This delay prevented us from making our connection to our next flight and now we are staying in a mediocre hotel for the night and have to wake super early and miss a day of fun at our final desitination. In general I would just move on, but we heard the customer service agent reference that they over booked the two flights to Rome. I guess we were the u lucky customers x two flights because we didn’t get a standby seat in the next flight then the prior agent gave us positive hope that we would get on. Lesson- make sure you have at least 3 hours between connecting flights."

I couldn’t check and and customer service of vayama didn’t want to help and asked me to call Iberia. I called Iberia and after staying on hold for 40 min they told me to use the same confirmation number of Iberia flight on British airlines website. After a long day and a long and expensive uber ride I made it to sfo to see the flight has been delayed... never ever ever going to buy an international flight from Iberia, and very hesitant about kayak redirecting sales."

Contra: "When I missed my flight, the airline would not offer assistance because I booked through an online vendor (webjet through kayak) and when I called webjet they failed to help me rebook, made me buy a new flight, then when I called looking for the flight information, they managed to cancel the flight and then claimed I had requested this when I had done no such thing. On top of this they only offer next calendar day booking so even though they are fully responsible for botching up the second flight I booked. I have talked to 10 individuals from different agencies. Everyone passes blame and responsibility off on someone else. On top of everything else, noone but the American Airlines representatives showed any empathy or concern for my being stranded for the night. Based on this experience, I will do everything in my power to dissuade people from using Kayak, webjet, amadeus and British Airways."

Pro: "we got a 787 dreamliner, the coach seats had good space between rows, so we had enough legroom. food - dinner - was tasty, and breakfast was plain but was completely OK. entertainment was excellent, lots of new movies, and also older movies and TV programs. crew was courteous and very helpful, and boarding was quick and smooth. all in all, a very positive experience."

The 2-year-old lap child in the seat with his Mom next to me that kicked, threw, fussed, hit, cried and more through most of the 8-hour flight because somehow a child that big doesn't need his own seat. The seats that were so tight I couldn't get up to use the lavatory when the inconsiderate woman in front of me put her seat back (and I'm totally average size). The awful entertainment selection. The worn, dirty plane."

We don't know if we'll get reimbursed for any portion of this."

Contra: "This was a multi city, round trip starting out of CLT. My connection was way too close, and we missed the connection due to a mechanical problem. The lines to get vouchers were super long, and the hotel was not the best. It was way after midnight when I got to the hotel, and I did not feel safe staying at a Quality Inn. I had to walk to my room outside, and had leave in the morning in the dark as well. I was traveling alone. Please put your passengers in a better hotel, closer to the airport. I did not expect that from American Airlines."

A 40 minute gate change from B29 to A11 in PHX was barely long enough to walk far less find and buy a healthy meal. Yet again I arose at 4am and had nothing to eat until after 4pm. ALL the airlines can do better."

It took one call to British Airlines to get me rebooked. Something american was taking hours. I still won’t make it on time but at least I’ll make it. American then misplaced my luggage and it took two hours to retrieve it. Turns out it was sitting behind the counter the whole time the kept telling me it would be on the baggage flame area."

Contra: "Oh man, I have so many things I need to say. I tried giving AA a chance, but compared to when I flew on WestJest two months prior for almost the exact same trip (I flew to San Francisco versus San Jose that time), WestJet was by far more superior in terms of customer service, boarding organization, and friendliness. First of all, what bugged me profusely was the lack of seat selection and the crazy pricing for certain seats. On WestJet, the emergency exit seats were available without any additional cost, yet AA was charging $66 USD to sit there. Furthermore, seats closer to Business class also carried a charge of $25 (or something like that) - ONLY because you get to board sooner. I would understand if there was extra legroom involved, but really, it's just a matter of sitting and getting off before anyone else. If anything, those seats should be given to passengers who have tight connecting flights and need to get off asap. even in those cases, you shouldn't be charging someone almost $30 just so they can make it to their next flight that YOUR company arranged within such a short time frame. But the most annoying thing about my trip with AA was the fact that I had to take out all of my belongings from my carry-on and carry them in my arms because there was no room left in the overhead compartments. Excuse me?? How is there not enough room? So I had to walk with my laptop, my iPad, my Beats headphones, my laptop and iPad charger, amongst other things, in my hands to the aircraft. Thank goodness I found a plastic bag, because otherwise I probably would have lost something expensive on that plane. Furthermore, as I walked to my seat, there was most definitely places that I could have stowed my carry-on luggage in the overhead compartments. You shouldn't let people put things like purses and bags of food in the overhead, when those can be stowed underneath the seats in front."

