Pro: "I was late ( I had to drive 230 Km ) and I managed to call in advance the company that was doing the check-in on behalf of SWISS - I asked them the Check-in time closing time and by almost flying ( speeding like crazy ) I arrived before that moment."
Contra: "I did not check the terms and conditions of the ticket. I am a Star Alliance Gold member and I was expecting SWISS to have a similar booking system like the others I fly with. I found out that the ticket fare did not contain checked luggage ( so I had to pay a hefty fee for it ) and also my 20" wheeled case that was ok in all the other flights I took it with me, this time was oversized and overweight . My wife took out the 2 laptops so it became within weight limits but still oversized - My wife paid for the fee ( I wasn't there at the time and she is not a such experienced flyier as I am ) . When I found out about the fee, I checked their rules and I found out that the hand luggage is allowed to be 22" . I saw in the airplane a lot of people with cases having the same size as mine, that went as checked luggage at a cost fo around 40 . I want to see how can I get my money back . . ."

The flight crew seemed to made up for much of the delay by flying faster or more directly so the total flight time did not increase by 30 minutes. Fortunately this was our final flight segment so the delay was not a problem."

We call this a "racket" in the United States."

What is unacceptable, is that they made no attempt to contact me once the phones were up. I ended up calling the U.S. service center at 1am local time to rebook...only 3 hours before I needed to leave for the airport. It took an hour - which I paid for at direct dial international rates - to find a flight. I'm very grateful for the U.S. service rep who was kind and helpful. She was the one bright spot in this poorly handled situation."

Contra: "1st, neither seat that I selected when checking in were given to me. 2nd both aircraft took off late for no apparent reason. 3rd When waiting to board in Warsaw, I was almost bitten by a large pit pull that a passenger was bringing into the cabin as a comfort animal. When I and several other passengers question the desk at the gate about the bringing a large vicious dog into the plane, we were told they were to busy to deal with us even though they were just standing there doing nothing. I have never seen such rudeness towards passengers as I did at that gate. I will take a ship across the Atlantic before I go through Warclaw again."

Contra: "I purchased my ticket through Kayak on priceline.com In the description of the fair it was specifically stated that I'm allowed 1 checked in bag. The airline did not send me the standard check in and flight information email, so when out of concer for my flight, I logged in a few hours before to find out that all the good seats were already taken. When I then proceeded to online check in, I was dumbfounded to find out that I do not have any luggage allowance. When I called their English language help line I was connected to a prerecorded message and then promptly connected to a Polish speaking person. Lucky for me I speak some Polish, but if you do not you would have a problem.
