Same chicken dish twice on the same flight - not so good.
Food was absolutely terrible…old plane.. small seats
Both flights Mumbai to Frankurt and Frankfurt to Orlando Crew did not check person sitting to me not wearing their masks, masks hung around the neck and not on the nose and mouth! It was uncomfortable for me too even sit there as they chatted the whole time with the Crew and even tried to make conversation with me without mask! I thought Crew was responsible to check people! I ordered special veg meal, it was awful in taste, since I had just travelled same flights to India and was now returning exact same food, I requested if I could exchange for extra meal I was refused I landed up not eating anything! Crew had no courtesy to arrange anything for me in Business class, terrible while another couple siting there who refused to eat from menu food was arranged for them! I was so very disappointed, what's the point traveling Business when they kept me hungry! No masks on people, no food options, I was on 3 flights back to back slept most of time when I woke up they did not even care to offer drinks forget food...all this in Business class on Dec 9th.
Everything was excellent during the whole process from start to end. We will definitely travel Lufthansa again.

Contra: "The crew in Cluj airport could not care less about getting the plane boarded and departed on time. For 20 minutes crew stood around in the airport talking to each other and using their cellphones. Finally the transport bus was loaded only to have the bus driver get out, and talk to another employee while simultaneously using his phone. No information was given for the delay and the plane was boarded at time of departure. This careless and unbothered attitude resulted in a missed connecting flight for my partner and I. We were completely unassisted by crew on the plane and ended up having to wait 24hours for our next flight home. Absolutely disgusted by the service provided from Cluj to Munich. I would seriously consider another airline before booking again with Lufthansa for this route."

Contra: "The plane was older 747-400 but that is no excuse for the layers of dirt or dust on the air vents and ceilings. I actually took a photos and will be forwarding to Lufthansa. The couple in front of us actually took a wet wipe and wiped down there area and ceiling. Also the boarding process was a mess we actually were taken by bus to the aircraft that was at the freight depot and had to climb stairs to get on the 747. I’m not sure how they handle the passengers with mobility issues. First time flying with a European airline and I was told the service was better not on this flight."

Smiling faces genuinely concerned about the passenger experience aboard the aircraft. In contrast, on a previous International flight via a US based carrier...there too was lots of cabin crew attitude...but not the pleasant type."
Pro: "The food tasted really good and especially the bread was much more appealing than on our previous flight. The flight attendants were very efficient and attentive. I liked that they asked the person in front of me to put his seat up during the meal time. That helped me eat more comfortably. Entertainment options were extensive."
Contra: "Boarding was delayed and was tedious. It took forever because there was not an orderly line and just a jumble of people. We had to show our passports 3 different times between check in and boarding. People had put their passports away, then had to get them out again at the gate. That slowed everything down to a crawl. Our party was not accommodated when we asked for seats together. My husband and I were separated and we were separated from our kids. The ground crew did not seem to care. Take off was delayed, but the captain never told us why. The guy in front of me reclined his seat the whole time. I felt like a sardine in a can. So uncomfortable!"

Contra: "The flight was delayed several times by 15 minutes. Not sure why they could not tell us how long the flight would be delayed all at once. They track the flight and know when it will land, don’t they?"
Pro: "They actually checked sizes of some “carryons.” Of course, it’s a cash cow for the carrier. The checkers should get 20% of the fee collected for checking oversized carryons at the gate."
Contra: "There are faster, more efficient ways to load and unload passengers."
Contra: "Entertainment system broken. Plane was old and dirty. Super crowded. Staff was unhelpful and rude at checkin and messed up my reservation."
Contra: "I had very little time to make my connection in Newark. Other airports/airlines have given me a short connection pass which has allowed passengers to make their connection with less stress. The security line inNewsrk was ridiculous. I spoke to a TSA agent who couldn’t have cared less if I missed my flight and a United representative who told me to “just try.” In the end, I had to ask other passengers if I could go ahead of them. While I made my flight with a few minutes to spare, the process could have been much easier and the United Rep could have done more. He could have just called the gate at the very least to let them know I was coming. Apathy is not an indication of good customer service."

Contra: "Ticket agent said I could take my bag on the plane. Gate agent told me my bag not I were going on the plane unless I paid $50 to put the bag below if I wanted to get in the plane. Very matter of fact & rude. I was just about the last person they let board so there really wasn't a chance to discuss with them. No WiFi on a cross country plane, lame. No access to the headrest video screen w/o paying for it, lame. Snotty unconcerned flight attendants as well. Overall one of the worst flights I've had in memory. I would pay more next time to fly another airline."
Pro: "I had no problems the gate agent was very nice and I did get the basic economy which that only did I have to pay for my bags but I also got the last seat in the back in the corner which is OK I guess I’ll pay more attention to the fair I still probably saved a little money but I don’t know that I save that much I think that sometimes the boarding agent needs to pay attention to the carry-on luggage for sure bring a lot carry-on luggage which doesn’t allow for others to have carry-on luggage who were in the later groups and then they get penalized with their bags being checked as there’s no more room and they’re not basic economy but other than that I like taking United they have nonstop service between Orlando in Houston and it’s been a wonderful experience most of the time and I think the airlines do a pretty good job considering the traveling public themselves to be very challenging at times professionalism and courtesy works both ways and unfortunately people buy tickets and think that it’s a one-way street. they then run to the media who loves to make it about the big guy versus the little guy anyway good job united and I will continue to fly you when you’re the most appropriate carrier to get me to where I want to be."

They charge higher prices but act like a discount airline. My last trip with them."

There weren't even options for me to pay the outrageous pick a seat option when I was doing my preflight check in 24 hours in advance."

Contra: "I was thoroughly disappointed when I realized that I had to pay to get any type of entertainment on the in-flight screen. That feels like zero effort on the part of the airline to make my flight enjoyable."
Contra: "After United made me miss my connecting flight, I got an alternate flight to a different airport, but not apology, no offer to upgrade, nothing. Already frustrated, and with my knees hitting the seat in front of me because the seats are too close together, a flight attendant scolded me when I dared put my leg in the aisle (which I often do on other airlines without incident). Once on the ground, I went straight to United's baggage office to see if my bag had followed me, and encountered two of the rudest people, cutting me off whenever I said anything more than they needed to enter into their computer. If your job is in customer service, be friendly, apologize when things go wrong, understand that your customers are your reason for being in business, and be helpful."

Contra: "The carry-on luggage has gotten out of control. More and more people and bringing carrying to avoid the baggage fee.. just incrude in price of ticket.. it slows down the process at TSA, boarding amd getting off the plane.."

I mean he was super friendly with a white guy and a African American girl .. But with me .. Rudeness and bad service .. I said "hello , how are you?".. He didn't answer .. I told him when I did my checkin my boarding pass had "See agent" in the seating section .. He just took the ticket and gave me the last sit available on the plain even though I arrived almost 3 hours before the original departing hour .. I don't know .. It might be the only available sit or it was just a racist thing .. Who knows .. Really disappointed with United. I'll go back with Ameican Airlines."
