Pro: "I was late ( I had to drive 230 Km ) and I managed to call in advance the company that was doing the check-in on behalf of SWISS - I asked them the Check-in time closing time and by almost flying ( speeding like crazy ) I arrived before that moment."
Contra: "I did not check the terms and conditions of the ticket. I am a Star Alliance Gold member and I was expecting SWISS to have a similar booking system like the others I fly with. I found out that the ticket fare did not contain checked luggage ( so I had to pay a hefty fee for it ) and also my 20" wheeled case that was ok in all the other flights I took it with me, this time was oversized and overweight . My wife took out the 2 laptops so it became within weight limits but still oversized - My wife paid for the fee ( I wasn't there at the time and she is not a such experienced flyier as I am ) . When I found out about the fee, I checked their rules and I found out that the hand luggage is allowed to be 22" . I saw in the airplane a lot of people with cases having the same size as mine, that went as checked luggage at a cost fo around 40 . I want to see how can I get my money back . . ."

Contra: "For a 5' 4" person like myself, arm and leg room were barely minimal, Economy seats were crammed together and were not ergonomically designed for comfort or support. I was fortunate to be able to move from my center seat to an aisle seat once the flight was in progress. As soon as I did, the air around me was cooler and made for more comfortable breathing. In the center seat, the air was still and close—very uncomfortable. Poor communication regarding passport control protocol at the departure gate: A temporary station was set up, labeled Passport Control, but no SWISS agent announced what was happening. I had just gone through a passport control line on a lower level so I didn't think I had to go through a similar process at the gate. Most people around me also didn't know whether they had to go through the process at the gate. Once agents had been questioned on the subject several times, they should have made a general announcement to inform everyone at the gate. They did not. The food on the plane was the usual poor quality fare for economy class—either highly processed or overcooked and much too salty. Ugh."

Contra: "The seats decline fairly far back into the next seat. As a result, some of the passengers got agitated if they do not go with the flow and decline like dominoes. Both legs of the flight we had the people seated behind us kicking and shoving our seats. One gentleman was kicking my seat for a couple hours and made a scene on the outgoing flight. The stewardess addressed the gentleman and explained that I had to decline my seat because the seat in front of me was declined. My knees were jammed into the seat in front of me, so every time the gentleman kicked me, it not only hurt my back, but my knees. The couple behind us on the return flight jumped the line to get onto the flight, kept kicking our seats and then pretended they did not understand when we asked that they stop. I think the pilot should address the issue upfront so this toddler like behavior does not go on. I am not sure if it is common behavior, but not something I have experienced on an American carrier."

There seemed to be something wrong with the main dish (special order) and I started to feel ill soon after eating from it. It took a few days to get better. The headset didn't work for most of the trip, even after several attempts by the flight attendant to re-set it."

Contra: "There was no update on the status of our connecting flight. The pilot gave an update of other flights except for ours but it caused a bit of confusion. Some people even had to missed there flights altogether! Lufthansa, from the 4 times I have flown with them always seems to be late with no sense of urgency. Ultimately after arriving in Venice, I get an email that my bags did not make it, yet I was told by the boarding agent that the plane was still loading our bags."

Contra: "To italy united by Lufthansa had great Netflix shows, movies and better interface. This flight to Chicago was Germany based, so I understand the international choices, but there was very little to watch in the movie, tv and show categories. Otherwise all great!"

Contra: "The seats in Economy were the most uncomfortable I have ever sat in for such a long time nine and a half hours. All six of us found them to be uncomfortable. No seat bottom cushioning. I had a back pain. Boarding started with the First Class and Business Class first. It took an additional 20 minutes for Economy class to start boarding. The line was very, very long and interfered with other travelers in the airport terminal. "boarding area to Frankfurt was cramped" When we arrived in Denver, only five Custom Agents were on duty to process our arrival passports, although there are 14 control stations at Denver. It appeared as though the Custom Agents were not aware of the arrival of the Lufthansa 747 nor the one that followed. All other Custom in Europe were much more efficient and move people through quickly. What a bad first impress made by the USA Customs people."

Contra: "This was the coldest flight I ever flew- the temperature was probably in the 50s. For 9 hours when even 3 blankets were not enough to keep us to a decent temperature. Also the crew was very cold and dismissive. They were very aggressive towards two other passengers."

