Also seated me next to a person who needed 2 seats to himself. Please never seat me next to a passenger who cannot fit in their own seat. I am switching to SWA."

Also, what is going on, with having to use your own cell phone to watch movies on the plane? Whatever happened to the screens in the backseat of the front seat? I ended up with neck pain from trying to watch a movie on my phone. Delta has become very cheap. It is going into some serious decline."

Contra: "Let me just say that I’m a loyal Delta costumer until now. The flight attendants (the two women) were an absolute nightmare. They were so rude and condescending. I was carrying with me my service dog and a bag containing an expensive medication (it couldn’t go on the top bin). Despite being in the comfort class and having the seat next to me empty, we were tight for space. The flight attendants were unreasonable and forced me to put my medication on the top bin despite the fact I had told them it was extremely delicate, that it that to go upright, and that I needed to keep it with me. They did not listen and pressured me into giving them the medication. The medication could have easily gotten broken. Thankfully it didn’t but this is no way to treat a human being."

I got to the airport in Denver at 5:30 am for a 7:30 am flight to Atlanta, and the line to check a bag was about 40 people long. I waited 55minutes to check my bag, as they kept moving the ski priority people, and people in danger of missing their flight, to the head of the line. There were obviously not enough Delta workers on staff to process all the flights at that time."

All and all I have come to expect a better experience from American Airlines in First Class. The ticket was expensive."

Our flights were changed and we flew out of toronto Flights kept changing delays wasnt happy about that

The flight attendants were knowledgeable and informative. Our incoming flight was delayed due to snow and ice. Once we were aboard the flight from Denver to Detroit, the pilot informed us that we needed to go to de-icing prior to lift off. He led us to believe that it would only delay our trip by 10-15 minutes. We sat on tarmac for one hour prior to lift off. I definitely appreciate the safety process of de-icing but I wish the pilot had given a more realistic estimate of time of departure.

Contra: "Lost my baggage even though I actually watched them transport it to the airplane from the airplane window. Brutal."

This was the first of two flights I took this trip that had mechanical issues, so they obviously need to fix their planes better or get new ones, because two Air Canada flights in one day that have mechanical problems leaves me worried that the planes aren't in optimal condition. It took me over 24 hours to get from Tucson, AZ to Montreal, Canada when normal travel takes less than 8 hours including layovers."
Pro: "I had an aisle seat"
Contra: "The plane sat on the runway in Denver for over an hour because they couldn't figure out their furling situation. Many people nearly missed connections because of this. The crew never let us get up to go to the bathroom on an international flight because of some small turbulence."
Pro: "Seats were ok but a bit cold all the way."
Contra: "One hour late leaving, no reason or information given. Food was awful with green sauce on chicken and celery bits in milk for salad, the connecting flight was cancelled and the option was another flight in two days. The only flight going later that evening was full and the next day was full also they said. An hour later a bus service was offered leaving in ten minutes which many of us raced to catch on our own with no one to show us how to get to the bus. The bus we were told to look for was the wrong bus. Of course our luggage didn't make it and that took another hour to register at our destination as every one else on the bus didn't get their luggage either. Bus driver got lost but passengers were able to show him the way. This is the third time in four flights Air Canada has lost our luggage. The worst was the NO ONE ever smiles, we were watching for it, and certainly NO ONE ever says we are sorry you are inconvenienced which would go a long way to make the delays and changes more tolerable."
Pro: "Nothing! Unpleasant unhelpful crew at gate, no better onboard, absolutely moist cramped seating ever! Disorganized and late- boarding, departing, waited to disembark at arrival, 25 min before first bag off baggage......dreadful no one cares"
Contra: "Thank you for choosing Air Canada- smiles and goodbyes- where's all that Before you leave? They treat you like problem cattle to be dealt with, you're anonymous and valueless until you leave then they look at you and thank you?! Missing sincerity And service!"
Pro: "Onboard attendants were pleasant"
Contra: "No apology for lateness, flight boarded late, took off 40 min late, arrived 35 minutes late but we sat at gate waiting for someone to open it ?!, then another 15 min before bags started to unload Ridiculous but indicative of airlines You are not their valued guest or even their customer, you are a problem that needs to be solved and are consequently met with preloaded annoyance and a readiness to dismiss, placate at the best of times but definitely not please, impress, sympathize or satisfy. There is no evidence that it's even in their lexicon- not a part of their recruitment or selection process or training, ever! They're main focus and only positivity is saved for themselves. There may be a long line of concerned and anxious travelers but their priority is getting coffees for the battle ahead! They break their focused indifference only for each other and enthusiastically leave their post to satisfy each other's needs and attention. This has got to change! Why do we put up with such awful service for which we are the paying customer? Why are we, their customers, not valued? This airline makes record profits, provides less, charges for everything and increasingly delivers bad service, sometimes offensively bad! It doesn't cost more to hire a customer centric pleasant person, or incorporate guest experience into training or at the very least be friendly and smile! What if an airline just did that?! They'd differentiate themselves and develop a positive customer centered culture. Don't we deserve that, at the very least?!"
Pro: "Not anyone's fault --- delayed due to Fog. Then on rout to Ottawa when they started selling food, they ran out of the main breakfast meals and or cheese plates by isle 19."
Pro: "Arrived early at check in counter and was offered to catch an earlier flight"
Contra: "Was not able to use a toddler booster for my daughter"
Contra: "Crew wasn't helpful and attentive, boarding staff in Toronto were blatantly rude to me, I watched as my luggage got handled aggressively, the plane was dirty with old food crumbs and such, my flight to Windsor got cancelled and accomadations were not met sufficiently."
Pro: "Flight was on time. Personal entertainment is very good and crew was great."
Contra: "Boarding is always a bit chaotic with the carry on bags. I am tall, so economy seats are always uncomfortable."
Pro: "The flight was perfect. Stress free. I will definitely get it again."
Pro: "That I was able to play it on my phone"
Contra: "Flight attendants passed by me without asking if I would like to buy lunch and when she finally she came by they didn't have anything else"
Pro: "I like that Air Canada provides entertainment and its flight attendants are really good."
Contra: "I rarely fly these partner airlines without experiencing major delays, and the delays are always announced after I have cleared security, forcing me to spend hours at the airport. The claims of "weather" are specious: they don't fly enough planes and they don't properly maintain the planes they do fly."
Pro: "Online booking,boardong pass, alerts"
Pro: "The fact that there were several vacant seats helped with finding room to stretch out."
Contra: "Nothing in particular."

