Gate agents were horrible, the entire onboarding process was chaotic and it lacked coordinatio. They showed attitude towards anyone who had questions or frustrations. This has happened in the past with Lufthansa. We won’t be flying this airline again.

Contra: "I din't like the fact that Lufhtansa company uses double standards for the countries where they have their flights. From USA, San Jose, Ca, to Frankfurt, Germany everything was good (flight on 08/31/2018 - 09/01/2018). They have been very profesional, beganing wih the boarding time untill the arrival in Frankfurt. The flight to Romania was a different story. They haven't been very professional at all. The flight had a delay and nobody said a word. It was just a clerck there who didn't tell to the Lufthansa passengers for a while anything about our delay. So, finally, he said after 15-20 minutes that our fligt will be later, 20 minutes, than the scheduled time on our tickets. They seemed do not care too much about the Romanian passengers."

Contra: "1. The comfort in economy class was insulting and horrible. I am 6'3", 175lbs and was trapped in one uncompromisingly uncomfortable position for 8+ hours. Torture is a word that comes to mind. If I were a smaller sized person, 5'8" or less, perhaps this may be acceptable, but for anyone over 6'. forget it. You must pay loads extra to be given a respectable seat. I am hopeful that I don't develop a blood clot from this flight. This lack of room is a seriously dangerous situation for many people on long-distance flights. 2. The seat recline feature added further insult to the mix. Once airborne, the lady in the seat in front of me sent her seat into what was left of any personal space or legroom I had. The video screen on the setback in front of me was literally 6" from my face now. Several people who were also of taller size complained, one was so adamant about retaining his space that he fought verbally with the lady in front of him, and eventually a stewardess had to be called. My wife complained on my behalf, and was able to get the lady in front of me to reposition her seat, but eventually, I noticed it somehow found its way back to recline again. I know Lufthansa is not alone with this predicament, but something HAS TO BE DONE to fix this huge problem with air travel. 3. The food on the flight to Germany was way better than the return trip. The meal consisted of mushy carrots, greasy mashed potato-like side, and a piece of OK chicken smothered in 'Murican BBQ sauce. I was insulted. Lufthansa had been better than this in the past. Oh, and the dinner roll was so dry and crumbly, it could have been weeks old. The snack before landing was called pizza, but I wouldn't call it that It was a bunch of tasteless dough, a little bit of tomato like sauce and a smattering of cheese. I wish Lufthansa would stick to what they do best; German-influenced food. Be true to who you are. Most people I know love German food, and I always have looked forward to LH food selections. Not now."

I was delayed 3 hours first flight, 1.5 hours second flight after watching two flights that I “wasn’t allowed” to be on depart right in front of me at 9 and 10 instead of the 11 that they rebooked me on. Once I landed in Lisbon after the second flight that o wasn’t supposed to take. We missed the connection by 5 minutes and there were many people flying to my same destination. I had to wait 5 hours in Lisbon when I shouldn’t have ever went to Lisbon. I bought a ticket from Newark to Zürich through Porto 10 hours in total. I think TAP overbooked everyone and seated us on purpose. The secondflight was delayed due to “bad weather” and it was perfectly nice outside. Shame on TAP. I’m sure other people are complaining."
Pro: "Everything went according to the timetable, boarding was on-time and we even arrived a bit earlier than scheduled, so I can't really fault the service of the pilots, the cabin crew or the ground operations team. Food wasn't exactly stellar, but clearly a lot better than on most European flights operated by larger companies (Lufthansa, KLM, Air France etc.). The aircraft itself was clean and looked fairly new and well maintained"
Contra: "The seating was absolutely HORRENDOUS. Even though I'm nearly 6'3" (close to 1.90m), I generally never complain about seating space or legroom, even on low cost flights. This particular TAP aircraft, however, despite looking quite new, had some of the most cramped seating ever. Additionally, the trays were minuscule (you could barely place the entire food tray the service during the flight, let alone have another drink at the same time on the tray). Also, on the inbound flight (this was the return one), the seats were fitted with a very simple and clever tablet-holding mechanism, so you could easily watch something on your table while eating your food (from a similarly small tray table). The seat back pockets do not have any material/fabric on the sides, so stored items could easily slip out sideways from the pocket. Shame to have such a good in flight service and to be a punctual airline if you're going to carry your passengers cramped like cattle in seats 'rivalling' the ones on Ryanair flights on 4-hour long journeys."
Contra: "Passenger was refused at check in because, according to the counter clerk, the ticket was not purchased in the country of residency but online in US. As a result, i lost the money, the passenger did not fly, and no refund was issued. this is the first time i ever heard of such BS. Not happy."

If we were going to spend 1k on a return flight, we were going to take British Airways. TAP, never again."

The flight was delayed multiple times. The first time it was delayed because they were doing an extra security search by hand in the Gated area awaiting to board the plane. I have never seen this in my life and it was definitely started. Then we were on board the plane for almost an hour before they made an announcement that they found a broken part on the plane and had to switch planes. It was all very fishy. Quite frankly that I want my money back."

It turns out they could have served but preferred to adhere to their union under the guise of passenger safety and remain seated the entire flight doing crossword puzzles and the like which definitely made me feel much safer."

Departure delayed by around 3 hours due to crew absence linked to coronavirus. Can't be helped but BAs offer of refreshment was only available prior to check in which is completely useless to those that arrive and pass through security and border control early.
Pro: "Flight overall was unremarkable. Aircraft was almost twenty years old and looked it."
Contra: "Boarding via a bus was painful and inefficient. BA is selling more flights than it can accommodate at Terminal 5. Because plane was so old, the screens for the entertainment are laughably small and faded. Seats themselves are tired, with wobbly and dirty tray tables, and seatbacks that don't recline properly. Seat power is the outdated Empower standard, which doesn't work without a special adapter which virtually nobody has."