Contra: "The plane had several problems mechanically. After we boarded we spent another hour waiting for the problems to be repaired. It added an extra hour to sitting."

Pro: "Although the flight was delayed from San Jose and Chicago yet they reached as per original schedule time"

I have dealt with this before at Pearson I don't understand why it takes large amounts of time to unload bags from the plane? Or why a few bags arrived and the others took 2 hours? I am not sure if Air Canada has any control over this or if it is Pearson's responsibility but I would appreciate if you could forward this complaint to the appropriate folks. Thanks."

Contra: "At 2 hours into the flight I was most of the way through a movie. The crew then announced that some passengers were unable to view the entertainment system so they were resetting the entire system. Crew said passengers would be able to resume watching entertainment at the point they left off. Needless to say this was not the case. The entertainment system never got reset properly and did not function for the rest of the 4+ hour flight."

Pro: "I wish I would have been entitled to check at least 1 luggage without a charge"
Contra: "The staff was friendly"

Pro: "Upgraded unexpectedly"

Pro: "Plenty of leg room"

Contra: "Late again, in the last 4 flights over the last 5-6 weeks I was on time once. Two of the last 3 flights you lost my luggage and both times I was told I would have it late in the day or early evening. 3 weeks ago I received it 36 hours later and yesterday I got it the next morning. 3 weeks ago the overhead lights did not work in almost the entire plan. Yesterday, my movie kept cutting out and the guy next to me and a few others too. I got so frustrated that I shut it off."

Pro: "Great boarding options...Zone 2. I love that."
Contra: "No issues on this flight....took a bit long to board, but overall it was fine. Nice crew. Your entertainment system suck!"

Pro: "On time and staff was friendly."
Contra: "It bothers me a little we have to pay for snacks on the plane. Meals and alcohol I understand. I also miss TVs. I had one flight on my way to Florida where I could watch movies. Need more of that."

Contra: "No entertainment"

Pro: "Seats were comfortable..."
Contra: "Plane windows were really dirt... staff was a bit rude..."

Contra: "If you have a stop in Canada - you must have Canadian visa! Which does not make any sense and no one warned me about that."

Pro: "Very smooth flight crew attendants very nice"
Contra: "There is no TV to watch movied"

Pro: "The boarding ran smoothly and the employees were very nice and helpful."
Contra: "On this flight you had to have an iPad or iPhone to enjoy the entertainment, and I had neither."

Pro: "There was excellent leg room by modern standards seats were comfortable flight was very fast once we left Montreal. Plane was landed very smoothly"
Contra: "Sat at the terminal for well over an hour waiting for fuel, or so we were told. Food was non-existent, except for purchased food. Not even a peanut. Drink selection lousy crew was variable, as one attendant was less than pleasant. others were fine."

Pro: "The food was good and served frequently, and boarding was quick. Connecting flights had a good amount of time between them so there was no stress about catching a flight."
Contra: "Horrible seat in the middle seat of the middle row. Very uncomfortable. Entertainment choices not as good as Cathay flights. Hot tea was consistently too cold."

Contra: "The seats could have been a bit more roomier but other than that I can't complain."

Contra: "We also had a delay and all of my luggage was left in the rain for an extended amount of time where my suits were actually drenched and soaking wet inside of my suitcases."

Contra: "Flight delayed and changed multiple times"

Contra: "More food options would have been great. I asked for the everything bun burger but didn’t get it brought to me."

Pro: "I liked the service of the flight attendants and the crew."
Contra: "The wifi partially worked but I was trying to download songs onto my device and the wifi didn’t let me download anything."

Contra: "More room for overhead bags so checking carry-on isn’t necessary"

Contra: "Service is dismal and run down interior. Rips in seats. Lags way behind Asian or certain European airlines"

Contra: "Stop pretending I can take a carry on. I'm boarding last, and guaranteed I'm going to have to check my carry-on."

