Couldn't change passenger, had to ignore this flight and lost 500€. Never Kayak again!
Not enough connection time
The crew was very nice, 👍 We had it one food option.
Left 40 mins late and consequently missed a Lufthansa connection at Munich - which didn’t wait for a number of us. Pretty damned annoying

Document check to verify our negative covid test was efficient. The supervisor at the Frankfurt gate to depart to SFO was not helpful when I asked with group I was boarding with. Dismissive and said it was on my pass. If it was on my pass I wouldn’t have needed to ask. Everything else about the flight was good- on time departure and good crew given circumstances with covid, masking etc.
Contra: "I got overcharged for a bag $230 Dollars, both planes were delayed, the supervisor Danny at Ohare was horrible, will never use Lufthansa ever again!"

I should have captured the economy classes crews names, but it was 414 from Munich to Dulles on 25 May--they were truly outstanding."

Good wine selection, the saving grace for what I consider an over sold flight. The service staff was attentive and professional. The pilot and crew were great, I felt very safe."

The funk was pretty overwhelming. Bathrooms were stinky and ran out of toilet paper. Only the free flowing wine made it tolerable."

Pro: "Lufthansa pilots are some of the best in the industry and the flight was extremely smooth from take off to landing. There were bouts of turbulence but the pilot immediately changed altitudes to steer away from it. Flying on the 748 is a pleasure and it's a shame these great planes will eventually all be phased out in favor of more fuel efficient 787s and their Airbus counterparts."
Contra: "Having to pay 86€ for a second suitcase that weighed just 15kg. In JFK they didn't charge me but Germans always go by the book. I think for the price of the ticket and lower gasoline costs compared to the height of the recession this is simply outrageous. Next time I'll pay for economy plus. You get a seat that is wider than economy but a little bit less legroom than a business one and the second baggage is included. The meal was nothing special but the friendliness of the flight attendants made up for it."
Contra: "Guy next to me died. Emergency landing. They refused to hold the gate for my connection in Frankfurt for 15 minutes."

I flew business class. But nothing compare to business class. Lounge closed in Vienna. Not exist at all in Tel Aviv. Priority boarding not exist in Tel Aviv despite available business counter. Nobody in front of me was checked in to Business or with Senator status. No welcome drinks. All overall awful experience.

LHR-VIE was late; we ran and arrived in time catch VIE-KSC before it left, but Austrian Air would not allow us to board, despite that the other part of our travel party was already on the plane and alerted both gate staff and on-board staff we were coming and wee had to play a show that night with Arch Enemy. We had to wait 10 hours in VIE & given €12 for food. AA cited "rotational issues". Shockingly, Austrian Air delayed the 2nd flight by another hour "to wait for someone". We had to cancel the show. Really angry"
Contra: "I specifically selected three seats for my Wife and two children ages 7 and 5. I did not fly back with them and at check in the three seats were confirmed on a boarding pass printed at their departure location. Upon checking in on the connecting flight in Vienna, the seat assignment had been completely disregarded and three seats located 10+ aisles apart were given to a family traveling together??????? This makes no sense and must be due to booking through a third party. Unacceptable and not worth the $40 per ticket savings."

When we got back however at 2:30am, they did not provide us with a hotel and just gave us blankets and pillows to sleep in the airport. They also offered us only a piece of bread with ham and cheese and a coffee for the next 12 hours until the new flight left. Not a pleasant experience."

3.5 hours delay will ruin any day!
Listening covid restrictions and following them is completely nonsense. Avoid touching others? How when plane is full and everybody who pass around touchs me. Keep distance?? How???? Avoid walking in the plane but also wash your hands regularly with soap and water? How? I should avoid walking but at the same time you want me to wash hand regularly? It means i have to walk up and down. What is regularly for you? Every 15mins? Every hour? Every day? It is so stupid what you are telling that my brain stops to work.
Travelling from Nigeria was a nightmare. Those thugs at the airport gave my husband and i hell because we had our boarding passes on our phone. We had to keep bribing and begging them to let us through. It is the worse travel experience I’ve ever ever had in my entire life. And I travel a lot

On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

There is no entertaining offered on the shorter flights. I wish that would change.

Border control: HUGE line, only one official Security check: rude and unapologetic; literally tried to open a sealed bag purchased at duty-free Airport (Warsaw): no crowd/mask control. A special form needs to be filled on paper for boarding, despite having filled a similar form online. As a result, a crowd of people (full flight on a 787 Dreamliner) gathered to board the plane, all swarming around the boarding counter, trying to get their forms to fill in. Again, no crowd control and/or attempts to distribute the forms.
No entertainment at all but all other is good.

