$40.00 check in fee if not checking on line, even though we ALL have to check in at counter too. 2.50€ for a water, but at terrible exchange rate for Huf. Uncomfortable at best for 6 hours. Zero entertainment. Crew are nice😃
Mariana Bataus

Contra: "More leg room and reclining seats"
Pro: "- the food trays of seats of the plane are in such a way that you can lay your head on them and sleep. It’s really the most comfortable of all Continental flights I’ve experienced."
Contra: "- on board WiFi -"
Pro: "The leg space"
Contra: "The don't let you sit together unless you pay extra, it's absolutely absurd. Thay put us on the opposite side of the airplane."
Contra: "Uncomfortable seats"
Pro: "Extra legroom seats are a godsend (but that's applicable to any airline, not just Wizzair, although they do seem to have a few more of these than other airlines - low cost or not). Also, despite a 35 min. initial delay, we eventually landed only 15 min. later than the scheduled time."
Contra: "The boarding process at Gatwick was disastrous. There were only 2 agents, none of which spoke proper English. Also, one of them was busy checking each individual carry-on bag with unnecessary extra scrutiny, only to provide customers to the second agent, which was taking the payments for extra bags."
Contra: "Staff could of been friendlier. They would not give me a cup of water and said i had to buy a bottle."
Pro: "Once boarding started it was very fast and flight left shortly after"
Contra: "Seats are very uncomfortable"
Pro: "mi-a placut pretul"
Contra: "au transformat cursa aeriana intr-un butic"
Pro: "The crew was so helpful and nice"
Contra: "I was happy with everything"
Pro: "On time without any delay"
Contra: "Seats are terrible."
Contra: "I had priority and my partner who did not was on plane first! My suitcase was miles away from me (what caused delays on getting out) because next to my seat was not empty slots! After the bus took us to plane crew did not allowed us to use rare entrance (I was seat 37!)! That was chaos!"
Pro: "Clean aircraft with good on board staff. Flight departed on time and arrived early. Overall they are good value for a low cost carrier."
Contra: "Wizz are a bit disorganised at bag check in, disorganised with overhead storage. Don't like the random seat assignment used if you don't want to pay the high price for assigned seats."
Pro: "All and all great value for the money"
Contra: "I went up to the check in desk 4 hours prior check since this was a connecting flight.I asked the employee when can I check in,she told me 1 and a half hour prior boarding, when I walked back the same person told me I have to pay 35 euros for not checking in online.I told her that I have been flying for about 20 years but I have never been charged for checking in at the airport and I also told her she should have told me when I asked her hours before. She just ignored me and gave me a shitty attitude at the Frankfurt airport.I was expecting a professional costumer service, like that I'm being used to by other airlines, but it was a total disappointment."
Pro: "The price"
Contra: "The borsing from terminal 1 is should be highlight The man in the check in and bording wad not nice at all. He didn't answer any question. They took our hand bag. We couldn't take it to the plan and no one explaon why."
Pro: "The price"
Contra: "The check in was not opened on time The bordibg was not possible on time"
Pro: "We got to our destination."
Contra: "There was a problem with their website that was out of our control, that didn’t allow us to print boarding passes and we were charged at the airport even though we had proof we tried and were not able through no fault of our own"
Contra: "Lost luggage. 3 days since and still no luggage. And they don't have a customer service phone number that I can call. Very dissapointed. I guess that's what you should expect from a low cost flight company. I will never book a flight with them again."
Contra: "Not even a roll for a 5 hour flight! They ran out and then wanted to charge £3.50 for a coffee when they ran out of food to even buy! Staff were not friendly at all."
Pro: "The crew was very nice. The flight was ok"
Contra: "Not much of a food choice.."
Pro: "There wasn't any delays, perfect landing"
Pro: "Cheap flights, priority boarding."
