Frankfurt as the conneecting flight was late too). On top of that mess I have not gotten my speciality meal and eintertaiment system was malfunctioning the entire flight. Crew could not be bothered with bringing over water and didn't exactly respond to call button."

This caused a big problem for me in the airport, where I: 1- Wasn't allowed to catch my flight ti Vinnea and this was both financial and time lost for me. 2- I was locked in Dussluff airport for more than 14 hours, I was threatened to be sent back to USA or any other country. This caused physiological damage for me, as I been treated like an animal 3- I was asked to pay for my new ticket ( Dussloff - Istanbul-Amman )"

Contra: "I wished to change to an earlier flight with plenty of seats available. the Lufthansa ticket agent stated the only way, as I had booked a "light" fare, was to pay a full-price one-way economy ticket--plus luggage--for about 380 euros with no credit for my current ticket. After booking a day-room at a local hotel, I checked in on-line and discovered for 115 euros I could have upgraded to business class, with luggage included, and been accommodated on schedule changes. My suggestion to Lufthansa is if they intend to rip their customers off it's best NOT TO LET THEM FIND OUT ON THEIR OWN WEBSITE, or if they're simply too incompetent to match marketing offers to their booking department they could save considerable income and reputation by closing the ticket office. As it was, the impression was a low-class money grab. It's not like they can count on their partnership with United to make them look good."

Might be hard on those more impaired than I am to handle the stairs down to the bus loading dock and again up into the plane."

Sadly, I was not able to deal with Lufthansa directly. Doubt I would use vayama again."

Contra: "In July 2015 I booked flight from DTW to PMI to visit family over Xmas holiday. At that time there was no warning or indication of an issue regarding our minor child's passport. On our departure date (12/26) my family was denied boarding because our minor child's passport did not show an expiration date 3 months beyond our departure date. Lufthansa never emailed, called, or otherwise contacted us prior to the departure indicating there was a problem. Had I known about this issue I could have resolved it. While at the airport, Lufthansa made no offer for help beyond suggesting we call Delta or KLH. Further, Lufthansa is not willing to offer even a simple travel voucher for a future flight. We had to forfeit the entire flight package and lost thousands of dollars. I highly advise any future customer to make sure you check your passport expiration date if traveling or connecting to any EU country. I would NEVER recommend Lufthansa to anyone."

For next time I know that I have to bring my own food.. so bad! While servis time we ordered whisky with cola and after one hour we went to ask for one more cause we wanted and CA told us they dont serve anymore whisky only wine or beer. Besides this things when I came to plane my sit and table tray was dirty so we had to put blanket over... for the first time I write bad feedback but I have to cause it was terrible.."

Contra: "My flight was Dec 11 at 8:00 from Budapest to Vienna. And from Viena I have to fly to Minsk. So on Dec 10 at 10:00 pm they send an e-mail to let me know that the flight from Budapest to Viena is canceled. I am glad that I decided to check my e-mail before I go to bad. So I try to call Austrian, but they work just from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm. I start to search all the info the site of Austrian, and find one phone number that seats be working 24 hours. So finally I got a person on the phone who was able to help me. ..."
Pro: "Nothing! I ended up losing my plane ticket because of Austrian Airlines lack of empathy with me."
Contra: "First I lost my United Airlines flight because of security reasons. I checked in Guatemala but I was delayed at the Airport's security too long, it was beyond my control. Consequently I got to the boarding gate right when they were closing. Consequently I lost all my connections from then on. The United Airlines was very empathizing with me and my situation and they issued me other boarding passes at no cost. United Airlines suggested me to tell the Austrian Airlines about what happened and they were sure the Austrian Airlines would understand but they were wrong; no understanding on behalf of the Austrian Airlines."
Pro: "The outbound flight from Vienna to IAD had much better service. The return flight from IAD to Vienna, the crew didn't come back to refill water or ask to top up drinks. The food choices were more limited. The entertainment system on the flight needs a larger selection."

