Food and entertainment aren’t applicable as there was neither of each. Seats were not too comfortable.

Pro: "The flight attendants were stellar--polite, respectful, helpful, attentive. I want to particularly commend the attendant who, after I notified her that someone was very ill in the adjacent bathroom, stood discreetly nearby and offered the person a glass of water when he emerged. Very considerate."
Contra: "The transfer was a horrible, stressful experience. We knew it as a short connection but Lufthansa had accepted it. On our outward bound flight three weeks earlier, we were all met and escorted swiftly by a flight attendant from the first leg plane (EWR-MUN) to the second leg plane (MUN-Nice) to ensure that we all made it onboard. Impressive. On our return journey, no such luck! No attendant to meet us, and a huge line at immigration, full of panicked and stressed-out passengers jockeying for position, with no-one from ANY airline there to do a triage for those with the shortest connections. Ridiculous. In addition, the passport-scanning machines were very slow and quirky. My own passport was rejected because there was no evidence I had passed through Munich on my outward bound journey!! RIDICULOUS. I managed to slip through to a human being and begged the immigration officer to let me go through with my husband, who had had no such problem. The officer told me he could not find a stamp from my earlier transit through!!! Eventually I suppose he did because he let me through. The stamp was there, I found it, but it had been sloppily applied and was half off the page...hence the rejection by the scanner. We made the flight by minutes. NOT GOOD! Surely Lufthansa could do better in their own country???"

Pro: "We were traveling from IAH gto FRA with two dogs. One in a crate and one in a small carry on dog bag. Lufthansa handled the process very well. They expected us at the airport, helped us through the entire checkin with a smile, helpful information and care. They brought us and our dog to TSA and after boarding confirmed that our dog had been loaded and safely taken care of. The cabin crew also checked on us and our in cabin dog. I don't know any other airline that makes traveling with a dog so easy and pleasant."

Missed flight left me waiting in Frankfurt over-night with-out a hotel, nor anyone from Lufthansa to assist with finding a sleeping cot. No airport/Lufthansa staff would offer to bring me a cot and all attempts by me to locate a cot were unsuccessful leaving me to walk from area to area to locate were the cots were stored. Ten Euro meal compensation was severely inadequate to cover dinner and breakfast. Very dissatisfied."

Contra: "The seating on this aircraft is inadequate for a long flights. Tall people really suffer due to seat size and spacing. There was a 6"6" man of median weight for his height who was in the middle seat next to me and he could barely fit into his seat. It was not his fault, rather the unrealistic expectation that airline seats actually fit today's customer. Not only is there not enough leg room, but the width of the seat leaves no room for arms or shoulders. No one should have to ride 7-plus hours touching the shoulders of the passenger next to them! I used to prefer to fly on Lufthansa because their seating was more comfortable than other carriers, but I will try another airline next time."
Contra: "Where to begin? During the booking process, there was no indication my travel partner and I would be flying Air Canada, and not Lufthansa. We were seated in the last row of the plane with painfully little legroom — even for two women of relatively small stature. The plane was not equipped with modern conveniences of operational wifi, music, or any other means of entertainment over the ten-hour flight. We were nearly an hour late to depart, but were unable to hear anything over the speakers regarding the cause for the delay, nor could we hear any of the flight attendants' safety instructions. What we could hear, however, was the surprisingly loud and nearly constant DINNNGGGG of the passengers' call buttons as they summoned the flight attendants. Because the flight was an overnighter, we attempted to sleep, but it was nearly impossible to do so due to the noise. I had earplugs in and could still hear the chimes, which were positioned right above our seats and made for an unpleasant experience and cranky travelers. The food was subpar as expected, but it would've been nice to be surprised with something resembling a fresh piece of fruit or vegetable. The flight crew was polite and one of the attendants took pity on us and offered a complimentary shot of whiskey, which partially alleviated the discomfort of the experience. That man is a saint and we surely hope he is better taken care of by this airline than we were. Overall a miserable experience. Will definitely rethink flying both Lufthansa and Air Canada in the future."

Pro: "The Lufthansa crew in Munich was very helpful when my boarding pass would not go through - I was not told I needed a new pass for that flight (as the first one had been cancelled and rebooked: 2 Air Berlin flights). No one was of help until this point, and the Lufthansa crew even offered to check on my baggage for us only to notice it never left Berlin; we didn't get it for 3 days. This did not surprise me because last time I flew Air Berlin for an 8 day cycling & camping trip, I didn't see my bike for 5 days (you can imagine this sort of ruins the entire point of the trip). After reading a lot of complaints with Air Berlin and never hearing back from their customer service (ever) after numerous forms filled out, I knew checking our bags with Air Berlin from the start would mean we wouldn't see them in New York. I even said to the Air Berlin employee at check in that I refused to check my bag because of my past experience and he "assured" me my bag would be at JFK when I got there. Ha. It was nice to see the Lufthansa crew shocked at how poorly this trip home was working out for my husband and I."
Contra: "After the cancelled flight, we were very disappointed to be rebooked with Air Berlin. We do not want to fly Lufthansa if they are so closely associated with Air Berlin, and will tell our friends the same."