Pro: "The landing of the plane was good and one flight attendant was courteous. The movie options were pretty good. At least the wine was free."
Contra: "The check-in counter in DCA was AWFUL with only two people running and no kiosks working. They were rude and didn't listen to us either. When we got to the food part, it was disguisting. First of all, I am vegetarian but even if I ate meat, I wouldnt have eaten it. So I just ate bread for the 13 hour flight. Besides one flight attendant, the rest were rude, harsh and had a generally bad attitude. AIr Canada has BY FAR been the worst travel experience for me thus far. I guess you get what you pay for."
Contra: "Wasn't offered a drink or food for 2 hours into the flight. Then when they reached me, all the options were sold out. I had crackers and hummus for lunch. I am pregnant and travelling alone with a toddler and was told by a flight attendant they were suppose to help me lift my bag. Nothing major, but left an unpleasant experience compared to Westjet."

Contra: "Check-in process at Denver counter rather slow. Gate information at Denver very confusing due to changes and lateness in displaying/announcing information."

Contra: "The food was terrible, the service was grumpy, and one of the carts hit my shoe so hard that it tore it."

Contra: "i booked a flight through kayak going from denver to milan. i showed up at the airport in denver to fly out yeserday only to find out that i was going to frankfurt germany. i am now in munich germany and never made it to milan. i was one of many people i met on the flight that also booked with air canada thinking they were headed to milan. air canada kept trying to put the blame off to my booking company. i don't know who to be ticked off at. please advise."
Pro: "Great crew. Nice airline."
Contra: "Both flights were over 30 minutes late. Otherwise they were just fine."

Contra: "Had to be rerouted to Calgary because I missed my connection"

Contra: "The flight attendants on this flight did NOT do their job. If they are there to ensure a safe environment for the people on board, they completely missed the boat. I was in row 45. Two families were on board with their 4 very young children. For the entire 8 hour flight, 3 of these children disrupted the entire section of the plane. They continuously played in the aisles, stood in the seats, kept their seat belts unbuckled, threw objects, and one blasted his iPad at maximum volume. When I asked one flight attendant to ask the family to get the child to lower the volume on his iPad (it was 4am; people were either using their ear buds, or had their screens turned off), they complied with the request for 30 minutes, then resumed at full throttle. I can honestly say, it was one of the worst flights I have ever experienced in 57 years."

