My experience with Turkish airlines has very disappointing. The crew members were not polite during the flight, I had kindly requested for a cup of water, three times! But I had not received a single cup, I will not be flying Turkish airlines again.

My experience with Turkish airlines has very disappointing. The crew members were not polite during the flight, I had kindly requested for a cup of water, three times! But I had not received a single cup, I will not be flying Turkish airlines again.

I got confused about flight time and day missed my flight and rescheduled it for another day they charged me again $260. Even I tried to call the airline 4 hours before nobody answered me . I don’t have time now to fight this case but I think it’s not fair…

On board WiFi did not get connected.

Pro: "On board entertainment ststem has lots of options to choose from on all accounts. Food selection was good, served hot with large selection of drinks. Overall much better than US airlines that cross Atlantic."
Contra: "More comfortable seats for long haul flights is a must have. Comfort+ Offered a money’s worth alternative to business or first class. Boarding is done away from terminal building which required busess for transportation back and forth. Prefer skybridge instead."

This is over the top and no longer required on many airlines. Time to modernize attitudes here."

Contra: "My first flight was changed. Only one email was send about that change. It got lost in some other emails so I didn't see it. But I did not receive any other update or reminder. So I had figure out how to change all of my flights from there to Kansas in the States. All with bad internet service and unhelpful costomer service. And having to deal with two unexpected long layovers. All that to say, sending periodic emails is important especially if the flight had been changed."

Contra: "Poor crew service--amazingly slow (my general THY service experience has been great, but in this leg crew did not respond to calls for almost 20-30 minutes). After meals, most people took their own empty trays to return them behind (because the crew had not picked up after 30+ minutes). The meals arrived cold as well. My entertainment set froze after 4 hours in a 13 hours trip, and was not attended to after repeated calls. One conscientious Turkish stewardess was very helpful in the 9th hour (literally), even if the entertainment did not come back on. To top these, I was sandwiched between a teenager on front and teenagers on right, who were loud and generally weird (obviously not the airlines fault). So, it ended up being a mediocre experience overall."

Contra: "The problem is with KAYAK. KAYAK booked us a carrier light ticket and failed to inform us at the time of the booking that it was a tariff without checked in baggage that was being offered. Fortunately, LUFTHANSA informed us of this fact at checkin and we purchased carriage with checked in baggage. This makes me wary of buying tickets through KAYAK in the future."

Contra: "For starters, they sat my 12 year old daughter 6 rows away and both of us in center seats so no one would switch with us. Mid flight, my daughter asked to switch with me since the guy next to her kept asking personal questions and was making her uncomfortable. Second, the in flight entertainment did not work. Third, I had pre-ordered a diabetic meal, they “think they may have given it to someone else.” Fourth, one hour delay making for a tight connection. And finally... they lost my suitcase. Should arrive in a few days."

Also, the food was EXCELLENT, which you don't often hear on a flight. My seat was comfortable and the movie and television selections was great. Will ABSOLUTELY fly with them again!"
Pro: "Flight Delayed from EWR. But the connecting flight to mumbai was not allowed to boarded. Since the gate closed even though the flight was still there. On top of it, the flight that was provided as an alternative was again with a stopover, so now, we had two stop over and extra 14 hours of layover time. Did not offer hotel stay or transit visa. was stuck in airport. Very much disappointed with Lufthansa. Will never take this flight nor will allow my friends and family to take one ever again."

This caused a big problem for me in the airport, where I: 1- Wasn't allowed to catch my flight ti Vinnea and this was both financial and time lost for me. 2- I was locked in Dussluff airport for more than 14 hours, I was threatened to be sent back to USA or any other country. This caused physiological damage for me, as I been treated like an animal 3- I was asked to pay for my new ticket ( Dussloff - Istanbul-Amman )"

Contra: "The person sitting next to me on my right side was disrespectful and putting his head and legs up on my seat even after I told him not to do that and even spoke with the flight attendant. I felt uncomfortable with his behavior and the way it was managed by just telling him not to do that. I asked for a different seat but wasn't moved. For the price I paid for the seat and his behavior of taking up my spot and the empty spot in between us (he took up 2 chairs because he was laying down to sleep) I was very disappointed and uncomfortable during the flight."

