Then the connecting flight at 11:15am IST/TLV was fully booked and I was booked only at 13:30 IST/TLV and therefore arrived more than 7 hours after my original schedule - due to a mechanical. According to IATA and international rules I am now due a full refund on my flight cost and will start proceedings against Turkish Airlines for this money. It was a nightmare for all the hours waiting. We also had to deplane in IST from the JFK flight on steps rather than into a gate!! Same with the TLV/IST flight. Terrible."

There are lots of open source options and I can help you, if it gets confusing. Or, alternatively, allow users to type their city with a keyboard. Scrolling through every city in the state of California is not easier than typing Los Angeles. Especially when arriving at Los Gatos and thinking “wait... did I miss it?” That’s not the only thing wrong with your website, but start here. Look Turkish airlines is wonderful, I’m just saying that it was hell actually buying a ticket and signing up for your rewards program."

They ran out of food, and I had no choice but to eat the pasta option even though I do not eat pasta in my normal life. My knees hurt from not having space to stretch out for such a long flight. It was freezing cold and they did not have extra blankets. It felt like my section kept getting skipped over for everything (food, liquids, general checking in to make sure people were okay). We boarded late, and left late. When I arrived the luggage took VERY long - almost an hour - to come out."

Contra: "My seat was not functioning so I was not able to recline to more comfortably sleep during the flight. The flight was an overnight flight from NYC-JFK to Istanbul, i.e. so a VERY long flight! A flight attendent was not able to get the seat to recline either and said she'd come back to help with another seat or some other solution, but never returned. This made the flight less comfortable and a bit disappointing as my typically experience with Turkish Airways is excellent!!"

The staff was courteous and friendly and even let me keep my can of tomato juice. Contra: "As our first flight got delayed, me and 28 other pallengers flying to israel told the airline agents that we would miss our connection flightfrom turkey to israel. The supervisor assured us that we have nothing to worry about, as the second plane would wait as we are many passengers.however when we landed in turkey the connection flight had already left without us. When trying to speak to turkish airline representatives about getting a new flight, they were super UNhelpful, we waited in very long lines and were required so go to a few different parts of the airport to get a new ticket, a process that was not friendly at all and very frustrating. After about 2 hours of waiting on lines, i got a flight that required me to wait 7 hours in the airport and measley voucher for a very small fast food meal. When i asked to be admitted to the lounge (as i waited 7 hours in the airport due to the airlines mistake), they did not agree to grant me access. When i asked to at least get the wifi code from the lounge so i can tell my familly that i am stuck on turkey, this was also rejected. While waiting in the airport, i spoke to many other people on other flights who had been stuck in the airport under very simillar circumstances, some even worse than mine. I also have many friends who have experiences simillar experiences with turkish airlines. If you are looking for a reliable flight, that will get you to your destination on time and will help you out when a problem occurs, Turkish airlines is deffinetelly NOT the flight for you. I personally will never fly with them again after the way i was treated."

I've flown the following for reference: Lufthansa Air Swiss Delta Air France Air Arabia Saudi Airlines Egypt Air and a couple more I can't think of right now. I'm a very medium sized build and really short (5' 6") and I was so uncomfortable I wanted to (and probably will) cancel my return flight with them. My wife's back is still hurting from that flight. The staff are just plain awful save for 2 flight attendants. Out of 2 flights so far. I was told afterwards that this is commonplace when flying Turkish Airlines. For fairness sake I should mention that both Egypt Air and Saudi Airlines were worse. Whatever money you think you're saving by flying this atrocity you're gonna be spending on fixing your neck and back. Spend the extra and go with Swiss or even Delta. Avoid this rubbish"

Contra: "I had a big problem with the Baggage allowances on this particular flight. I was only allowed 20kg on a long (8hr) international flight, one which I was moving around the world for. If the policy was more like 40kg, there would have been no problems whatsoever and my trip would have been the best I have experienced in a long time. I suggest they improve their regulations quickly to widen their customer base."

