Economy seating is miserable and you are treated like "untouchables"

I know it’s covid time, but a small dry snack and a bottle of water would have been nice: ons doesn’t always have rime to buy food while transiting!.

Pro: "the crew was great; super well prepared ladies with professional behavior. my compliments. also the snack was excellent and finally no junky food but a healthier offer. bravissimi!!!"

Pro: "The incoming pilot to Nice parked at the wrong gate and apparently, once parked, it could not be moved. So the airport had to scramble buses which made the flight depart more than an hour late. We had a 50-minute layover and Lufthansa did not hold the plane. So we got home a day late."

Contra: "For some reason there were 4 really young children seated all in the same area. Kids will be kids, but perhaps spreading them out wouldn’t make one particular area so loud and disturbing. Boarding the plane I a more orderly way would also help."

Side note: my flight from cape town to Frankfurt was earful... the guy seated next to me had excessive flatulence and their were dueling baby crying for 7/12hrs. IMO infants Should not be allowed on flights over 3hrs in length.... they can ruin a flight for a whole plane"

Contra: "The only thing I didn't like is that the boarding process was different than what I was used to. I usually board by zones and this time it was more of a everyone got up at the same time and everyone rushed to the front of the lines and some people would push me out of the way to get in front. ( even though we all had assigned seating) Second thing was that I had asked for a wheelchair for my mom and I had seen one waiting outside and was about to walk up to it but another person was limping up to it and put her stuff down on it so I didn't know if it was for my mom or her. I didn't have the heart to go up and make her move if the wheelchair was for my mom so we ended up walking the whole way to customs. I felt bad for my mom afterwards because her knees ended up hurting by the time we got to customs. I would suggest holding up signs of individual names for who the wheelchair is for. Other than that everything was great"

Contra: "There were a lot of screaming/crying children on the flight, turning up the headphones to as much as I could bear did not eliminate the noise. I ended up developing a cold after the flight, it was not a great vacation."

Pro: "We try to fly Lufthansa when we go to Europe (2x a year). This trip we upgraded to more leg room in economy and what a difference! Everything else was the same, which has always been excellent. Munich Airport has great food and shopping. Lufthansa's service is truly impeccable, the airline staff were constantly walking up and down the aisles offering food and drink and comfort. Great end to a three week trip in Italy, Croatia, Slovenia and of course Germany!"
Pro: "The problem was a family with 4 children who failed to parent their children which made this 7 hour flight a nightmare. Their children yelled, screamed and cried the entire flight and their parents did nothing. Their children laid in the center aisles, jumped up and down in the seats like a trampoline. They played with the trays like a toy repeatedly opening and closing them for fun. They tossed pillows at each other and the father handed them back to them to do it again and again. The parents didn't even seat their children in - the flight attendant had to do it. In our section there was no sleeping only total frustration. I love kids but sitting behind totally irresponsible parents made this return flight a nightmare while awake"

Contra: "on purposely made passengers miss connecting flight and did not genuinely try to help. Everybody follows so called policy like a robot regardless the circumstance. An airline with no feeling and emotion. Arrogant and don't care about passengers."
Pro: "Upgraded after a terrible flight out. This was much better. The food was better. The seats reclined like normal economy seats in domestic flights. Lufthansa definitely knows how to make economy seats uncomfortable."

Kids being animals kick people's sits and the usual 2.5h delay in departure (they make it so one cannot claim). Perfectly fine if it's a free service but horrible and lame being a paid flight.

Contra: "What was the most annoying part of the whole experience was the fact that they were other passangers on there school trip. Yes they are just still kids, but from the very start of them boarding, thats when everything just went downhill. The kids was just screaming, shouting, and sprinting into there sits. Even after being told to quite and calm down, all them were still screaming and shouting at the top of there vioces throughtout and non-stop for the whole flight (even after landing and getting into the bus). The worst fact of all is that, there was just far too many of them for everyone to handle (by the flight crew, and the trachers). It was also the first thing in the morning so it’s not like everyone would most likely be well rested already."

Contra: "They never gave me a printed boarding pass when I checked in and then once boarding the actual plane outside of WiFi range they made a big deal about not being able to show them a boarding pass. I had already shown two people before. If they needed to see it before boarding the plane then they should mandatorily give you a printed pass."

So not a good experience at all!"

Contra: "After paying €30 for a 20kg checked bag ahead of time, we waited for 20 minutes to get our bag weighed and checked. when it was our turn in line, the steward simply left and we eventually went to another line, where they said there was no bag on the reservation, even after I showed her my online receipt. She was very rude and clearly didn't want to deal with us. We stood for another 20 minutes in a different line only to be told that the bag was clearly on our reservation. We finally got the bag checked after yet another wait. We waited about 25 minutes in line to board for the plane and had to gate check our carry ons. No water served on the flight, and instead the flight attendants were aggressively trying to sell perfume."
Pro: "Cheap before extras. I think I'd rather pay more for better quality airline."
Contra: "I've had three flights with Ryan Air this week and every one has been so unorganized and stressful. The boarding process is slow, and a lot of getting in line and standing for long periods of time. Even with open seats they don't boom groups together (when they book at same time). I assume to get more money to switch but this just leads to masses of people trying to swap seatings during boarding. The landings on all three were rough, I fly a lot and have never had an issue and these landings were concerning. One they came into fast and had to pull up quickly to avoid landing."
Pro: "I liked that my priority seat meant early and quick boarding. The crew was friendly and competent. The plane was clean. I had no checked luggage so traveling was not stressful. Overhead bins seemed roomy enough."
Contra: "Nothing is free - not even a coffee on the early morning flight. Might be that I've been spoiled with American airlines. Not crazy about having to check in and purchase seat online. It seems the seat selection - from basic economy - should be included in the ticket price. Again, maybe spoiled by American airline companies."

Contra: "Last time we flew Ryanair, we did not check-in ahead of time, so we had to pay 53 Euros at the airport. We learned our lesson, so for this flight we checked in ahead of time and had our boarding passes ready on our mobile devices. When we arrived at the airport, we were told we needed a printed ticked so they could stamp it that they had checked our passport. It would be 53 Euros for them to print the ticket. The lady at the ticket counter directed us to the business center to print, but the Ryanair website wasn't working. I eventually printed a poor quality screenshot and hoped for the best. The lady stamped when she checked my passport. Nobody ever checked the stamped ticket beyond that point. What a waste. Ryanair is cheap, of course I'll fly with them again the next time I'm in Europe. My advice to travelers is to do your research and know all the loop holes they use to make money off of you."
