Contra: "We had an engine failure during the first ten minutes or so of our flight that required us to turn around and head back to Istanbul, then wait for another plane, then reboard and try again. Our first flight was in the air an hour or so. Engine failure is always a concern - why was this issue not found during a routine maintenance check-up?"

Contra: "Upon arriving to Frankfurt airport (gate Z) from Boston, i had an hour to make it to gate A including passport control. Once I got to to gates A50-69 I was told that i had to turn back and go through a different passport control as the one close to gates A50-69 was too busy/full. So I turned back although i had no specific gate number where the passport control was. Once I got there, after 10 mins walking (around gate Z20) around and asking lufthansa staff I came across a rather long queue. At that point I only had 30 mins until my flight to Budapest was boarding. I knew I would not get through that queue on time and there was no assistance. So I decided to turn nack and go back to gates A50-69 assport cobtrol where luckily there was no queue at all. I do not understand why i was turned away by staff the very first time I got to that passport control and why there was no assistance by airport staff. Not happy at all about that."

Pro: "The food and drink were the only two enjoyable moments of this flight."
Contra: "The crew in Cluj airport could not care less about getting the plane boarded and departed on time. For 20 minutes crew stood around in the airport talking to each other and using their cellphones. Finally the transport bus was loaded only to have the bus driver get out, and talk to another employee while simultaneously using his phone. No information was given for the delay and the plane was boarded at time of departure. This careless and unbothered attitude resulted in a missed connecting flight for my partner and I. We were completely unassisted by crew on the plane and ended up having to wait 24hours for our next flight home. Absolutely disgusted by the service provided from Cluj to Munich. I would seriously consider another airline before booking again with Lufthansa for this route."

Contra: "Apparently the rude gate agent decided to randomly pull people out of the mass gaggle for boarding and check carryons she seemed to believe we’re too heavy or big, while letting other bigger ones and heavier ones stating safety concerns. The bin has a total weigh limit, not the individual bag. Lufthansa needs to educate its employees."

Contra: "You get onecthecshuttle bus first but then it iscafree for all when you disembark. Only 9ne stairway was operational when we arrived so slow boarding. Business Class seats are same ad economy - just the middle seat is vacant. You get a mediocre meal."

Pro: "at RDU after they missed to notify me in time, they were very nice to find me the fastest route on the next day, not miss my whole conference . They give me food vulture also. most of the flying attendances were really kind under my travel, except on the MUC-IAD plane"
Contra: "They didn't notify me in time on a delay and didn't suggested a different route. Therefore I was able to flew just the following day as my connection to the oversea flight was more then an hour delay. It happened with me flying to Budapest, and also flying back from Budapest. Make you better understand, that does it mean for me: in Budapest I missed the first part of my conference, and with the flying back one day later I lost one payed work day. As I have family in Budapest I decided to stay for the night there, and not at Munich, but just rescheduling my flight and providing me a taxi drive was so complicated, that it took two and half extra hrs at the airport, Also Lufhansa put me in my rescheduled back trip the MUC-IAD flight on the 45C seat, what was the worst seat on the plane. Not just that. When they have plenty of empty seat in all of the section, and they wanted to sell it the economy plus seats for more than hundred dollars, I mentioned to the fight attendance my misery ,and how I don't like the seat what I got, and she laughed on me, and I heard her telling her colleagues,this kind of funny way as they were behind me. That's no how they need to treat passenger, Also on flying back they didn't react fast, and they missed to put me on the Frankfurt plane, what could be an alternative route, on the same day, instead they sent me desk to desk."

The flight we missed was still at the gate but the door had closed. We were told the flight was oversold so it benefited the airline that we missed it. It’s muxh cheaper to put us in a horrible hotel with disgusting food and fly us out the next day, then pay people to choose a new flight. I had two small children at home and Diebel to this incompetence missed my 4 year olds birthday. He was devastated all thanks to your airline."

Contra: "the second leg from FRA to BUD entailed a massively disorganized, no queue control free for all to go through the boarding gates, all of which just led to an overcrowded bus.... which meandered through the airport to your jet on the tarmac.. they then allowed boarding from either rear or front of plane which of course lead to the throngs meeting in the middle and trying to squeeze past each other... horrible. Then... the checked bag did not make it to Budapest as they forgot to transfer it in FRA. so, yeah all in all it was a cheap flight and we got what we paid for."

Worst part - 3 family members were seated at different places and it was very difficult to make sure senior citizen travelling with me was alright, got food on time, took her medicines, etc. At the desk when I asked to be seated together, we were told to ask in the flight and in the flight they were unable to help."

When the airplane took off from Munich, one of the over head bin opened up which was full of carry-ons just above a family with two little kids. Everybody got scared that something will be flying out of there. I understand that no one should leave their seat to close it, but it was extremely dangerous for it to stay open, and because no flight attendant came to close it two of the passengers had to got up."

Contra: "Girl at the bording desk got in an argument with an passenger and she could have managed it a lot better then that."

Pro: "One of the very rare on-time, efficient and smooth flights with Wizzair. Check-in was fairly quick and incident-free, despite some of the other passengers reporting problems with the procedures and the staff. Boarding was quick and the flight actually arrived 10 minutes earlier than scheduled."
Contra: "As usual, the cabin crew is adequately polite, but not overly friendly, the food & beverage range is mediocre and overpriced at best and the entertainment is virtually non-existent."