They started the flight off with warm towels, then Turkish delight, before having dinner, a middle set of drinks, and then breakfast. I felt like I was almost in business. Plus the crew were very friendly and accommodating. The boarding was smooth though a bit delayed but that was probably more dependent on the airport than the airline."

Contra: "The Soviet Union wants its airline back. This was perhaps the RUDEST airline experience I've ever experienced. I was at Frankfurt (FRA) airport waiting to board Air Moldova Flight 864 to Chisinau (KIV). Due to a delay caused by Frankfurt security (and no fault of my own), I was delayed in reaching the gate. Since it was past my boarding time, I grabbed my bags from the conveyor belt once past security without having time to repack. I arrived at the gate and the extremely rude Air Moldova gate agent on duty yelled at me and demanded that I give her my boarding pass. When I told her I needed to pack, she yelled that there was “no time for that”. When I searched for my pass, she again yelled and said “NOW!”. When I told her that it was not my fault that I arrived late since there was a delay at security, she said “Not my problem!”. After she checked my boarding pass, I tried to repack and she again yelled “There is no time. Go to the bus NOW!” I once again told her that it was not my fault I got delayed and she again yelled “NOT MY PROBLEM”. In addition to rude employees, the airline is clearly in violation of safety regulations. The safety card in the back seat pocket was written in ARMENIAN – and Armenian only, thanks to the plane having been leased and Air Moldova not appropriately changing the safety cards. How did they expect people who read Romanian or Russian (the local languages) or English to understand it! On top of that, the plane was easily 20 years old or more and dirty. If they can't even keep a plane clean or have the appropriate safety cards, what else are they not maintaining. Do not fly this terrible airline!"

Contra: "I din't like the fact that Lufhtansa company uses double standards for the countries where they have their flights. From USA, San Jose, Ca, to Frankfurt, Germany everything was good (flight on 08/31/2018 - 09/01/2018). They have been very profesional, beganing wih the boarding time untill the arrival in Frankfurt. The flight to Romania was a different story. They haven't been very professional at all. The flight had a delay and nobody said a word. It was just a clerck there who didn't tell to the Lufthansa passengers for a while anything about our delay. So, finally, he said after 15-20 minutes that our fligt will be later, 20 minutes, than the scheduled time on our tickets. They seemed do not care too much about the Romanian passengers."

If you have 2 beverages on your tray and your neighbor needs to get out, you need a third person to assist (impossible to get out of your seat with 2 beverages in your hands (we tried it!) - just too narrow (even for a European Teenager) 7. It was not clearly visible who boards where. An Economy couple standing patiently in line at the Wong boarding line was sent back to the end of the long economy line - although NOBODY was in the business line"

When she realized that this time was not my foot, (which in the first time it was and she kicked my knee with the speed of her movement and I was not aware to save the moment) nevertheless, the second time and for the rest of my trip I was so careful that it did not happen again. But it happened one more time, but not with my foot. although she thought it was me. She looked at me again with a very bitter-eye but when she realized that the problem was not me she looked at another way acting as if she didnot understand what was going through her mind or my mind."
Contra: "The attidute is what I try not to get involved. I am on the air, traveling, and I don't like to experience any negative feelings from no one. I am consciously aware not to give any reasons for any form of unacceptable behaviors either with or without evidence. I WILL NOT EVER AGAIN, travel with LUFTHANSA just because of the way they treated me in my case which I travel always with my emotional pet, and this time they gave me a hardship and I had to travel without Logan. and additionally to this, I had to accept that flight attendance wordless aggressive behavior. Which in my opinion, I believe she could say I am sorry, and not looking at me as her worse enemy. Madness. She honestly needs a psychological evaluation."

During the flight the pilot made up about 15minutes but then a Heathrow circled for 20 minutes this caused us to miss our connecting fight what are it worse is that BAnever todos we had issued our flight even though they knew but the time we landed that we could no take it through security in time . It wa very confusing trying to figure out that we had to reschedule and where and how to do it."

