of them helped my parents and other 4 co passengers which also were on wheel chairs. It was so scary experience for them that they asked me not to book any more flights with Jet Airways. I won't recommend Jet Airways to any of my friends for their parents to travel to USA. I strongly recommend you guys to take a strict action against this. This is so unacceptable."

It was so helpful to be able to board the plane front and back. It makes it so much faster. It was also helpful announcements were made in French and English. I cannot thing of anything that would have made that short flight better.