May have been more/less, but standing there in that stuffy bus made it feel worse than it was. Departure flight was delayed, so my 50 minute layover may have contributed to my bag not being transferred, and lost."
Contra: "I used LOT Airlines for the very first time to travel to Riga, Latvia. The problems started at the LOT check in counter at O'Hare International terminal. I packed my weeks worth of belongings into a 21" carry on bag expressly so I wouldn't have lost baggage issues. The customer service person forced me to check my bag because it was 3 kilograms overweight even though it was the correct size for carry on. As you can probably guess the bag was lost in the transfer in Warsaw, Poland. After filing a lost baggage claim at Riga, Latvia airport I never heard a word of support, communication, or even an apology from customer service at LOT airlines. I called them several times and their tracking system could not locate the bag during the entire week I was in Latvia. Now I am home in the states and have received an email from LOT Airlines stating that my bag is now at the airport in Riga, Latvia and to contact them for shipping and reimbursement for any costs. LOT is a TERRIBLE AIRLINE! Atay Away!"
Pro: "Friendly crew and boarding and flight were uneventful"
Contra: "The entertainment for an international flight is far outdated. The movie selection is severely lacking"
Pro: "Seats were comfortable and the food wasn't terrible"
Contra: "4 hours late with no explanation and terrible updates left us sitting at the gate the whole yimr"

Contra: "Because of loosing our connecting flight in Warsaw (due to weather...I think, it was never explain to us why our first flight had a 3 hour delay), the boarding staff was very helpful finding us a different route. Well the flight from Warsaw to Berlin, operated by LOT was horrible! No snacks no drinks, not even water on a 2hour flight! Shame on you! I had my wedding gown with me and I asked one of the crew members to put it in one of the closets design for this. And in a broken English she told me 'ya there is a problem' and she showed me the closet, it was full with the crew luggage :( We ended up laying the gown on one seat that was empty! When we arrived at our destination and picked up our luggage we noticed that they broke one of the wheels. Overall very ugly experience with LOT!!!"

Contra: "I flew in Premium, but I had to call the airline to have the seat assigned. I could not choose the seat online although the website said I could choose a seat ahead of time. The only way to see the arrangement of seats was through seatguru.com. The best seats for the Premium Class are 4A, 4B and 4F and 4G, which are the first row in Premium. The rest of them have legs or boxes under the seat in front of you, so there is really now way you can stretch your legs fully under the seat in front of you during the flight. I was able to secure 4G for my return flight from Warsaw, but going to Warsaw from O'Hare I was put into 6B, no proper room for the right leg. They did not let us use the Business Class bathroom, which was much closer. We had to go all the way to the bathroom behind the row 19. Very inconvenient. They allow dogs in the Premium cabin, so if you are allergic to dogs brace yourself. I fly LOT only when I have no other option."
Pro: "The entertainment on the plane was great. Large selection of movies, music, and TV shows to keep yourself entertained. The dinner was adequate. It was also nice having the overhead screens continually update our flight progress."
Contra: "The seats are incredibly cramped, by the end I was feeling seriously claustrophobic. It didn't help that we left late. The boarding process was a mess, nobody seemed to know what to do, and the announcements were all mumbled to the point where I was just guessing what to do. The second meal served was inedible as the bread was completely stale. Also, one of the toilets was broken and kept flushing, even when sitting on it. Like the boarding process, disembarking was sloppy and confusing. It took a very long time to open the door, and they only told people at the last minute that they needed to get their passports out."
Good budget airline, comfortable seats and pleasant crew
The crew was efficient and welcoming. Boarding was a bit messy, some delay in the cleaning, it seems. All the rest was accordingly the flight tipology.
Pro: "Entertainment was good."
Contra: "The crew was horrible. They walked through the aisles with no regard for passengers seated in the aisles. No food over a 9 hr transatlantic flight. This was not explained in the ticket. This was absolutely absurd. I have never experienced that before"
Contra: "The flight was delayed 40min So i missed the connection in Leipzig"
Pro: "The plane left and arrived on time."
Contra: "The seats were just okay, not comfortable. No snacks or drinks were complimentary."
Contra: "I missed my connection in Dusseldorf because none of the 12passport gates worked. Two border agents tried to handle the crowd, but I arrived at the gate 1 minute after flight close. Neither the agents at the gate nor at the transfer desk were willing to help me get to Manchester. Never fly EW again."
Contra: "The seats are uncomfortable and too close together. The flight was late because we circled the airport several times in the air, and spent thirty minutes waiting on the tarmac to come to the gate. The stewardess spilled on my neighbor each time she filled my water."
Pro: "Eurowings is an average low-budget flight. But at least the equipment looked all right, and it was clean."
Contra: "No food or drink is included in the price, narrow seats."

