Very organized airline with friendly and professional air and land crew.
Food and entertainment needs to be updated. I understand the majority of clients but not everyone can eat spicy food . I wish they have some sandwiches snacks or kids friendly food.
Quality of food and urgency to diabetic passengers need to be taken care of seriously

They provide excellent personal care, and are there for everything. They are supremely polite and courteous, and bring things in mediately. Very often anticipating your needs. This is what flying used to be like on United and American. But those people have completely forgotten what service is. Qatar is a 5 star airline. United and American, to my view, are 2 star at best."

Secondly, I think that if this airline became the best airline in 2017, staff should care about their passengers’ stuff more than they do, so backpacks or suitcases don't lose parts or get crushed during flights. When I got my backpack back, I thought that someone had used it to play football. My backpack had lost some parts, and some pieces of it were torn!"

When seeking guidance from crew members about the flight's boarding different answers were given at different time. First it was no delay, just the plane getting closer to the gate, later followed by a 10 mins wait that later became over 30 mins. Once we finally made it on the flight, when requesting a beverage the only option given is water or orange juice and if you have any dietary restrictions (even when providing said information to the airline) you will remain without food on the shorter flights."

The crew doesn’t make u feel welcome . The food is ok all the 4 flights have inconvenient. The first one 7 hours late. We miss the convections and they don’t honor the ticket. We have to buy a new ones when we arrived to Istanbul . The flight cappadocia to Istanbul cancel and after 6 hours we flight . We had a big expectations about Turkish airlines and we will avoid to travel With them again .

Contra: "There were a few small things that could have been better (Which I'll mention), but the worst thing about the flight was the airport. Ataturk Airport is a mess. After the attempted coup, they really upped security, forcing all international flights to go through a second security screening after transferring from another airport. It's understandable but the line moved at a molasses-like speed when I had only 25 minutes to make my connecting flight. The security personnel were rude, as well. Also, when I went to make my connecting gate in Cairo, there was no one at the gate after the required boarding time (Because security had held us up), forcing some of us to board the plane without having anyone to show us onto the plane (Very scary). The flight boarding was chaotic, and no announcements were made about what we were supposed to do. Besides the lack of boarding gates, the only other serious complaint I had against Turkish Airlines (Because it really was great overall) was that the pilots and flight attendants were very hard to understand. I have taught ESL for the past 5 years, and I still had a hard time as an American understanding their English. Also, they frequently didn't understand or misunderstood questions that I would ask them. I've never had a hard time understanding flight attendants on an international flight, but I only understood about 20% of what anyone said over the loud speaker in the plane. And it's nice to be able to understand when the pilot says, "We are experiencing some turbulence and would like everyone to buckle their seatbelts until it passes." Two small things remain: 1. The bathroom trash cans were full on every flight (A small thing but makes everything feel "trashy"). 2. The flight attendants seemed unhappy, and they definitely seemed unhappy to be serving us. I can only assume they are that way because they aren't treated particularly well by their bosses."

From USA, San Jose, Ca, to Frankfurt, Germany everything was good (flight on 08/31/2018 - 09/01/2018). They have been very profesional, beganing wih the boarding time untill the arrival in Frankfurt. The flight to Romania was a different story. They haven't been very professional at all. The flight had a delay and nobody said a word. It was just a clerck there who didn't tell to the Lufthansa passengers for a while anything about our delay. So, finally, he said after 15-20 minutes that our fligt will be later, 20 minutes, than the scheduled time on our tickets. They seemed do not care too much about the Romanian passengers."

Pro: "The flight started with a visit in the recently renovated KLM crown lounge in Amsterdam airport. I liked the various seating options and of course the upstairs bar. The service on board was attentive and efficient, the food options I really liked (especially the Chinese dish) but also the little touches like the nuts & gouda cheese which were served in small porcelain bowls. The seat itself was very comfortable when sitting and the structure gives a lot of privacy. However for couples or friends travelling it's a bit cumbersome to have a conversation even when sitting in seats next to each other. Overall my expectations were fulfilled."
Contra: "This seat is not ideal for sleeping for taller persons (I'm 185cm tall) as the space to put the feet is very narrow and it's uncomfortable when lying on the back (as one cannot put them in the natural resting position). Cabin temperature could have been a bit lower for my taste. Crew needs better training with regards to transfer procedure in Chengdu."

My poor rating was because the luggage handling was really poor. Lots of flights from Paris to Amsterdam (almost hourly), but my bag showed up 12 hours later. My wife's bag took 36 hours. And yes, we checked in together. There were lots of confusing messages"
Pro: "Decent meal (warm Pasta all'arrabbiata), nice little muffin for dessert and standard drinks (coffee & tea were a bonus, as they didn't serve any on a similar flight, from Barcelona to Amsterdam), friendly cabin crew."
Contra: "Poor timing - no reason for a 40 minute delay at take off (plane was fully boarded in time) Old aircraft, shabby, dirty and cramped seats. Coming from my connecting flight from Barcelona, I could clearly tell the different in the quality (and cleanliness) of the aircrafts."

Contra: "Luggage (being handled by Air France in Basel) was first marked as delayed... nothing of the flight was in the end put on the belt and instead dropped off at Lost and Found. Ridiculous service since this was in no way announced to the people waiting for their suitcase."