Pro: "We really enjoyed TAP Air Portugal and expect to fly with them again. Comfortable seats, pillow, blanket, and MEALS! Good ones with actual silver! USB charging port at every seat, with a good selection of movies. Great airline for a great price!"
Contra: "Again contact to customer service ahead of the flight was impossible I sent 3 messages about travel with ESA dog and got no response"
Contra: "Food timing, displays for video tiny and no selection possivble."
Pro: "Everything went according to the timetable, boarding was on-time and we even arrived a bit earlier than scheduled, so I can't really fault the service of the pilots, the cabin crew or the ground operations team. Food wasn't exactly stellar, but clearly a lot better than on most European flights operated by larger companies (Lufthansa, KLM, Air France etc.). The aircraft itself was clean and looked fairly new and well maintained"
Contra: "The seating was absolutely HORRENDOUS. Even though I'm nearly 6'3" (close to 1.90m), I generally never complain about seating space or legroom, even on low cost flights. This particular TAP aircraft, however, despite looking quite new, had some of the most cramped seating ever. Additionally, the trays were minuscule (you could barely place the entire food tray the service during the flight, let alone have another drink at the same time on the tray). Also, on the inbound flight (this was the return one), the seats were fitted with a very simple and clever tablet-holding mechanism, so you could easily watch something on your table while eating your food (from a similarly small tray table). The seat back pockets do not have any material/fabric on the sides, so stored items could easily slip out sideways from the pocket. Shame to have such a good in flight service and to be a punctual airline if you're going to carry your passengers cramped like cattle in seats 'rivalling' the ones on Ryanair flights on 4-hour long journeys."
Pro: "It was quick."
Contra: "Delayed transport to flight, tiny non-reclining seats. Food offering mediocre and had to flag down flight attendant just to get water they we're giving to everyone but some of us apparently."
Contra: "why do they sell their tickets when they know they can not make the connection? little time between the two flights compared to the functionality of the airport. never again TAP"
Contra: "Two flights today. Both over an hour delayed."
Pro: "Movies"
Contra: "Food"
Pro: "Nice crew, tasty snack, new plane with comfortable seats"
Contra: "Huge bag charge for anything over 8 kg! Sign said last call 40 min before flight when agent told us to check board 30 min before flight for gate assignment!"
Pro: "Very nice flight. Complimentary wine, meals and movies. We were in Economy Plus so the leg room was quite good."
Contra: "Flight was canceled which was out of their control. Unfortunately, what wasn’t out of their control was the amount of people handling the rebooking. One person was handling alternate flights. I was the 6th person in line (which was the time equivalent of an hour and half wait. I missed all possible reroutes due to flights closing. The customer service of tap airlines is severely lacking"
Pro: "The crew was very king"
Contra: "the seats were very uncomfortable because the backs were not adjustable"
Pro: "The crew & cleanliness in general . On time ."
Contra: "What I don’t like in all modern flights in economy( not enough leg room) . I’m 5feet 8 and can hardly fit . I’m Not overweight. I can’t imagine what taller people must feel like."
Contra: "The worst airline"
Contra: "my luggage was opened somewhere along the way. My gift for my child was stolen. Ugly ! Very ugly !! I got home, I unzipped my bag and I do not have a pair of sneakers that were a gift for my baby and some other sweets, my luggage was half empty! The face of my disappointed kid broke my soul, that should not have happened."
Pro: "Anything I liked feels inconsequential."
Contra: "My wife and I arrived to the airport for our honeymoon extremely excited. We had been saving for our trip to Italy for months, and we were finally going to get things started. Everything fell apart when we went to check in and we were told that my wife couldn’t use her ticket because she had changed her last name. We were told that there was no way that the name on the ticket could be changed because of TSA regulations. Of course, we were also told that we could have changed the name had we purchased a more expensive ticket. In other words, we were lied to and told the issue was regulation, when really they wouldn’t help us because we couldn’t afford a more expensive ticket. The only help we were given was the pleasure of paying over $1,500 more to get my wife on the flight. I am in the process of trying to get this refunded, but as of now we have paid twice for my wife to fly, and neither ticket has been refunded. We may have accidentally broken a rule, but the only function that rule seems to have is to make us pay twice for the same seat. As of now, I would never fly this airline again, and I would warn everyone away from it. I will update this post if TAP does the right thing by two honeymooners."
Contra: "I needed to cancel my trip and no one could help me. Even with a fee!"
Contra: "Me and my girlfriend were seated in the middle in a 4 seat combination. I asked the crew member to move us on an aisle seat. Even though there were plenty of aisle seats open, the crew member just kinda ignored us. The old lady sitting next to me just slept the whole time and I could not get out to the bathroom. Also since I am left handed I could not really eat since with the right-handed old lady we were hitting each other's elbow and nocking each the food out of each other's hand, I finally pulled my elbow in and ate like a T-Rex. The person in front of me pushed their seat back all the way, I asked the crew member to do something but nothing really was done, since I am a little taller I could not fit my knees, they were crushed."
Pro: "Cabinstaff were friendly and professional"
Pro: "Very gentle staff. Good food and service. And I will visit Lisbon next time."
Contra: "Too early in the morning. A better connection in Lis wil lhelp"
Pro: "Fast boarding"
Contra: "Had to wait forever to find out Gate Number."
Contra: "The attendant who checked me in at the Porto airport was very rude and sarcastic. At the gate they said the flight would be delayed half an hour, however they just called us to start boarding a half an hour after the flight was expected to leave. At that time the passengers of the previous flight were just starting to leave the plane so everyone that was about to board then had to stand in the freezing cold tunnel way with all of our bags for another 20 minutes while the previous passengers got off. There was no food or any beverage other than water offered on the flight."
Pro: "Nothing."
Contra: "They gave my 70-year old mother only a few hours notice that they were changing her one-stop four-hour 6AM flight into an 8AM multi stop 14-hour marathon. In fact, she was already asleep when they changed her flight, so she was already at the airport when she found out about the change. To do this to a 70-year old woman is reprehensible. Worse, after 2-hours with customer service, nobody there made any real attempt to remedy the situation or offer any compensation. Worst airline experience EVER."
Pro: "Seats were big and comfortable with lots of leg room."
Contra: "No entertainment on first 3 hr intra-Europe flight. Food was not good."