Contra: "No meal included, no entertainment provided"
Contra: "My husband was seated in row 2 and I was seated in row 29, even though there were many spare seats in blocks of two and three that we could have been sat in; then I was forced to put my carryon luggage in the hold, meaning I had to wait ages at the baggage reclaim on arrival, and was late for my air BnB check in. When I booked my flight I deliberately chose not to check any luggage, spent time planning what to take so that it would fit in a carryon bag, and measured out my liquids into small bottles so that they passed the liquids restrictions: all effort and time spent in vain due to Wizz Air. I was furious!"
Pro: "Space. Priority Boarding"
Contra: "Strong bad smell. One hour late for departure."
Pro: "Mobile app is very good, but just allow you to download boarding pass on PDF version right at the moment of the check in"
Contra: "They didn't let me flight. Even that I did the online check in 24 hours before they didn't send me the boarding pass on PDF format via email. Also there were no way to download it from the mobile app or the website. I was in the airport 2 hours before and they didn't want to print it for me even that I showed all the online check in confirmation. They requested that I pay €35 Euro for the airport print. I submitted a complain and hope to get a credit or refund. Confirmation code: L3QZWB"
Pro: "The staff - friendly, polite,, helpful and a nice uniform! No silly uncomfortable and unsuitable as in some airlines. Reasonably clean. Good price for a glass of wine and pac of dry fruit."
Contra: "Unable to understand tanoi messages - mumbling & too fast. Could not make out most of what staff said including why there was an hour's delay and safety procedures. If i were to bring an oversized and too heavy handluggage on board no doubt I wouldn't get away with it ! However the number of large and heavy bags passengers brought on board last night was ridiculous . It was a real struggle for people to find lockers for.their bags. Some people had quite a few. Delays take off and creates unnecessary chaos. Couldn't understand why I had to pay to check in online, obviously missed that when bookrd. Although I recall reading that it will cost if you check in the airport- so most likely my error. No facility or button to print boarding pass once checked in. No contact us button - I would like to change seat I booked for return but cannot see how to do this on line."
Pro: "The staff and flight were top knotch . Could not fault them ."
Contra: "Nothing to dislike ."
Contra: "Very very routh unprofessionally and disrespectful check in person . I did not receive by boarding pass through the email and was charged with 35 euros to have my boarding pass printed ! The clerk raised his voice and was disrespectful to me and other customers. The flight itself was ok, nothing special but not bad either."
Contra: "Lost our baggage, took a day to get it. Paying to sit next to your travel partner is ridiculous."
Contra: "the fact the crew arrived to the gate after the planned boarding time causing us to stand too long on the stairways. check in via the app (using iphone 6) was a failure. i was certain i booked with extra luggage - at the check in i was told i didn't. from the reservation confirmation it is not clear what i paid for & there are no means to contact you - email, on line chat - you know the regular things every company today use to proivde customer services which is not only "give us you money". too bad this is WIZZ Air"
Pro: "Super easy online check-in, comfortable plane, lovely crew"
Contra: "Waited a bit in a long hallway waiting for the last flightload of passengers to deplane."
Pro: "Arrived only slightly delayed"
Contra: "They made my boyfriend pay 35 gbp for a case 5 cams longer than their stipulation. Yet, lots of other passengers didn't have to pay. Sheer discrimination. Crew is unfriendly and refused to help me place my bag in over head locker. Really poor professional s"
Pro: "Nice crew"
Contra: "My bag was 6cm too big, so they charged me at the airport. After checking their website, the airport overcharged me, and the gestapo who was checking had less customer service manners than my old French teacher, she was a...!"
Contra: "Crampt seats, mob to board the plane, hour delay with no reason given."
Pro: "Cost was ok but you get into the trap where every turn is a cost option. The cost can climb to the point where other scheduled flights compete."
Contra: "The web site is laborious. Checking in was 48hrs prior and frankly you should be able to choose what remaining seats are available as a no cost option. You can choose prior to the 48hrs at cost (i was never given option on a 3rd party site when i booked!) Checking in should be longer than 3 hrs! Because if you book a exec lounge which is air side you lose 1.5 hrs as a minimum in the process of checking in luggage and security checks. Lose .5 hr+ to go to gate and you get 1hr only when you pay for 3 hrs! Where is the sense in that? Its miss-selling at its worst as everyone is complicit. Flight left 20min late for no apparent reason Seats are a bit stone age and hard although only a short flight my ar*e went to sleep before I could"
Pro: "Non stop"
Contra: "Very late. Disorganized boarding. Seating and shortage of luggage stowegev"
Pro: "Actual in-air flying experience was smooth."