The agent at the check-in changed our seats to row 17, at the bulkhead for economy, and the two middle seats. I ALWAYS sit on the aisle, thus my wife had to crawl over someone to go to the bathroom. Four times a flight is not what a 73 year old women wants to navigate. The check-in agent wanted us to have more leg room...I understand her motive but, not a good idea. I had no option to decline. The food again on an international flight was a one out of ten. Since we were at the bulkhead the fold out tray was VERY unstable and my drink spilled (luckily, it did not spill on my neighbor or me). I refused breakfast. If I held a drink in my hand, I felt secure. If I put it on the tray, I felt VERY insecure. Both of the women stewardesses basicaly threw the drinks at me. Zero understanding of the problems of stability (ok, the plane was full and they had a lot of work to serve everyone, but a little understnding would comfort their clients). GRU to MIA is a short flight, and, the pilot did a wonderful job (takeoff to landing, 8 hours), absolutely no turbulence. Very clear communication from the flight deck. I will probably fly American again, ticket purchase was simple and the cost was quite good; wheelchair excellent both in GRU and MIA.
Terrible lines at the airport, but our crew was fantastic during flight!
It was not that good. The AC of the the airplane was off for 30 minutes before it took of. When asked for it to be turned on, the flight attendant was completely rude and said that I would have the option to get off the plane if I didn’t like the situation. I thought it was disrespectful and unnecessary for him to act like that, especially when there were passengers that were tired and without sleep after an international flight.
Standard flight. Could be better by taking off on time and landing on time.

Pro: "It was 1 in the morning in the Philadelphia airport and I had an 8 hour layover and there were no vending machines available and an airport worker went and got me a drink and some chips and would not take any payment. I call that going above and beyond his job duties. Very pleasant man."
Contra: "They layover was a little much and to get one with a better time was $300.00 and all I wanted to do was get to Watertown NY to see my grandkids."

We were informed thatcher would have to wait 24hours (after an already 7 hour layover) to catch another flight to Los Angeles. After debating with customer servinge several times and being forced to wait in line after being told things were fixed several time we had to threaten to record conversations and had someone call American Airlines headquarters and finally was able to get in the flight the same night. We at work be point were laughed at by an American Airlines customer service professional. I had purchased upgraded seats since I’m over 6 feet tall and they were not able to accommodate on the new flight, the flight was horrible and I had ton stand up every hour to make I the whole 12 hours."
Pro: "The only decent point was the food. Not great but at least edible."
Contra: "Since check in in São Paulo was a complete chaos. There were only 2 people helping on check in (in machines) and these people were still not helping people (like me) with questions about on how to do check in in those machines. On the other hand to dispatch the bags there were almost 8 attendants to receive the bags. Ridiculous! I’ve tried calling American Airlines and Latam several times to assign a seat for me and they swore there were only middle seats but I know how airlines work to make extra money on these seats. At the end, they only gave me a middle seat option and I had to take I.t of course. On the plane I realized there were dozens of empty seats and yet they made sure not give them to me or anyone else. Unbelievable! Unfortunately I still have to use AA on my way back to Brazil. After this, I’ll chose another airlines for sure. Also, the 3,4,3 arrangement is ridiculous: there’s no corridor space making people touching you everything someone passes by your seat. And boy! Those seats are so uncomfortable and there’s no way to incline the chair so you can even have a little rest (because it’s impossible to even sleep on those seats). The crew were simply doing their jobs! No pleasure! No smile! No engaging with anyone unfortunately! They looked miserable and I asked for water and the flight attendant NEVER brought me anything. Seriously! Water is free!"

Flight crew repeated all instructions at least 3 times including video interruptions. What is the point of having in flight entertainment if crew will interrupt said entertainment at least once every 10 min to remind you you are still in turbulent air? Do they honestly think the passengers forgot? We are in the plane too! I understand they have to be careful due to liability but this airline is ridiculous. Believe it or not customers do not like being treated like children. Would not recommend to others or fly this airline again. Also, the lunch was awful even by airline standards. Btw the airline was avianca not AA. kayak must have messed up or they are owned by AA. AA is great and I recommend them wholeheartedly but Avianca is awful. Stay away if you can afford to do so."

Contra: "I had my reservation cancelled despiste numerous phone calls. The flight was operated by AA, and they told me I wasn't on the flight, but after many phone calls LATAN assured me I was booked on the flight. When I got to the airport, I was not allowed to board my direct flight from GRU to LAX, instead I was sent to Miami then Charlestown , I took me an extra 12 hours to get home. I lost a day of work. Who's going to reimburse me for that ???"
Contra: "The crew definitely needs to be changed. There needs to be hostesses who are more attentive and actually care about their passengers."
Contra: "How does American think it can get away with a mediocre business class fitting and charge the same as Lufthansa and United? In this flight, the did recline 170º but formed a ramp that did slowly slide the passenger under the set in front of him. I'd recommend someone from AA should fly Lufthansa Business Class or Singapore Airlines Business to check out how it should be done! ANd then, flying a beaten up 777-200er while its competitors fly 787 is nonhing but a shame!"

Contra: "Once again my flight was delayed, this time 50 minutes!! . Last time i had to stop in Vegas I got stuck there overnigh because my flight had been delayed and to mKe things worse they also managed to Miss my flights connection in Miami after they had booked me a new flight.. With a window seat that had no window. I old the flight attendant that I needed help stowing my backpack in the overhead bin, not because it was that heavy or big, but because the previous flight had been 5 hrs long and after being stuck in the middle seat my back was killing me and lifting my bag over my head would have triggered a muscle spasm. I have a back condition and they refused to help me. She would not even hear me out and insisted on me to check my bag, which I refused to because my laptop and tablet were in there without propper padding to protect them. The same flight attendant had already yelled at a passanger and was making a scene that made several other passengers uncomfortable. i understand the flight was full and they were delayed enough, but the airline clients should not have to pay for the airline's mistakes."
