Was starving, was not served anything but a very low quality sandwich, on a 5 hour flight. Uncomfortable, no entertainment, very boring.

Denied boarding at the document check line. In line with all the other passengers but were the only ones denies boarding. We’re told the gate had closed.

Inwouldnt change anything on short flights within EU

The flight yesterday on 7/14/2011 was canceled. We haven’t received any notifications of the cancellation. My elderly mom had to sit in the excruciatingly hot Domodedovo airport, without any working conditioners with the temperature inside of the airport nearing 30 C, for more than 24 hours. She was afraid to get up to go to the bathroom, because she was afraid she will loose her sit at the airport. After my mom was informed that her flight was canceled, she asked, what she supposed to do now and where she should go, where would she sleep. She was told by Lufthansa representatives that it is non of their business and she can do whatever she wants. No food vouchers, nor hotel accommodations were offered to my elderly mom. My mom had to pay extra money and get another COVID test because the one she had was expiring on 7/14/2021. Nobody even cares that she has been vaccinated here in USA and has her vaccinations voutcher with her. It is horrendous, what is happening right now!!!!!! Not only my mom became a victim of shooting at her Kingsooper’s store in USA, she couldn’t even return back home to USA in a comfortable, human way after the trip that where supposed to take my mom’s mind off of the shooting at her store. Instead it is causing now enormous anxiety and fear. I am praying that tomorrow she will return back home to USA and non of her flights will be canceled again!

Pro: "I have a servere hearing problem and was concerned (since we were late leaving Zurich for my changeover in Frankfurt), that I would be late because I can't hear any loudspeaker systems (either on planes or in airports). I felt that I could get easily lost between flights and not have time to get to the Frankfurt/Denver flight. I told this to the person at the gate in Zurich, and he immediately arranged for someone to meet me in Frankfurt and take me there. I was met by Maika in Frankfurt and she was just excellent--personable and efficient and really helpful. I'm sorry I couldn't remember the name of the person at the gate in Zurich. He was also great. I wouldn't have done this if I had had more time, but this really made my day (and my flight!) ! Thank you!"

So, regardless of whether you book your tickets 3 months in advance or the day before, you're not actually guaranteed a seat unless you check in online. We weren't told this until we were at the airport and checked in there that we might not be able to get our pre-booked in advance flight because of over-booking from KLM. We then had to wait and see if there were seats available when boarding. Luckily, there were, but we were not sat together. Not the greatest start to our first holiday together as a couple. We were told that if there weren't seats available, they'd pay for us to get to another airport to fly out, which would have meant a huge delay on the only time off we'd get together this year and have to rearrange our pre-booked and pre-paid living arrangements for the week. All because there wasn't a lot of emphasis on the need to check in online before hand. You'd think if someone checked in at the airport, that would be more of a guarantee that they'd be flying with you that day, but apparently not. Definitely not impressed or happy with this part of the KLM experience. This is the only company that we've had this problem with, they should make it clearer that it is essential to check in online."

The flight was good. The only thing that was difficult was the boarding procedure. I had to wait in line for a long time. Next time I’ll book priority boarding. Once we were in the air, everything was good.

Pro: "I could not fault anything with this flight. I arrived 2.5 hours before my flight, was able to drop my bag (I kept it to 20kgs) and pass security all within 15 minutes. Boarding was efficient and the seat quite comfortable. I was asleep before take off and didn't wake until 30 mins before landing. For any airline that many complain about - there is nothing I could fault. Yes - it is cheap and yes there are restrictions but if you follow the advice ie pack to the kg limit, arrive as per the airline suggestion for checkin and be at the gate when required and pre-order any food (or eat before the flight) - there is nothing I can complain about - it was cheap and I was able to be where I needed to be 10 min ahead of schedule. Staff were friendly and helpful."

There was no clear guidance for queuing, so the speedy boarding we paid extra for was close to useless, staff then scanned boarding passes without a care for passports. Once on the plane the flight was delayed for 2 hours and only after 45 mins of sitting around waiting for an explanation were we given one by the captain."

Terrible service. The aircraft had no leg room and was hot inside. We will never book a flight with this airline again."