Was then woken by the passenger behind kick my chair which was not comfortable at all and the entertainment system was something out of the 80s, screen so small could see the picture that well and the touch screen was not that reactive. Cabin crew we grumpy. Ashamed this is called British not what I called British........"
Contra: "The aircraft (flight operated by American Airlines) was so old that in Economy class there weren't individual screens on the back of the front seat. I haven't seen anything like that since the 1990s! There was no USP or outlet to charge phones or ipads so i couldn't even use my entertainment. Passengers should be informed in advance or given a significant discount. Very disappointed."

Contra: "Security - I was screened and it was uncomfortable and they kept the lights on for a while overnight"

Pro: "Great staff. Helpful and friendly. I had a comfy seat on the aisle and the plane wasn't crowded so I had an empty seat between me and the next passenger. The food was good. The movie/TV options were fun. I was entertained the whole way to London."
Contra: "Even though it was Finnair it was quite difficult to get my boarding passes and was unable to choose the seats on my long flight. I had to get my boarding passes through American Airlines and then flew through British Airways. It would have been very frustrating/difficult to a new traveler. The flights themselves were very good, they were accommodating and was able to move my seat for me in JFK, the flight with British Airways was good."
Contra: "It would've been so amazing to have wifi on a flight like that."
Contra: "My flight to NYC was delayed 2 hours because of weather and I got a notification that this flight was delayed as well. Got to the counter at 10:50 (flight was delayed to 11:48) and they would not let check in. Ended up missing all my connecting flights and had to pay an additional $1600 as a result."
Contra: "Seven hours before my flight, I got an email from British Airways saying my flight was cancelled and I had been rebooked on a flight the next day. I called them immediately and was told the flight was cancelled because of inclement weather on the route. I checked the national weather advisory and saw no such weather alert. The service rep at BA told me there was "absolutely nothing" she could do, at which point I asked for a manager. I waited for almost 30 minutes, and once the manager came on I was put on a flight that same night, on a different airline. If I hadn't pushed back and demanded a more reasonable accommodation, they would have done nothing to right their wrong. For this reason I am extremely unhappy with my experience with British Airways."
Pro: "Food was tasty"
Contra: "I was not able to select my seat until 24 hours before the flight without paying, which I think is ridiculous. Once I checked in 24 hours before, I was still not able to select my seat. The problem was related to me booking through a partner airline. The partner (American Airlines) couldn't help me because they couldn't access the BA seats. And BA couldn't help me on the phone to select my seat for some other reason (I can't remember). I had to wait until I got to JFK a few hours before the flight, by which time all the seats were filled and I was stuck in a middle seat. Basically, I think there needs to be better communication or coordination between BA and their partner airlines to help customers before the flight, and also it is absurd to charge $35 to choose their seat."
Pro: "We had a close connection so they moved us to the front of plane before landing to ensure we were the first off the plane."
Pro: "Staff did their best to be helpful and cheerfull to make up for a 3 hour delay on our flight"
Contra: "3 hour delay"
Pro: "The food and entertainment options were both above average."
Contra: "The flight was being run by Iberia, not British Airways. Iberia has a policy which did not allow me to check in without proof of a return flight. Unfortunately, my travel partner had booked the return flight and did not share the details with me. I was not able to reach my travel partner and, as such, was forced to buy a new ~$2,300 return ticket on the spot in order to provide the necessary proof. This was an extreme inconvenience, as I nearly missed my flight. If Iberia or British Airways made its travelers aware of this policy in advance of their check in. I have no intention of flying Iberia ever again."
Contra: "The air in the airplane was very cold and no blankets were provided. The aircraft seemed very old. Small movie screens on the ceiling, too far away to watch movie."
Pro: "Crew was very kind"
Contra: "Screens for entertainment were a bit fuzzy, food was just ok, leg and arm space was tight"
Pro: "When I finally got on the flight."
Contra: "That we were delayed overnight. Wrong plane with wrong crew. No communication to the passengers."
Pro: "Nice food, polite, warm and competent staff, blankets and pillows at every seat. Kids enjoyed all the shows. You knew you were not flying an airline that cut corners."
Contra: "Plane crew had to reassign seats since plane used had a different configuration than one listed at check-in. That took a long time, but crew was experienced and calm and handled it."
