Contra: "Had a layover in Toronto. From Toronto we flew to Istanbul and then Venice. While waiting in line to board in Toronto, I was told my carry-on luggage was too big and needed to be put under. I asked MULTIPLE times where my luggage would be- either Istanbul or Venice (final destination) and EVERY time I asked, I was told my luggage would be waiting for me in Venice. Once we arrived in Istanbul I asked AGAIN if my carry-on luggage was here or if it would be in Venice and I was told it would be in Venice. Once we arrived in Venice, my luggage was nowhere to be found. The lost luggage crew (and 90% of the people in Venice) were completely rude and acted like we were a huge inconvenience for them. (I've heard that many Europeans cannot stand Americans, but we were not being rude or obnoxious at all to anyone- we just wanted a quiet, romantic vacation.) So safe to say that it was an extremely rough start. We were in Venice for the Glass Art Society Conference in Murano and due to my luggage being lost, had missed the first day and a half, therefore wasting hundreds of dollars. Luckily my boyfriend's phone worked in order to spend our first two days of vacation (not to mention the amount of money spent on international calling costs) tracking down my luggage, but again dealt with completely rude people who barely helped us with any answers and even hung up on us multiple times (and I'd like to add that despite my frustration, I made sure that I was not speaking rudely one bit). The best answers we received were from the people at the Istanbul airport who told us that Venice received my luggage hours before I even called Istanbul- which I do not understand why the Venice airport did not tell me this because I spent all day speaking with them. Once I called back the Venice airport to confirm what the Istanbul airport told us, they said (once again rudely) that they called me on my phone but did not answer (which I already told them that my phone did not have any service and to call my boyfriend's phone number). So to sum up: I will never be flying to Venice ever again."

The plane experience was smooth, with wonderful entertainment on your personal screen with excellent movie, news and music offerings. The crew was wonderful, friendly, smiling and accommodating. No charge on alcoholic drinks! Food was great. Flight was good. At Houston, the assistants for Disabled Persons was wonderful, accompanying me up until I was dropped at Shuttle service to my car. Turkish airlines really impressed me and would use them anytime."
Contra: "In Istanbul, I had to walk from the gate entrance to the plane. Took me 10 minutes to walk the plank, struggling, but no one offered me a wheelchair or assistance. In Istanbul, there was a considerable amount of people waiting to check bags but there were no agents at 2 counters and it really bothered the people waiting and waiting for them to show up. Then the baggage loading track stopped and it stopped all the traffic for a while. Inconveniences but, nevertheless, it affected the travelers anxiety."

For 20 minutes crew stood around in the airport talking to each other and using their cellphones. Finally the transport bus was loaded only to have the bus driver get out, and talk to another employee while simultaneously using his phone. No information was given for the delay and the plane was boarded at time of departure. This careless and unbothered attitude resulted in a missed connecting flight for my partner and I. We were completely unassisted by crew on the plane and ended up having to wait 24hours for our next flight home. Absolutely disgusted by the service provided from Cluj to Munich. I would seriously consider another airline before booking again with Lufthansa for this route."

Contra: "Had two stop over in Germany so they wont let me board stating need German visa. Requested for rerouting from FRA to USA direct, but lufthansa did nothing to help other than make me stranded had to travel with totally different airliner. Horrible experience with them..."

Contra: "The ticket kiosk would not read passports. It was so frustrating to have to continuously try over and over again. With no attendant at the location and a long line, I wasn’t sure how to proceed. There were plenty of people having the same difficulty. It took about 12 minutes to occomplish a minut long job."

Pro: "The hospitality crew that was at SFO gave us the location of a lounge to go to which closed at 8 pm. The time they gave the location was at 8.25 pm. She was uninformed and not very highly trained. Lounge was disgusting. Messy, crowded - seemed like a 2nd class waiting room in an Indian railway station. The boarding was very poorly managed by the same lady!"

Contra: "I was denied boarding on the Dublin to Munich leg of my connecting flight from Newark to Munich. My ticket was booked through Lufthansa, but the transatlantic leg of my trip was operated by United. When checking in with United in Newark, I received two boarding passes, one for each leg of the trip. I arrived on time in Dublin for my flight to Munich and tried to board the plane for Munich with the boarding pass I had printed in Newark. After scanning my ticket, the Lufthansa employees at the gate informed me that they had no record of me or my plane ticket in their system. I showed them the email confirmation for my ticket, but they still could not find any record of my ticket in their online system. The employees seemed more concerned with boarding all passengers as quickly as possible than assisting me. After being denied boarding, I had to go back through passport control to change my flight, and ended up getting to Munich nearly 6 hours behind schedule and missed an entire day of vacation. A Lufthansa employee told me that out of every partner in the STAR alliance, United is the ONLY airline they have had this problem with. I find this inexcusable, I will be AVOIDING ANY United/Lufthansa connecting flight from now on."