Contra: "The seats are getting smaller and the leg space is nonexistent."

Pro: "The crew was friendly. After a week in the Caribbean sun, we were tired and had a low tolerance of everything."

Contra: "I hate it after you land you have to take the stairs to the tarmac and then board a bus in the cold"

Pro: "Everyone was nice, and the flight was on time. Checked in with the app and just a carry on, so my day was hassle free."

Pro: "Boarding went smoothly and there was overhead space for my big backpack. Attendants were nice."
Contra: "We received drinks twice but never got snacks. A bit of food during a long early morning flight like this would have been very welcome."

And yes, in seat power was not working. PS I wonder who decided on the power outlet placement ... 1.5M flying miles on United."

Contra: "steward was somewhat aggressive, but was responsive one on one. Focus on size of carry on baggage was anxiety producing."

Pro: "Plane was a lot cleaner than I’ve been accustomed to. Boarding was great."
Contra: "I want real food on 4 hour flights where there’s only 1 hour between connections. Starving from 4am pacific to 5pm eastern time is not good for my blood glucose levels. Salt and gluten laden over priced snacks are not good enough"

Pro: "Food for purchase available is a good idea on long flights"
Contra: "People don't like surprises. Charging extra for seats, charging extra for luggage resulting in jammed overcrowded overhead bin space are not good ideas. United seats are smaller more cramped than your competitors making for an uncomfortable flight. Flight had no in flight entertainment or ability to charge mobile devices"

Pro: "The crew was very nice and helpful. They saw I am a large person using a crutch for my foot and upgraded me to business economy with an empty seat next to me. The plane was only about half full, so this was easy for them."
Contra: "The in-flight entertainment had an annoying habit of pausing frequently to buffer the movie. I tried to pause it purposely to gain buffer, but to no avail. Because of this, I was unable to watch the entire film. I chose the length to be well below the flight time, so the lack of closure was annoying. There are not enough chocolate choices in the snack menu."

Pro: "Thankful for safe landing , staff was fine."
Contra: "Flight was delayed, plan was leaking something that was discovered when we were taxiing from gate. 1hr 10 min delay"

Pro: "It was good overall"

Pro: "Very helpful wheelchair boarding -- very fendly and professional ticket counter/check-in personnel"
Contra: "Very cramped seating"

Pro: "Staff nice and seat was comfortable."
Contra: "The computers were down in SJC so everyone was waiting in line to check in and drop off luggage. It was a very long and slow process, but staff were friendly and professional even with difficult passengers. The thing that bugged me was they kept telling us not to worry and that the flight would be delayed so that we all could make it. I was the last one on the plane and I know there had to be at least 10 that didn't make it in time. I think the flight was only delayed by like 15min or so. I don't think they should tell people not to worry because the plane will wait for them, when it didn't wait for all. I get it that you want to also please those in the plane already and those waiting at destination so I'm not upset. Just giving feedback."

Pro: "Leg room & comfortable seating. Staff were nice & helpful"
Contra: "They should serve sufficient quantity of snacks in long journey"

Pro: "But as far as I know, nobody was beaten up by your goons. From now on, I will fly United only as a last result."

Pro: "After I boarded the plane I discovered my seat had been assigned to another passenger as well as myself! A bit unnerving but nicely solved by an upgrade to business class!"

Pro: "All the new amenities on united airlines are great the new seats are much more comfortable and have better leg room"
Contra: "No security for the wifi, I work In Silicon Valley and the soft security could be an issue but then again all the airlines lack passwords."

Pro: "All went smoothly this trip"
Contra: "The ability to standby for earlier flights with no added fee"

Contra: "While happy to have pilots concerned about my safety, it was frustrating to suffer thru 2 different mechanical delays. The first one was a missing rivet - which turned out to be so bad they had to put Us in a different plane. Then, that plane developed some mechanical/software issues as we were taxing. My 3-hour flight turned into a +5.5 HR endeavor. When you are on 2 broken planes in a row with the same airline you start to to wonder about how well they are maintaining their equipment. I feel like I deserve more than a "sorry" for the use of my extra time, but no credit or flight certificate was forthcoming."
