What really bothered me though was paying for a reserved seat and finding out we had been moved to the dreaded back row due to an equipment change. Strongly suggest passenger notification for this move. Was able to re-reserve seats on check in but there were some significant angst when I found out about this mischief."

Also, the food was EXCELLENT, which you don't often hear on a flight. My seat was comfortable and the movie and television selections was great. Will ABSOLUTELY fly with them again!"

I tried to watch the large screen at the front of my section but they showed the movie Lion that is in Hindi and therefore had subtitles and I couldn't read the words from 12 rows back. The boarded process is like a cattle call. DO NOT FLY UNITED!!! I thought I was flying Lufthansa but it was a bait and switch situation."

We had to jump through the lines and cut in front of people explaining everybody our predicament and making people upset. Got back stressed and tired"

They even hand out wet wipes for you before serving food, so you can feel clean! I felt like the seats were pretty normal in terms of size and space in economy class, but obviously, it would have been nice to have a tiny bit more space. Good entertainment options."

We were forced to purchase new tickets, the cost was $2,500, we had to stay overnight in a nearby hotel, the cost was $220. We are returning one day later than planned all because we could not reach you."

Contra: "I am writing to you because of the poor service that I experienced with your Operations Manager in Vienna, Paola Contestabile. I travel internationally four to five times a year for the past decade and I have never had such awful service as for my Lufthansa Flight 2329 on Jun 14th under confirmation #62RZK3. I was on my return flight to the US with the exact same carry on baggage that I had left the US with a week earlier- a roller carry on and a backpack for my laptop. This is my standard everywhere in the world that I travel and have never had an issue. I bought a painting on my trip and checked it in. With regards to my carry on, Ms. Contestabile was insistent that I could only have one piece for carry on. I told her to get the baggage rules and I would read them to her. I am a trained lawyer and value the meaning of words and rules. I explained that I am allowed one carry on and a personal item. She argued that my backback is not a personal item and that only a "laptop" is a personal item. I again explained that my personal item was my laptop bag, the same way a purse is a personal item for a lady. She finally relented and allowed me to pass through security and passport check. I assumed that this was the end of her confusion. Little did I expect that while sitting by the gate waiting to board the plane, Ms. Contestabile would emerge again and declare in front of all of the passengers that I would not be allowed to board the flight if I did not check my backpack. I told her this is unacceptable, since she had already cleared me. She said she had changed her mind. I found this response to be ridiculous. When I asked to speak with her manager, she refused to allow it, stating "I am the manager today." Ms. Contestabile even went to the pilot of the plane and convinced him that I was a "safety concern" because I wasn't following her ridiculous interpretation of the rules. This is a pure abuse of power and a threat to true safety when a ground crew member can make such a false and baseless accusation. Luckily, a woman passenger overhearing Ms. Contestabile told me that she could not believe the way she was treating me and offered to carry my bag for me. I am requesting a formal investigation into her actions and appropriate disciplinary procedures to ensure Ms. Contestabile is not allowed to threaten another passenger again."

The captain never addressed the passengers and the crew - despite being asked to allow passengers with tight connections to depart first - never allowed this to happen. Insensitive and uncaring. We almost missed a connection that would hav caused us to lose $7000. When the crew was asked to find out if we could make up time in the air they never came back with an answer. Thanks Ryan air - next time take a lesson from Southwest Airlines."

This airline needs some serious help, because my flight to Ibiza was also a terrible experience. Would 10/10 NEVER fly with them again."

When questioned why, the response was "you either do it or we won't let you fly. You don't like it? What do you want? It's Ryanair, deal with it." Very disappointing, flown many times with Ryanair but never been treated like that. Also disgusted with the new policy of having to pay to sit next to your partner of the same booking. Disgusting."

Contra: "Our gate number was shown 10 minutes before the gate was supposed to close at 19.05. We were kept standing until 19.35 (when the flight was scheduled to depart) and then the door was opened, just for us to sit on the staircase waiting to be admitted into the plane for another 20 minutes. I understand delays and unforeseen events, but no rep had the courtesy of telling us why we had been kept waiting this way, on the contrary we were told to move further down the stairs so we can make more room, resulting in being crammed one next to each other. Eventually at around 8 pm we were finally allowed to get on the plane. Not a cool experience, especially when Luton is 2hrs away from London so the passengers had already spent at least 3-4 hours on the road to get to the airport."

Contra: "Online baggage size requirements were different from the baggage sizing containers at the airport (at the airport they were smaller), so despite having a bag smaller than what's listed online I was forced to pay to check it at the gate, and they were rude about it to top it off. Boarding was disorganized and slow, and we arrived late because of it."
Pro: "I didn't check in for my flight online (sometimes I do for flights, othertimes I don't. It depends if the hotel I'm at has a printer I can use.) Anyway, Ryanair has a fee for not checking in outside the airport. The fee was 50% of my total flight cost ($54 USD.) I've flown on a LOT of airlines, I've never been charged a fee for airport check in. And even if I had to, if you want to nickle and dime a little bit I get it, you're a budget airline, thats what you're supposed to do. But if you're going to charge RIDICULOUSLY HIGH fees for very common practices as a boarding passenger (I'm not talking about flight insurance or premiere seat selection or other gimmicks but things people do regularly, like checking in at an airport) you better put that front and center during the payment phase of your checkout interface. Pro: "After booking my flight, I heard horror stories about Ryanair, especially about restrictions, checkin, and boarding. None of it was true for my flight--all went very smoothly."
Contra: "The plane was way too hot and stuffy. I am usually cold on flights but this was the hottest flight I've ever been on. Three of us travelling together and all too hot. We had the air vents on full all the time and even though we were wearing only thin sleeveless tops or vest t-shirts we still couldn't get cool. My husband felt claustrophobic from the heat and found it very difficult to get any sleep on this night flight - which is a first for him as he's usually asleep as soon as the plane lifts off."
Contra: "The fact that they charged me over €16 to print my boarding pass at the check in counter was absurd. Not only did I have to pay this ridiculous fee but I had to go to a separate counter to wait in another line to make the payment. While I understand fees for "additional" services, charging for a boarding pass is beyond preposterous."

Contra: "I bought an seat in the second row so I could leave quickly to catch a connecting flight in less than 45 minutes in Madrid. Surprise! Ryanair decided to disembark from the back of the plane, so instead of being the third person off, I was third to last!"