Contra: "Flight from Munich to Charlotte: I do not fly that frequently (just only about 1 or 2 times per year - usually with Lufthansa) so I had no idea that as an Economy class passenger I cannot use the Business class bathroom. I admit my mistake for violating this etiquette. There was no line formed so I just used it, but as I was leaving the toilet a stewardess grabbed my arm and sternly made me aware of my trespassing. She was very professional and I believe it was not her intention; however, she made me feel very stupid for not realizing that the Business class toiled is for the Business class customers only. Don't get me wrong, if I paid premium for my fare I would probably expect less crowded toilets too. In my opinion, this unwritten rule should be made more explicit to the Economy class passengers, as nobody likes to feel embarrassed by mistakenly wandering into an exclusive club they don't belong to. I know there are separating curtains, but they were open. I saw a line forming in the Economy section so my next instinct was to go a different direction, which led me to the Business section. I really needed to use the bathroom, so I did not think of the proper etiquette at the moment."

Contra: "Frankfurt airport: Had to walk for an hour to get from gate to gate. I was getting off an international flight and onto another international flight. International gates are usually closer than that. On the flight: 1. The armrests pull up, which is great if you're traveling with family or a significant other. But, in my case, it was an overweight and obese lady, who didn't fit in her seat and just slipped into half of mine. I was stuck with half a seat with her arm bumping mine for a 12-hour flight. I landed with a bruised arm. It was a round trip flight. When I had submitted a complaint, Lufthansa refunded me a 100$, which is nice of them, but I think they should have upgraded me for my return flight instead to make up for the first flight being uncomfortable. 2. I paid for the internet service and was charged double for it. Again, had to submit a complaint and was refunded the money. Check-in: The online system wouldn't allow me to check in online because my passport wasn't biometric."

Contra: "Seating was incredibly uncomfortable and cramped. Legs were in pain after the flight. Not enough beverage service for such a long dlight."

Pro: "Absolutely nothing. Despite booking business class flights 3 months before departure date because we had to attend a very important wedding. Swiss Airlines overbooked the flight but didn’t warn us in advance. This meant my husband was forced to pay over 8 thousand Euros to charter a small private je"
Contra: "So That we could attend the wedding early the next morning in Oldenburg. They then had the audacity to void our return flights. Luckily I spoke with a lovely lady at Lufthansa, explained the situation and she re-instated return flights for an admin fee. Will never ever use Swiss Airlines again."

The only way to talk to them is to find them at the end of the plane ( where they been chating with each other ) Secondly . The amount of snacks was limited where’s in Turkish airlines it’s unlimited and you can choose different sandwiches whereas in Austrian airilines can offer biscuits and Cookies ;( Thirdly . We are living in 21 century and most transatlantic airlines have WiFi ! Where’s Austrian did not have it!"

Pro: "The crew was super friendly and always gave the feeling that they want the customers to feel comfortable and enjoy the flight. One of the crew members even offered me to move to an emergency exit seat (without me asking to move) because I am tall. Amazing!"

Contra: "Crew not only lacked sensibility to understand the purpose of an emotional support dog but kept harassing me about the dog being tied to my seat. At some point a flight attendant even tried to touch my dog, invading my personal space. When the dog rightfully acted defensive trying to protect me, the crew member started threatening me that he would have the dog sent to cargo, the last thing a person with an emotional support pet wants to hear. Extreme lack of professionalism."

Pro: "Premium Economy on AF Boeing 777 on this route is not "a little less than Business", but rather "a little more than Economy". Seats, in a 2-4-2 configuration, are hard but OK, as well as the pitch. Good screens and entertainment."
Contra: "With the main meal, AF serves only "ordinary wine", This looks and tastes cheap. On the same route and class, Vietnam Airlines serves premium wines, a nice touch that would not cost fortunes to AF! Also, the "Asian" choice for the main course did not look and taste like the real thing."

Contra: "They forgot the snack/breakfast service for the front right section of economy then had to rush it. Overall, the service was good, but some things just seemed off. An attendant call was never answered, etc."

