The flight was delayed several hours with no update as to when we would be taking off. We finally boarded the flight and waited over an hour on the phone for the bag crew to come and load our bags. After landing in Cleveland, both of our check in bags never showed up and are still missing. This is the worst airport and flying experience I have ever experience
There was a 2hr delay to an 8:40 departure. SUPER irritating. Had chosen an earlier flight so that these kinds of things wouldn't happen. Breakfast was poor a croissant and a yogurt. Not enough for an adult, I've had better on other international flights.

The seat in front of me had weird legs that made the room under the seat smaller than other seats around me. So you couldn't fit in the carryon fully under it as you could under the seat diagonally from me, however, this ended up being a huge plus since I could use the legs of this chair in front of me as stepping places to place my feet during flight. Since airline does not provide foot rest, it was great to have this to elevate the feet for a long flight. More considerations should be give to provide footrest or at least these kind of foot elevations."
Contra: "The dinner and breakfast were a bit disappointing, but not bad and not a deal breaker at all since the rest of the flight was wonderful. I noted comfort as ok, but that's applies to all airlines - the seats in economy and no footrest is very uncomfortable, but that's on all economy flights, so no deduction of points there. I do want to note that I needed a boarding pass at the gate and stood in line for quite a while (I was first in line) before I was even acknowledged by a lady who ended up helping me eventually. But she was so cranky! (there were 2 ladies - one busy helping the crew and putting around barrier - she was fine, the other with a head covering (putting this hear just to distinguish the ladies as one was doing a great job)- not sure what she was doing, but she plainly ignored me standing at the desk in front of her, I didn't say anything, just patiently waited until she acknowledged me, and then she printed the boarding pass for me, but she was way to cranky to be in the job that she is in - no need for that kind of attitude."

Also, it was like 9-10pm local time by this point so dinner made no sense! Then the lights were dimmed and people tried to sleep. The lights were turned on 1.5 hrs prior to landing to serve a light breakfast. So, 6.5 hr red-eye turned into about 3.5 hrs of actual sleeping time. I would've preferred to be left alone and given a bigger breakfast."

Who ever heard of a transatlantic flight that didn't have a movie? Make sure you download the app so you can at least watch the movies on your tiny screen."

Barely let my wife and 2 children in. The check in lady said you have to arrive 4-5 hours before flight depature and almost did not let them fly. Thankfully another attendant helped out.

I know planes get hit by lightning on average of once a year, but it typically does not take 3 to 4 hours to inspect and confirm the safety of the plane's electrical system. But perhaps better safe than sorrry!"

After they told us they did not have this item, another passenger from Russia sitting in 3A started complaining and they miraculously found the pancakes for this passenger. this leaves a bad impression about the service and not what you expect when you buy a business class ticket."

Well the flight from Warsaw to Berlin, operated by LOT was horrible! No snacks no drinks, not even water on a 2hour flight! Shame on you! I had my wedding gown with me and I asked one of the crew members to put it in one of the closets design for this. And in a broken English she told me 'ya there is a problem' and she showed me the closet, it was full with the crew luggage :( We ended up laying the gown on one seat that was empty! When we arrived at our destination and picked up our luggage we noticed that they broke one of the wheels. Overall very ugly experience with LOT!!!"

Contra: "The seating was absolutely HORRENDOUS. Even though I'm nearly 6'3" (close to 1.90m), I generally never complain about seating space or legroom, even on low cost flights. This particular TAP aircraft, however, despite looking quite new, had some of the most cramped seating ever. Additionally, the trays were minuscule (you could barely place the entire food tray the service during the flight, let alone have another drink at the same time on the tray). Also, on the inbound flight (this was the return one), the seats were fitted with a very simple and clever tablet-holding mechanism, so you could easily watch something on your table while eating your food (from a similarly small tray table). The seat back pockets do not have any material/fabric on the sides, so stored items could easily slip out sideways from the pocket. Shame to have such a good in flight service and to be a punctual airline if you're going to carry your passengers cramped like cattle in seats 'rivalling' the ones on Ryanair flights on 4-hour long journeys."

