Contra: "I did not check the terms and conditions of the ticket. I am a Star Alliance Gold member and I was expecting SWISS to have a similar booking system like the others I fly with. I found out that the ticket fare did not contain checked luggage ( so I had to pay a hefty fee for it ) and also my 20" wheeled case that was ok in all the other flights I took it with me, this time was oversized and overweight . My wife took out the 2 laptops so it became within weight limits but still oversized - My wife paid for the fee ( I wasn't there at the time and she is not a such experienced flyier as I am ) . When I found out about the fee, I checked their rules and I found out that the hand luggage is allowed to be 22" . I saw in the airplane a lot of people with cases having the same size as mine, that went as checked luggage at a cost fo around 40 . I want to see how can I get my money back . . ."
Contra: "Upgraded seats to Preimium. I had a metal box blocking my foot so was very uncomfortable the entire flight. Not worth the upgrade and was very surprised this seat was considered an upgrade."
Pro: "From the beginning to end the trip was a delight. Crew always on hand and smiling. You really felt welcomed. Lots of food and drinks were on hand throughout the whole trip. It was just wonderful. Cheers to Swiss for providing us with great service."

The one time when I thought the staff faltered was when I hit the paige attendant button, and noone came for 25 mins. I ended up walking to the back of the plane and asking for water myself. I also thought some of the materials used in the plane were cheap, like the foldout tables on the back of the seat, the pillow covers, and the headphones (one of which broke midway). The headphones don't cover the noise of the jet in flight very well."

Then when I called in to the Romania Service Center to rebook, the phones went down in the middle of the call. That is understandable given the extreme volume of calls they were handling. What is unacceptable, is that they made no attempt to contact me once the phones were up. I ended up calling the U.S. service center at 1am local time to rebook...only 3 hours before I needed to leave for the airport. It took an hour - which I paid for at direct dial international rates - to find a flight. I'm very grateful for the U.S. service rep who was kind and helpful. She was the one bright spot in this poorly handled situation."

I spent another 25 minutes running around the airport trying to find someone to assist including a ticket agent to adjust my flight. Only to be told I couldn't get a flight out until the next day and I had to pay more for my original ticket for it. I contacted customer service and their response was a simple copy and paste of the rules which I was well aware of (apparently I should have really been there 90 mins before and not 60 according to the site). I only booked with the airline because it offered an 8 hour layover in Athens...a chance to see a bonus city. There are plenty of other airlines with more flexible and consistent policies. I have traveled the world on many airlines and have never had an early check in counter close or to have to chase down a representative to get service."

Me asignaron el Seat 12 F...lejos de la entrada..sin poder alzar mi pierna ni de 20 cm..y me hicieron esperar que todos salieran del avión. . Llevé 3 horas sin alzar mi pierna, lo cual me daba mucho fastidio ....."

Finally found that desk, not called "Aegean" like we were told, but "GlobeGround" 7. Plane was delayed. 8. At the a Athens airport we were told Taron shouldn't have charged us. What's going on here?"

Contra: "They charged me for a standard one piece of luggage 35 Euro without advance notification. I forgot my phone at the gate, but they did not let me go back to take it (even when I was willing to give up on the flight and bear the cost). An awful company. To stay away."

Pro: "One of the very rare on-time, efficient and smooth flights with Wizzair. Check-in was fairly quick and incident-free, despite some of the other passengers reporting problems with the procedures and the staff. Contra: "I didn't receive my online check in details so I couldn't check in. I was abroad so chasing up details I should have been provided with / were never told that I should have, were not on the top of my to do list. I only found out that I had to check in online and that I hadn't been provided with these details when I arrived at the airport. I spent 30 minutes on hold before the problem was rectified and I was given my online check in details but it was now top late to check in online (by 5 minutes ). The flight was delayed due to a number of things - a late arrival, people being let onto the plane slowly, people not sitting down and allowing the plane to taxi and leave. This had a knock on effect of making the plane land late and for me to miss my connection (train) so basically through last minute.com not providing me with the correct details regarding the flight and the flight then being delayed it tripled my whole journey back home."

Where our bags were all in a pile on the floor because of some malfunction. Ryanair flights are hell!!"

Contra: "When I bought the ticket, i was not clearly informed that we HAD to check in online before arriving to the airport. This was a huge issue. I held off checking in because I wasn't sure if my bag would fit in the overhead bins as I didn't have a tape measure. So I figured, like with every other airline, my wife and I would check in at the desk and pay for the extra checked bag if necessary. Well we ended up having to pay €50 EACH to the airport administrator to get a boarding pass. I went through all the documents I received from the airline, and nothing states that we had to check-in before we arrived. They said they sent me a text message to my hotel, which was the contact number I had put when we bought the ticket. That didn't do anything to help. We will be fighting this with the airlines, discussing our bad experience, and never flying with them again."
