American airlines food was really terrible.

Pro: "The flight was quite comfortable."
Contra: "I find it hard work doing such long flights these days."
Pro: "The planes were well maintained. Good entertain emend choices. Food was decent too"

Pro: "The portion of my trip from San Francisco to Honolulu -- provided by United Airlines, not by Lufthansa -- was frustrating and uncomfortable: more than five hours in a small Boeing 737, which hardly permitted any reclining of the seats.and provided but limited in-flight services"

Contra: "This was an emergency trip to see my mother who was in the hospital. The flight was delayed so I had no option but to board the next day since I wouldn't be able to make it to the connecting flight in Frankfurt. They couldn't give me another connecting flight since it was all full. Because I booked my ticket only hours before my flight, they said it might not be possible to fulfil my meal request since there's a 24 hours cut off. However, now I had to cone back to the airport and take the next days flight which gave the airline more than 24 hours from my original meal request. I still did not get the meal I requested, the crew didn't know about it and didn't have any to spare. This was my first time flying Lufthansa, I probably won't try it again."
Contra: "Walking under rain from the plane to terminal. Not as good as Lufthansa was some years ago. Old planes."

Pro: "Flight attendants were great, friendly, courteous and responsive. The relaxation and mediation program was great! Boarding was fluent and easy."
Contra: "No matter what you try to order on the airplane is totally disgusting. If it's not overloaded with cheese and tomato sauce then it's overcompensated with spices (salt or chili). I will never understand why it is so hard to provide simple, fresh and enjoyable meals. Chairs in economy are rarely cleaned up and one can see on the cushions that they are worn out and have lost their padding making the seats very uncomfortable. There was no foot rest available (which is such a simple addition that helps a lot) and the "holder pocket" on the seat in front was a simple net completely useless. Tables were dirty suggesting they were never cleaned and disinfected. Knowing that the highest source of viruses are the tray tables and the pockets in front I would expect attention to be focused on those- it not only impacts the health of the traveler but more important that of the crew. Why is it so hard to think of this business two fold: make revenue but mostly be kind to humans."

Contra: "There is no one at Kayak to answer questions on weekends. Message says "call back during 'regular' business hours" but does not specify what that means, nor what time zone they are in. (BTW, most people travel on weekends so ya may want to consider providing customer service then...duh). When I finally was able to reach someone in order to upgrage to Premium Economy, they could not help me but said they would send an email with an answer to how much that would cost. The email never came. I will never book with Kayak again."

Rude, disgusting, disorganized. Took forever to board and disembark the aircraft. If I didn't have to fly to Cairo for work I would never take this flight again in my life. Not much you can do as an airliner though, maybe just warn the tourists about the flight."

Contra: "The birding officer didn't inform me about the visa requirements to cross from Dusslouf to Vinna airport. This caused a big problem for me in the airport, where I: 1- Wasn't allowed to catch my flight ti Vinnea and this was both financial and time lost for me. 2- I was locked in Dussluff airport for more than 14 hours, I was threatened to be sent back to USA or any other country. This caused physiological damage for me, as I been treated like an animal 3- I was asked to pay for my new ticket ( Dussloff - Istanbul-Amman )"

Contra: "- Delay > 2 hours and no info at gate at the time of planned boarding - unfriendly ground staff and chaotic check in - old 747, "entertainment 1970s standard - crew looked unkempt (like just out of bed), unfriendly to downright rude, my 85 year old mum was ignored repeatedly and ended up not getting enough fluids as a result - 1/8 crew members managed a smile on occasion - rushed meal "service", all they wanted was to disappear to sleep - crammed spaces - while it was announced "we have three different meal choices, you will have at least two choices" - ummm, no, it was pasta. Period. To be fair the pasta turned out ok. The morning dry ham and cheese bun was not, especially without any drink."

