Pro: "Crew did the best with what they had"
Contra: "Four hour delays with little to no updates along the way are inexcusable"
Contra: "They ran out of food people would actually like to purchase and all that was left was cruddy Mac and cheese, pizza and truly awful sushi made by someone who has both never tried but inexorably hates it."
Pro: "Yes, the seat was good. The crew was good. The food was average."
Contra: "Diversity (for the food) and free alcohol (1-2 drinks are reasonable for 11 hours flight)"
Contra: "Food could be improved by improving preperation"

Contra: "Crew showed up late and we subsequently were delayed."
Pro: "Flight went extremely smooth. No issues during the layover they even got us an earlier flight to our layover destination, giving us more time between flights."
Contra: "The flight from Phoenix to Vancouver was good except for the poor wifi when we were connected to the air canada wifi. Since there is no mini TVs on the back of the seats, you have to connect to their wifi to access shows and movies from your own device which is fine if it works. Tried to watch a movie which had huge problems connecting and the loading signal was on for a large amount of time. Once it had connected to the movie, it had restarted to the beginning about 25 times during watching it. Very disappointing and made it very unenjoyable. Also, right after we boarded, the pilot went on the intercom to tell us the ground crew had a gas spill and had to take extra time to clean it up which led us to sit on the plane for an extra 45 minutes and that led us to miss our connecting flight."
Pro: "AC 018 takes the shortest route from Shanghai to Montreal. The check in and boarding were like a breeze. Cabin was clean, staff were amiable and hard working. The variety of drinks were plenty, the food matched the standard of cost efficiency flight ticket so how could you complain it? On board TV/Movie has new coming features such as HBO's Game of The Thorne, season 7. It was a comfortable and pleasant journey with the team of AC 018. Merci beaucoup!"
Pro: "Everything is good"
Contra: "Almost no"
Contra: "delayes again....."
Contra: "I got notice at two thirty in the morning while I was sleeping that my flight was cancelled and I was put on an earlier flight, so when I woke up and checked messages my flight was leaving in 90 mins and I needed to get it to make my connection. I almost didn't make it."
Pro: "Staff was extremely pleasant."
Contra: "Being charged for seat selection when I could not even select a seat. My seat didn't even have an outlet with USB jack next to the monitor like other seats. I had to use the old worn-out headset input jack on the armrest. Flights were delayed both directions."
Contra: "For an overnight flight I would have expected the lights to be turned off, or at least dimmed. My plan to sleep and enjoy my day of return did not go ask planned."
Pro: "Love a direct flight into/out of Budapest! Rouge flights have an app you can use on your device with a small playlist of entertainment options. Otherwise, you're stuck with whatever you brought with you."
Contra: "Wish there was a notice of our flight progress somewhere. I felt embarrassed to ask the flight attendants who had to do calculations on the spot instead of being able to just check it on the app."
Contra: "I couldn't board the plane due to new documentation requirements for travelers transiting in Canada. I understand the rules of the internet fare (no returns, exchanges or cancellations) but the customer service was awful. They didn't offer me any other alternative but to loose full value of the ticket ($1700). Nobody (kayak, vayama, air canada or brussel airlines) gave me any kind of information about those new requirements and I ended up cancelling the whole trip as I couldn't find any other flight to get to Europe. Really upsetting...."
Pro: "Good breakfast."
Contra: "Cabin was cool"
Contra: "Boarding always seems a bit of a jumble. Everyone stands around for what seems like an age. They announce zones 1 and 2, then people with children, then everyone else, but we are all standing around and then trying to queue for a long time."
Pro: "Everything is bigger than. Economy! The seat, the screen, the meal, the service, and general comfort."
Contra: "When the seat in front reclined on you, you were basically trapped!"
Pro: "The in-flight entertainment system in the headrest was very robust. My children remained engaged for almost the entire 16hr flight...the flight attendants were not stingy with the food or drink and even allowed me to get a beverage in-between the services to take my medicine."
Contra: "The baggage pickup in Beijing took forever! Over an hour after arriving at the baggage carrosel! My car seats were in two different places (on the belt and in an oversize area). On a minor note, I was unable to get a stamp in my passport after using the automated machine...sad...I would have stood in the line to get the stamp if I was told ahead of time..."
Pro: "Overall I enjoyed the movies provided. In the three week span I had a lot of the movie choices overlapped. However, I found that there were many options provided that allowed me to find movies I had not seen yet even though they were not released within the past 3-5 years."
Contra: "I felt like I was constantly being bumped sitting in the aisle seat. I also was not a fan of the breakfast options."
Pro: "Efficient boarding"
Contra: "The headphone jack on my seat was broken which for a 5.5 hour flight is quite difficult. The only compensation the air flight attendant offered was a glass of wine,which I couldn't drink due to being on medication. I had purchased 3 meals and 2 snacks so she could have comped one of them. This is the second time I experienced this on Air Canada with little to no appropriate service recovery. I had my iPad~an offer of free wii fii would have also been an option"
Pro: "Smooth, great crew"

