We were charged an extra €45 each for hand luggage that is standard everywhere else. Not helped that we flew easyJet to Budapest without issue only to be stung on the return with Wizz. In fact WizzAir have 2 sizes of cabin baggage allowance and small is way too small and it felt like a trap to make money off unsuspecting passengers. They are unapologetic and perfunctory at the boarding gate - clearly they are used to unhappy punters being caught out by this! Food choice onboard not great"

Contra: "The only downside you get when traveling with a low cost airline is that you cannot control the quality of your fellow passengers. The ones next to me were smelly both due to ling time, no see with soap&water and also some wine was involved in their breath, I think. But this is the way you get cheap air transport costs, so it is fine."

Contra: "They charged me £45 for my hand bag which was smaller than the standard handbags in other airlines, I had bought priority check-in service but still they didn't allow me to check in before anyone else, as I had to go to a separate queue to pay for my smaller than normal sized hand baggage ( in all other budget airlines its more than acceptable and was slightly bigger than Wizz Air allowance), the WizzAir hand baggage size allowance is way way too small and its a trap to make money off unsuspected passengers like myself. They were rude at the boarding gate and non-apologetic. Did not sympathize with me, although they were nice to other white passengers, I felt I was treated differently because of my race, specially after the Paris attack all brown skinned men were viewed as a potential threat I suppose and did not have a good experience in the flight as all passengers were looking at me funny! Point to be noted: On my way to Budapest from London I was carrying the same hand bag and I was not asked to pay extra!! Inconsistent service!"

Our tickets where 30 euros and by the time we were done paying all their fees for baggage and printinh tickets we were up over 300!! If you don't print your ticket before you get there they charge you $45 for each one! That's more than our flight cost. On top of that you have to stand in one line to get a slip for baggage then another line to pay the fee and then go back to the original line to drop the bags. This was the worst experience we've ever had. I will not be flying Ryair ever again."

I am not a complainer but when a company does not perform and provides below industry standards, it needs to be reported so others are informed."

The allowed us to board and be seated for about 15 mins before telling us that there was a problem with the aircraft. DONT YOU CHECK THIS BEFORE PASSENGERS BOARD?! Priority was a waste of money we all got on at the same time anyway. Rubbish service, rubbish airline and my £26 flight turned in £60 easily with all the extras which were a waste of my money."

It’s not a fair or smart business move, I will not book with them again."

Had to pay to move to sit together. It costs £80 to bring a suitcase for the hold, however if you don't pay for priority boarding your handluggage gets placed in the hold anyway despite there being more than enough space in overhead lockers. If I had known how much it would be to pay for the 'extras' which area really basic requirements, I would not have booked with Ryanair. Next time I'll be going with another company who actually provide a basic service"

Card payment on board was disabled. Payment in the currency of the departing country was impossible."

Contra: "Firstly, there were no sandwiches (hot or cold) available on a late afternoon flight, so the remaining food options were poor. Secondly, my £7 Gin and Tonic that I'd hardly touched slid right off the frankly useless trays and into my lap. The flight attendant literally threw me a few paper towels to help. I spent the remaining three hours of the flight soaking wet."

Contra: "I have been traveling international with spotty wifi and apparently if you check into your flight less than 2 hours (not standard with most airlines) I was charged nearly double the actual ticket price. I will never fly this airline again!"
Contra: "The extra cost for baggage. The flight was late but there was no announcement or explanation. The flight attendants talked over the loud intercom the entire time trying to sell products like perfume. One flight attendant kept bumping into me each time she walked by. The flight felt crowded. The seats are cramped and uncomfortable. I fly a lot and this was my first and probably last time flying ryan air."