Contra: "It's always fun to go into the bathroom and find a sink ful of puke in there. It had been there for some time by the stench and they way it had slopped all over. I told the flight attendant and they were like oh well. It was gross. Add that on top of I am a DISABLED person and I could not carry my case up the steps and was told someone would bring it up. They did not. It went under the plane with no tag and then when I arrived in Lisbon it was somehow my fault. The flight crew there trying to "assist" were horrendous. I was actually told I should not be flying internationally if I can't carry my bag. Isn't there rules about bags flying unattended? Even internationally. How was my LAPTOP case supposed to get to EWR without a tag? Shouldn't it have been checked? Shouldn't the crew have noticed this and said something to flight attendants? The club and plane both were filthy. The first seat I sat in in the club smelled so strongly of pee I had to go stand (as it was so crowded) I am a million mile flyer and I will never fly TAP again."
Pro: "Was able to sleep most of the flight and we took off on time"
Contra: "Checking a bag took almost an hour."

Contra: "TAP changed the flight and only allowed 1 and one-half hours to transfer. You need to go through Portugal custums and the line is long."

Pro: "The service was excellent. The help on board was extremely professional and polite. There was plenty of leg room and the bathrooms were fairly large too."

Pro: "The flight left later than expected because the boarding process didn't start till 5 minutes after the scheduled departure time. The service on the aircraft was very nice though"
Pro: "The on-board crew was pleasant and professional unlike the check-in staff. Food was ok, landing was smooth."
Contra: "The airline makes money by having very low weight allowances on carry-on and checked luggages. The staff at the check in desk act like they are surprised and symphatetic about the overages meanwhile they enforce the weight limits to the gram. Most deplorable of all is the fact that they have one person on staff at a special desk where one can go to pay for the newly discovered overages. This desk and the person assigned to it full time is the proof that the company expects this kind of result before hand. Where on most continental flights the weight limit is usually set at 31 kilograms for checked-in baggages TAP Portugal has a limit of 23kg. Where most companies have no weight limit or around 20kg on carry-on baggage they have 8kg. The overages in weight result in a flat fee of $100 per luggage, even if the luggage is just one kilogram over the allowed limit. The low ticket purchase price is in my opinion a deplorable marketing scheme aimed at getting people to buy their tickets and then be faced with extra charges when it turns out weight alloweances are set at domestic standards."
