Qantas and Emirates flights were awesome, the timing of dimming lights to encourage sleep was great and the food service and timings were perfect. bathrooms were clean and enough legroom in economy
All up to great standard for Economy seats. Appreciated careful approach to COVID protocols and efficient service throughout. Also minimum delays at Dubai. Will definitely consider Emirates first for next UK/Europe trip! Only improvement could be the breakfasts being too starchy - too many breads, rolls etc, otherwise good.
Pro: "I was stopped at gate check in and taken to one side as passport security had reported that I was intoxicated. I was badly injured in the armed forces and have lost my hearing which affects my balance. I asked for an aisle seat as I'm a big guy as s personal trainer. But was given seat E. Next to a huge obese guy. He slept whole journey, must of had nightmares and jumped and banged me repeatadly. I had the first meal, which was not great but edible. I couldn't eat it properly as I couldn't move my left arm due to the blob Sat next to me. I asked the stewardess to wake me at the meal times so I could get more food. She didn't. Not once. I couldn't even get out the seat to go toilet or get any of the help yourself stuff outside the toilets due to the fat blob I was put next too. Totally disgusted with the whole flight and crew when everytime I've used the same company before it was excellent."

Luckily we were upgraded during check in. Check in was awful, they checked in 4 people in front of us roughly in 20 minutes in MLE. It felt like waiting for forever."

If the airlines didn't allow more than 7 kilos carry on, they should have weighed it at the beginning of my trip since I had lots of room left in my check in and would have adjusted the luggage."

After going through the whole security screening process to enter the departures area (I boarded in Singapore), the whole security process is performed again to get to the gate. Why do I and my carry-on luggage need to be checked twice? Once at the gate, all passengers are herded like sheep into an area that has insufficient seats for the number of passengers, so many are left to stand or sit on the floor. If the airline wants to use a plane that carries 500+ passengers, then use a gate that can accommodate that number."

I would like to suggest that a crew member should come out and organize the way people are going to be boarding. They can say something like, "seats # A-C can you place stand on the left and Busniness Class on the right" instead of having everyone crowd to the front and be pushing each other. Or have those rope lines like they do at banks and make the people form a line."

That was a wonderful trip. Staff are courteous, Doha airport is awesome and flight is very clean. Asian vegetarian food stated okay but could be improved.

It was a pleasure to travel with Turkish Airlines. Excellent food, entertainment, and staff, not to mention the little pouches with basic necessities for the flight and the safety bags. It really gives you the feeling that this company cares for the comfort and safety of their clients.

When time came other crew member served us completely ignorant of our request. We were served flash of some animal. We did not want to make a scene but people around were were also bothered. We came out hungry at the other end"
Pro: "The rear exit of the plane. The cabin crew were very attentive, almost too much. I brought my cat and she didn't get to sleep much. I appreciate that the attendants wanted to visit with her and give her their attention but it kept her from sleeping and woke me up. Since she had no proper place to use the bathroom she needed to be sleeping to keep her body clock in order."
Contra: "HOT AIRPORT AND PLANE...no overhead fan on the plane to cool off. Food not very tasty. My seat was switched after it was reserved to accommodate another passenger without my knowledge. The reason was not a valid one."

I was told the flight had departed even though it was still 25 minutes before flight time. I then had to go to ticket sales where they charged me $425 dollars for the 80 minute flight to Bucharest. In the US, I would have been put on the next available flight fee of charge. I will never fly Turkish Airlines again."

That was really annoying. Only after one more complaint I was offered some kosher (and now really good) meal instead."

There was already a group forming a line at zone 4 for a good 15mins and another group created another line just 5mins before boarding and the 1st group had to re-queue. A few of us voiced out to the floor crew but they did nothing. Earphones. Could be supplied first since the flight is suffisent for a movie.
Delays. Endless walking at Schiphol, most exits closed. No staff or signs.
Nice flight but from Entebbe to Amsterdam they didn’t get me what I requested for the baby.

Contra: "I had paid for an upgrade to sit in the front of the cabin with extra legroom (row 14A). When I boarded a man sat it my seat. He had not paid for the upgrade, but the crew let him stay in my seat. I had asked him to social distance but he continued to sit right behind me bo matter which seat I moved to. He argued with the crew until they gave up and let him stay. They did not check his boarding pass or ask him to move to his assigned seat I found a different seat away from him but I don’t see the point in paying for extra legroom when the crew let’s people who haven’t paid for it sit it those seats. I felt harassed by the man and was very uncomfortable the whole flight. I am considering my next step, I think I should at least receive a refund for the upgrade I paid for."

No touch, no 1/8 inch audio jack (it has the old 3 holes one). Wifi for streaming freezes every other second. Just make a face lift to the plane, everything else is good."

This was so rude and there is no way to get back into customs area. If we paid 200 for bags I expect them to arrive on time. I’m asking for a refund of the baggage fees."