Contra: "The crew on the flight was really loud and talked about unprofessional things. Every time I was woken up it was by a flight attendant talk to another attendant really loud across the plane. Also, this was advertised as Lufthansa but was actually United. Kayak seems to do this frequently, and as a customer it is confusing and disappointing."
Pro: "Great entertainment package. IFE was great, large screen, with a variety of choices. Lavatories are very spacious on A340-600 (lower deck)"
Contra: "The amount of space at the rear of the aircraft is incredibly limited. I was sitting in row 57 and due to the narrowing of the fuselage toward the back, the seats are narrower, some without arm rests and people going to the back of the aircraft keep bumping into seated passengers. Leg room as incredibly limited. This is not acceptable for a major airline. The terminal at Newark is rather old and not the cleanest. Due to the lack of clear communication, most passenger were confused at to the order of boarding."
Pro: "I was bumped up to Economy Plus which gave me lots of leg room on a half empty flight. New plane was great"
Contra: "You lost my baggage! I checked it over to domestic in Newark, but despite the 3.5 hour turnaround time you still managed to leave my bags, and those of several other people on my flight to CVG, in Newark"

The entertainment system had many movies that were neither dubbed into nor subtitled in English or any other language I understood (such as Goodbye, Lenin, a film I love and have seen with subtitles). The gluten-free meal was bland, perhaps to be expected but as it was my first time ordering one, I wouldn't have known what to expect."
Contra: "Worst of all was the cold, unconcerned manner of a young woman who did most of the attending the crowd of delayed passengers at the counter. I don't ask for abject deference, but she seemed unmoved by our plight and was cold bordering on unpleasant when dealing with different passengers' delay dilemmas. This young woman was American of African descent; for the record, I am as well, which made me think she just took a dislike to me, but she didn't appear to be much nicer to anyone else and just could not be bothered in the midst of the nearly three-hour delay, a major hassle for everyone including the airline. For what it's worth, her name starts with an N. (I didn't have my contacts on) Another major fail was the Lufthansa crew's assurance ahead of the flight that we would be rebooked on later flights after missing our connections. This promise was made rather breezily; clearly those making it in New York didn't have to deal with the business end of a tired, disgruntled crowd trying to cope with the fallout of missed connections. Once we got to Frankfurt, there was one lady holding a sign aloft; the sign bore the names of presumably first or business class passengers who would be shuttled to their new gates. That lady impatiently waved people from the steerage (aka economy) mob away and towards three overwhelmed Lufthansa agents helping people locate their new flights and gates. The gentleman who helped me sent me, and, I'm guessing, quite a few of my hapless fellow travellers, to gate A13 to collect my new boarding pass. Not knowing the airport at all, I followed a set of signs that took me through a monorail to an access area that - surprise! - I could not enter with my outdated boarding pass. Finally an airport official helped the group of A13-bound passengers to the Lufthansa check-in counter, where yet another Lufthansa agent disappointed in his dealing of the situation. Had I not stated that I refused to queue up or to countenance my long-suffering fellow passengers doing so, he would have had us wait in line, including one young woman about to miss a second flight. The agent at the desk was very friendly, but all in all I found the airline's responsiveness to the evolving situations of its steerage passengers (a significant chunk of its income) a great disappointment. I don't expect I'll give the airline a second chance. There's too much good service to be had from Arabian Gulf-based airlines at comparable fares."

Had to lay extra at the airport for baggage because LOT Airline website was not allowing me to purchase on there. This is the second time. So disappointed with this feature.

Contra: "Because of loosing our connecting flight in Warsaw (due to weather...I think, it was never explain to us why our first flight had a 3 hour delay), the boarding staff was very helpful finding us a different route. Well the flight from Warsaw to Berlin, operated by LOT was horrible! No snacks no drinks, not even water on a 2hour flight! Shame on you! I had my wedding gown with me and I asked one of the crew members to put it in one of the closets design for this. And in a broken English she told me 'ya there is a problem' and she showed me the closet, it was full with the crew luggage :( We ended up laying the gown on one seat that was empty! When we arrived at our destination and picked up our luggage we noticed that they broke one of the wheels. Overall very ugly experience with LOT!!!"

Being 6'7"in height and having the seat in front of me reclined I had to sit crouched for over 9hrs.When I informed the stewardess, not much concern was given and the alternative offered was worse because it was a middle seat with less space knowing that there were available seats in premium class. No effort was made to accommodate me knowing that the trip was long and sitting with my legs crouched could cause a health issue. A working seat is not a luxury, it's basic equipment that you expect to be functional not broken."

