Flight delayed by more than 9 hours from Doha to Seattle. Passengers were not offered any compensation for the trouble faced

Pro: "I really enjoyed the flight, which was almost 15 hours long. I give an overall 4 star review for this flight. The boarding process was pretty organized (without including the ignorant passengers who can't read their zone numbers, haha) because they called us up group by group, in a speedy process. Even inside, the cabin crew welcomed us aboard and showed us where our seats are. This leads me to my 5-star rating of the service. Very warm, friendly, and generally helpful cabin crew Qatar Airways has. They fulfilled all my needs even if they had to go out of their way. As for entertainment, I was very surprised at how many great movies they have! Especially the new ones! I would not be bored again with this selection. Food was okay to be honest. It was a hot meal that satisfied my hunger and tasted good, but maybe it's just me and airplane food. Doesn't taste right for me. And to be honest, I was cramped. Not even me but many other passengers felt like the seats were too small. Overall, Good experience!"

Contra: "i have requested the child meal on the web site and also requested the seat preferences, however when i boarded the flight, i came to know that they have only honored the seat preferences but not the food. on the serving menu, the veg option was available but we informed that the veg is available only if we have requested it on the web site, i had to survive with add-on food but not the real meal. crew were struggling to serve food for us."

I said that my child had just vomited but there was no offer to help me clear it up they just continued serving food to other passengers. I had to search for someone to help me to clear up and then I felt as though I was an inconvenience. I then had to look for someone to bring food for myself and other child. My other child is 1yr and 11 months and I was told they were only allowed baby food not a child meal. Although there were a few spare seats on the plane I was squashed into a full row with a 3 yr old and one year old on my lap. I appreciate that there may not have been any bassinet seats left but would have been helpful not to be on a full row as a single adult travelling with two small children. No offers for assistance with bags."

Transit in Munich airport was terrible, staff is rude! Sitting on row 53 was bad the food was not enough.
Poor seating, poor leg room
Flight was overbooked. Food was awful. Seats in economy class are a torture: narrow, not enough leg room. The airplanes classes are like casts: rich, average and poor…That system is a shame. Pilots were Excellent !!! Thank you!!!!

Air Canada is by far the worst Airline on the face of this planet. Only delays and overbooked flight with very poor customer support. Avoid them at all cost!
Expected A320neo as per the booking, got a 28 years old A321. Still no food service. Not impressed at all this time by Lufthansa.

I ended up calling the U.S. service center at 1am local time to rebook...only 3 hours before I needed to leave for the airport. It took an hour - which I paid for at direct dial international rates - to find a flight. I'm very grateful for the U.S. service rep who was kind and helpful. She was the one bright spot in this poorly handled situation."

I liked that the plane wasn't full so I could stretch out. I didn't like that there wasn't much of a choice of cuisines.

Contra: "Very poor service. Did not offer drinks. When asked for drinks the crew said they are doing duty free and did not serve water or drinks."

Contra: "The boarding crew from Edinburgh did not allow me to bring my carry on despite it being very light and within size restriction. They said this was because the plane was already full with others' luggage and could not handle my bag for safety. Had to shove my things in a Tesco carrier bag and in my daughters small backpack on wheels. The backpack broke later as it was not made to carry more than a few books. And to top it off, the suitcase I was made to check never made it on my connecting flight to Chicago. I am still waiting for it to be delivered 36 hours later. This suitcase is virtually empty. Well, it's actually carrying a pair of sunglasses and my phone charger. totally inconvenienced and the crew saved the plane from being dangerously overloaded by an empty suitcase. Absolute nonsense."

Contra: "Lack of punctuality. For any flight through British Airways, do not expect to be on time. Both flights were delayed; significantly so that the group I was with ended up missing the connecting flight (that shockingly left on time)"

All flight attendants were smiling, friendly and kept coming through the economy cabin with orange juice and water to make sure we were all well hydrated. We received lunch, movie snacks, and a mini pizza lunch. The only meal that wasn't great was the mini pizza."
Contra: "The only minor issue we had on this flight was that our entertainment units stopped playing movies 4 hours before we landed. The cabin crew tried resetting it a few times and tried everything they could to fix it, but it didn't work. They did compensate us for the inconvenience so that was nice."

Contra: "Only thing I can complain about is that we sat on the ground for over an hour and left 1.5 hours late. We had a layover before our connecting flight so it wasn’t a problem for us."
Contra: "When I bought the ticket I thought it was air Canada but it was air Canada rouge so no food no entertainment tried to download air Canada app but took about an hour to get 10 percent done so flew with no entertainment no drinks no food nothing. Boarding was a pain had a three year old also had to pay extra 50 dollars for my baggage. Typical air Canada nonsense. Would not use them again."
Pro: "The staff were very friendly and professional. The trip to the Maple Leaf Lounge always a great experience!"
Contra: "For a business class ticket, the food was not the best. There was no service of any kind until we got in the air. Most airlines in business class will at least give you a drink while u are waiting for everyone else to board."

