Pro: "Turkish Airlines offers an experience much better than your average two-hour plane hop in the U.S. There was a full meal served, staff were kind and didn’t try to sell a bunch of extra stuff to you, and there were many choices for in-flight entertainment."
Contra: "Unfortunately, the children on the plane were really poorly behaved and loud. In addition, the flight was delayed by 1 full hour and when we arrived in Vienna our luggage (and the luggage of many other passengers) had not been sent with us. We waited in line for luggage for 30 minutes, then another line for at least 30 more minutes to report the missing bag, and we were then told that it wouldn’t arrive for another day and would be delivered to us within a 3 hour window in the middle of the day. This was essentially an entire night and day lost to a mishap that the airline didn’t even notify us of when we landed. Pretty frustrating."

Contra: "On the registration checking in in Boston Logan Airport they did not tell me that I as an american citizen must have a visa. After arriving to Turkey they refused me to get in and sent me back to the states. I want refund all my expenses on this trip."

Contra: "I had a big problem with the Baggage allowances on this particular flight. I was only allowed 20kg on a long (8hr) international flight, one which I was moving around the world for. If the policy was more like 40kg, there would have been no problems whatsoever and my trip would have been the best I have experienced in a long time. I suggest they improve their regulations quickly to widen their customer base."

We ended up storing our bags under the sits in-front. The way it was done it was rude and with no consideration for our comfort."

Contra: "Tray table was broken, I was downgraded from Comfort plus to main cabin after a plane swap with no mention by anyone and no compensation. Flight was delayed 45 minutes because a flight attendant was running late and then to top it off, at the end of. The flight the attendants blocked anyone fromaim cabin from leaving until all of first class had departed, even when no one was coming they still Blocked it off. This is a practice I have never seen on delta and haven't seen in aviation in almost 20 years in the US"

We were told that in Europe passports cannot expire within 3 months of your departure. However, Delta never let us know about this rule until we literally were boarding the plane. How they could not make us aware of this until we were boarding the airplane is unbelievable and unacceptable. This has ruined our vacation which has been in planning for the last six months."

Negligent in informing us rapier when i chose seats for the flight. The flight was also delayed 2 and a half hours. We now have no vacation for which we paid $3000."

Pro: "Crew was superb!! Very attentive and extremely willing to help people when called upon."
Contra: "Aircraft entertainment screens were not working at all at a lot of seats. Airbus 330-300 was dated and the cabin amenities were in disrepair. But overall the flight satisfied everything that was needed!"
Contra: "They took an extremely long time clearing away the dirty dinner trays, which meant that the tray table had to be down. This made it near impossible to get up to use the restroom or to stretch."

Pro: "Everything went according to the timetable, boarding was on-time and we even arrived a bit earlier than scheduled, so I can't really fault the service of the pilots, the cabin crew or the ground operations team. Food wasn't exactly stellar, but clearly a lot better than on most European flights operated by larger companies (Lufthansa, KLM, Air France etc.). The aircraft itself was clean and looked fairly new and well maintained"
Contra: "The seating was absolutely HORRENDOUS. Even though I'm nearly 6'3" (close to 1.90m), I generally never complain about seating space or legroom, even on low cost flights. This particular TAP aircraft, however, despite looking quite new, had some of the most cramped seating ever. Additionally, the trays were minuscule (you could barely place the entire food tray the service during the flight, let alone have another drink at the same time on the tray). Also, on the inbound flight (this was the return one), the seats were fitted with a very simple and clever tablet-holding mechanism, so you could easily watch something on your table while eating your food (from a similarly small tray table). The seat back pockets do not have any material/fabric on the sides, so stored items could easily slip out sideways from the pocket. Shame to have such a good in flight service and to be a punctual airline if you're going to carry your passengers cramped like cattle in seats 'rivalling' the ones on Ryanair flights on 4-hour long journeys."

Pro: "Very nice flight. Complimentary wine, meals and movies. We were in Economy Plus so the leg room was quite good."
Contra: "We had to pay $200 each way to check in a luggage and just pick regular seats. That was not clear when we bought tickets. Additionally, they don't announce the gate until 30min before boarding. If you're going through passport control that can be a 45min process. On top of that even though I paid $100 to reserve seats, when we arrived at the gate the seats we reserved weren't reserved. Why did I just pay $100?! Luckily I had receipts. Our connecting flight was delayed 4 hours, making our layover 7 hours! For an hour flight. This is the worst airline."

Contra: "I don't think I have ever rated any service negatively, but here's my first. TAP completely ruined my birthday trip that I have saved up for a long time for. DO NOT TRAVEL WITH THEM! I had a valid Schengen tourist visa issued by the Consulate of Portugal. At the time of visa issuance, the printer of the Consulate was not functioning, so part of the visa information was hand-written, but it was properly signed and stamped. The Consulate told me it's valid and said they have been doing so for ten years. The Consulate also said that they, not the airlines, have the sole authority to determine the validity of the visa. When I went to the airport to check in with TAP, TAP staff denied me boarding because they did not believe my visa was valid. I only learned later that this action was inconsistent with TAP's own internal policies. The staff at the kiosk told me that I could either ask for a refund or rebooking of the ticket. But when I called TAP the next day, I was told I could not get a refund even though they should not have denied me boarding. I called TAP many times and got a different answer each time. They simply refuse to compensate me for their own mistake. It's the most horrible travel experience I've ever had!"
Contra: "Flight got canceled and delayed, staffs very mean and unprofessional"

Contra: "my luggage was opened somewhere along the way. My gift for my child was stolen. Ugly ! Very ugly !! I got home, I unzipped my bag and I do not have a pair of sneakers that were a gift for my baby and some other sweets, my luggage was half empty! The face of my disappointed kid broke my soul, that should not have happened."
Pro: "I liked the foot rests and leg room. The gluten-free meal was wonderful."
Contra: "Although I had a delicious gluten-free dinner roll with the main meal, I was served a soggy rice cracker for breakfast. Why not another roll?"
Contra: "Leg room was NOT enough. Had an altercation with the person sitting in front of me when she wanted to recline her seat."
Contra: "Our flight leaving Boston was delayed by 2 hours due to a mechanical issue. So, we missed our connection in Lisbon to Venice (our final destination). We were rerouted from Lisbon to Rome and then to Venice, turning our 2 leg journey into a 3 leg flight. We were offered just 16 euros worth of food vouchers for our trouble. We asked for lounge access because missing our connection meant we had to cool our heels in the Lisbon airport for 3 hours until our flight to Rome took off. We were told we'd have to pay for the lounge! Then, our flight to Rome was delayed. We stood at the gate for 40 minutes past boarding time. No staff even announced that the plane was delayed or how long we should expect to wait. When we finally got to Rome, we had 10 minutes to make our connection to Venice. We lost an entire day in Venice."

Feel as though they should've come around and gave waters, etc to passengers. Also could have improved the selection of in flight entertainment, not many offerings"

Pro: "The service they provided us reminded us of how airlines used to treat their customers in the past. Meals were provided as was entertainment (there were individual tv screens for us to watch movies on) all for no additional cost to us. From the customer service to the services provided and the legroom on the flight -- everything was more than what we expected and we would consider flying TAP Portugal again."
Contra: "Schedule was impossible to make the connection due to the need to go through customs which took 45min. Flight was delayed and we missed our connection. The delay was over 6hrs which was rough."
