Wizz Air mobile app barely works when required (for boarding passes, etc) Not enough room in overheads for all the carry on they allowed, had to sit with bag and jacket on my lap for flight, as no room under seat either."

Pro: "I asked for a cup of water for my child and they gave me a bottled water. Then they charged me 2.50 euros. Their credit card processing machine was not working properly, which was frustrating: the flight attendant got frustrated and had to come back again until she can process my payment."
Contra: "I didn't check in, in advance as when logging on to the airline I needed a code. I didn't have the code as I was searching emails for the booking agent and airline when it was (as I later discovered) sent by another name. This resulted in £30 to check in going out and 40 euros back. Desk staff were unhelpful bordering on rude (the cabin staff were fine in that respect. I wasn't the only one at least 20 people queuing on the return with the same issue. Additionally on the delay out they advised food could be brought at the rear of the plane then inflight ran out so some people ate twice while by the time I got to my hotel they had stopped serving food and I had not eaten in the airport sorting out the boarding passes."

Yes, like a bully, demanded for money, or else.... Worst service i had ever experienced in my 16 years of traveling."

I was abroad so chasing up details I should have been provided with / were never told that I should have, were not on the top of my to do list. I only found out that I had to check in online and that I hadn't been provided with these details when I arrived at the airport. I spent 30 minutes on hold before the problem was rectified and I was given my online check in details but it was now top late to check in online (by 5 minutes ). The flight was delayed due to a number of things - a late arrival, people being let onto the plane slowly, people not sitting down and allowing the plane to taxi and leave. This had a knock on effect of making the plane land late and for me to miss my connection (train) so basically through last minute.com not providing me with the correct details regarding the flight and the flight then being delayed it tripled my whole journey back home."
Contra: "Boarding luggage no more that 32 cm, all comune boarding luggage are 34-38, they did on purpose to charge u €40 more on ticket, I saw at List 20 people charged for that."

Contra: "Ridiculous size restrictions on carry-on. If you can pack your clothes in a wallet, then you should be able to carry on at no cost. Only the smallest of bags will meet the "free" requirement. Website is awful to attempt to online check in. Crazy that they charge for check in at the airport if you cannot get their site to work. Customer service phone call also costs a quid a minute. It's almost as if they are proud that they screw you if you encounter any difficulty or you've made a mistake in the complicated boarding pass emailing procedure."

Passengers were called to board and left waiting in line for over an hour with zero communication as to why we were unable to board our plane. This was my first time flying with Ryan Air and I was greatly disappointed. Budget airlines should not equate to budget customer service."

Contra: "Seats were uncomfortable. Be wary of "checking in early" costs - you can navigate to not have those fees just takes time. "Hidden" fees were unexpected - overall fee was OK."

Contra: "My husband and I flew with RyanAir 3 times in two weeks. This was the third time, and it was the worst! When we were about to board, a staff person approached us and said that out carryon bags (which RyanAir tags and checks, anyway) were too large. We'd carried the same bags with the same items in them for all of our flights with RyanAir with no issues. But this time, the staff insisted that we had to pay to check the bags. We removed items from our luggage and put them in our backpacks, which only made the staff upset because they were unable to charge us. One of the staff members began yelling at me and told me she was doing us a favor by not making us pay (though our bags were the right size and met the airline's standards). She told me to be quiet and not argue with the staff, otherwise she'd charge me. If this were in America, I would have spoken to her manage and filed a complaint. I don't know the process in Germany, so I let it be. I felt disrespected and angered. During the flight, I asked a crew member for a fork or spoon. He said he'd bring it to me in a minute. After 15 minutes, he had not returned with it, so I asked another crew member, who told me that there were no spoons or forks. I replied that the airline serves hot meals that require utensils and asked if I could have one of those. He insisted that the airline accounts for every utensil and refused to provide me with one. The woman sitting behind me leaned forward and handed me a spoon. She explained that another crew member had given her the spoon, though she had not asked for it. She was confused and now realized that the spoon was intended for me-- he'd handed it to the wrong passenger. This made it obvious that the other crew member had lied to me. Overall, this was one of the worst flight experiences I'd ever had. I would not recommend RyanAir to anyone, and would actively dissuade people from flying with this airline if asked for my opinion."

Contra: "I didn't like that the originally fairly cheap price became higher and higher to provide minimal comfort and service. 30-35 euros per bag, paid ahead of time, is a ridiculously high price to charge in addition to the flight cost. Middle seats unless you are willing to pay more. Not even a drink on the plan unless you are willing to pay. etc etc. It is EXTREMELY inconvenient not to provide a paper ticket. I was unable to print a boarding pass as I was away from home. At the check-in I was not given a paper boarding pass, and then when I got to the entrance area, my phone would not work to show the boarding passes electronically. Ryan Air's website was impossible to navigate to find my boarding passes, taking me literally about a half hour to figure out. This delayed our entry tremendously. On the flight out from Barcelona to Rome my son was allowed to carry on his skateboard plus one small other carryon. On the flight back, he was NOT allowed to take the board through security, and was told he was too late to check the board. This turned out not to be true, but we were not informed of this at check-in, again seriously delaying our boarding. Luckily we had arrived at the airport way too early, and this worked to our advantage given Ryan Air's incompetence. The next day we flew home on Swiss Air - what a pleasant difference to fly on a real airline! No issues, lots of help, etc. etc."
Pro: "Seats are fairly comfortable if you and seat mates are normal sized, not chubby/large."
Contra: "Bag check at Malaga took almost an hour. Terrible queuing everywhere. You need at least 2.5 hours AT the airport if you are checking a bag on ryanair. Security moves very slowly, too, is very far from Ryanair bag check, THEN another queue to get through to your boarding gate. It was worst experience ever."
Pro: "The flight was on time, I paid the extra for the seat at the front which got priority boarding, and there were empty seats at the front of the plane. I was out of there as soon as the plane landed. Just close your eyes and it will all be over soon."