AF without our knowledge downgraded one member, separating a mother from her 3 year old daughter. They offered no compensation, no apology, and CDG ground crew was terribly rude. All anyone said was, nothing to be done, now please Leave"

Pro: "Seat room was better on most economy flights. The food was good and the glass of champagne did not hurt at all. The aircraft flew very smoothly from takeoff to landing."

There was plenty of room, I had breakable stuff in my luggage, didn´t get the chance to choose. No entertainment AT ALL. Confort: no leg space at all. Not an AirFrance plane, subcontracted. Lousy food."

Contra: "The cabin on the 777-200 was far too hot (about 25c) and with no individual air vent I found this unbearable on a 12 hour flight. And despite the flight taking place entirely during daylight hours and leaving at 10:30 am, inexplicably we were made to all pull our blinds down and the lights went off after a couple of hours - in the middle of the day and for about 8 hours! So although I had paid for a window seat there was nothing to see apart from the window shade. As it was the middle of the day I could not go to sleep, the person in front of me reclined fully so for me the flight was a hot, claustropobic, dark hell. An utterly miserable experience. I felt like I was going mad, trapped in my own little cell."

Contra: "It was all good, only in comparison with Turkish airlines and etihad it is not at par."

Contra: "Seat didn't recline. The entertainment unit was very difficult to dislodge and raise to use (We were in the front). Movies were kind of older ones but I had reading to do so entertainment wasn't that important."

Contra: "Just wish they served water a couple times more, because when you're in the plane for the whole day, 2-3 little cups isn't enough."

When I received the suitcase, over $1000 in equipment was stolen , suitcase was all scrambled...I WAS ROBBED ! ...then on the return flight to HOUSTON, they lost my suitcase again ! W.T.F ? ! No one has called me to apologize for anything ! I expect to be reimbursed for my loses, or I will sue the airline."

Contra: "Boarding at Lisbon airport was one of the worst experiences. Passengers were asked to line up at least 30 minutes before boarding started and it was hot in the terminal. As boarding started, passengers were split into groups by boarding zones...premium passengers boarded first as expected, then people with small bags. This is where the problem was because a group of four passengers who had one small bag (that could fit under seat) were allowed to go before passengers in boarding zones A/B. The whole idea is people who could fit bags under their seat would board first, but the tap team made a mess and allowed many passengers with large bags in as well. I was one of the last ones to be boarded and stranded on the line for over 40 minutes with my backpack...after traveling for a month and being delayed in Rome, last thing you want is stupid mistakes like this to cause you stress."

Pro: "Overhead luggage space"

Contra: "The flight was delayed and I missed my next flight. They charged me for the next flight (from Lisbon to Porto) full price but put me on wait list, contrary to their representation (Tap Air as well)."

As a result, I lost the money, the passenger did not fly, and no refund was issued. This is the first time I ever heard of such BS. Not happy, very disappointed"

Pro: "I loved how the entertainment was complimentary and there was a wide selection of movies, TV shows and music. I’m used to having one or maybe two movies to choose from but TAP has an entire movie library on the back of each seat. I watched 3 new releases on my 7.5 hour flight. The food was also tasty and I technically had two meals. Great job, TAP!"
Contra: "The only thing that could be improved is the boarding process in the Lisbon airport. The boarding time for the flight was one hour before takeoff and the gate area was too small to hold the total number of people taking the flight. We also didn’t board until 30 min before the flight so passengers were waiting in one big crowd because it was impossible to find a seat or to even form clear lines for boarding."

Worse, after 2-hours with customer service, nobody there made any real attempt to remedy the situation or offer any compensation. Worst airline experience EVER."

Contra: "The sizing device is much smaller than it needs to be for carry on roller bags. My bag was forced to be checked by the ground crew on this Tap flight. My bag is a normal sized carry on bag that has always fit on all flights. There was plenty of space on the aircraft for it. The ground crew also let others on with larger bags so they dont even apply their policy in a consistent manner. I will do my best to avoid TAP from now on."

Contra: "I don't like how they do boarding. There is no organization, There was a big group and then when they were calling my rows you had to get past many people ahead of you. The other problem is when we disembarked the plane, we took a bus and then were dropped off in an area that was very far from the baggage area. We walked and walked and there were no bathrooms, walked through all these high end shops and no bathroom available til you got to the baggage area."