A few things were not that good this time. 1) First of all, the online check-in wasn't working until a few hours before the flight, and I didn't even give me the option to choose my seat. Once in the plane, I noticed plenty of empty seats in several areas of the plane. I could have had a much better seat. Also, the fact that the price of the luggage in the ticket is not included is insane! They let you know right at the boarding area. Another 100 plus dollars in addition to the 1,6000 that I paid for the ticket. Incredible!! And they only gave us 15 dollars voucher!! 2) There was a 2 hours delay due to a storm in the south of the USA. Although I am fully understandable with the fact that this situation is out of hands for the TAP company, is it in their hands the care and wellbeing of their passengers. As previoulsy stated, I received a 15 dollars voucher to use becasue of the delay. At any airport, for any decent meal, you will pay a minimum of 25-30 dollars. All items are more expensive. While waiting in the gate to board, we were not offered with snacks, water, etc.. additionally, no announements or updates at all. 3) I had a very uncofortable situation with one of the filght attenders. Male, very tall, dark hair and dark skin. When distributing dinner, I found the way he approached me very disrespectul, ironic and dismissive. ZERO customer services and he is actually the face of TAP in these planes. Unaceptable. I have to look all the way up to him, he wouldn't make an effort to band a bit (of course, not completely) to at least try to hear what I was saying. He was requesting me to speak loud but he would not make a minimum effort to get close to me. His demeanor and attitude made me feel very upsted... abuse of power... to the pooint that I ended up not taking the meal. No manners at all. He should understand that after hours of waiting (check-in usual time plus the 2 hours delay) we were all very tired. Particularly at that timeof the day. Some of us where up for since earlyi in the moring and you could tell that most of the passengers were exhausted. The second we got into our seat, we all used our blankets and try to sleep. He was not empathetic or councious about that. I felt very uncomfortable. Both of the girls that were also in the back area of the plane, were also lacking manners and customer services. I don't know.. other times was much better."
Pro: "The fact that I made my flight."
Contra: "In incompetence of the clerk that checked me in, and the fact that I was thrice charged for my bag, because he didn’t know how to use the computer."
Contra: "The plane was very small service was not good and the crew were not that friendly"

Pro: "Free food and drinks. Pillow and blanket and ear buds all ready on each seat! More spacious seating."
Contra: "No indication booking was discounted flight on kayak website! Charges for baggage very , very high!. Very bad border crossing as we waited in line for a simple passport stamp for 3 hours!!!!!!"
Pro: "Excellent layout, excellent service."