A cottage cheese bagel was the last thing I wanted to see and when we asked for some water, we were told that there was none available. We landed at 06:25 but then had to sit on the tarmac for 15-20 minutes as there were no vacant gates for us. (This had the effect of increasing the parking fee for the driver waiting to pick us up, as he was not aware that we were sitting on the tarmac). Please note all times are New Orleans times. Hence actual time of landing was 12:25 BST. And talking of New Orleans, I would not class this as an International Airport. It is dilapidated, inefficient and lacking facilities."

Contra: "We rebooked our flight to another flight firvthe following day and that one got canceled too. They have not returned our luggage yet. They said within a week we'll get our luggage. The worst company on the planet. Do not fly them. Our vacation has turned into a nightmare. We had to repurchase tickets with a different company so we can get to our final destination. We don't know if we'll get reimbursed for any portion of this."
Pro: "Food and drink service was good and without additional cost and crew was very cordial and attentive.In flight entertainment with good amount of choices. On time and better than most in comfort in Economy. Toilets were clean and with all needed."
Contra: "Would like to see more two seats row choices rather than three."
Pro: "The flight was fine..."
Contra: "But Dulles Airport needs to control the level of toxicity experienced when certain entitled passengers think they have to pack the tarmac shuttle under NO PARTICULAR AUTHORITY, shouting "MOVE BACK [YOU] PEOPLE" into the closest ear. There should be someone other than the driver on those shuttles monitoring people, since they obviously need a babysitter."
Contra: "The jet was freezing. I had two blankets on and was still shivering for the entire flight."
Pro: "Comfortable flight. Slept right the way through."
Pro: "I missed my direct connection to Bucharest from London, I had to arrive 12h later and fly to Bucharest through Vienna. One of my luggages was lost and after 3 days still haven't heard back. I was given a number to call and ask for new regarding my luggage and no one ever picked up. Tried calling it for days. The woman from the British Airways counter literally told us 'I'm not going to apologize for delaying you for 12 hours since it wasn't my personal fault'."
Contra: "Never flying with them again. Terrible service, uncomfortable, delayed by 12h, and had to travel for a total of more than 24h."
Pro: "Airport staff was amazing, helping us out with seats considering one of us was needing assistance due to health condition"

Contra: "I choosed this very very expensive flight because it was so import to be home in CPH at 9.00 for an important meeting. My flight from Chicago was delayed and nothing was done by the pilots to arrive on time. Despite the delay, I managed to arrive on time to my Connecting flight to CPH - only to realize that I was moved to a later flight. Now I have spent 2.300 USD on a poor flight that do NOT bring me to my destination on time. I am a frequent flyer, and will do everything I can Avoiding United going forward. Never United again"

Pro: "The staff was always very helpful. I carry a saxophone and everyone was always very open to accommodating me, which I really appreciate! Also, great legroom, great pilots, positive attitude."
Contra: "The added fees for food and beverage were a little tough. I would understand if the flights were shorter, however we had several-hour delays in a time period from lunch through the middle of the night, and were not offered any sort of voucher or food item. Then my bag got lost (which I understand with the weather issues that caused delays), but it left me in a city with no clothes, very hungry, in an hour past public transportation hours. Which is not THEIR problem, but I would have definitely appreciated some assistance of some sort."

Get people on and seated instead of by group. We left 30 minutes late because of it. Overall the flight was fine. I just thought the crew seemed apathetic and indifferent to the passengers."

The flight was oversold, luckily I was able to get a seat (like I had booked and planned for) but my flight was horribly long. I was stuck next to someone that was drenched in perfume, it was so bad it hurt my sinuses. Since the flight was oversold there were no seats where I could move. Not like the attendants would have helped me anyways. I will not fly United again if I can help it."

Pro: "The availability of free entertainment on the plane was a positive. The stewardess also was accommodating in giving me both a soda and water."
Contra: "We arrived 1 hour early to a line for checking bags that did not move for nearly 1 hour. There were staff behind the desk that were standing around on their phones and meanwhile there were lines longer than I have ever seen just waiting to be helped. The fact that check in etc was all in one place at the MSY is baffling. I paid ahead of time to check my bags but still had to wait in line behind people who had not even checked in for flights that appeared to be stopping in at least two destinations. Once we finally got to the counter, the staff member informed us that they were re-routing our trip. No apology was offered. When I conferred with my travel companion about the best option to re-route, the employee said "Sir I am speaking to you. Not that man." I tried to explain that this man was my travel companion who I needed to travel with because we were in-fact going to the same destination and had planned additional transportation together and that I needed to know if there was room for two people on this flight so that we could proceed onto our route together. After being interrogated about why my companion was not on my reservation, the employee told us that 12 people would not make the flight we were supposed to be on. She then took our bags (we have now been in line to check bags for almost 1.5 hours). Fast-forward to the return flight. We are supposed to depart at 7:15, but were delayed to 8pm, then 8:30, then back to 8pm, then to 8:25, then 8:40, then 9pm between the times of 11am and 8pm. Our trip to the airport that included two trains was significantly more stressful as these projected times were changed because we went from being on time to late to on time all within the span of an hour. The employees on the return flight were helpful in making up for the numerous delays but the confusion that seemed to hover over the company made me feel like nobody cared about whether we reached our destination."