Then another line maybe 500 people long just to be allowed up the escalator to where there is another line to go through exuding checks. Nuts!!! My flight was an hour and I spent three hours online getting to it!!!"

Passengers on these tickets were not aware that they would not be served.any food which is probably unethical. They offer to sell you food if on a basic ticket"

Contra: "Plane was delayed coming in, then we were told we were waiting on catering. Then it became a weather issue. Then we boarded. Weather got worse so they took us off. The second time we boarded and were told we’re waiting on catering who wasn’t on site then had to go through airport security. After 3HOURS , we were asked to leave the plane. For rebounding the next morning with no explanation. The next morning the flight was delayed an additional 3HOURS. We were never given food in all this time of a wait. This became an 18+ hour delay. We definitely missed our connection and they rebooked it."

Once everyone was on board, they told us we "lost" our pilot and we had to get off the plane. Thirty minutes later, they "found" a new pilot and boarded us on the plane. We then sat on the plane for 4 hours because there was a system issue and the pilots didn't have our flight plan. At 8 pm, the pilot got off the plane, and new pilots came aboard. Finally, the plane left at 9:30 pm. We never received food vouchers, water, snacks during the delay. The pilot insisted the last delay was due to a system issue, the crew told us it was because of weather. In the end, I think they were all lying to us and they had no intention of leaving on time and just made excuses. We lost a whole day in Bermuda because of their lies. I will never fly United again."

I wish I had seen pricing before the flight and/or understood if I could’ve gotten a discount for purchasing in advance. — Didn’t hav the snack I wanted...it’s a long 6 hour flight — I wish there were more food options."

Seriously..???. These airlines are n need of a real policy that lets them know it is money we are expending when we take a flight. And taking the carry-on bag. AFTER YOU PAID TO HABE IT WITH YOU?? Unacceptable. And not seating people together after you call and re call and talk to 3 different persons... The last one just says: I will see what can be done and then ignores you... Not NICE. Please remember that many airlines have come and go. Those are some of the reasons."

Second the food was especially disgusting. The chicken was in this white sauce that looked like discharge and if taste like rubber. The bread was hard to bite into. Everything was so stale and tasted so bad I wondered how long they had that food sitting there. My last trip to Europe I flew Swiss air to Italy they had the best customer service and the food didn't taste like I was eating cardboard in jail. I am never flying united airlines to Europe again. It is too long of a trip for subpar service."

The only logical reason is that the final scale shows more. They had no idea of how to treat a passager courteously You could see that they are trained to always be right and cougt with their offul reputation they were asked to be better, but they didn't know what better means. The food could not be fed to a dog. The absolute cheapest ever. Two tiniest pieces of chicken, one piece of bread and a sort of pasta sald with raisin uneatable. The service in Paris was better because United couldn't destroy it like in Ny"

If I had know it wasn't going to be on time My son wouldn't have had to wait at the air port as long as He did"

Contra: "That when I explained being hearing impaired the boarding attendant said my carry on needed to be checked. I didn't understand her and proceeded to the loading blank. Then when boarding the attendant informed me. I explained I checked my bag in the airport compartment tester and it was fine. I also asked the attendant at the counter. She confirmed it was fine. Still smiling until the snack pretzels were passed out. When I didn't hear the attendant's question, in spite of telling her I was hearing impaired, she threw her hand up rudely and just continued on to other customers. When boarding I watched orhers board with the same size bag as mine, and wondered if telling someone you can't hear gives them the right to inform you at the gate that your bag needs to be checked?"

Contra: "Flight was delayed, causing major inconveniences, especially as I was on my way to a funeral Only compensation was a food/beverage voucher equal to the value of 5 Swiss Francs, enough to buy a bottle of water despite HOURS wasted"
Pro: "The flight itself was great.. However the experience at the airport was terrible.. After placing several calls prior to my departure date to confirm that my 40 inch TV was ok for transportation , it wasn't until I got to the airport to find out that I was unable to take the TV or the TV stand.. I live in Philadelphia and had nowhere to leave it causing me to give it to a stranger in order to make my flight . I am very distraught that the information indicating there was an embargo restricting the transportatione of TV greater 32 inches or boxes to Montego Bay was not given during any of those calls.. I don't understand why that information was not sent in an email prior.. On top of that I placed a call to customs in Montego Bay and was adviced that the embargo is enforced by the airline not customs... If I could some how get some answers regarding this I would appreciate it..."