Pro: "I think some of the issues were passenger related, and passengers not listening to the crew. So it wasn't so much I liked it but some of the crew's attitudes were warranted based on the passengers."
Contra: "We were loaded onto the bus to take us to the plane and then stood on the bus for 45 minutes! Then were delayed even longer. With zero explanation the entire time. Additionally having to pay for even water is a bit much, especially when I came prepared, but drank more because it was hot on the bus."

Contra: "Extremely small and uncomfortable seats even for a small person."

Contra: "I went up to the check in desk 4 hours prior check since this was a connecting flight.I asked the employee when can I check in,she told me 1 and a half hour prior boarding,when I walked back the same person told me I have to pay 35 euros for not checking in online.I told her that I have been flying for about 20 years but I have never been charged for checking in at the airport and I also told her she should have told me when I asked her hours before.She just ignored me and gave me a shitty attitude at the Frankfurt airport.I was expecting a professional costumer service,like that I'm being used to by other airlines,but it was a total disappointment."

If i were to bring an oversized and too heavy handluggage on board no doubt I wouldn't get away with it ! However the number of large and heavy bags passengers brought on board last night was ridiculous . It was a real struggle for people to find lockers for.their bags. Some people had quite a few. Delays take off and creates unnecessary chaos. Couldn't understand why I had to pay to check in online, obviously missed that when bookrd. No contact us button - I would like to change seat I booked for return but cannot see how to do this on line."

I happened to get really lucky otherwise I wouldn't have gotten to fly on a flight I had previously paid for and was on time to."

Pro: "The weather was nice."
Contra: "The boarding was announced 30 minutes before the beginning of the procedure. All the passengers were standing in the queue, without any possibilities to sit down. At Luton there is no connection among the announcements and the actual status of the boarding of a particular plane."

Contra: "They ticketing agent lost my luggage, after misreading the "package" I had to purchase just to check a bag. They had a push cart in which they sold perfumes and cosmetics. They charged for everything, including coffee and water."

Pro: "The lines to check in do not wrap around like most airlines- we stood on a line for over an hour and weren’t even near the front. Then they announced anyone on our flight needed to go to s different line to check in as we were nearing boarding time. In the rush we lost a jacket and no one from Ryan Air. Could care less. Not one smiling face! Awful!!!"

Contra: "It was required to check in prior to arrival to airport to avoid a fee. I did not have internet access still I arrived. I had to pay 55 euro for a simple check in. Not fair to folks who do not use data for internet nor WiFi. A email could be sent 72 hours but that does not mean people check all emails or they even have access to the web. It’s not a fair or smart business move, I will not book with them again."

Secondly, my £7 Gin and Tonic that I'd hardly touched slid right off the frankly useless trays and into my lap. The flight attendant literally threw me a few paper towels to help. I spent the remaining three hours of the flight soaking wet."

Contra: "Called to gate only to then have to wait over an hour before boarding. No info given just stood there like lemons. Also they do their upmost to make you pay to sit next to each other! I know they are trying to make as much profit as poss but just annoying."

I am writing the NY Times and Washington Post about your strategy to take extra $ from first time flyers of your airline. Shamfull !!!! Contra: "Everything, firstly I checked in early as recommended to find that my wife and I were not sat together. It gave me the option to change one of our seats, stating that it would only increase in cost if we select a more expensive seat. It turns out there were more free seats than reserved but to sit next to my wife (without changing hers) it was going to cost £10, no idea why as they hadn't selected her a more expensive seat. Guess what.....the exact same happened when checking in on our return journey, can't wait to board the plane in a couple of days! When arriving at the airport it is clear Ryanair are removing staff to keep cost down with no care for passenger satisfaction, you check your bags in automatically which appears a scam for over weighing your cases and charging you without having to speak to you. It coat us £10 for being over a kilo, we didn't believe we were but paid it as we thought we had no choice because no staff were close by. A couple beside us were supposedly 3 kilos over and believed this to be incorrect, they kicked off enough of a fuss to be able to go check in face to face and not pay a single penny, doesn't quite seem fair? The final nail in the coffin was the fact that at 8.45 (our supposed departure time) we were stuck in a huge queue watching people get off the plane we were due to board. No delays or hold ups had been announced yet we should have been boarding at 8.15 and told to go to our gate as normal for this time. No plain in sight and when it arrives we can't go straight on as people are getting off it! All in all Ryanair have been awful so far and I am dreading our flight home!"

Pro: "I liked the new interior of the plane - lot more room, easier to move between seats, easier to place luggage"
Contra: "The crew did everything necessary, but they did not smile, their communication was not spontaneous and a bit "robot" like. This was in in contrast to the crew on our first flight to Brussels - the crew there was cheerful and fun to travel with."

Contra: "We stood in line for almost 40 minutes with no signs or help from anyone. Finally got to the desk and we were told we Needed to have boarding passes so we needed tonsee customer service. Stood in line for 30 minutes to have the customer service guy charge us to print out boarding passes and that we hadn't checked in. Then sent us back to check boarding passes only to find out we didn't pay for checked luggage. All in all, we arrived 2 hours early only to pay twice as much as our original tickets and barely make our flight. Do your selves a favor and pay the more expensive route, because the cheap tickets were not even remotely worth the hassle."

Pro: "Boarding was reasonably slick. Staff were very polite and helpful. Flight was on time."
Contra: "Disembarking was aWful. Flight was packed and the buses from landing site to airport entry were rammed. At least 6 passengers left standing outside the bus for a good 10 minutes with indecisive ground crew pacing, staring and disappearing with no solution until a senior member arrived and squeezed people into the driver's cabin. Seat space is pretty tight. Not the most comfortable. Not a fan of trekking to Stanstead but it was earliest flight so no option but Ryanair"
