Contra: "Many things. Starting from the online/mobile check in process via United airlines. I was not given any other option but to check in through the United website. On that website I was not allowed to check in for my Lufthansa flights and i was stuck with seats I did not want in my 2 long intercontinental flights. This has happened before. Lufthansa has no option to check in online if my first flight leg is united. This is a very big drawback and also the reason I would not prefer to fly Lufthansa again. United is bringing the quality down."

Contra: "Every time LH lands in Bangalore, the priority bags are never given priority. Secondly, my bags were opened and items from inside the bag were taken, like pants and shoes. The luggage strap around the bag was removed and stolen."
Contra: "A flight attendant from Bucharest to Frankfurt kept bumping her behind in my shoulder. Before this she was not helpful when I asked her where to put my bag. She shoukd not work with people if she does not like them. Otherwise, everything was great: food, space, movies."

Contra: "My flight was cancelled due to the pilots' strike. I only learned about this when I attempted online check in. Lufthansa never attempted to notify me. Then when I called in to the Romania Service Center to rebook, the phones went down in the middle of the call. That is understandable given the extreme volume of calls they were handling. What is unacceptable, is that they made no attempt to contact me once the phones were up. I ended up calling the U.S. service center at 1am local time to rebook...only 3 hours before I needed to leave for the airport. It took an hour - which I paid for at direct dial international rates - to find a flight. I'm very grateful for the U.S. service rep who was kind and helpful. She was the one bright spot in this poorly handled situation."

Contra: "All would have been great, but the cross Atlantic had a locked seat assignment. I was assigned last row and middle seat, I could not change seat when there were other seats available at check-in. United would not let agents change either. Maybe kayak related? Expedia always allows seat changes"

Contra: "Food, especially breakfast is atrocious. Stupid to have to go through security again at Heathrow when you are transferring"
Contra: "BA pulled a fast one on the passengers by first gradually increasing the projected delay, up to 3.5 hours, and then last minute changing the flight status from "delayed by 3.5 hours" to "on time, gate open". They did this without making any announcements on the loudspeaker, or sending any notifications to the passengers. Whoever didn't see the status change on a screen would have missed the flight. The crew must have recognized this (after half of the plane didn't show up), and just decided to wait some more, so our "on time" flight was eventually delayed by 1.5 hours only because the airline couldn't shepherd the passengers together when they were ready to leave."
Contra: "definitely a significant downgrade from my first flight from dallas to london. this flight from london to bangalore was outdated, with old entertainment systems, no usb connection, no snacks available. also we were shuttled from the boarding area on a crowded bus to the plan and had to climb several stairs with our heavy handbaggage up to enter the plane. crew was ok, nothing special. i've traveled british airways quite a few times from the USA via London to India and always notice the downgrade on the flight to India."

Pro: " Contra: "I was disappointed in the food. On my second flight that day my ticket said I would get a meal but I didn´t."
Contra: "My entertainment voice did I not work. After four hours of the trip they gave me a another headset and thst worked. When I adjecfor decaf coffee, they didn't bring it and seemed annoyed after two asks I got sone, tasted like Nescafé. Food was scare, very surprised there were no snacks after meal was served for a ten hour flight until the end when a small sandwich was served."

Contra: "Time between connections at Heathrow Terminal 5 was too short and the terminal has long distances , slow passport control and security check. Terminal 5 is rubbish."
Contra: "Had flight from Rome to L.A., with a stop in London. At Rome airport, had to wait 2.5 hours in the check-in line. Once at the counter, the lady tells me "don't worry you won't miss your flight, because it has been delayed 3 hours, but bad news is you will miss your connecting flight in London!" She says once you get to London, British Airways will put you in a hotel overnight and you can fly out the next day. We finally get to London Heathrow that night, and there is no one at the gate to help us. After walking to the third floor where their departures are (exhausted with two little kids), I find a BA employee. Asked her if she can put us in a hotel for the night, and she says there are no more hotel rooms available!! She tells me to go find a room myself and they will reimburse me up to 200.00 pounds a night, then hands me a brochure about my rights, and walks away. Shocked, I followed the other pissed off passengers to a hotel reservation agency on the first floor. After standing in another line for 0.5 hour, the guy reserved me a room with one bed at the Best Western for 305.00 pounds!! Now I am finally back home, and will see if I can get reimbursed by these cheapskates."