Contra: "Due to technical issue with plane, passengers were delayed about 15-20 minutes on the tarmac in a crowded, hot shuttle bus with ineffective air conditioning and almost no fresh air coming in."
Pro: "Horrible company never book with them"
Contra: "No hand luggage Normal luggage is the most expensive in the market ! No customer services ! Do ur self a fav and don't book it"
Pro: "The weather was nice."
Contra: "The boarding was announced 30 minutes before the beginning of the procedure. All the passengers were standing in the queue, without any possibilities to sit down. At Luton there is no connection among the announcements and the actual status of the boarding of a particular plane."
Contra: "Ryanair announced that we could postpone the flights without any cost due to corona virus and when I tried to reach them/to change the flight date the change tax was still there."
Contra: "The crew can be nicer"
Pro: "Direct flight"
Contra: "Our suitcase were lost"
Pro: "That the place reached safetly to its destination"
Contra: "Rome Line to checkin started at the entrance of the airport with no Ground staff attention or clear line marked people were fighting and cutting each other . Check in process approved our luggage for hand cary as we paid for it in advance. In the gate they suddenly decided the luggage was 1 cm larger then agreed, refused to bring a measurement tape and charged us 50 Euro in addition to send the luggae in the plane rather than hand carry. Need less to say that in the flight to Rome our luggage was approved for hand carry so clearly Rome staff were into making money.. Planes were late to take off and 1 hour late to land (that from a total of a 3 hour flight ) although not announced . In summary ground staff experience was awaful and made us decide to not fly with Ryanair air again"
Pro: "No good things to say about this flight or booking."
Contra: "Flight was delayed for more than 4 hours with no prior warning and staff would not explain why. Even tried to charge me 60€ each for not booking in 2 hours early when they knew the flight was delayed. By far the worst flight I have ever taken."
Pro: "Absolute nothing!"
Contra: "Delays and no information given about gate change. A mess"
Pro: "The crew was very warm and the seats had great room."
Contra: "There was no entertainment."
Contra: "An hour delay for take off, we were trapped in the plane"
Contra: "We got the feeling that the price is low but the company will do all it takes to FAIL the customer and make him pay more. For example, the customer must check in online. if not done properly the cost is about 100 euro more, AND the online check in procedure is not working that well, you need to press buttons several times in order for it to work (and I have a good phone), and if you give up in the middle it will cost you. More on that we did a mistake and did not purchase luggage for the way back, when we went to the desk to buy it (after standing more than 2 hours in the check in), we were told to pay 40 euros, where the price is 23 if paid online. we asked to talk to a manager and get the regular price for the suitcase, the cashier said "no problem i can call him, but then you will miss the flight..." and in the meantime there were still lots of people in the check in line... The service is very slow and not pleasant, and the crew always give you the feeling you are not ok. I understand the price is low and this is a lo cost flight, but this should not happen no matter what is the price."
Contra: "They charge Hugh fees for everything. Didn’t even bother to offer water inflight. There absolutely osavings"
Pro: "Very efficient."
Contra: "Long line; small seats."
Pro: "The staff did the best they could with what they had I think"
Contra: "The boarding was chaotic and slow. The flight was delayed. Never a fan of having to pay for even just water (especially after an hour on the tarmac waiting to take off)"
Pro: "Crew was great."
Contra: "Carry on policy. They should just make everyone check bags at ticketing ans save us the drama of doing it at the gate."
Pro: "I like checking the carry on bag"
Contra: "I paid twice for 1 bag"
Pro: "The landing"
Contra: "All, my wife needs a glass of water to take a pill and she was refused."