Contra: "The hospitality of the airline crew is very poor as they are extremely rude to their customers. The planes I flew on were very out of date and not comfortable for international travel. I have flown on many airlines, but these planes were by far the worst. Cheap price, for a reason. The seats didn’t recline, the food was terrible, no options were given for food, and the movies were pre-picked. No one had a choice in what they watched. Very outdated. I had 2.5 hours to board my connecting flight and they caused me to miss it. As I waited in the customs line entering Lisbon, I asked a TAP representative if I’d have to get out of the line up and go right through as my flight left at 2:10 pm. They said you will make it, stay in line. I get near the front of the line 2 hours later... hundreds of people were in this line and they only had 2/10 customs agents available!!! I ask another representative how far my gate is since my flight leaves in 30 min and she told me “no you missed it. but don’t worry others will be missing it too”. So no I did not miss it, you caused me to miss it cause I already asked if I would and you people told me no. I run to the gate, which has now changed to the other end of the airport, so I run to that gate and it is 10 min before the flight is to take off. I ask the desk agent at the gate and he tells me the flight has already left. Others had missed it too due to the insane customs line up. So the plane left 20 mins earlier than scheduled with only half it’s passengers..... unbelievable!!! When I went to the service desk they did not show any sympathy or apologetic behaviours whatsoever."
Pro: "The crew was very king"
Contra: "the seats were very uncomfortable because the backs were not adjustable"
Contra: "my luggage was opened somewhere along the way. My gift for my child was stolen. Ugly ! Very ugly !! I got home, I unzipped my bag and I do not have a pair of sneakers that were a gift for my baby and some other sweets, my luggage was half empty! The face of my disappointed kid broke my soul, that should not have happened."
Pro: "The check in was smooth and boarding was quick"
Contra: "We had problems with TAP up front related to baggage fares and them keeping the $85 I paid for my son who is 2 meters tall to be in an exit row and then assigned to a different seat. He was miserable for almost seven hours."
Pro: "It was a very comfortable flight and I love the dinner they served! Would fly TAP again."
Contra: "Boarding was refused at gate due to late arrival of previous flight which was also a TAP flight. No assistance to delay following flight or accelerate our deplaning even though the next identical flight was three days later."
Pro: "Friendly and helpful crew. Great food."
Contra: "had to pay bag fee, though website said 1 hold bag was included!"
Pro: "The flight was uneventful."
Contra: "The food was edible. The entertainment display was old. Not much leg room."
Contra: "As I keep metioning....you guys need to be more generous with the Victoria program. I fly you guys a minimum of 7 or 8 times a year, plus numerous partner flights, and what do I get? no free upgrades, 60,000 miles to become gold etc etc"
Pro: "The Magnum ice cream was a great touch."
Contra: "We thought that $35 per bag is a bit too much when other airlines are $25."
Pro: "Honestly I didn't like anything because before I boarded , I was charged for all my luggage . They said that tap changed there policy , how I suppose to know ? Why didn't it say anything while purchasing a ticket"
Contra: "I was charged for my 3 luggage . It's not fair . I still have the invoice , before ibbook the ticket it said that you get free luggage ."
Pro: "Seats were comfortable in economy although no one is ever happy with how little they recline, crew was friendly and helpful. Entertainment selection was larger than most airlines I've flown on."
Contra: "Flight left Toronto at midnight, the crew served a meal and it was about 2 hours after departure that the cabin lights were finally turned off. On an overnight, overseas flight, turn off the lights and service breakfast with a noon arrival like all the flights I've taken to London do."
Pro: "The food and air conditioning"
Contra: "I purposely got a seat in the front row for extra leg room next to my two friends whose tickets I paid for. The TV in my seat was broken and I therefore could not at all watch TV unless I moved to another seat. I ended up not being able to sit with my friends for the entire seven-hour flight. The flight was delayed multiple times. The first time it was delayed because they were doing an extra security search by hand in the Gated area awaiting to board the plane. I have never seen this in my life and it was definitely started. Then we were on board the plane for almost an hour before they made an announcement that they found a broken part on the plane and had to switch planes. It was all very fishy. Quite frankly that I want my money back."
Contra: "First flight was delayed by just a half an hour and we arrived in Portugal. We had a connecting flight to AMS with also TAP and had a two hour window to make the next flight with the same company (TAP). We were in line for passport and then security and talked to several TAP employees and they said we would be have time and wouldn't have a problem catching the second flight. Well, we got through the lines with 30 min before our next flight and they wouldn't let us on. Customer service and organization of the airline is really poor. The aircraft had minimal room and no entertainment. We got on our next flight five hours later and all they gave us was a $10 food voucher. So poorly managed."

Small seats means other passengers thoughtlessly take up your space. At least it’s a short flight.

Crew outside was helpful, i suggest AC have some men to lift suitcases from scale to belt and not have these women who r checking ppl in have to struggle to life suitcases frim scale ti belt-why aren’t men there to assist? AC need to provide some assistance in this regard. in-fight crew was plain and ordinary, nothing to write home about. Not friendly, just do what “we are here to do” period!"

