The airport at Bucharest is a nightmare. Rude agents at the Delta partners desks and no directions for finding the correct place to go. Boarding at Amsterdam took over one and one half hours by the time we were sent through three security lines at the gate. No explanation for why we were herded through one line and then sent to another and then finally through another security procedure where they wiped us down for something. Atlanta was probably normal for there. All three legs of the flight were late but I did make it home after a very frustrating and exhausting 24 hours. At this moment I feel as if I will never go anywhere again,.

Late gate change. Delta’s gate 37 is actually gate 24B- of course it is because it’s LAX. Delta staff acts as if 37=24B is the new math and we are stupid to not know this conversion. Delta staff acts surely and borderline hostel. Not sure if this is LAX or Delta’s culture. Either way, it stinks.

The check in process here in Phoenix was horrible. Incompetent agents, lack of staff, management indecisive, and lack of any urgency for passengers whose flights were set to leave. The flight crew were tired and stressed though that could be Delta's fault. The pilot was a pro! Thank you for the smooth flight!

KLM flight sucks! Not very active about telling passengers to put in their mask over the nose. 🙄

All 8f rhe main dishes in business class had cumin or other sharp spices which I can not tolerate

There was some confusion at the Lufthansa Service Center in the Frankfurt airport. The guy there gave me the wrong information about boarding passes for my connecting flight that led to a lot of running around. But the flights themselves were fine. Staff were helpful. Food leaving Germany was great, but food leaving the US was mediocre.

Expected A320neo as per the booking, got a 28 years old A321. Still no food service. Not impressed at all this time by Lufthansa.

Final leg of our long journey was from ORD to AUS and it was good

I ended up calling the U.S. service center at 1am local time to rebook...only 3 hours before I needed to leave for the airport. It took an hour - which I paid for at direct dial international rates - to find a flight. I'm very grateful for the U.S. service rep who was kind and helpful. She was the one bright spot in this poorly handled situation."

Then there was no sign for where we should go since upper deck on 747 so we went in "economy" line as indicated on ticket and then was sent to correct line when we got to the front, wasting more time. The seatrs were the most uncomfortable I have ever beeon on for a long flight. I also paid extra to be in the exit row, to have people constantly congregating in front of us.The food was also mediocre."

Even when I was awake it appeared I was being overlooked, ignored and left out of complimentary services I saw other receiving....my bad for not asking to be noticed."

Contra: "Due to a computer malfunction we were stuck on the tarmac for some time, when it was decided to find a new gate to return to. /The tech crew eventually gave the all clear and upon returning to the tarmac, the same computer malfunction occurred, and again we had to return to the gate. This was all totaled 2.5 hours on the Tarmac. Finally, some 5 hours late we departed Miami in a different plane. Upon arrival in Phoenix, the captain wearily announced that there was no ground crew awaiting us, so we had to wait some time on the tarmac there to disembark. Never before had I heard a airline captain encourage the passengers to write a letter of complaint to his employer."

Contra: "Did not fly out of Ontario, I was being led to fly out of LAX since there was a delay. Ended up flying out of John Wayne Airport."

Contra: "We gate checked our stroller and carseat intending to pick them up at the gate when we land. This is something we do every flight we take with no issue, but despite the gate agent confirming that the items would meet us on the jetway, when we landed, we were informed that we would need to pick them up in baggage claim. This meant that instead of having our infant sleeping in his car seat as we spent an hour + going through customs, we had to carry a crying baby around the entire time. In addition to the fact that we asked the gate agent told us the wrong thing, instead of being handled with care, the stroller and car seat were sent down the baggage claim carousel with all of the other bags, getting banged up. This was incredibly frustrating and a terrible customer service experience."

Also, the push by crew to "valet check" carry in luggage was too aggressive, especially since there was ample space to store luggage above the seats, then having to wait 10 minutes or more to retrieve luggage at entryway while being concerned about connecting flights was an example of a poor system for serving passengers when a flight is let."

Contra: "Checking in was quite annoying because BA canceled our return and over the phone but we still had to transfer all our information upon checking. Boarding rather chaotic. Random searches were not organized. Seats were okay. Food just edible. Mostly the staff was polite and there was one attendant in coach who was very pleasant. Shoulder length blonde hair, she was genuine and cheerful. It was an okay flight, but my experience was more comfortable and the feeling of being dealt with as a person was more evident on my flight to London w BA. I appreciate that the flight went well but American Airlines still has a long way to go in customer genuine service and experience."
Pro: "Unlike my previous BA LHR-PHX flights, this one was in a 787. The humidity is much better in a 787. It makes a huge comfort difference in a 10-hour flight. As always on BA, the food was very good."

Contra: "In Dubai, British Air won't allow you check in more than three hours prior to flight time. Since you can't check in, you can't go through security. Since you can't go through security, you can't get to the actual terminal (where all the stores, restaurants, lounges, etc are). Therefore, if you arrive at the airport too early. you're stuck in the outer holding area prior to the check in area. Nothing to do. Nowhere to go. Still weighted down with all your bags. A real bummer. Once you're allowed to check in, it takes about 30 minutes to get to the real terminal (check in, emigration, security, train ride, etc). The flight starts boarding one hour prior to departure. This leaves about 90 minutes to make it through the entire terminal and get to the gate. Any extra time can be spent looking at all the things you could have enjoyed if you could have checked in earlier. Since nobody including British Air told this in advance, we ended up twiddling our thumbs for eleven hours in the outer holding area."

Contra: "Seats in coach did not have much width or leg room. I don't like the policy of buying a flight and having to pay for a selected seat - that smacks of bait and switch. I know everybody is doing it, but it's tacking on extras once the committment has been made and that is low. The boarding process in London was horrible. queuing up everybody then telling them the general boarding is "over there". The lines should be more well-defined and single file to avoid bunching up. There was plenty of room to form lines, but the stanchions were not in place. Poorly executed. Also, there are FAR too many priorty boarding classes. People had to jump lines and go around barrier tapes to get to their positions in line when their priority class was called. Once on board, the crew did a fine job, but the boarding area is completely screwed up."

Contra: "We ran 2 hours and 10 min. over schedule getting from London to PHX. I can't understand why because pilot never said we were running late. When we landed we weren't told about the 2hr 10 min. time overage, but my sister said the plane reversed course around Iceland for a while, then turned around again and got back on track, but the PHX cell lot flight tracking board never said the flight was delayed or running late. She waited for me to get out of the airport an additional 3 hours. Luggage took a LONG time to get to the staging area and we had no clue what the problem was. It seems a simple task to put the PHX luggage in one area of cargo, and luggage going on to another destination in another area so 1st off clients could get their luggage and leave. There was a lot of luggage on the carousel that didn't get picked up. Very poor on the ground crew's part. When I have been in the air for 10 - 12 hours, I want to get my luggage and get home. Customs was a breeze compared to getting my luggage. BA lost my luggage at Heathrow on the way to Prague, and on the return had problems getting luggage to the passengers WAITING at the airport. You need to address how you handle customer luggage."