Contra: "There was very confusing and contradictory information on what you can take with you on top of your cabin luggage. e.g. Can you or can you not take a small shoulder bag with you."

Contra: "The offer to travel the next day by giving up the current reservation for a price, making us wait for almost two hours and then telling us that we will be travelling the same day instead of the next day. Initially they requested us to help them as they were over booked with an offer and we informed all our relatives, later with the withdrawal of the offer we had to call everybody again. A whole lot of confusion , discomfort and mental torture."

Pro: "Big airplane and therefore no turbulence. Food was good for airplane food. Boarding was pretty fast considering the number of people. Didn't have problems finding overhead luggage space"
Contra: "Sat next to the bathroom and therefore repeatedly got bumped by people and carts as they passed. The stewardess was polite but had an obvious fake smile pasted on her face. A bit more honest facial expression would have been more comfortable."

Contra: "Felt herded like cattle during the boarding process. No children's amenities as advertised. Children's meal was so-so. Adult meals had chocolate included, which children's meal did not have. When we arrived at the airport and they printed boarding passes, the Lufthansa agent re-assigned seats without asking or telling me and gave us all middle seats. Very poor form. Food was either average or bad, depending on what was served. Boarding is unorganized, with people lining up over an hour prior to boarding and almost completely ignoring their boarding groups."

Pro: "I appreciate the taxi, in Munich airport, to my next connection."

Contra: "We booked our group of four with Lufthansa, paying $300 more than equivalent flights on competing airlines, specifically because our 20 month old daughter fits within Lufthansa's age, height, and weight limits for using the bassinet. We have reserved our tickets and the bassinet over two months in advance, paying $35 extra per seat for these reservations, and even got an email that specifically stated "bassinet confirmed". On the flight, when it came time to install the bassinets, the flight attendant came to us, took a look at our daughter, and said that she will not fit in the bassinet, that she is too tall, and too heavy, and suggested that we should have checked the limits for the bassinet before coming on the flight. When we inquired as to the actual limits, she could not provide any numbers, only said that she could see that our daughter is too big for it. When the family next to us got their bassinet, it became very obvious that our daughter would fit in the bassinet, and we pointed out that she was well below the height and weight limits published on the Lufthansa website. Only then did the flight attendant admit that there were other babies on the flight, and they only had four bassinets on the plane, despite having 11 slots where bassinets could be installed. Our reservation months in advance did not matter - we did not get the bassinet. As compensation, we were offered some Lufthansa miles, or 50 euros for in-flight duty free shopping. However, we lost close to 1000 dollars as a group when we chose to fly Lufthansa rather than a less expensive airline. We were very uncomfortable throughout the flight, having to hold my daughter in my arms for over five hours. We are are still very upset that the crew blatantly lied to us."

Contra: "Plane left 3 hours late for a tire change? Missed connections and had to rent a car. Audio jack didn’t work on tv. Flight attendant was aware of time issues and were going to help me get off plane quick. They didn’t.. Also, why is the 787 so hot? Nice plane but needs air vents. Both times now it was sooo warm in the cabin."

Pro: "New airplane."
Contra: "100% full"

Contra: "The flight was almost two hours delayed. If my connecting flight were closer, I would have missed it. Otherwise everything was good. The 787 Dreamliner was new and very comfortable."

Pro: "Safe flight"
Contra: "Employers are rude, food is not eatable seats are not comfortable ..."

Pro: "I went from Belgrade to WAW and then to Chicago. The flight from Belgrade was delayed by almost two hrs which made out flight to Chicago delyed as well. This was my first time flying with LOT and so far so good. I think the flights from WAW are delayed bcz of the other flights coming into WAW are delyed and since there are only one international flight a day they wait for these flights to arrive so they can take off. This is what happened in my case. The crew was very nice. I traveled with two small children and they were very helpful. I would def flight with LOT again"
Contra: "There were no coffee being offered or kids snackes"

Pro: "Great food and nice airplane"
Contra: "The crew could not control a rowdy crowd on the plane, we had over eight hours of chaos"

Pro: "The multilingual, very professional crew is one of the best we've traveled with. All of them are willing to help, accommodate, which was extremely important for us due to my husband's medical issues. Much obliged."

