Pro: "I was late ( I had to drive 230 Km ) and I managed to call in advance the company that was doing the check-in on behalf of SWISS - I asked them the Check-in time closing time and by almost flying ( speeding like crazy ) I arrived before that moment."
Contra: "I did not check the terms and conditions of the ticket. I am a Star Alliance Gold member and I was expecting SWISS to have a similar booking system like the others I fly with. I found out that the ticket fare did not contain checked luggage ( so I had to pay a hefty fee for it ) and also my 20" wheeled case that was ok in all the other flights I took it with me, this time was oversized and overweight . My wife took out the 2 laptops so it became within weight limits but still oversized - My wife paid for the fee ( I wasn't there at the time and she is not a such experienced flyier as I am ) . When I found out about the fee, I checked their rules and I found out that the hand luggage is allowed to be 22" . I saw in the airplane a lot of people with cases having the same size as mine, that went as checked luggage at a cost fo around 40 . I want to see how can I get my money back . . ."

I was then rerouted through Istanbul with the promise that I would be well compensated for my troubles. I was told that I would receive a certain amount for every hour I was delayed from my original arrival at end destination. Well I arrived 8 or more hours after I had originally expected (and the reason I booked with Swiss Air was because of the timing and the apparent luxury of the flight). Once I got back home and tried to pursue this amazing compensation I received some of the worst customer service ever and received 0 compensation for the experience. Very disappointed and will never fly swiss airlines again."

Contra: "Walking out on the tarmac to board."
Pro: "It was a good flight, nice crew"
Contra: "The boarding process was chaotic. Despiste we were in the priority line, we did not feel comfortable."
Contra: "Kept staying for 1 hour unnecessarily. Plane late. Flight late, arriving 1 hour late. run out of many refreshment options, plane dirty."
Contra: "The airline made us go to the gate where there was no seating, though they knew the flight was an hour late, so we stood for an hour, before being told we had to check carry on bags in the hold, carrying computers,valuables, batteries, and drinks in our hands (not possible). Card payment on board was disabled. Payment in the currency of the departing country was impossible."
Pro: "Simple budget flight. You get what you pay for."
Contra: "Unexpected manual checking of bag into hold. I hadn't packed with that in mind and was concerned about breakage and the fact that my bag had no lock. But the bag survived intact."
Pro: "Prompt take-off, good in-flight service, landed 30 minutes early."
Pro: "It got me home."
Contra: "Firstly, there were no sandwiches (hot or cold) available on a late afternoon flight, so the remaining food options were poor. Secondly, my £7 Gin and Tonic that I'd hardly touched slid right off the frankly useless trays and into my lap. The flight attendant literally threw me a few paper towels to help. I spent the remaining three hours of the flight soaking wet."
Pro: "very reasonable rates-initially, except for: ......"
Contra: "hidden surcharge if you don't check in ahead of time, you end up paying almost double the ticket price!! Pretty much a bate and switch deal to make you pay more."
Pro: "It would have been good to know in advance that checking a bag would cost half as much as the flight itself. But why did I have to check in online then stand in line to be told to stand in a second line to pay for my bag only to stand in the same line again to actually do the check in? Why? When it was done I asked the agent where to go to find the gate and he only waived on the next customer. I didn't seem to be worth his attention."
Contra: "Customer service"
Contra: "You charged me an extra 150 Euro because I did not receive your e mail and could not register on line my flight. I complained at Airport in Greece and no one would assist me. I am writing the NY Times and Washington Post about your strategy to take extra $ from first time flyers of your airline. Shamfull !!!! Pro: "Lots of legroom. The crew was very nice and friendly."
Contra: "The plane was late and boarding was delayed by an hour and a half which caused us to pay a late check in at our hotel. Boarding was not an easy, seamless process. They made me put my backpack up top, but at least it gave me lots of legroom. Having a mandatory check in several hours before your flight to avoid a fee for "normal" check-in seems not customer friendly."
Pro: "I liked that I'd be off in 2hrs"
Contra: "This airline is horrible. Unless prices are significantly lower, any other European airline is significantly better"
Pro: "Crew were polite."
Contra: "Flight was delayed 1 1/2 hours. There was no announcement that there was a delay or explanation.. The Priority boarding is very poorly organised . when we were finally let out onto the tarmac there was a mad scramble by the non priority customers to get to the plane although the one lady in charge did control things to a degree I might add that at Gatwick going to Belfast the Priority boarding was a joke. If you are going to make customers queue in the corridor please put a sign up outside to indicate the you dont't have to queue"
Contra: "you don't get a check in luggage and no one tells you until you're already there. then if you try to do it beforehand online, the system won't let you and you end up paying more than twice as much to do it at the airport. save your money and fly with another airline."
Pro: "I can't think of any."
Contra: "Rude gate staff at Otopeni Airport insisting I place my hand luggage in the hold until I informed them I had priority seats. The whole concept of priority boarding goes out the window as boarding was via a bus"
Pro: "I hated everything"
Contra: "I will never fly with Ryanair again. They ripped off all my money. If I would have booked 2 tickets with British airways would have been much better and cheaper."
Contra: "It is unspoken that you have to print out your boarding pass at home or RyanAir charges you $45 dollars to print it out. Such a rip off. Plus they charge a fortune for your first bag! Not a cheap airline. NEVER FLY RYANAIR!"
Pro: "The flight attendants were very funny and friendly. They were proffessional and helpful."
Contra: "Misleading info on fees. A rip-off. I would never recommend RyanAir to anyone. Paid 50% more than quoted price."