Contra: "I was trying to check in in the past 24 hours. The system wouldn’t allow me and I ended up paying 50 Euros extra only to check in what I had already paid for in full in the first plCe. Then, just to top off the wonderful morning - I got an agent whose attitude was extremely rude and poor to inform me correctly what was the next steps and procedure. Finally, both my hand bags carry on get checked in and now I am stuck at the airport waiting for two little bags that could’ve easily got on top of my compartment where I was."
Pro: "I can't think of a single good thing in that experience"
Contra: "Ryanair acted like a dust Stucker of money. Not only on the way forward they forbidded only flights from Israel (!) to bring any hand luggage at all without purchasing the priority boarding, and people were allowed with a small hand bag only (since the priority tickets finished) , but on the way backwards, after the entire airplane bought the priority ticket, the crew of ryanair acted in such a discriminating way and banned people that exceeded the bag check with less than 2 cm! It seems like the crew were determined to collect at many 50euro fines as possible from the passenger because they insisted very impolitly and brutally to measure each luggage from all possible sides, and even the luggage that fitted, they found excuses to fail them. I've rarely experienced such humiliating vision, especially due to the fact that everyone were forced to purchase the extra priority boarding and you'd expect the company to try and keep the customers, not drive them away. I can just say that with all the fines and extra payments requested by them, the total price of the flight was 100euro more expensive than the price of El AL or alitalia, same timing and with a meal and big suitcase included. All this, without mentioning the bad attitude of the crew and the extreme uncomfortability of the chairs (also purchased, obviously). To summarize, this was a very bad choice, with I will not repeat again."
Pro: "There is a lady at the gate before we board the flight from rome (FCO) to tel aviv who is particularly nasty. She scrutinized and had every single person on line put their bag to be measured. She even did that with small back packs!!! Unfortunately for HER nobody had to pay extra for luggage!!! It is really the attitude. i paid a lot of money for my flight as much as a regular fligh neary $400 and yet I was still NOT allowed to take luggage. Its ridiculous!!! Had I booked with a regular airline, I would have paid similar fees and have a bag to put on the plane . Its time that Ryan air stop taking advantage of people and allow some luggage just like everyone else does. It doesn't have to be 50 lb but it can be a few pounds!!!"
Pro: "the cost"
Contra: "Boarding was late in 30 min."
Pro: "I ultimately got to my destination."
Contra: "- Was charged left and right until I paid twice for my ticket. I even paid to get my boarding pass. - Boarding was a mess. Passengers were blocked in a hot area, then in the stairs for an hour before boarding - Flight was an hour half late - Flight crew was rude and systematically failed to resolve a seat assignment problem. They mocked a passenger instead of admitting they were wrong about not checking for the error in the seat assignment - More of an annoyance; Flight crew was constantly selling stuff, from drinks to cheap fragrance and scratch lottery cards. In summary, Ryan Air is a scam and an embarrassment to the industry."
Contra: "We already paied "name change fee"100euro. But We had to charge 100euro again. I dont understand why they did"
Contra: "My American friend and myself were flying Rome to Palermo. The boarding line was chaotic without any sense of order. The attendant had my friend and I make sure our baggage fit into their container, along with others. An Italian man who's bag was clearly wider, was let through free of charge. They asked my friend if she was Italian and when she responded in English they said she needed to pay the 55 Euro fee. The only other people who paid besides my friend and I was a family of four from England even though it was clear that other larger bags were let in. Save your frustrations and pay extra for a more professional flight!"
Pro: "The Price"
Contra: "Since the moment of the Check in at the Counter. The attendant was extremely UNPOLITE. Insisting that I must have brought a printed boardng pass. I had to explain several times, that I tried to do it on line and even bought a few more things for my ticket, but I could not get a Ticket to print because the system kept on telling me that as the passport was not european I had to go to a Counter. The attendant was not happy with my answer and kept askng for it. I then told him that as a customer of Ryanair I can not manage your system. And he even replied by saying. Qoute " I have nothing to do with Ryanair. Then at the moment of boarding. Once we were let through BP control, then The crew kept us waiting in different stages All in All around 45 mins, which of course lead to delay in flight. Then on board, the crew was having difficulties with the service even to the point that they could not take our payment with an International Credit Card"
Contra: "Despite meeting the required measurements, my friend and I had to pay for our carry on bags at the gate. We were told at the check-in that our bags were ok. This is unacceptable and cost an additional 110 Euros. There was zero flexibility, and our bags DEFINITELY would have fit. Additionally, there were others with same sized carry on luggage that were allowed to stow it in the overhead bins. The "money saved" with Ryanair is not worth the inconsistency or headache."
