Check in agent in Budapest was terribly rude and sent us off to the side to "go call united" because "there was something wrong with our ticket." He wouldn't explain what was wrong so we didn't know what to tell United. After standing in a corner for more than 30 mins, another agent offered to help us. It turns out the only problem was that we hadn't completed our check in online, (which we couldn't because the app would not let us input the correct expiration date for our passports) ...and he just didn't want to have to put our information in himself. We could have missed our flight because of his laziness!!! He was also the only person in the whole airport NOT wearing a mask.
Pro: "The flight was quite comfortable."
Contra: "I find it hard work doing such long flights these days."

Pro: "I was amazed how comfortable we were in economy. Pillows, Blankets that felt like cotton. I would fly Lufthansa over an american carrier any day. We passed through the business class cabin on the way out and I can only imagine how much they were pampered!"
Contra: "Since flying in the US has become expensive and painful I was not expecting much from this flight. They exceed my expectations by so much that I cannot think of anything I would change. (Ok, my chicken was a bit over cooked but that was such a minor thing.)"
Contra: "the entertainment kept cutting in and out on itself, and i was listening to classical music and it simply didn't work to hear anything whole. annoying but not critical"
Pro: "Crew was very professional and efficient! Flight was fairly on time"
Contra: "Selection of movies was not the best I've experienced"
Contra: "The Soviet Union wants its airline back. This was perhaps the RUDEST airline experience I've ever experienced. I was at Frankfurt (FRA) airport waiting to board Air Moldova Flight 864 to Chisinau (KIV). Due to a delay caused by Frankfurt security (and no fault of my own), I was delayed in reaching the gate. Since it was past my boarding time, I grabbed my bags from the conveyor belt once past security without having time to repack. I arrived at the gate and the extremely rude Air Moldova gate agent on duty yelled at me and demanded that I give her my boarding pass. When I told her I needed to pack, she yelled that there was “no time for that”. When I searched for my pass, she again yelled and said “NOW!”. When I told her that it was not my fault that I arrived late since there was a delay at security, she said “Not my problem!”. After she checked my boarding pass, I tried to repack and she again yelled “There is no time. Go to the bus NOW!” I once again told her that it was not my fault I got delayed and she again yelled “NOT MY PROBLEM”. In addition to rude employees, the airline is clearly in violation of safety regulations. The safety card in the back seat pocket was written in ARMENIAN – and Armenian only, thanks to the plane having been leased and Air Moldova not appropriately changing the safety cards. How did they expect people who read Romanian or Russian (the local languages) or English to understand it! On top of that, the plane was easily 20 years old or more and dirty. If they can't even keep a plane clean or have the appropriate safety cards, what else are they not maintaining. Do not fly this terrible airline!"
Pro: "I liked that the attendants rushed through a beverage service with the little time they had - didn’t make it to us, but they were trying their best and I very much appreciated their effort."
Contra: "The boarding process is poorly controlled and kind of unpleasant"
Contra: "We had reserved a gluten free meal for my wife. When I went to check in it was gone from our reservation. The crew attempted to put something together so she would have food to eat but the response from their customer support team on the phone was not great. I recommend verifying all meals twice before 48 hours out. On a 7+ hour flight this is not fun."

Contra: "I wasn’t offered earphone headset so I could not enjoy entertainment."
Contra: "There was no information from Lufthanza. There were no lanes. There was no one at the check in desks. There was no crowd control. There was no triage. I was bloody chaos. I arrived 3 hours and 40 minutes in advance of the flight and traveled only 25 feet toward the check in desk in over 5 hours. When we went to the information desk, we were told that the flight would wait for the passengers to be processed...but we never were and the flight took off only 35 minutes later than scheduled. it was the worst flying experience I have had in over 50 years!"
Pro: "Food, drink, viewing options on the personal monitor."
Contra: "The seats are terrible! Too small and way too close together!"