The flight was delayed 2h, no one to ask or to talk to, the carpet under my seat was ripped so my shoes were glued to the floor all the time and they got dirty, when I got to Edinburgh was so late I had to wait over 1h for a bus to get to Edinburgh 😑

There was a good process in place for checking documents at check in..staff were helpful a bit frustrating having to wait to queue for the gate no seats..so not great for older customers or those with kids

Friend tried to down load boarding pass in the morning of flight was not able as need to be done 24hrs before. 50 euro to get printed at airport outrageous. Perhaps you could Justify £10 but 50 euro!! Why do they try so hard to rip there customers off at every turn"

Contra: "On the check in process we fell force to pay for our seats, we bought the tickets (my wife and myself) in the same transaction and paid with the same card, the check in was made from the app, both at the same and they put us apart (row 6 and row 33) when in both cases were free seats next to us."

What next..a tariff for the toilet or to exit the plane..nothing would surprise me! 20kg isnt enough for a holiday...but just another excuse to charge more money. The on board staff never offered to help anyone struggling to find their seat or with their hand luggage. In fact the 2 girls at the back end of the plane were too busy bickering to notice anything. The space you get to sit in is ridiculous you can't even bend down in it. And the plane was delayed."

Contra: "1) my first issue is that my card was charged 2x before having to run it a 3rd time to guarantee my flight. I guess Kayak and Ryanair do not communicate as easily as other carriers. 2) I was charged $50 Euro at the counter for NOT checking in. I attempted to check in numerous times, but it was not allowing me to check in. I received a booking confirmation, but never received a confirmation ID that would have allowed me to check in on the flight. I would appreciate if Kayak would have a response to this?"

Contra: "I didn’t like the fact that there are lots of hidden fees, with the seat, luggage, etc. It is true that the ticket is cheap but paying the hidden fees adds up to the cost."
Contra: "Booked 3 flights all on Ryanair for a trip inside Portugal. The booking agent, Gotogate.com, and Ryanair left me deserted. Some error occurred and I received the same flight booking # for all 3 the flights. I discovered this when trying to retrieve my boarding pass for the second flight. Neither company fixed the problem and I could not board the flight. I ended up having to rent a car and drive to Porto (6 hours away). Neither company have anyone that can assist with these issues on the weekend. The worst experience I could have had on my birthday vacation."
Contra: "We attempted to cancel our reservations more than a week before our trip because my husband was hospitalized. Not with the flu or a broken arm, but a major and serious life threatening illness we are still dealing with. We provided numerous documents as proof of the absolute dire situation and they denied the request over and over again. I get that the tickets were "non-refundable" but at least offer vouchers, credit, or be totally a stand-up company and refund the tickets. It wasn't buyers remorse, trust me, we would have preferred to be in Portugal, rather than sitting in a hospital hoping and praying for his recovery."

Contra: "The plane arrived 12 minutes after we were supposed to have left. While a delayed flight isn't uncommon these days, there's usually at least an attempt at communicating that to the passengers. No such luck this time - we were all simply waiting and wondering."

After we finally got to where we were supposed to be half hour was said that came and gone then another 15 mins when we were moved back to boarding area. Another half hour finally got boarded then and after this was the usual great Ryanair experience."

Contra: "My wife and I was split up and ended up in middle seats of different rows and neither of us had people to either side of us. This is Ryanair trying to get you to pay for guaranteed seating the next time you travel. Ridiculous!!"

Contra: "I did an online check-in the day before flight and chose to allow the airline to choose my seat so I could save a bit of money. I had a connecting flight and had 1 hour layover when arriving in Amsterdam to get to my gate for flight to Dublin. I did not have boarding passes and was told I could get them at the Gate since I checked in online. Got to the gate, they said there was no record of me checking in online, so I would have to pay €50 per person (my husband and I) in order to get on the flight. I needed to get to Dublin so I handed over the money, then was told I couldn't not get on the flight and had to be rebooked for a flight 4 hours later. I then had to go to the ticketing desk where I was told my only option was to pay a fee of €200 (€100 per person) in order to rebook my flight. All in all I am very upset with how everything happened, I am out a ton of money. The original cost for both tickets was €87, and I paid an additional €200 on top of that just to get where I needed to go, on my questionable acts on behalf of the airline."