Pro: "Flight attendant"
Contra: "My daughter's first trip to Canada, with a brand new suitcase. By the time she arrived in Canada her suitcase was lost. Then ended up in the London Airport even though she flew into Ontario. When she picked up the suitcase it was wet and missing one wheel. On the return flight to Tampa when the suitcase arrived it was missing two of the four wheels in the corner was completely ripped off which was exposing what was inside. The handling of the suitcases is awful and she should receive a replacement suitcase"
Contra: "Took off too late and missed next flight"
Pro: "That there was no delays or anything, at any point, very easy."

Contra: "Video screen was not working both times. And was charged for check in bag. $25. I didnt get it why i was charged even after paying $510 for a flight. I did web checking for inbound flight n had to pay $25 again. Not happy with that at all."

Contra: "AC373 on 07/23/16 - need I say more? Having an airline background and now the HR mgr of a very large hotel chain, I understand many things that are out of a companies control, ie: weather etc, but....never have I witnessed airline staff YELLING at passengers "it's not our fault and the agents need to leave so they don't go into overtime?" Yes, some passengers were difficult, but it's part of the industry. If you can't handle w/care and service - don't choose as a profession. Very unimpressed with AC's customer service, guest recovery - they made it seem like it was more of an inconvenience for them. Can't imagine "choosing" to fly AC again!"
Pro: "Very fast flight"

Pro: "New interior felt clean and the new entertainment system felt responsive with a large amount of movies and shows to view"
Contra: "seats were very hard with reduced legroom after you recline. Lavatories were far and few. Food was mediocre with 3 meals, I had to ask for extras."
Pro: "I appreciated the timing of when they fed us. It was almost like they read my mind each time I thought... Hmm I'm getting hungry. The movie/tv selection was excellent."
Contra: "I felt cramp, which it's economy class so of course. But in the back there were tons of open rows and I wish they had spread us out."
Contra: "My luggage got lost. That happens sometimes. It showed up in NY after 2 days, but did not arrive at my house until FIVE days later. And even then, the delivery company contracted by air canada would not bring it to my front door, so I had to leave my building to go meet them. With small kids in the house and being home alWhy is this my responsibility?"
Contra: "The flight was delayed. Air Canada didn't provide hotel accommodation for missing connection. Only reimburse C$100 for hotel stay. The cheapest hotel found near the airport cost C$185. Only gave us C$10 per person for meal. We'll never fly Air Canada again."
Pro: "It kept to schedule and didn't crash."
Contra: "Air Canada Rouge is a no-frills bare-bones subsidiary of Air Canada. BEWARE! Don't expect Air Canada levels of comfort or service."
Contra: "No food. Beverage only."
Contra: "The plane was up and down twice when it landfall."
Contra: "It was late arriving in from TO. We had to pre board due to a handicapped companion and there was no time to settle with all the rest of the passengers shoving to get on due to the lateness. The majority of the flight was through turbulence. No one helped with placing bags for the handicapped in the overhead. They did not call for the wheelchair at arrival nor was there an attendant att arrival to push the chair up the ramp."
Pro: "One of the stewardess is really cute and she speaks French"
Contra: "The cabinet temperature is ridiculously low and they only offer a thin blanket"
Pro: "We boarded very quickly! The staff were extremely friendly and made our thirteen hour ride pleasurable. The inflight entertainment had a great deal of new shows and movies. The seats had a decent size and good enough leg room. The flight was smooth, and we took off at a good time. The food was fairly good as well!"
Pro: "Crew very attending, helpful."