Contra: "Forced to check in online or face a charge. Paid €45 Euros per bag to check in. For Americans traveling between outside countries, Ryan Air has a small area on the boarding pass regarding the "attaining of a visa stamp on the boarding pass, in the baggage drop-off area, prior to boarding the flight." The rest of the boarding pass has other nonsense in larger and highlighted texts, but something as important as obtaining a visa stamp was small and obscure. The gate attendant made a stink about us not having it stamped and was trying to prevent us from boarding because of it. Our response was that no one, at any point, stated we needed a visa stamp on the boarding pass when we checked our luggage in the baggage drop-off area. I've traveled between countries before and have never experienced something like this. Additionally, Ryan Air knew we were Americans since we had to provide our passport numbers abe the country that issued them when we checked in online. You would think that they would have their systems flag Americans so that their employees know to say "hey, I see you're an American. FYI, you need to her a visa stamp on your boarding pass at the baggage drop-off area prior to boarding." Will never use Ryan Air again in my life, regardless of the supposed savings (cause in reality, there are OTHER & BETTER airlines to choose from; don't give crooks business and better to give it to their competitors)."
Contra: "I paid for priority boarding but while boarding there was no difference between priority and general boarding. People with general boarding got on well before me. No one was checking who had it or not."
Contra: "I didn't like that the originally fairly cheap price became higher and higher to provide minimal comfort and service. 30-35 euros per bag, paid ahead of time, is a ridiculously high price to charge in addition to the flight cost. Middle seats unless you are willing to pay more. Not even a drink on the plan unless you are willing to pay. etc etc. It is EXTREMELY inconvenient not to provide a paper ticket. I was unable to print a boarding pass as I was away from home. At the check-in I was not given a paper boarding pass, and then when I got to the entrance area, my phone would not work to show the boarding passes electronically. Ryan Air's website was impossible to navigate to find my boarding passes, taking me literally about a half hour to figure out. This delayed our entry tremendously. On the flight out from Barcelona to Rome my son was allowed to carry on his skateboard plus one small other carryon. On the flight back, he was NOT allowed to take the board through security, and was told he was too late to check the board. This turned out not to be true, but we were not informed of this at check-in, again seriously delaying our boarding. Luckily we had arrived at the airport way too early, and this worked to our advantage given Ryan Air's incompetence. The next day we flew home on Swiss Air - what a pleasant difference to fly on a real airline! No issues, lots of help, etc. etc."
Pro: "I arrived at the airport at the last minute, and the staff was very helpful ensuring I get onto the plane on time."
Contra: "I confirmed and booked online to avoid the fees, however they did not show it in the system. They confirmed I had paired for a new such but still charged me. My bag was overweight and I have to pay a small fortune for that. I was instructed to contact their customer service to get the bill taken care of."
Pro: "Nothing"
Contra: "Flight delayed again in a weeks time"
Pro: "RyanAir has incredibly comfortable seats with TONS of leg room. They were very polite, and lovely!"
Contra: "I didn't like having to pay for water. I also have a carry on size bag that fit in all other airline overhead compartments. Ryan air has smaller maximum size bags meaning I had to check my bags for quite a fee."
Pro: "I didn't like anything"
Contra: "Everything is boor"
Pro: "Row 1 seating"
Contra: "40 mins late"
Pro: "I like the price!"
Contra: "No information from either Kayak or Ryan that I needed to finds a way to print my own boarding pass or face a $50 fee. Absurd!"
Pro: "Cheap"
Pro: "The tickets are very cheap. That's the only good thing I can say about them. You have to check in online prior to boarding. While this may seem easy enough, their system is easily bogged down. Interesting that the portion of their system for purchasing baggage check in works like a charm. But over half an hour later the loading for the final boarding passes took forever and never finished. Shouldn't be a problem but this airline counts on it. After a long wait with a long line and 2 attendants we finally get to the front where the woman exhorts more money in a penalty from us than the entire round trip tickets cost. Additionally this means standing in another long line full of people also being extorted while we run the risk of missing our flight, though we arrived 3 hours before. Didn't have the heart to stand the line up arguing how it was wrong as that would definitely have made someone behind us miss their flight. They very nonchalantly inform you that if you don't pay you don't board though the problem is theirs."
Pro: "although the crew had to make an unscheduled flight, they were very nice"
Contra: "the airplane had a technical issue (they told us it had a flat tire during landing) but they didn't manage to change the wheel and we had more than 4 hours delay. We had to wait for another plane to land in Timisoara (from London) and they scheduled that plane to take us to Bucharest. They should be honest from the beginning instead of telling a lot of lies - it may avoid a lot of conflicts between passengers and crew."
Pro: "All went well,enjoyed every moment,thank-you too the crew and our save flight with Ryanair"
Pro: "That it will be the last time we fly RyanAir. Theur motto low vist simple isca joke only if u have no luggage and do mot eat. Everything is nickle dime even pay forcacdrink of water. Even though purchased priorityvboarding and wheel chair assist, we were coerced to check our rollers and the chair assist was late and deplorable! The crew spends more time hawking food duty free and lotto and does not even collect waste. No flight info at gate. Aisle passenger allowed to have a bag that did not fit underr seat between his legs whole flight in controvention to safety rules!"