Pro: "It would have been good to know in advance that checking a bag would cost half as much as the flight itself. But why did I have to check in online then stand in line to be told to stand in a second line to pay for my bag only to stand in the same line again to actually do the check in? Why? When it was done I asked the agent where to go to find the gate and he only waived on the next customer. I didn't seem to be worth his attention."
Contra: "Customer service"
Pro: "Not much after having to pay 200 extra euros"
Contra: "We had to pay the normal check in fee (50 euros per person), this one was on me, since I didn't pay enough attention, I don't get why it has to be 50 per person though. We also got to pay 100 euros for our luggage (two carry on bags that had no issue in other airlines). To our surprise, the bags didn't fit in the metal cage they use to size baggage. We ended up paying since we had to fly but then when we were boarding we saw other passengers with the same bag size as ours, so this was really upsetting."
Pro: "Seat space was comfortable"
Contra: "Flight was delayed, boarding process was extremely slow. The flight attendants were very rude. No space to walk through the middle of the plane if more than 1 person was up."
Pro: "Crew was great, flight was on time and arrived at destination early."
Pro: "I didn't like anything."
Contra: "I had booked a flight from Rome to Seville in either August or September 2016 for November 10th. I paid for the flights then. Two days before my flight while I'm on vacation, Ryanair sends me an email saying that I must check in online or I will be charged 45 Euro per passenger. This was really inconvenient because who wants to be online while on their vacation? But nonetheless, I did it. Their website sucked so I had to get chat customer assistance. Whenever I made any progress their website would keep sending me back to the beginning of the process. I tried for two days. Finally the day before the flight I was able to complete it and I was charged for my baggage and fast track option for each of us. There were three of us. They sent me email confirmation showing that they charged my credit card for the luggage and the fast track option. Together this came out to about 107 Euro. So I thought ok but at least I checked in and I will be fast tracked because I was charged for it and paid. To my surprise when we get to the airport the customer service people said that I only paid for luggage but did not "check in." I asked how could that possibly be since I had been charged and paid and they said that if I didn't pay the 45 Euro each right there, I couldn't get on the flight. I had no choice but to pay another 135 Euro so I could make my flight. Disgusting scammers."
Pro: "I liked nothing about the airline, the service was horrible everyone was rude . They changed time and gate with no notice as the entire flight was running around airport looking for flight/ help..."
Pro: "Absolutely nothing you should maybe bring up your prices and stop killing people on there bags!"
Contra: "Very upset about what size the bags are defendant and I witness that Italians were being put a tag on it gone through but myself who I am in American and two other different couples of Asian we were charged and I try to say something to your workers and I thought they were very Rood and I just think that I would personally never fly Ryan air again"
Contra: "Many adds and sales going on during flight"
Pro: "Not much"
Contra: "We were stuck on the plane for about 40 minutes after takeoff with no AC because they couldn't start the engines? I am not really sure if that was the reason they gave us zero communication..."
Pro: "Great flight"
Contra: "Selling many things on board"
Pro: "Boarding was very slow. I didn't understand why practically everyone was in line at least an hour before the doors opened, since we all had an assigned seat! On the way back from Rome they changed the gate 3 times up until 45 minutes before boarding. I had never experienced so many gate changes."