KLM is never consistent with services. Sometimes you get lucky with great comfort and other times you are forced to squeeze in a box for a seat. The food is always subpar and they have become so unfriendly when you need help. But hey, they are always on time and they have good connections.

Nice flight but from Entebbe to Amsterdam they didn’t get me what I requested for the baby.

There were not enough agents at the booth and we waited and waited. By the time we finally got service we were past the two hour deadline, and we were charged an additional 220 euros. This was not due to an error on our part. We want afull refund. If we donnot receive some sort of satisfaction, rest assured we will never fly your airline again. Nor will we recommend it."

Contra: "Even by budget airline standards, Ryanair is mediocre at best. The chairs are uncomfortable for a 4 1/2 hour flight - manageable, maybe, for a shorter journey but not anywhere good enough for that length of time. Boarding took an unusually long time and even priority passengers were stood around waiting to get onboard a good 15 minutes or so after already having gotten into the jetway. Not to mention after landing, we were stood over an hour waiting for baggage because, for some reason, four different flights used the same carousel (and presumably only had one team getting baggage off all four planes) despite there being a second one free which I'm sure they could have easily used. Don't have four planes landing near concurrently if you don't have the facilities to deal with it. Ryanair is cheap, yes, but by the time you have to pay ridiculous amounts for things most other airlines consider normal (for starters, you can't even take a full size hand luggage bag on board without priority boarding), it adds up to being less "budget" than it would have been to fly with a higher end airline like British Airways and you'd have to be an idiot to choose Ryanair over a cheaper, higher quality, airline. Honestly, I have no idea how people choose Ryanair more than once in their lifetime."

Contra: "Priority boarding And disembarkation But had to wait half an hour for the parking people WCP recommended by Ryanair then a 15 Minuit journey to collect the car what a joke This was the only downside of what was a good trip In Poland booked taxi and tours were there waiting for us no waiting around"
Pro: "It got me home."
Contra: "Firstly, there were no sandwiches (hot or cold) available on a late afternoon flight, so the remaining food options were poor. Secondly, my £7 Gin and Tonic that I'd hardly touched slid right off the frankly useless trays and into my lap. The flight attendant literally threw me a few paper towels to help. I spent the remaining three hours of the flight soaking wet."

Contra: "We paid for a checked bag and the airline made us pay again."
Pro: "Efficient boarding process"
Contra: "Uncomfortable seat. We paid to check our bags as they were oversized according to Ryan's website however we saw many people stowing bags much larger than ours in the overhead bins."
Pro: "Effective service point A to B. Flew from Hamburg Manchester and seated 17A. Leg room good on the exit row."
Contra: "New slimline seats will be difficult for anything more than 2 hours"

Contra: "Ridiculous overpriced snack menu. Sandwiches etc.. And coffee not good too expensive.. Let's you down.!"
Contra: "What an extraordinarily cynical, greedy non-transparent brand RyanAir is. The whole model treats consumers like we are stupid. Charging for everything as you go, pretending it's less expensive. And worse, not informing you upfront. Congratulations Mr O'Leary for duping people to get rich. Contra: "self service kiosks were not working in airport and we were told it would cost 50 pounds each to print boarding pass. We followed directions to try to print on our own by paying for expensive internet service at the airport but still were unable to view & print boarding passes. After talking to several rather unhelpful reps, someone at the Sky Desk made an exception to allow us "free" boarding passes. This was just after 2 people were charge full price (50L each for passes & full price to check luggage, after they didn't get promised email to check bags online) Cheap fares doesn't make up for frustration"

Contra: "The flight was delayed 1h 30min. We lost our connection to New York and hs to buy a new ticket that cost us over 500usd each. Its incredible how little preocupation you put on getting to destination in time."
Pro: "Tiny airport in Mykonos took about 10 mins to check in and get through security. But must be a MAD house during summer break! There was no food or entertainment but only a 22 minute flight so who cares"
Pro: "Boarding was quick, amazingly enough space in overhead lockers for everyone's luggage, crew friendly, flight on time..Didn't have food and there was no entertainment."
Contra: "It was all fine."
Pro: "5 minute early arrival"
Contra: "We stood 10 minutes outside in the freezing cold before boarding."
Contra: "This airline sent an email indicating that security at the Santorini airport would take 2.5 hours when in reality it was Ryan Air's inefficiency that took that long. I've never had a boarding process take so long, be so inefficient, and the crew be so lacking in customer service. They also were on the PA for almost the entire 50 minute flight trying to sell products which was irritating at best on an 0825 flight. Fly another airline out of Santorini...Ryan air was terrible and the hidden costs for check in and bagggage are ridiculous."
Contra: "That Ryan air charge you €45 euros to check in your baggage"