The ground staff in Madrid were very dis organized .Passengers were in line to check in , and they were told , they were in the wrong line, we stood there for longer than 2 hours . Other passengers were going to Gatwick ,instead of Heathrow , the ground staff had to shout for them , since they were dispersed all over. causing a lot of turmoil all over.The ground staff had a very limited use of english , was she was just signing with hands gestures so as to were to stand or to go .
My "virtual" flight was okay. In the real world BA cancelled my trip and refunded my $$ through Kayak before I left and I had to rebook a flight on a different airline through Kayak. I was and am surprised that Kayak thinks I am flying on the cancelled tickets that have been refunded. So my ratings of the trip are completely bogus. I would hope that Kayak would corect the flaw in the computer system that thinks cancelled tickets are still "flying".
my flight was cancelled and I was not notified of this. in fact I got a confirmation on September 7, 2021 from Kayak and when I called to check on seats that is when I was told that flight was cancelled back in April. I had to spend the next 3 hours scrambling to change my entire trip and still have not received my entire refund for the cancelled flights.
Contra: "Customer Service is Dead with British Airways!!! I will make every effort not to fly with BA again"

The actual placement of the seats were aisle row and middle row-so neither of us had a window to look out of or wall to lean against, no overhead lighting or air vent either. Can you say "rip-off?" My husband, who is tall and broad shoulder was constantly being knocked around by the flight attendants and carts. This flight was miserable. I guess I should be thankful for the hour plus delay in departure."
Pro: "The check in process was easy and straightforward but we were in the front of the line--which was very long. The lady who checked us in was very nice and pleasant and she was there for boarding as well. This process was very smooth for us."
Contra: "No water available unless you paid for it --same true of coffee and they only take credit cards. Was not able to request seats early and ended up next to the bathroom and lots of people standing in my personal space and the smell is overwhelming--the chemical smell."

Pro: "Service and Care with sense of humor! I have sat in both business and economy, and while I prefer the room in business, I still feel the service is just as wonderful in economy. I got all I asked for including bubbly in economy! I like to stay awake on the way back to the US and asked for two coffee's and a bubbly, a ginger and an OJ just before dinner & refills on cafe. Of course I thought I was pushing it to ask for it all at once, but they laughed, proceeded to fill my wishes and with a good sense of humor asked If I wanted anything else! I actually got everything I asked for! Super!"
Contra: "I pre bought my seat and chose an aisle. The plane was changed and I ended up in a window seat within the same row I had chosen on the other plane lay out. I prefer the aisle as I like to get up a lot and hate to annoy others who may prefer not to get up every time I do. I was lucky that the flight had plenty of empty seats and was able to move to an aisle after asking. What happens on a full flight? I would have been really upset. What is the point of pre-booking one' s seat? If the plane is changed, BA ought to take care to make sure a pre-booked seat gets a window/aisle near the row they chose. I suspect that is more important than the row on a long flight."

Contra: "I am handicapped and the jetway was broken. British Airways took a bad situation and made it worse! Obviously they had no contingency plans and the gate agents just wan't to avoid any responsibility and started blaming the poor man who had been wheeling me all over the airport. ONLY BRITISH AIRWAYS WAS AT FAULT FOR THIS. Eventually they put me on a lift several gates away and then loaded me onto the platform lift of one of those catering trucks that deliver food to the planes and drove me to my plane. The plane door was shut and they had to bang on the door to have them open it and let me board. As a result, I personally delayed the flight (officially) 28 minutes; in reality about 40 minutes. This was one of the most embarrassing and humiliating experiences of my life; to be loaded on a plane like freight!! Is this how British Airways operates??"
Pro: "They tried to help me in person by making a phone call to the security gate."
Contra: "Despite the call to security (I guess it was to the security gate? Not sure) it seemed standard the way they spoke, not as if anyone seemed empathetic to my situation as I am a graduate student and was in dire need of returning to Dublin, Ireland for work the following morning. I have had a different experience with different British Airways representatives. The customer service on the phone seemed good, but in person, it just felt like robots following policy unfortunately. I spent $150 for a roundtrip flight and could not use my "Return" portion of my ticket. I arrived to the security gate and I could not be let in. My flight was even delayed which should have allowed me time to scan through security but it did not. My phone is temporarily unavailable as it is in the shop for repair, while I navigate a foreign country without the use of maps or access to email so easily. I checked my email at a random hotel in London for 1.5 hours, and 30 mins after I left, apparently an email was sent by BA to me, alerting me that I could check-in my luggage, instead of having to take it on-board as carry-on. All these details would have been nice to know a little more ahead of time. I wish I could be refunded for my flight, as that was the last flight of the evening, and I ended up having to go to Air Lingus to pay nearly 300 pounds to get on their last flight back to Dublin. As a graduate student, working on my thesis and fulfilling a job here in Ireland as the final leg of my Master's degree, any money saved is a help. Forfeiting half my ticket, and purchasing a new one twice the price of my original was not something I was expecting. I was an emotional wreck getting on-board my other airline's flight. Just not a positive experience that resonated with me overall :( I wish I had more positive insight to share, especially on social media or Yelp about my experience to London and back with BA. Plane was small, and complimentary drinks were not served as every flight I have ever been on in 30 years, and that is several several dozen, have ALWAYS given at least a drink, even if they didn't have peanuts/pretzels. Pretty disappointing.."