When it was finally time to land, we briefly touched down before going back up into the air and circling for an additional half hour because another plane was at our gate. The quick up-and-down caused at least two passengers near me to vomit. I’ll try my best to avoid Eurowings in the future."

Pro: "The Lufstansa flight we ended up boarding to San Francisco for a connector to Las Vegas was a pretty good flight. The entertainment and food choices were excellent. As a matter of fact I ended up declining the last meal served because I was still full from the first meal and snack. The crew was friendly and professional. I really liked the bathroom waiting area on the lower deck, which was great place to stretch out and do a few exercises on a long flight."
Contra: "To begin with I should mention I am 6'1" and stocky, so the economy seat was a bit tight; my knees were against the back of the seat in front of me. The previous flight coming to Europe had more room between the seats. The biggest problem by far was that the Eurowings flight was delayed by 8 hours! The Lufstansa customer service at first handed us a sheet of paper with contact information for Eurowings, Once she found out that we booked the original flight through Air Canada, she was able to help us get another flight. The flight was routed through San Francisco, with a transfer to a United flight to Las Vegas. Unfortunately, the United flight has 'technical' issues that delayed it another three and a half hours! So, rather than getting home to Las Vegas at 4 p.m. on Thursday, we ended up getting home at 4 a.m. on Friday morning. We never were told why the original flight was delayed 8 hours!"
Pro: "Everyone was nice."
Contra: "When we finally were able to board it went smoothly. The crew was nice, but nothing amazing. Not very comfortable but not surprised for a short flight. There was no “food”. There was no “entertainment”. Kayak was great for information and reminders!!!"
Contra: "Flight was cancelled; waited in the Rome airport for over 8 hours waiting for assistance and for a new flight for tomorrow and then another 2 hours we had to wait for a shuttle to take us to the hotel. By far worst airport/airline experience by far. Will never book with Austrian/Eurowings ever again."
Pro: "Once we were all aboard the completely booked out flight, it didn’t take long to take off. The captain apologised for the delay and kept us up to date with our progress during the short flight. Staff were efficient and friendly."
Contra: "Lack of communication at the boarding gate. It wouldn’t take much to let people know the reason for the delay. And, while I understand that it isn’t possible to cater for all allergies on a short flight, there are enough people with food intolerances to have a few options other than wheat based snacks."

Contra: "Flight was delayed by an hour . The aircraft had to be refuelled and we were asked to remove our seat belts and wait for an hour. Ae Service was horrible. The passengers who paid extra for snacks with the ticket were served first and even after I said my ears were hurting and I needed something sweet to chew on (I was going to buy something to eat anyway) I wasn't served till roughly 75 minutes into the flight. The crew was inconsiderate towards passengers who bought economy seats and was focusing only on passengers who paid extra for seats and snacks. If that's the case then they should stop serving other customers anyway and tell us beforehand so that we can arrange our own food/drinks from the airport lounge"
Pro: "Overall accessibility, timing, response from check in attendants, and flight attendants, and comfort."
Contra: "The last minute gate change where I imagine may be necessary, there were no announcements or follow up info, save the alert I received from the kayak.com app on my phone. This could've presented a big problem had my mobile not been charged."
Contra: "The service of the airline was horrible. They lost our bags and refused to show any empathy towards us or the multiple other passengers that also lost their bags from our flight. I will never fly Eurowings again."
Contra: "The flight was delayed over and over and finally cancelled. We had to go out to the ticket counter to rebook. That meant clearing customs and then going back thru security again. A real Hassel!!! I think any other airline would have rebooked people in the terminal!!!"
Contra: "I travelled with my two children and they have given us three completely separate seats. I tried to ask the crew to help but they refused, both ground crew and in flight crew. We have flown with both Wizz Air and Easyjet this summer and those airlines have always assigned us seats together. Lufthansa did also. No idea why it was not possible for Eurowings. Also, crew were completely unhelpful, did not want to lift a finger for us. Luckily, a kind lady switched seats with me so I could sit next to my youngest son. Would definitely think twice about flying Eurowings again..."
Contra: "The birding officer didn't inform me about the visa requirements to cross from Dusslouf to Vinna airport. This caused a big problem for me in the airport, where I: 1- Wasn't allowed to catch my flight ti Vinnea and this was both financial and time lost for me. 2- I was locked in Dussluff airport for more than 14 hours, I was threatened to be sent back to USA or any other country. This caused physiological damage for me, as I been treated like an animal 3- I was asked to pay for my new ticket ( Dussloff - Istanbul-Amman )"