Contra: "Frankfurt airport is dreadful. I'm elderly and being forced to climb up and down stairs to the Tarmac with luggage and then crammed into a bus to the terminal was terrible. I would avoid Frankfurt at all costs. Lufthansa needs to take some initiative with this."
Pro: "The crew was very nice and the food was good. Very uneventful, easy flight."
Contra: "Definitely not enough leg room"
Contra: "Took a few time to ask for my kosher food. Crew couldn't locate me on the list, than the were out of kosher food, gave me regular breakfast, which I couldn't eat more than granola. It was pre-ordered, and I called to confirm a week ahead."
Contra: "Flight was delayed yet again, waiting area was cramped, information on connecting flights was incomplete."
Pro: "Good food and movies"

Pro: "I liked the plane and the crew, that was it. The plane was 3 deep on both sides with an abundance of space for a aircraft of its class."
Contra: "There was no update on the status of our connecting flight. The pilot gave an update of other flights except for ours but it caused a bit of confusion. Some people even had to missed there flights altogether! Lufthansa, from the 4 times I have flown with them always seems to be late with no sense of urgency. Ultimately after arriving in Venice, I get an email that my bags did not make it, yet I was told by the boarding agent that the plane was still loading our bags."
Contra: "bad weather, not your fault"

Contra: "Flight was late, having to be bussed to the airplane and from the airplane, prefer gates."
Pro: "Lufthansa service is always incredible. Food is better than most other carriers and so is entertainment. Had a delay due to incoming flights, but staff made sure we had plenty of water and snacks while on the tarmac."
Contra: "I did not go because i canceled my flight and am still waiting for my refund since 23 May. I will probably never use Kayak again. Not happy... far from satisfied. ~AC"

Contra: "when we first boarded and went to use the restroom before the flight departed, the floor was sticky and smelled strongly of urine. had they even cleaned it on the turnaround? doubtul. several other toilets also smelled like urine early in the flght. the touch-screen on the entertainment interface is not very user friendly and was kind of frustrating."
Pro: "I have a servere hearing problem and was concerned (since we were late leaving Zurich for my changeover in Frankfurt), that I would be late because I can't hear any loudspeaker systems (either on planes or in airports). I felt that I could get easily lost between flights and not have time to get to the Frankfurt/Denver flight. I told this to the person at the gate in Zurich, and he immediately arranged for someone to meet me in Frankfurt and take me there. I was met by Maika in Frankfurt and she was just excellent--personable and efficient and really helpful. I'm sorry I couldn't remember the name of the person at the gate in Zurich. He was also great. I wouldn't have done this if I had had more time, but this really made my day (and my flight!) ! Thank you!"
Contra: "Boarding in Zurich is tough for infrequent travelers because all the desks say SWISS. And it took me a long time to realize that SWISS handled many airlines. Perhaps the signs could be bigger."
Pro: "Price was right. Aircraft was clean & maintained to high level. On time departure and arrival."

Contra: "The announcements from cockpit were very hard to understand, even in English........they were speaking very fast. Also the announcements made at the gate were difficult to understand."
Pro: "Almost nothing was enjoyable about the overseas Lufthansa flights I took. This particular flight, however, did not make me sick like the initial Lufthansa flight to Europe. I also appreciated that the crew asked the passengers in front of me to put their seats up during meals."
Contra: "The overseas Lufthansa flights have the least space of all the flights and trains I took throughout my trip, including other Lufthansa flights within Europe. The bathrooms were more cramped and fewer in number for an overbooked flight, boarding was disorganized and delayed, the passengers in front of me put their seats all the way back for most of the flight, and seriously, just a few more inches of space would make these long flights 104% better. I think everyone would be happier to fly on less awful planes, including the poor crew who has to deal with miserable passengers."
Pro: "The crew was very carrying and attentive. Even food was okay."
Contra: "I asked at the Frankfurt Airport if we could do upgrade to Economy Premium.... The answer was NO !! The plane was full. On the plane there was an announcement that there is 2 seats available at EP..... At this point I was so upset that decided not to go for it. The land crew didn't do their job !!! Well...."

Contra: "You need better food and be equipped to be able to give ALL the passengers a choice of meals. We had a choice of pasta or chicken but when the got to the back of the plane there was only pasta left for those who wanted chicken, such as myself. Also maybe offer a vegetarian meal. Could also improve on boarding. Perhaps start with the people that have seats in the back of the plane first to make it easier to board and not block the aisles, instead of having everyone board at once and causing traffic in the aisles for those that have seats towards the back of the plane. Also need more comfortable seats for such a long flight."