Pro: "Many airlines have code share flights but it is better to buy ticket directly from the original airline as they keep on ignoring the code share flight bookings"
Contra: "Till last moment we were kept hanging if we will board or not as no seat number was allocated. I believe it was as we were from the code share airline not the real one"
Pro: "The tvs are awesome! They are new and have touchscreens that are actually well designed and can scroll etc. Resolution and sound are great, so I actually feel like I watched my movie and didn't just look at moving blurs with half the dialogue missing. Also the USB ports are great. And the brownie with the meal was delicious."
Contra: "Only one meal on a >9 hour flight, plus one snack which was an uninspiring-looking rectangle of cold pumpkin loaf (it tasted good, but after 7.5 hours in the air it'd be nice to get something more appealing). Other airlines give two meals. It's ridiculous that Air Canada insists on being so stingy with the food."
Pro: "Good flight from Toronto."

Contra: "Plane was small, seats not very comfortable, entertainment system was down. After traveling 24 hours it was not pleasant. Additionally, coming from Vancouver on a late arrival, no one helped expedite me to the flight. I had to leave International, clear immigration and Customs, then enter immigration and US Customs. When I told anyone I was possibly missing my next flight it was met with a shrug, as if it was just my problem. Not a good way to treat customers."
Pro: "Our flight was cancelled. Rebooked for two days later, causing us to miss our cruise to Alaska! Never again with Air Canada.So disappointed in missing this trip we had planned for a long time."
Contra: "No help in getting us to our cruise on time."

Pro: "For me this flight was great, I had a direct flight that otherwise.would have made me want to reconsider"

Contra: "Crew wasn't helpful and attentive, boarding staff in Toronto were blatantly rude to me, I watched as my luggage got handled aggressively, the plane was dirty with old food crumbs and such, my flight to Windsor got cancelled and accomadations were not met sufficiently."

Contra: "We did not make this flight due to the first flight being over an hour late. This caused us to miss our connection to St. Louis. While they rerouted others on the flight, they did not reroute us because we didn't check any luggage! Their reasoning was we had a chance to make the connection. But they made us wait in a line for 10 minutes to be told that despite our requests to go to the gate. By then it was too late. We then had to fly stand by to Chicago and stand by again to get to St. Louis."

Also when we are delayed for the airlines fault - customers should be given something - anything - a small voucher, or even a drink ect., this is not a weather issue. I think airlines have too much power making most terrible at customer service - air Canada is one of the worst ones."
Contra: "My luggage had not being delivered yet. Somebody decided not to located it to my conexion with COPA in Los Angeles. I am wondering if I could have access to my stuff before going back home in Vancouver. My family is waiting here for the gifts that I bought for them. I am feeling really embarrased with this situation."

Pro: "I honestly can't think of anything I liked, other than the plane arriving and leaving on time."
Contra: "The in flight entertainment is a joke, it's a 14 hour flight so why are there only 3 episodes of any tv show? The food was inedible, and beverages were limited to 3 choices coffee, water or juice. I was trying to sleep on the plane but every time a flight attendant would walk past me they would run into me (and I was very much within my seat) and wake me up. They also woke me up to ask if I wanted food twice. The seats were so uncomfortable. I'm an able bodied 20 something and if I am in this much physical pain from flying I can't imagine what an elderly person must feel like after flying Air Canada. The pillow that was provided gave me no comfort what so ever, it wasn't think enough to even offer some back support."

Contra: "Our first flight was cancelled 15 minutes before scheduled take-off. upon being bumped to another flight two hours later, that flight was delayed two hours after an issue during take-off. We remained on the plane while mechanic/engineering staff rectified the problem. We booked a flight to save time on driving. We would have arrived earlier had we drove. I understand things happen, but the airline eneds to take responsibility and show some good customer service. Aside from the pilot, no apology given, no reimbursement offered. Disappinting. Air Canada is now a last-resort option for a frequent flyer like myself."

I was hungry after all the unexpected wait plus the 4.5 hours flight to Chicago. I feel that the airline could offer passengers a meal after all the unexpected delays."

Contra: "if you get in a que, then the computer goes down , your dead, AC line will be 1.5 hours to get to rebook. then you have 2 day to stay before you can get out. if you decide to go on delta because staying 2 day in hotel is more expensive than buying a new ticket ac will not refund you. Air Canada is the least flexible airline in the world relative to refund."