Contra: "The airport was horrible. Hard to get to the C concourse. "train" is TOO SMALL. It barely fits 10 in each car. International transfer of bags was Horrible, and very far apart from where you get the bags. Poorly planned or not at all planned. We barely had time to make the flight with 1 1/2 hours to transfer and would have missed our flight if it wasn't for a trolley driver who took us from security to the gate. There is no power at the seats. The plane is old and seats were very uncomfortable. Yeah, this was the worst flight."

Contra: "The plane was delayed incoming. Then boarding was interminably long because of overbooking and no overhead room for luggage. It took precious time to load passengers 1 group at a time while bags were checked. Once airborne I saw I only had 10 minutes or less to make my connection in Newark, which I inevitably missed. Poorly scheduled. Many passengers missed connections. It would have been much quicker and easier to advise passengers to check bags at the gate BEFORE the plane arrived knowing it was overbooked. I'm very disappointed in how the entire boarding was handled given the time constraints."
Pro: "Honestly, nothing for this flight. Delayed, rude crew, seat assignment mess up, etc."
Contra: "No food in a previous 4 hour flight, plus being early at gate, plus travel to airport. A lot of time without eating, expensive flights and no food. As a matter of fact only 1 tiny bitty snack for the entire flight. Very uncomfortable plane! Asking to pay for entertainment Direct TV, are you kidding me??? Those tickets are not cheap and you can't provide entertainment? Charging for everything extra is outrageous. Crew was a bit rude. And the people at the counter at the gate -very rude and unhelpful. Flight delayed on Christmas night and no refund for all that time wasted without being with the family. I had seats together with my husband and then seats were removed, asked to see an agent when printed boarding pass and then got separate seats. You are a joke and do not respect the money we pay and prearranged seat assignments. United you are a terrible airline, please strive for better customer service. You charge a lot."
Contra: "I was in the center bulkhead seat with an very oversized man on the aisle seat with a "service dog". It was not a service dog in the sense that it was all over the place--on my feet and in the aisle where it tripped a stewardess more than once and she told him it couldn't be in the aisle. So it pushed over to my seat because the guy was just to big to share his legroom. It shredded napkins the man dropped which a trained dog would not do. it bounced his tray table up causing him to drop his two vodkas. I had to have the stewardess tell him to move his arm and body out of my seat so I could stow my tray for landing. When waiting for my ride outside the dog was off lease and ran into the pickup lanes where the man had to chase him down. A true service dog would never behave like that."
Pro: "The crew were nice though exasperated with cramped new planes and crowded restrooms. Flight was on time"
Contra: "After three years of flying all around US, realized United is the worst of the three major legacy carriers. I'm star alliance gold and it's still a painful experience. Crew admitted in latest redesign of planes they've managed to squeeze another six seats in coach. My seat wouldn't go back but even if it did, would feel too guilty for person behind to do it - so little legroom on newer planes. They've also cut down on restrooms so for most of the flight there was a line of 5-6 people waiting in the aisle. American Airlines seems to have older planes but at least decent legroom (and I'm not tall - anybody over 5'10 would have to sit at an angle on new United planes!). Been very impressed by Delta's service lately. United feels more like Spirit"
Contra: "I upgrade to premium economy. This gave me a seat with legroom -but one that did NOT RECLINE ... on a night flight. I am very unhappy. It was not made clear when I upgraded (must have been very small print). I feel ripped off"

Plus we were delayed 4 hours in this crappy airport only to get on a really crappy plane. We were supposed to arrive in Tampa before 10 but wound up getting in like a red eye at 1230 am. Lost out on our ride home and we were so exhausted. I cried most of this flight home 2 1/2 hour flight. Nice staff but crappy plane. I am waiting to get a call to get reimbursed for my loss of time at work and the missed ride home."

No volveremos a viajar por AMERICAN AIRLINES asi mismo le dejaremos saber a todo el mundo el trato de esta linea con los pasajeros. Gracias a esto nos agravamos la espalda, costillas. Por culpa de ellos por tratarnos como basura. Eso no se hace!!!! Despues q estabamos sentados en el avion el piloto no llegaba y nos tuvieron q bajar del avion, esperar a que llegara otro piloto para volvernos a montar en el avion!!! Q mala coordinacion!!
