Lufthansa business class offers exceptional service. Food and wine selection was good. Entertainment was fair - they need better movie choices.

Check in of luggage the day before
Pro: "I liked almost everything. And according to me, it does not make a difference if we rate things good or excellent at a certain point in time. As long as it is good, it can be excellent. I mean including crew. People have good days and bad days. I am sure the crew can say the same about passengers."
Contra: "What could have been better is: - the email that the airline generates and senda to people a couple of days prior to flight directs you to a site where you are supposed to fill in the blanks. About Covid. The thing is that you cannot submit it unless you as a passenger fill out an Austrian address. The electronic form does not have the option to rule out staying in Austria and indicating that you are transiting in Vienna. I had to fill that form out (at the Address in Austria section) with sentences like “not applicable” “transitting” and also had to google the Vienna Airport address for the zip code so it could be submitted. The form forced me to fool the it. Not cool. Frustrating."
Pro: "The crew members were so sweet."
Contra: "Flight was late. I missed my connection."

Pro: "Absolutely nothing. Despite booking business class flights 3 months before departure date because we had to attend a very important wedding. Swiss Airlines overbooked the flight but didn’t warn us in advance. This meant my husband was forced to pay over 8 thousand Euros to charter a small private je"
Contra: "So That we could attend the wedding early the next morning in Oldenburg. They then had the audacity to void our return flights. Luckily I spoke with a lovely lady at Lufthansa, explained the situation and she re-instated return flights for an admin fee. Will never ever use Swiss Airlines again."
Pro: "I like the food and servise"
Contra: "Transfer in Frankfurt was impossible on time. Had to rebook later flight"
Contra: "Boarding was not organized at all. I was sitting in the front yet I got in almost at the end and barely was able to find a place for my handbags. Ut took way too long and people had to stand for a long time to board. Crew members were not up to par either. I had my earphones and was watching a movie and feel asleep. And everytime one them passes by, they will knock me awake. I was extremely tired and tried hard to sleep yet they kept waking me up every time one of them passes by, no matter how skinny they were! Totally unprofessional."
Contra: "Flight was late leaving, so I had to run across Frankfurt airport to get my flight to the US. My luggage has still not arrived two days after I get to the US."
Contra: "I had a weelchair and nobody assist me in Viene in Austria And I lost"

Contra: "Always an issue getting in/out of planes at Frankfurt. It takes a long, crowded bus ride to the terminal."

We were late from Vienna but Lufthansa held the plane and extra 30 minutes in Frankfurt so that the baggage could make it from the feeder flights and it still didn't. We were promissed out luggage on Sunday evening. No one called and as of Monday morning no news."

For example selling me a new ticket at a special price or with some benefit - I WILL NEED TO FLY TO VIENNA AND KIEV AGAIN WITHIN 6 MONTHS - otherwise; I doubt I would ever buy a Austrian plane ticket again. I AM FLYING ON POLISH AIRLINES RIGHT NOW OCT 25TH."
Contra: "When I try to make the change of itinerary on Austrian Airlines on the selling web page, they told me to contact the Austrian Airlines, so I did. The Austrian Airlines lady who told me that I would just lose my tickets and that I could not even pay a penalty to avoid such thing, was very VERY RUDE!! As the Austrian Airlines did not offer me an option but losing my plane ticket,"

Contra: "Seats become smaller and smaller...and you keep asking about my experience...$2,500 to travel seating in a miniature seat with no leg room is a bit much...and I know no flight company cares about this...we have no choice...either take that or don’t travel, right?"

Contra: "This was an emergency trip to see my mother who was in the hospital. The flight was delayed so I had no option but to board the next day since I wouldn't be able to make it to the connecting flight in Frankfurt. They couldn't give me another connecting flight since it was all full. Because I booked my ticket only hours before my flight, they said it might not be possible to fulfil my meal request since there's a 24 hours cut off. However, now I had to cone back to the airport and take the next days flight which gave the airline more than 24 hours from my original meal request. I still did not get the meal I requested, the crew didn't know about it and didn't have any to spare. This was my first time flying Lufthansa, I probably won't try it again."
Pro: "Visa for India was not checked in Denver. Landed in Frankfurt and discovered that the visa was expired. Stuck in Frankfurt for 3 nights until new visa was issued. No babes the entire time I was in Germany. Arrived in Mumbai after paying the $350 US change fee and no bags. Bags finally arrived on Monday at 9AM Without clothes, toiletries and medications for 6 nights. Now I am delayed and will probably have to pay rebuke and fare change to extend my stay here."

Contra: "My final leg of the trip was delayed by 3 hours, making us sit on the plane. I missed my connection in Minneapolis. Not happy because the airline did nothing to help me get home."
Pro: "The food was okay and the crew did their best to make us comfortable once we were on board. We flew business class, so that was probably a factor."
Contra: "Everything else was horrible. When we got to the airport, they didn't even know we were coming. They sent us to two other airlines, assuming we were flying with a partner airline, then tried to shift the blame onto Kayak. When -- and ONLY when -- we pointed out that we'd actually booked directly through Condor and Kayak had only served as the intermediary, they gave us a direct line to call. Then their agent said "You can't always trust the people at the desk, you know." Oh, really? If I can't trust your own agents, who can I trust, exactly? It turned out that we had an initial flight to Minneapolis, which was NOWHERE on the itinerary, on Sun Country. The Sun Country folks, thankfully, were enormously helpful and we made our flight with 2 minutes to spare. But it doesn't end there. We'd paid for business class all the way, but only got it on the interseas portions of our flights. And they lost our luggage on the way home, to boot. Take home lesson? NEVER FLY WITH CONDOR. I'll walk to Europe before ever booking with them again. And I'll make sure that all my friends and colleagues, all of whom travel extensively, know of our experience."

Contra: "We sat on the runway for over an hour with no explanation as to what was happening. At least overall, we only arrived half an hour late."

Contra: "They ran out of food choices, so I had to go with mushroom pasta."
Contra: "Seats recline too much. When the person in front of you reclines his/her seat, you feel like you're in a tunnel with the seat back just inches from your face. However, the flight attendant was very kind and asked passengers to lift seats for the main meal, which was very nice."
Pro: "The flight itself was fine."
Contra: "Getting to LHR early for. 6:30 am flight was no use since they don't have any departing flights between 11pm and 6 am. So we were stuck in the lobby for hours until ticket agents arrived at 4 am. There was one open coffee shop however. Then we waited for security to arrive at about 4:30 am to get through and it was quite a slow shake down. One through there were no restaurants open until 5-5:30 am. The flight itself was fine. Facilities at Frankfurt were minimal with toilets offering only one stall each. While standing in the long queue a lady and her young daughter were rudely ushered out by the male custodian for cleaning, and then it could not be used for another 10-15 minutes."
Pro: "Priority economy class had enough legroom, larger screens, more space to stretch, even water bottle on a side."
Contra: "The flight was cancelled, I waited on the service center line for over 3 hours and in the end had to take a 8hr train ride in order to get to not completly miss my sailing trip. I arrivd to my boat 10hrs late when I was scheduled to take a 1.5hr flight and would have arrived 5 hours early."
Pro: "Good in-seat entertainment"

Contra: "crowded smelly gate, horrible seats, overcrowded bus out to the plane, which was late. to be fair, this is probably not Lufthansa's fault, unless their arrangement with Tel-Aviv airport always results in these awful gate assignments. we then stood outside on the tarmac on those external roll-up stairways. for a good 15 minutes. waiting to get inside the plane. Full sun exposure in the middle of summer. no sign of the crew. WHY."
