Food choices were rather poor. Pasta, which is what they seem to serve now in Economy was tasteless.
They ask for electronic vaccination status to be downloaded but then they ask to see it again!!! Whats the point of downloading?? Also economy class was allowed to board through business and were not told to go to a different line

It’s funny they use the old fit our A380 but such a long flight."
Pro: "Priority boarding for parents with children was a huge help. Provided extra blankets and most of the crew's friendliness was very appreciated."
Contra: "Provided bassinet is much too small for even a 17 months old. Also very hard bedding made it impossible for the kid to sleep. We observed same with the other parents. Alone with that, the height of the bassinet makes it easy for the kid to get distracted. WORSE PART: Our daughter couldn't get comfortable to sleep and got fussy, so I took her for a walk which didn't help much. Since it was bedtime 11pm with 0 to little traffic, and to avoid her crying from disturbing everyone I resorted to one of the bathrooms with her. She did fall asleep for about 1 hour until one the FA came literally BANGING on the door. Very rude even after I calmly explained the situation. So sorry for such people with no compassion nor understanding in their hearts."

Contra: "Seattle to Frankfurt aircraft was the dingiest and most crammed aircraft I have ever used on an international leg. The seats were tiny so much so that some other passengers were not able to fit in! The lighting was gloomy, restroom dirty within the first hour of the flight, no space to keep any magazine or books on the back rest of the seat in front of you, etc. Overall - such a bad experience. Not expected from Lufthansa, especially as I have had great experience with Lufthansa earlier."
Contra: "To Whom It May Concern, My name is Eliezer Korbman. I was a passenger on LH403 with service to Frankfurt, Germany. Upon reaching cruising altitude and prior to dinner service, a Lufthansa stewardess reached across my midsection, activated the reclining mechanism and forcefully returned my seat to its upright position - waking me up to eat. (You may conduct your own investigation, but there was no prior announcement.) I politely declined, but was later denied dinner and breakfast. To clarify, I was unable to eat or sleep. This is utterly disgusting service. I am incredibly disappointed in Lufthansa for the way that I was treated aboard LH403. Unless I can be persuaded otherwise, I will be taking my business elsewhere. Garbage service! Shame on you Lufthansa!"
Pro: "The crew were very friendly and I liked that they always kept us hydrated with drinks. Before I even left on the trip I called the airlines several time with so many questions and the staff that I talked to each time were so friendly and helpful with all the questions that I had."
Contra: "The only thing I didn't like is that the boarding process was different than what I was used to. I usually board by zones and this time it was more of a everyone got up at the same time and everyone rushed to the front of the lines and some people would push me out of the way to get in front. ( even though we all had assigned seating) Second thing was that I had asked for a wheelchair for my mom and I had seen one waiting outside and was about to walk up to it but another person was limping up to it and put her stuff down on it so I didn't know if it was for my mom or her. I didn't have the heart to go up and make her move if the wheelchair was for my mom so we ended up walking the whole way to customs. I felt bad for my mom afterwards because her knees ended up hurting by the time we got to customs. I would suggest holding up signs of individual names for who the wheelchair is for. Other than that everything was great"

I hate to sound so negative, but it was really awful. The flight, itself, was fine. Nice crew and smooth trip."
This was a rough one. The flight itself was fine, and it was nice to have a little Austrian culture on the way to the US. Check-in with Lufthansa at the Munich airport was very unsatisfying - even worse than checking in to a US domestic flight. Long lines, rude service - the first time in my life that I've had an airport check-in person proactively criticize me. And on top of that, they lost my luggage between Vienna and Newark. I waited at the baggage claim area until all the bags were off, and only at the very end did I discover my bags weren't there. By then it was too late to make my connecting domestic flight, even though I had a nearly two hour layover in Newark. A storm was blowing across the northeast, and the lines to change to a new flight were 50 people long. I ended up spending the night (on my own nickel) at an airport hotel and continuing my flight the next day. Even with an 18 hour delay they still hadn't found a way for my luggage to catch up to me. Overall, a pretty lousy experience.

Other airlines (Vueling, Air Europa) checked same bag as courtely, did not charge. First and last time flying Austrian."

Contra: "Kayak sent me an email at 5:16am for an 8:15 am flight titled, "Austrian Airlines flight #704 from PRG on time". It was in fact cancelled. Unfortunately we missed the connection for the flight to Newark, which we were expressly told would be held for us... they shut the door 30 seconds before we arrived, with the plane still at the gate. Had to then go to the only counter in the terminal to see if we could get on standby. Finally got on a flight to JFK instead at 5:15pm."

Contra: "Aircraft was older 777 and lavatories weren't very clean. Upon landing in Vienna, my mobility walker (tagged to be brought up to me at jetway) was sent to my connecting flight to Sophia. The flight crew refused to intercept it and have it brought up to me at the aircraft. To make matters much, much worse, the flight crew eventually gave up and left, leaving me LOCKED inside the jetway for over 30 minutes after calling for a wheelchair. The replentishment crew refused to let me out of the locked jetway. Only after the wheelchair arrived was I let out of the locked jetway. I was taken to the Austrian Airlines service center where I lodged a formal complaint. Supervisor/Rene refused to upgrade my seat in any fashion to compensate for my distress. He did, however, arrange for me to given access to the VIP lounge and then taken to my VIE-SOF gate. Had I had a shorter layover, I would have missed my connecting flight."
Contra: "Austrian cancelled my flight from berlin and rebooked me 2 :/6: later without even letting me know, like if I don't have anything else to do than wait in berlin for 2 days!"

I waited patiently while many others checked in (later to see those same people on my flight who clearly checked in before the 2 hours), but then found out from a different ticket agent that I didn't need a paper copy ticket, so I waited there for no reason due to misinformation from your ticket agent. My flight was delayed twice, then they lined us up at the wrong gate. After scanning our tickets, the door wouldn't open to let us out to the airplane, then they lined us up outside the plane in freezing cold winds because they were still cleaning the plane-the guy was still taking the trash out. Where is the "priority" in that? I know I really only paid to not have to check my bag, but it's also called priority - not quite sure they understood that. Will probably never travel this airline again, too much hassle and frustration for such simple things."
Contra: "Central Naples to Central London lasted 16 hours door to door! No proper explanation is given as to when to expect the flight to depart even roughly. People were kept standing up, waiting. Vouchers given for refreshments were valid in two places, one of them outside the airport! Somebody who couldn't use her voucher wanted to use it on the plane and it was not accepted."

TO many unnecessary steps for a simple transaction."

When we went to the airport we were told that we had pay 66 euros per person because we didn’t register online for checkin. We were told that if we didn’t we wouldn’t be let on our flight. This happened with many customers that were inline with us. Terrible flight, would not recommend it to anyone."