Contra: "They wouldn't consider a change in ticket. Nothing said that it was non-refundable. I had the wrong date and over the phone they simply said the tickets are non-refundable. Click"
Pro: "the staff did their job and were accommodating. The plane brought me from Rome to Barcelona"
Contra: "I purchased a ticket from Ryan air the night before my flight. My first Ryanair purchase. When I arrived at the airport they held my boarding pass until I paid an additional 45 euro for a process they call checking in. The checking in process allows them to require the customer to print their own border pass and enter identifying information at least 2 hours before departure, passing inconvenience to the customer for profit. The email that contains instructions for checking in provides first the confirmation number in bold letters, then a receipt of the purchase followed by a page of advertisements and sales offers. After scrolling past these solicitations one can find a link to checking in in fine print. So far, no other low cost airline I have taken abides by this practice. (Spirit, frontier, American, United, JetBlue, southwest etc.) The boarding process did not allow for efficient queuing causing a line to form that was a couple hundred meters long that extended down the main airport walkway. The final result was a delay of 45 minutes to 1 hour after scheduled departure time resulting in a delay of transportation to city center and any connections."
Contra: "Over charged and charged for boarding pass"
Contra: "They lost my baggage and 12 days later I still have no bag. The whole trip I had no clothes while trying to enjoy my vacation and had to endure the stress of having all of my things lost. When they filled out the missing claim report they had written down the wrong tag number. When contacting ryan air they have been no help and also their aviation services. I cannot even talk to anyone to change the number. I am disgusted at how I am being treated in this whole process and this is the most unacceptable thing I've ever been through."
Pro: "My experience was terrible from the beginning of it to the end."
Contra: "They have the worst customer service. Though we checked in advance and arrived nearly 3 hours prior to our flight, we still struggled to have a smooth flight experience, their communications skills and attitude is unprofessional. They pick and choose who they want to assist with manner & respect. It's my first flight with them & it couldn't have been any worse. Their carry on policy was radiclious! I had the smallest carry on than any one in that flight, but my bag had hard corners & I didn't want to squeeze it into their measurement to avoid damage, but they wouldn't listen or even try to comprehend as I try to explain to them. They seem to upset almost all the passengers on that flight. Their boarding process was very an organized & untimely. Unfortunately I have two other flights booked with them and if I had time and if it wasn't so expensive to book last minute flights, I wouldn't histate to cancel it and fly with different airlines."
Contra: "There is nothing include in the price other than your seat. If you have luggage its an extra wich wasn't specified when I booked the flight. For water or coffee you have to pay on the flight... No wonder they say they are cheap"
Pro: "Flight was fine; took off almost on time and landed fine. Service was cordial"
Contra: "Not used to flying this airline. Their business practice calls for 45 euros/passenger check in fee if not done online prior. With 4 of us traveling, that just added 180 euros. Then, one of our carry-ons was deemed too big, had to be checked-in for another 50 Euros. The flight was not full and the carry-on could have easily fit in the cabin where there was plenty of space left. Overall the staff felt sorry, knew it was an expensive proposition to just have a piece of paper (i.e. boarding pass), and late checked in suitcase. We will certainly avoid Ryannair all we can when traveling in Europe next time around."
Contra: "Ticketing staff was terrible at Rome (FCO). We were on vacation so couldn't print our boarding passes at home and the online check-in was not working on our mobile phones so we sat in line with our luggage to where we thought we would be able to print our boarding passes and check our luggage / pay for any weight overage (just like LAX or any other airport). The woman at the counter rudely told us she couldn't help us and to get in a completely different line to A) pay for our luggage, but B) charge us $15 each to just to PRINT our boarding passes. To top that off she measured our luggage at X weight and told us to go pay for that and when we returned (20 min later) she not only had weighed our luggage wrong, she insisted we get back in that same line and pay for the overage that SHE complete weighed incorrectly. On top of that, we weren't able to print our boarding passes at the counter she suggested and she became increasingly more stubborn. Finally, after repeated attempts to have this woman help us, she relented and printed our boarding passes out and sent our luggage through. We made our flight (even after she told us the wrong gate too) but barely and not without sprinting through the airport to make up for lost time she had cost us by not doing what she could have done right from the start. NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN WILL WE BE FLYING WITH THEM. Low fairs = even lower experience. Grade: F"