Contra: "All flight attendants were great except for one tall with very short blonde hair. What a poor attitude! She really ruined my trip. There was not an exchange with her that was friendly and agreeable. When serving drinks a second time, she asked me what would I like to drink and I answered: What do you have? I had not asked the first time drinks were served since I knew I wanted orange juice. he second time, and not wanted to drink the same, I asked: what do you have? and her answer was: "Same as before". I had to let her know I had not asked before and then she proceeded to tell me the different drinks and finally added: My colleague will take care of you. She did not want to serve me. The first incident went I tried to use the bathroom in the back of the plane, she would tell people: "don"t use that one, I need that bathroom for......." ( not sure for what but her tone was so rude,that people walked to the other bathroom embarrassed). All I can say is that everything else was great, including the friendliness of all other crew, but that one ruined the experience. A third time I got up to walk to the bathroom and the seatbelt sign was on, but so it had been for a long time. She prompted me to go back to my seat. All others seem to do their job without been rude, Not sure why this one couldn't. Job stress? Not the passenger's problem. Besides that and the poor movie choices, everything else was great. I think the flight was delayed but to that point everything was going so smooth, I didn't even notice. I will fly Austrian again, and would love to visit Vienna. Please advise how to add the miles of my trip to my account. I booked in Kayak, left to Ohio from Miami running from hurricane Irma, my return from Ohio to Miami was cancelled and I had to embark on that long plan10 day trip without even returning home to Miami to pack. I totally forgot about putting the miles on my account on either ticket counter."

Contra: "There is not enough leg room. There is even less room if the person in front of one's seat has the seat reclined. The seats barely recline at all, so sleep is impossible. Sleep would be possible if there were enough room to rest one's head on the tray in front of the seat. This is impossible if the person in front of one's seat has reclined his or her seat. Thus, sleep is totally impossible on this aircraft. The sinks in the bathrooms also need to be deeper and need to drain more quickly."
Pro: "The only positive aspect about this experience was the crew on board the plane. They were pleasant and efficient."
Contra: "The true cost of this ticket was extremely poorly communicated. The baggage policy was not clear when I purchased my ticket, and I was charged an additional 30 Euros upon boarding to check a bag that met the carry-on size requirements (I had looked this up ahead of time), but because it was in addition to my purse (which fit under the seat), I was forced to pay to check it. Had I been aware that this ticket only permitted a purse-sized carry-on when purchasing the ticket, I would have selected a different ticket/carrier entirely. What was even more confusing was that I had flown on a similar ticket from London to Vienna, and didn't have any issue bringing a carry-on and a purse, so of course I was surprised when they told me I had to pay an additional 30Euro for the same two bags! When I tried to explain this to the agent, she argued with me and was very unhelpful. Overall, a very negative experience on Austrian Air. I will not be returning."

Contra: "When checking in for my flight in Stockholm, there was no option to pay for the luggage that I had. I assumed that I had an Economy Light ticket, which requires €15 to be paid early (during online check in) or €30 to be paid at the airport. Because their system wouldn't let me check in my bag, I was forced to pay €30 at the airport. No one there would listen to my issue. The woman taking my payment at the airport pretended not to speak English, which was a total lie (the second person in front of me was English, and she spine perfectly). I tried emailing the Austrian Air customer help group, and they basically said tough noogies. They emailed me back several times saying it wasn't their problem."

Pro: "The check-in at Brussels was quick and the staff conpetent; the boarding occurred at the time specified; the plane was clean; in Bucharest, the trip to the terminal on a bus was quick ; a hot lunch of chicken with sauce and rice pilaf was good. In-flight service was fine."
Contra: "The AirFi system allowed for movies and games on one's own internet device, but did not allow for an internet conection during the flight to email or surffing."

I tried to file a claim when I landed, but airport personnel said that for cabin baggage, there was nothing they could do."

Contra: "I tried to make a change to the reservation. They had 4 different romanian phone numbers and all were either busy all day and cut off the call or left me on hold for hours. I finally gave up. Not only did I lose the possibility of a change with a fee I lost the entire reservation completely. I do not recommend them ever if customer service is your expectation."
