What is unacceptable, is that they made no attempt to contact me once the phones were up. I ended up calling the U.S. service center at 1am local time to rebook...only 3 hours before I needed to leave for the airport. It took an hour - which I paid for at direct dial international rates - to find a flight. I'm very grateful for the U.S. service rep who was kind and helpful. She was the one bright spot in this poorly handled situation."

We couldnt even go in and relax inside at restaurants or the gate because online check in wasnt available. Finally boarded a tiny plane that had propellers and a loud take off, if you easily fright on planes probably not the best choice for you. And then someone started smoking on the flight and the attendants had to announce again that smoking wasnt allowed. On and off throughout the flight it smelled like someone was smoking so I wonder if it was even coming from the cockpit."

When I tried to change the baggage weight to 32kg a charge was added for NOT taking the case PLUS the extra for the 32kg case! The cost of a case is reasonable and I would advise to pay the extra £5 for 32kg for most flights. The on-line Seating Selection is also unreliable, I was seated next to an empty seat which had been showing to be unavailable on-line! A response to my query which I sent to Blue Air arrived when I was in the air on the flight! It only repeated the baggage section of the Confitions document! Thank goodness for the excellent airport check-in staff and the Flight Crew!"

But when our flight gate was announced there was another passport control to get into those gates with a big line which threatened to delay our boarding. There wasn't enough room for everyone to put their bags in the overhead locker which meant there were even more delays and it felt a bit rushed to get off. When we arrived I was queuing down the stairs to get to the queue for passport control which took about 45-60 minutes to get through with no toilets. I was also charged 40 euros per person for not checking in and printing the boarding pass which is my fault, but the charges do seem excessive."

Pro: "None of the seats reclined, even the premium seats you pay extra for. I know since I payed for them. Seats are very hard and the boarding process is the worst. They march you out after already standing in the terminal, since there are no assigned seats (typical low cost). I payed for a assigned seat extra, but still had to wait in line, just the one for priority. Then once you go outside of the terminal, you wait again in the weather until they allow everybody to board at same time (not sure how the whole priority line works, since you only get priority to get out of the building). Seats where very hard and did not recline (something you are not worn about when you buy the ticket). The seats were also so flat your neck hurts if you want to sleep. After 3 hour flight the in the late evening it was not comfortable. No food or drinks, only for purchase . They were the same price as the staff in the terminal, so don't bother buying to take on board. Low cost airline, low cost experience is what you need to expect."

The ones next to me were smelly both due to ling time, no see with soap&water and also some wine was involved in their breath, I think. Contra: "They charged me £45 for my hand bag which was smaller than the standard handbags in other airlines, I had bought priority check-in service but still they didn't allow me to check in before anyone else, as I had to go to a separate queue to pay for my smaller than normal sized hand baggage ( in all other budget airlines its more than acceptable and was slightly bigger than Wizz Air allowance), the WizzAir hand baggage size allowance is way way too small and its a trap to make money off unsuspected passengers like myself. They were rude at the boarding gate and non-apologetic. Did not sympathize with me, although they were nice to other white passengers, I felt I was treated differently because of my race, specially after the Paris attack all brown skinned men were viewed as a potential threat I suppose and did not have a good experience in the flight as all passengers were looking at me funny! Point to be noted: On my way to Budapest from London I was carrying the same hand bag and I was not asked to pay extra!! Inconsistent service!"

Contra: "Seating policy - it’s ridiculous to charge passengers to be seated together, even if they’re flying on the same booking. It only leads to on-board seating “trades” and negotiations to get people to agree to swap seats. Embarrassing!"

Contra: "It was required to check in prior to arrival to airport to avoid a fee. I did not have internet access still I arrived. I had to pay 55 euro for a simple check in. Not fair to folks who do not use data for internet nor WiFi. A email could be sent 72 hours but that does not mean people check all emails or they even have access to the web. It’s not a fair or smart business move, I will not book with them again."
Pro: "The price of the flight was fair. I had booked 4 days in advance and overall the seat was comfy, leg room was good and flight crew okay and apologetic about the delays."

The boarding staff member was rather rude and loved talking about how much Ryanair always delayed at the moment, which I felt was odd to be bragging about how the company you're working for isn't performing well and my suitcase was damaged and now has a rather large hole in its side"

When we landed the luggage when to a band that where not in the same building and they took around a half hour to help us out. We have to walk for like 10 minutes"

Ask many people to pay additional 50 Euro. I have traveled for more than 15 countries. Never encounter like this. Hence, I will recommend my friends, classmates and family members never take this airplane company."

Contra: "Takeoff was delayed by 1 hour due to what seemed like a totally preventable clerical error (in pairing a piece of checked luggage and a passenger). This delay reduced our transit options on arrival and also inconvenienced our host. The flight was overheated and uncomfortable. At the freight-level prices, I wasn't expecting food or entertainment, and I was aware the flight would be full, but I was expecting at the least a functional temperature control or effort to use it. Especially during the hour we idled on the tarmac prior to takeoff."
Contra: "Specially, the attention during the flight was horrible. I asked simple things but they were unable to satisfy it. Also, I lost something small but significant in the airplane, and when I asked to baggage services, they answered me in a very bad way, without any intention to help me. Definitely, this was my first and last time flying in Ryanair."

Shuttled everyone back to terminal. More waiting. Then full boarding process again.... Landed in London MANY hours late. Stanstead immigration control was understaffed so HIGE lines. I left Madrid early in the am and lost my entire day ---didn't get back to London until 5pm!"
Contra: "I didn't like anything about it. Spend a bit more and get a real plane and a crew that communicates."
Pro: "The plane didn't seem too old."
Contra: "My checked bag price was more than the cost of my ticket. I didn't realize that there was no checked bag included in the price. Then when I went to the counter to check-in, I had to go to a separate window to pay for the bag, which took about 15min just to process. I have been on other airlines that have had upcharges, but these were taken care of by the same agent that checks you in, 1) I had a charge that I thought was included the price 2) II had to step out of line to a separate line in order to pay and then take the receipt of payment back to the gate agent. Really annoying, especially if you are pressed for time for your flight. It reminded me of Spirit airlines in the US, nickel and diming you all along, where you end up paying almost as much - or more - for a lot less. I had heard stories about the cheap ways of the airline. They have been confirmed and I won't fly them again."
