Contra: "Considering that we’re in the middle of a pandemic no LH ground staff at Heathrow Airport was leading by example wearing protective equipment such as mask or gloves. Further, I found it inexplicably that almost every seat was taken on this flight. If LH knows that the flight is booked close to capacity I would have expected they do their part and due diligence by swapping to a bigger aircraft to help protect people and their customers, it’s not that they wouldn’t have other aircrafts grounded and ready to go... A reduced beverage service is all you can do, really? LH - very disappointing once again"

Contra: "Proper connection time. I lost the entire day, and now have to get a cab for $100 instead of my colleague meeting me. 3 am is impossible. And I am still not in Tel Aviv."

Contra: "Frankfurt is just an awful airport. Too many landings and not enough infrastructure. Also tired of planes having to park thousands of yards from the terminal. The time to get the bag is as long as the flight. Each about 55 minutes. There is very little about German efficiency here."

Contra: "Flight from Heathrow to Frankfurt delayed, when we arrived we had no chance of making our connecting flight to Split yet no one told us. No one at the gate which didn’t say final call (or on any of the boards) or anyone calling us over the tannoy at any point. Super rude “flight manager” A. Turini burst out laughing when we told him our situation and when I asked why he said “Well would it make you happier if I cry instead?” So unprofessional."
Pro: "The ground staff in Heathrow was helpful. They happily swapped me onto an earlier flight to Munich after I spotted delays out of Munich, allowing me ample time to connect in Munich airport"
Contra: "Lufthansa's narrowbodies have one of the most uncomfortable seats in the sky. These slimline seats are built with a central beam running vertically along the midline of the seat, making it very uncomfortable with your spine."

Contra: "The flight was delayed . When we arrived in Frankfurt, there was a quie of 200m . After waiting 10 minutes, they asked us to go to other passport control . We had to walk onother 10 minutes to get there ."

Pro: "The flight itself was fine."
Contra: "Getting to LHR early for. 6:30 am flight was no use since they don't have any departing flights between 11pm and 6 am. So we were stuck in the lobby for hours until ticket agents arrived at 4 am. There was one open coffee shop however. Then we waited for security to arrive at about 4:30 am to get through and it was quite a slow shake down. One through there were no restaurants open until 5-5:30 am. The flight itself was fine. Facilities at Frankfurt were minimal with toilets offering only one stall each. While standing in the long queue a lady and her young daughter were rudely ushered out by the male custodian for cleaning, and then it could not be used for another 10-15 minutes."
Pro: "Even on such a short flight I got a sandwich. It was a salmon sandwich which I never had on any other flights. They usually serve cheese or ham or chicken in the Middle East. It was nice to have something different and nutritious."
Pro: "The crew and in flight experience were excellent."
Contra: "Terminal procedures, particularly a tarmac delay and understaffed customs and security personnel, jeopardized my London Heathrow connection in spite of the 80 minute layover. Itineraries with less than a two-hour connection should be discontinued as a fraudulent misrepresentation of the passenger's likely success. I will never fly through Heathrow again."

This was a code share operated by United with a 787. Don't care for the herringbone 2-2-2 seating in business, many other carriers have gone to a 1-2-1 which is better. Food wasn't much better than economy but what really counts is lie flat seats.

When we got to our hotel, we had to pay $20 for the transfer to hotel even though he left. Now we have no toothbrush or any change of clothes & hopefully we will get our luggage tomorrow after 2pm"

Only when we missed the take off time by 10 minutes they bothered to update us and inform us that the flight is being delayed in 2 hours."

So, I can't rate this flight because it had nothing to do with Austrian Airlines. You need to update your site so that it clearly states "Operated by..." when people are booking."
Contra: "My row was bypassed a couple of times for food/beverage service even though we were wide awake and looking expectantly at the flight attendant. Sometimes she asked me if I wanted a drink or something and as I was answering she looked away and moved on. I couldn't believe it. Then after pressing the service button and waiting a long time for her to return, she acted like it was a huge inconvenience."
Pro: "Not at all a comfortable experience, but I suppose it served its purpose."
Contra: "Seats in economy class are way too crowded, plane was too warm and air was stale (and had an odd odor). Choices of dinner selections ran out quickly, and serving any type of curry (the only option left) on an 8 hour flight is a very questionable choice.... Staff gave some people the full can of drinks, while others only a half glass. Also, even though there was not much turbulence throughout the flight, the plane was still VERY shaky for the majority of the time in the air. Not very comforting for those who are not frequent flyers. In the future, I plan to stick with British Airlines."

This plane needs to be retired it is so old! United Airlines should be embarrassed! I can't believe this plane is still in circulation at least the inside of it! How about updating it to modern times?"

Pro: "We liked that the boarding process seemed to have been streamlined and organized from other flights (this was a UNITED flight which we flew through Austrian Airlines). It was efficiently done. We thought the selection of movies to watch were terrific. So glad to have caught up on several I had wanted to see. Considering we had a 3 hour delay, I got to catch up on ALL the movies I wanted to watch!"
Contra: "The plane was delayed just over 3 hours by a mechanical problem with the radar. We taxied to a remote gate while they tried to fix it. Original estimates were an hour, but it ended up being 3 hours. We stayed onboard which was probably best in this case - but having been trapped by United on a flight many years ago from 4 pm until midnight with 3 small children and then told to come back at 7 am the next day - I am very wary of the airline now and actually drive from Washington to Chicago as we could have done that in the time they trapped us! This flight was practically empty however, so unlike many transatlantic flights, we could spread out and were more comfortable than usual. So that was lucky for United otherwise my scores might have been a LOT worse! Also, we hadn't eaten, figuring that we would eat dinner on the flight. So after 3 hours we were a bit peckish! The crew came around with a cookie and water. Really think that might have been a little more especially considering the flight had so few passengers. So we arrived back in DC just about 10 pm and, after clearing customs and getting bags, were home to Arlington about midnight - 5 am our time! Given the conditions and circumstances, the crew did a good job. I would like to think that Austrian Airlines would have some input with United. The outbound daytime flight from Washington to London had been simply terrific with a wonderful crew - new to the route I think. They gave as pointers as to what we were seeing out the window, which we always appreciate. Just as my daughter wondered what we were seeing out the window, the captain would tell us. So in short, the outbound flight was in a different league to the return flight. But that's down to United and not Austrian Airlines. And these things happen and I'm glad we didn't have to change planes or make other plans."