Contra: "Plane was overweight due to the plane carrying luggage from a previous flight. This is poor logistics planning on Air Canada. We were delayed by an hour and waited inside the plane on the tarmac while they removed the extra luggage to reduce weight."
Pro: "These were all LH code shares with Air Canada. Checkin and boarding at CDG 2A is the best you can do there. Only a short walk from checkin thru immigration and security to the gate. Also Air Canada checked my bag to HNL. There were US immigration and customs, small scale and quick, in Vancouver but no requirement for baggage inspection unlike awful LAX. For future trips between HNL and Europe, I am flying Air Canada via Canada."
Contra: "White wine was room temp."
Contra: "At the gate, we were told our plane would leave soon. An hour later, they announced the flight was cancelled and we were briskly escorted out of the terminal, told to go through customs and pick up our luggage, which had never even made it on to the plane. They were not re-booking flights at the airport, and the phone lines went to a voice mail message telling us to call back in a few days. I was stranded in Toronto with no phone and no where to stay. It's a week later and I still have not heard anything from from, even though I've called and emailed and sent snail mail."
Pro: "Help provided by the whole staff"
Contra: "I don't remember anything from sleeping too much."
Pro: "My good friend John came to pick me up even though it arrived at 1 am instead of 9 pm....."
Contra: "The wait for plane to be ready. There was a technical problem which delayed it. They gave us a discount coupon and I don't even know what kind of discount we will get. They should have just given us a free one way for a similar route."
Pro: "Flignt from Honolulu to Vancouver delayed. Return flight also delayed."
Contra: "Flight cancelled until the next day and then delayed again without sufficient notice . Air canada hasn't offered us anything worth making up missing a day out of our vacation"
Pro: "I hated both my trips with Air Canada. I payed extra for a better seat and the one I got was dirty. The tv was NOT working. On top of the 5 hours delay, I hated all the experience. The attendants messages is never clear and focus. It's like Air Canada is employing teenagers with NO work etics or professionalism. I am a frequent flyer and will NEVER flew with Air Canada again. The cheap ticket is not worth the cheap aircraft and cheap service I received."

Contra: "Rouge Flight entertainment does not even come close to any other carriers entertainment system. Additionally, if you have a PC your're out of luck. It only works with IOS. Funny, it took me over an hour to find this out prior to the flight. The ground crew were all clueless if I could use my PC. I could have used my Smart Phone but it's kinda on the small side to watch a full length movie and drain my battery to 0. The Air Canada website was equally not helpful. I had to purchase their Ipad rental for $10 Canadian Dollars in order to watch a movie. Funny, they only had maybe 12-15 movies to choose from. Additionally, the bathrooms were disgusting and had broken parts everywhere. Flight was filthy. Looks like their just trying to scramble turning their flights around. I felt sorry for the people waiting in Honolulu for their flight back to Vancouver. Shame on you Air Canada. Time to upgrade your fleet please. You need to have better cleaning crews and definitely upgrade your Rouge Player system to accept PC's."

Pro: "Nothing. I spent the whole 5+ hour flight cursing (in my mind) the entire Air Canada executive team. This was my first, and will be my last trip on this horrible airline."
Contra: "Not enough leg room. I'm assuming that all Air Canada executives are either very short people, or they've never tested their product. I've never flown on such an absurdly uncomfortable airline seat configuration, and I fly over 100,000 miles a year worldwide (including discount airlines in China!). If you have long legs, and your flight is more that two hours, DO NOT fly Air Canada Rouge. You've been warned!"
Pro: "The flight had to abort take off due to an issue with the pilot seat. We had to return to the gate for them to fix the problem. Left the gate a second time only to sit on the runway with no explanation from the pilot."
Contra: "One attendant walked by offering water - nice that they offered water in the middle of the flight. But she didn't even give customers the chance to raise their hands bec she walked by so fast saying "water, water, water." I wasn't even dozing off and I couldn't catch her and I was sitting by the aisle. Dirty bathrooms with doors that don't lock - not just one particular stall but more than one stall."
Contra: "The connection process at YYZ airport. You need to clear security twice in order to connect. Risk of missing flights got connection because the walk to terminal is long and security checkpoint is very inefficient and sllw"
Contra: "They need a better system for boarding. It took forever to get us all on board. And it was hard to hear which zone they were boarding since the passengers were so noisy. there should've been lanes for the different zones so they could usher us all in orderly. It was a chaotic mess without lanes. There was no entertainment if you didn't download their app onto your electronic device. No snacks were offered either. I didn't pay for a meal but it would've been nice to have some pretzels or something like that. The controls for the lights, and attendant call button were on the hand rest. It was very uncomfortable since it was a raised section, and more than once I turned on the light without meaning to do so. I won't fly Air Canada Rouge ever again, if I can help it."
Pro: "This was a horrible experience throughout. From the start, we were told to board but left standing on the jetway for 15-20 minutes before we were allowed to board the plane and take our seats. Went downhill from there."
Contra: "Uncomfortable. No space, "Entertainment" had one use their own device but no place to power the device. Audacity to charge $10 to use a rental device for entertainment when other airlines provide free of charge. No air-circulation on board. Screaming children the ENTIRE 6 hour flight. No complimentary snacks."
Pro: "Price was good and flights arrived timely"
Contra: "It's a typical new aircraft that is crowded when full"

Contra: "Small spaces for legs, dinner taste... No tv screen in the seata back"

Contra: "Initial plane had mechanical problem before we boarded, so we were delayed and sent to a different gate. Delays became incrementally longer, announcements were not as quick as they should have been -- e.g. I learned of the gate change from another passenger rather than the crew at the gate. Then, the flight we did catch was delayed in the air due to congestion at LaGuardia. AC was too cold for me. Admittedly some of these problems were well outside Air Canada's control, but the communication weaknesses were their fault."
Contra: "The flight to Frankfurt was an hour late, so my bags didn't make the next flight to Warsaw"
Pro: "The flight attendants were wonderful. Everything was great but they stood out to me and my experience."
Contra: "Air Canada as well as WestJet charge exuberant amounts for local flights. They offer services and leg room of a budget airline while charging prices at the top range of a regular airline. Lack of proper competition in Canada allows Air Canada and WestJet to charge whatever they want since there are no other real options"
Pro: "I paid 10.00 for nuts... that is nuts!"
Contra: "My luggage didn't arrive when I did. I had to spend several hundred dollars on cloths for me and my niece so that we had what we needed for the two days it took to get our bags."