Contra: ""beds" not as comfortable as British Air, Qantas or Air NZ, which are all we have to compare it to Grasp of English of crew not great. Choices of menu in Business limited, especially for those not eating pork or beef (again,not our experience on the above mentioned airlines) The requested vegetarian meal was the same for both dinner and breakfast, and consisted of the same plain cooked vegetables and fresh fruits only"

Pro: "Very professional crew ."
Contra: "Not applicable"

Contra: "Delayed flight from Toronto to warsaw by 2 hours, then delayed flight from Warsaw to Rzeszow by 7 hours due to no room on the plane."

Contra: "incompetent parents with hysteric crying baby, inattentive flight attendants"

Contra: "There was no food. Only for a money."

Contra: "When the main dinner came to my seat they ran out of pretty much everything, I wasn’t able to have an option on what to choose at all and was forced to eat the chicken dish that was very gross."

Contra: "We were delayed. I was also asked to switch seats and was placed next to an ultra orthodox family, who was NOT happy to be seated next to a woman. This put me in an extremely uncomfortable situation, and the crew was not helpful in helping me resolve this. I basically had to go back and undo the switch myself - I would like to point out that the airline has just as much responsibility to protect me and my rights as they do to protect the other passengers, and I feel they fell short."

Contra: "I bought economy ticket, yet I had to pay extra for my suitcase"

Pro: "Actual flight was good & glad to get snacks & drinks at no extra cost"
Contra: "frazzled getting through all the controls & gate distance in such a short connection time"

Contra: "There was a delay on their first flight and then the same LOT company does not wait for our connection. After that we are send for one night at a crappy 1 star hotel in Warshaw."

Contra: "My bag didn't arrive in Warsaw. I asked the LOT representative at JFK to verify that my bag was on the flight between NYC and Warsaw. She said that it was, but it wasn't there when I arrived"

Contra: "Going to board the plane and they told a group of like 30 of us we had been selected for random security check. So obviously it took a long time to get all those people through the check and we departed very late. Then sat on the tarmac for an hour and forty five minutes. The pilot said it would be 15 minutes and then never gave another update beyond that, which made it much worse."

Pro: "Service"
Contra: "Everything was fine"

Pro: "The staff was nice"
Contra: "The flights were late"

Contra: "Lack of checked baggage just causes commotion during boarding when the airline finally realizes too many bags and offers free bag checkin... Don't get the bad habbits from us airlines..."

Pro: "I like that I flew on a relatively modern plane."
Contra: "The flight was delayed for 2 hours."

Pro: "I like that I flew on a modern aircraft with good amenities."
Contra: "The flight was delayed 2.5 hours. Check in took longer than it has ever taken."

Contra: "the flight was 2 hours delay and messed up all the arrangements we have to be picked up also the whole plans needed to be changed and inconvenient for the person supposed to pick us up from airport"

Pro: "Very timely and organized."

Contra: "I had to pay 70 Euros for luggage one way, while there was no information that my ticket does not include luggage. Actually, economic tickets (as mine) should have allowed for trips in Europe a checked in luggage according to the company website. I do not find any information regarding how I can pay for my luggage in advance, and not at the airport."

Pro: "Cabin crew were at least apologetic after the delays and shambolic boarding process (see below)."
Contra: "Chaotic flight that was delayed due to overbooking and the failure to deal with it in any competent way. An apparently overbooked flight led to a cascade of errors - there seemed to be a total breakdown in communication between the gate/services team and the ground crew, etc. as to where the extra passengers came from and what could be done with them. They even admitted to their being many misunderstandings among the LOT staff themselves as they struggled to rectify the situation. The worst outcome was that we got trapped in the bus, right outside the plane, for 30 minutes. They had sent us to board while back at the gate they were still arguing over who should actually be on the plane. During this time there was no sign of the cabin crew at all. After 10 minutes or so the driver left to go and have a chat with some of the ground ops team and we were left on our own as the windows steamed up and small children started to cry. The whole thing was an appalling exercise in miscommunication - both between staff themselves and between staff and passengers."

Contra: "Flight late Seats uncomfortable"

Contra: "The seat was very worn down and hard."

Contra: "There was a delay at Warsaw Airport for almost 3 Hours I arrived home 2.00 Am I missed a family wedding that night"

Contra: "It was a bit dark and the seats were uncomfortable, the Windows were dirty."
